Great food at a good price with plenty of choice. Food arrived piping hot and a good size portion (in fact we ordered too much)

Food and service was good, but went with my partner who has an allergy to peanuts. Eaten at other Indians before with no problem, and informed the waiters multiple times when booking the table and ordering about his allergy. The ingredients are listed on the menu, and everything he ordered did not have peanuts listed. About 30 minutes later we were driving to A+E who confirmed on a blood test he was having an allergic reaction to the food. Avoid if you have any food intolerances or allergies as cross contamination is not taken seriously.

Start to finish lovely eveni g went as a group of girls on a Saturday night a couple was pregnant so they moved us tables with no fuss to be near the air con and the toilets staff were so attentive and friendly and profession but the food was absolutely amazing we all ordered something different from korma to madras and no one had a bad word to say about the food it was so good!!

I ordered a £60 takeaway, it took 90 minutes to be delivered which I don’t mind as I understand it ca get busy and places have limited number of drivers. But the meal was horrendous. Every single dish tasted like it had a gallon of salt in it! It never used to be like this so I’m assuming have employed a really bad chef! Every dish went in the bin, I emailed them straight away to give them Chance to rectify it before leaving a review but it’s been 3 days now and I’ve been ignored so their customer service is clearly as bad as their food!! AVOID!!

A lovely evening out with my husband, we don’t live local but had this restaurant recommended and it really is wonderful. The staff are so helpful and happy and the food is amazing. Thank you we will return

A group of 9 of us were accommodated with ease and excellent service. Poppadoms and pickles, starter, main, rice, sharing a bread plus two drinks worked out at £32 a head. Food was generally hotter than from other similar restaurant's across most of the dishes ordered but were all still tasty and enjoyable. Pickle trays were served in reusable containers, which seemed a little different to the normal. Top tip, Rice portions were for definitely for one person, so don’t under order! Overall, an enjoyable curry experience in the centre of cleethorpes.

Lovely food but not fantastic! We had two very acceptably nice dishes, but it was easy to pick out they were made from the same base sauce. Our order was incorrect but was rectified by a takeaway - however, it would have been better if we had received what we ordered at the table. The chicken in both dishes was tough and dry, an indication that it's pre-cooked and reheated according to the relevant dish. The portion sizes of the rice and naan were not as expected and very small for the price charged - maybe this is a reflection of the cost of living/profit margins? We'd think twice about going again - it's not as good as it used to be - it was nice, not horrible. It really is 'middle of the road'.

For the most part the food was nice tasting or had the potential to be. The chef can thankfully cook for the most part, perhaps change some of his meat supply but ive no doubt he can cook. most of all its a lack of business acumen that trips this place up. When you have 3 curry houses side by side there needs to be be some attention to standing out. Frankly at the end, i felt id lucked out and picked the wrong one.... As i left i had formed an opinion that greed... based on the owners ego and not being in tune or attentive to the details a customer wants is what let this place down..... And I felt frustrated that i had not got what what i paid for.... Modern Décor, but feels a little cheaply done and the single unisex toilet to serve the entire restaurant is woefully inadequate, so go before you visit is my advice.... as if its remotely busy..... the rest of the table will be ordering desert by the time your done. Pickle tray consists of recycled Aldi Bramwells Sauce Jars (ive nothing against Aldi but i felt a little off put by this...like many hands and spoons had been through the same pickles id had and then the lid goes back on for the next person - this is most certainly the case with some of it given the attitude of management) Theres a gallon of lime pickle (which i and many others hate), the red jam, the chopped onion..... But yet the bit thats fresh from the fridge - to go with the onion ( the Mint Riata) comes in a different pot the size of a thimble thats not even full. And this is gone before everyone on a table of four has barely even had a teaspoon full.... And if you want extra riata as a replacement portion that should have been enough in the first place...well thats another pickle tray on your bill....so this all feels a bit of a scam Forget the firm Majority staple favourite of Mango Chutney because it isnt served, so unless you like lime pickle, it basically turns into the jam or onion without the raita....had i known id avoid ordering this all together.... Rice for your curry served in a bowl thats about the size of a tea mug...so be ready for that.....and if your the type to share then your completely screwed....I hope you ordered a nan bread for your new soup it also the consistency of thai sticky rice. I dont know if thats on purpose or overcooked...it was actually really nice, but sadly over before it started and gone in about 3/4 mouthfuls. Sizzling tikka platter main is wheeled out of the kitchen by the waiter then plates it up with tongs before handing it over to you, wasting the whole spectacle. (A: like you can be trusted with a sizzle plate to portion it out yourself at your own preference and B: now everyone else has to watch there food going cold whilst he tries to grab every tiny morsel of ingredient on it)......So by the time its got from the kitchen service, to the trolley, to the table, through the above exercise and then yours put in front of you....congratulations - yours is now Luke warm. I can only assume probably because the restaurant doesn't owns 3 skillet plates...a lot like the fact they dont own enough pickle tray bowls. Food itself was tasty but not nearly enough of it. mixed meat curry consisted of 2 tiny chunks of chicken, 2 small kofta balls and 4 pieces of Lamb mutton that was so tough you couldn't swallow it. Luckily as my rice vanished a fast as it arrived my empty rice mug/bowl was a handy receptacle to deposit the chewed inedible pieces in. If you wish to avoid this issue - stick to a single meat traditional dish, (the lamb is not tossed in at the end and is much more tender) and you will likely enjoy it immensely. I could go on but i wont, thought the above was worth mentioning in the efforts of progress. but overall i would not go again. way too frustrating to enjoy and who wants that when your handing your money over.

My wife and I visited as we had returned to Cleethorpes for our wedding anniversary. We decided to visit places we frequented when courting. The poppadoms tasted stale and cooked in fat that has not reached the required temperature. The cutlery was dirty. The starter - onion Bhajis were very crispy - I mean over cooked. The main, my wife could not eat it. It tasted awful. We left leaving most of our meal, which when asked if everything was ok, we informed them truthfully. We informed them that we had not visited in several years, but the food was awful to which they said it is the same chief. We paid in full for the meal, no offer of discount, although I did not give the feedback for that. I would not recommend visiting. This was one of, if not the best Indian years ago, but sadly not any more.

One of the best Indians we’ve eaten. We hadn’t booked so, didn’t expect to be seated with how busy they were. Seated within 5 minutes and served promptly. Fresh food, great service, highly recommended.

This is a review of their take away service Order made at 6:12 PM. Projected delivery was 7:20 - 7:40 PM at 7:40 PM our order update said our food had arrived. Phoned the restaurant and was advised that the order was with the driver and should not have been noted as delivered. At 7:56PM we still had not received our order and so I phoned again raising the point that our food was getting cold if it was sitting in a vehicle. The assistant assured me it would not be cold!! The assistant confirmed he would phone the driver. After another few minutes the food arrived and, guess what?, it was no better than lukewarm. We were due to eat our meal and then go out with friends and could not send it back to be cooked again and requesting a refund would have meant either cooking something ourselves or ordering elsewhere, which we also had no time to do. The only choice we really had was to heat it up and eat it. The Masala Sauce was a disappointment and the amount of King Prawn was the minimal amount to be acceptable. The paratha was now rock hard and barely edible. Fortunately, the Onion Bhajis were of an above average standard. The cold mushroom bhajis were flavourless. Needless to say, they will not be on our list for the future.

Unbelievably delicious Indian food. We were greeted by very polite staff & seated. Drinks & starters came quick. We really enjoyed our meals!!

I have been enjoying Indian food for over 40 years. This restaurant has by far the worst Indian food I have ever taste. Absolutely everything we ordered in our takeaway for two was in the bin after tasting it. It looked horrible, tasted horrible and did not smell that good either. Would we go back? No!

We had booked a table at a well known Indian restaurant in Cleethorpes for my friend's birthday treat but when we turned up they didn't have us on their list and couldn't accommodate us, so feeling disappointed, we left. We luckily came across Eastern Delight. Fortunately they had space for us and the service and food was superb. We will definitely return there in the future. To top the evening off, they went out and bought my friend a birthday cake and sang happy birthday. What a lovely gesture. Top marks guys.

We have eaten here a few times, and have to say the quality of the food is excellent. If your not a spice fiend I personally recommend the Vanilla ice Korma. But all the dishes are tasty. A particular note goes to the Masala fries. A brilliant twist on chips that complement your meal, slightly spicy but just work. A great alternative to standard chips if your not a rice fan. Staff are friendly and attentive. Good value for the quality.

Had a meal today with my husband this was late anniversary meal. The food wasn’t it’s best, this was very disappointing. The onion bhajis was like mush , The worse meal I’ve had in ages!! My concerns was it wasn’t even busy , two tables...

Received our takeaway and the naan bread was burnt. I ordered chicken rogan josh and it was hotter than a madras!!! I couldn’t eat it! The chips were disgusting! Husbands madras tasted burnt too. Will never order from here. Shame as the staff were lovely...

This is our second visit in just over a month, absolutely gorgeous food, recommended and worth a visit. Their world famous lamb bhuna is to die for. Great service.

Came in early at 5pm and the waiters were so welcoming. Excellent menu and even have a child's menu. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. Very modern decor, beautiful music, quick service.

Worst India iv ever had I could done a better job myself . Onions was not even cooked . whole garlics cloves in my curry like could you not be ask to cut them to make it worst the garlic was raw. Tasteless waste of money your a big no to me

The best way to sum it up would be onion mush in a tub, it looked that bad it went straight in the bin.

Excellent food, the Pasanda was amazing, great service as well just before the 2nd lockdown. My only gripe was that the toilets could be a little cleaner, other than that, we will be back again for dine in and takeaway!

Ordered a takeaway at 6.45pm for a birthday celebration still hadn't arrived at 8.15pm rang 21 times eventually got through by this time it was 9.05 over 2 hours late! Whoever answered the phone said they had delivered to another house but they hadn't rang the number given to check??? Will never use them again no apologies nothing from them in future I will stick to the best.. the Agrah

Excellent well organised & safe precautions. Had poppadums & chutneys, CHICKEN medium curry,& chicken BENGAL 2 different rices & nan bread ,plenty of it & lovely it really fault the food, my wife & I could only find fault with the chutneys in jars with life they seemed to be very sticky, also noticing other diners using the tea spoons from chutney straight to mouth back in to chutney then some one using the same spoon. would advise restaurant to use something else not hygenic. Otherwise superb

I Ordered a takeaway tonight,chicken tikka masala, pilaw rice and a garlic nan bread. The rice and the nan were fine but the tikka masala was bland and tasteless,lots bright red sauce, not a lot of chicken and it was so sweet that I struggled to eat it, the only thing I could taste was coconut, no spices. It was disappointing half of it ended up in the bin.Delivery arrived on time.I have had deliveries and eaten in the restaurant before and been happy with the standard and service. this is not a dish I would choose again.

Hi I just want to let you know that I’m really disappointed with my delivery tonight! We always order with you and when I rang to order a delivery I asked how long the delivery would be before I placed the order. I know these times are unprecedented and deliveries are in high demand which is why I asked how long the delivery would be. I was told 1 hour 10 mins which I thought was reasonable but after waiting 2 hours I was getting inpatient! But my husband said to give you the benefit of the doubt because of these times, which I agreed to. However when it came 2 and a half hours later it was cold! We literally had to put in in the microwave to reheat. Please in future can you be honest and say how long the actual delivery will be and please let it be hot when delivered! Thank you stay safe

Eastern Delights is a absolute gem among the many curry houses of Cleethorpes. The various curry dishes we ordered were flavourful, and a good amount in each dish. The poppadoms were fresh and crisp and pickle tray was varied in flavours. We also had keema naan and plain which were also fresh and soft. The staff are a credit to the establishment.

Lovely takeaway, superb garlic and coriander nans, very tasty mains only downside was my main was more sauce and not much meat but what I did have was very tasty

Ordered a take away for valentines day. Forgot our nann bread, when phoned up they was not interested. Ordered a chicken biriyani but was sent a king prawn one. Just an all round disappointment when its normally lovely.

A beautifully refurbished restaurant in the very heart of Cleethorpes.Dishes are typically Indian with the chicken dishes and lamb preparations were outstanding. Presence of the owner, the young crew with the Bollywood posters are colourful indeed bringing back some pleasant memories from my school days in India. And don’t forget the Persian Biryani. Eat the pappadum towards the end. That’s what the Indians do!!

My wife and I have just visited Eastern Delights. Cannot fault the Curry. My wife had a madras hot keema which she said was just right for heat, flavour and consistency. I had a chicken rogan josh which was also pretty good. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and first class service from the attentive staff.

Has been quite a while since our last visit, but still as good as ever (next visit needs to be much sooner !). All the food was so so tasty, the helpings generous, waiters friendly and efficient, all at a very reasonable price. One of the best curry houses in the town.

Visited on a quiet bank holiday, staff courteous and food excellent as always! My husband and I both ordered the mixed tandoori dish and the meat was flavoursome, lots of onions and plenty of it!

Haven’t been for a while and was pleased we did , The mega mix Tandoori is excellent , so much food and cooked how I asked , we had a sauce with it also and rice , we also received a sample dish to try , no issues with service , service was very good and the food excellent, the only thing I would say is it needs a good clean , I was sat next to a radiator that was dirty and it needed a good hoover, other than that is was the best Indian food we had , had in a long while , we will return

Spent a fabulous Saturday evening here as my birthday celebration. Food was, as always, brilliantly amazing, hot and delicious. We all have different curry strength choices varying from korma to passanda, madras and hotter. None of us were dissatisfied with any part of our meals. Definitely a place we love and return again and again.

Ordered for the second time in 1 month for takeout. Ordered at 6.30pm still waiting for food at 8.20 wouldn’t recommend or order on a wkd. When contacting the restaurant they say it’s on its way both times. 10-15 minutes later food still not arrived. Wouldn’t order again.

High standard of spiced dishes as always. This is one place where the quantity has gone up without a great rise in prices. Order individual dishes if you like but order few dishes and share- it’s not out of order.

I went with a friend on Friday night, the service was flawless, the food was well cooked and very tastey. Great atmosphere. I tend to order curry as a takeaway usually, but will certainly be back in when I can!

I have dined here with my family a few times when we can’t get into our regular restaurant. We are always seated quickly and drink orders taken promptly. Their chicken chaat is really really nice which we all had for our starters. We ordered our mains. I ordered a chicken passanda. I can’t reject the name of the curry my father in law and husband ordered. But they really enjoyed it. I didn’t enjoy my passanda. It to me didn’t resemble one and it wasn’t very tasty. It resembled more of a korma. I know they are similar dishes but I may as well had ordered a korma. I had been looking forward to it all day so I was disappointed. Next time I think we will just remember to book a table at our regular restaurant.

My husband and I ate at Eastern Delights last night. It was very busy but the service was friendly and efficient. Great food - we mostly go for the same menu when eating at an Indian restaurant - lamb tikka, veg curry, sag bhaji, chana bhaji with breads, chutneys and rice. It was hot, very tasty, good size portions, and my husband said it was the best lamb tikka he'd ever had! With two large glasses of wine and a Cobra, less than £40.

A most delicious meal, everything was presented very nicely and the food and service was top quality.

The food was good, but no better than any of the other Indian restaurants in the area but the prices, overall were about 10-20% higher than its rivals. That, and the poor service maybe why this place had just eight customers on a night when other places were busy

We arrived at Fitties and couldn't be bothered to cook. I desperation we turned to the handful of flyers left in our chalet by previous visitors. There was only one curry menu so we ordered a take away delivery. Earlier than expected the food arrived, everything we ordered arrived, still hot (3 miles away), all plates finished off, delicious and downed with our complimentary bottle of chilled wine. What's not to like about this place. First time we've used it. Maybe sit in next time.

Tonights madras was like water AGAIN. It's been going off for a while That's the last time I go there

I have intermittently used Eastern Delight for years and never had a bad meal yet. Went last night with my brother and we really wanted to have a good chat and the staff were great. We ordered a pickle tray and chatted until we were ready to order mains and felt no pressure what so ever. Service was attentive when we needed it. The food was great and good value for money.

Visited last night, the food was good, place was full. Didn't manage to eat all food so asked for doggy bag and they mixed ALL the food into 2 containers, I couldn't eat mine as it was mixed with my partner's super hot curry. My naan bread was folded to fit inside take away container, on top of partner's super hot curry. Not happy

We’ve tried them all but these are by far the best Indian restaurant in Cleethorpes. Staff are pleasant, service is quick and food is outstanding. Would highly recommend any time

I have been using Eastern Delights as my local preferred indian takeaway for some time. The service from the staff is always very welcoming and the speed of service is always very efficient.

This used to be our favourite Indian in Cleethorpes...we were so disappointed when it was taken over and have since read the reviews online etc...but we decided to give it another go and I'm so pleased we did. The restaurant was noticeably quieter than previous visits but I have to say the food didn't disappoint.

This has knocked my number one Indian meal off of the top spot.

Service was good, food was quick enough out and me being a little awkward wanted a starter for my main as wasn't that hungry and they bring it all out correct. My boyfriends starter chicken tikka was beautiful I did try a piece lol!!! Big portions only negative comment was the coke was not proper coke it was a cheaper version!!

We visited here with friends two weeks ago. We had Poppadoms to start with and then waited over an hour for our main course to turn up. When asked at the end if everything was okay, we said no because the wait was far too long and the person taking our money just shrugged his shoulders! Stupidly we gave them a second chance and went back the other night on our way to the cinema.... again over an hour wait for main meal and people that turned up later than us got theirs first much to the disgust of another couple who had also waited. We ended up being too late to go to cinema. Again when mentioned we got no apology, just a shrug of shoulders.

This is a place we regularly used to visit but it has been some months since our last trip.

Good day out at Cleethorpes finished off with a very good take away meal from Easterns Delight, we would have eaten in but did not have time, we had a drink next door and watched Premier League Football.

Came here first time a month ago with a friend, I was so impressed I bought the family for a treat and they loved it too.

on recent visits this place has been great .... pity that bank holiday let it down . food was cold ... set menu took 40 minutes between courses ... the staff could do with a good scrub and the uniforms could do with a wash . very poor and shabby after some previous good experiences .... will not be eating here again

We came here last night 5/8/17. We were here for a friends birthday celebration as a table of 4. We were served quickly with 2 pints of beer for me and my other half which was warm? Save to say I didn't order another. Had started and main course, which wasn't too bad really. The service... well one lady serves us the drinks and actually never said a word. She didn't tell us which was which. She then just walked off. When ordering a gent didn't even write the starter order down he just went to tell the kitchen what we were having. Then came back a few minutes later and took our main order. By this point we were confused. The toilets had no hand soap at all... makes me wonder how the cooks wash there hands correctly if they can't even put hand wash in the toilet. Lucky for us we had hand sanitiser in a friends hand bag. The toilets were filthy. Cobwebs everywhere and just needed a very good deep clean. Would I come back?.... not in a hurry.

Greeted by rubbish music (jazz !!!) waiters were all new ( bar 1) really slow service and the whole place had no atmosphere, loads walking up and down but no action !!

We hadn't visited for some time and it has now obviously changed hands since the last time we enjoyed a meal there. We found the staff to be ignorant and unhelpful and we had to ask for cutlery and serviette which was a surprise. The food was very poor. The onion Baghi was very poor and the mint sauce was terrible. Our drinks where warm and one of the main courses we just could not eat, it was awful. We complained but nothing happened so we shared the one dish that we could eat. They did not even reduce the price of the dish we didn't eat. A very poor experience and we will not be going again which is a shame because we enjoyed many meals there before it changed hands but these owners have no idea.

Food was ok, but the service was appalling. Well over an hour before the starters arrived. Had to ask twice for drinks. Restaurant wasn't full, seemed to be concentrating on getting the takeaway orders out.

Booked a table for 12 weeks in advance so expected a lot better service than we received , waited at least an hour before before we even seen any food and when we did was wrong orders and half of the table eating at different times . Quality of the food left a lot to the imagination Very poor quality and most of it left .Even looked very un appetizing .Still they were very quick to to give us a Bill of £300..One star because i have to but don't deserve that

I visited on a very hot evening in June. We ordered the set meal for two with starters including popadoms and main course. The shish kebab was very tasty and set us up nicely for the mains. We had Chicken Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala, added to by saag aloo. The food was really excellent, the dishes great in their own right but also the combination of tastes was just right. The only issue I had was the drinks, the lager was not cool and that is the only reason I didn't give the five stars the food deserved. When I added up what drinks we had versus the menu price they also seemed to over charge £1.80 on the drinks part, it could have been an error or for the glass of tap water we asked for. I didn't argue over that because the food was great but their lager needed to be cold.

We had the same meal a few months ago and it was nice then.I know my Currys and sorry u lost another customer I wo t come back when I can do better myself. I go out for better food than I can cook.

After using this place regularly For a long time I'm sorry to say that I won't ever be using it again. Normally sit in with my partner but as she's at work I decided to get a delivery. Ordered a can of coke with it which after the driver had left I realised was not there. I rang to tell them and they said someone would be straight round...when he turned up he had a different drink in hand to what I'd ordered! So ate my food with nothing to wash it down (and no offer of a refund for the drink I'd payed for!). The quality of the food which used to be great until the past year or so was only average at best...5 small chunks of chicken for nearly £7 isn't good enough, and was only Luke warm when it got here. Be using the Agrah in future!

Enjoyed another great evening here. Food and service is consistently good...Great selection of food on the menuWe've also had many a take out from here which is the same high standard.

Havn"t been for quite a long time, change the décor (for the good) the boss ws there so service was good,the four of us had different meals all came hot and good portions with the madras curry on the hot! side a pleasant evening will come back again.

Ordered a meal for me and my wife. Both meals were just warm, both meals were just "average". Mine was meant to be spicy or hot and it wasn't? My wife was disappointed in hers too? No real flavour.Shall not be using them again, too many good Indian restaurants to put up with this.

We placed an order for food at this establishment at 7.20pm, the wait for delivery was 1 hour. At 8.40 I called to see where our food was to be told it was with the delivery driver and would be with us in minutes! It was yes 30 more minutes. I called again at 9pm to be insulted by the manager. I asked to cancel the meal but was told i couldn't and just pay less than my bill. I explained I didn't want money off just my food. He didn't let me explain and was patronising at best. The meal arrived cold! I still put it onto a plate despite this. The final straw was the naan bread was missing. I called the restaurant for a 4th time to be told the manager had left, I called his mobile he did offer to prepare me the meal again but I didn't wish to wait till half 11 for a replacement. The driver brought my money back and I had to scrape the cold food into a bag because after all the hassle they even wanted the substandard food back. Please do not waste your time or money at this place. I certainly will never make the same mistake again

Staying in Grimsby for work which is very grim, and needing to find a restaurant we ended up here. I wasn't expecting much, it looks like a typical Indian curry house. However inside it is pleasant enough, and clean and tidy. Usual Indian fare on the menu with plenty of choice. Service was prompt and courteous. We opted for a veggie set meal for two. While not being outstanding, the food was very nice and tasty with large portions. So while not being memorable, we enjoyed our visit and would go again.

We decided to visit with my sister and her husband and parents not a good choice too cramped to noisy for starters once your in your chair your in it waiters /waitress not knowing what the others doing drinks arrived after a bit of confusion rushed to order food starters came popadoms a soup and prawn cocktail not to bad you can't go wrong with a popadoms mains my sister was not the meal she ordered sent it back bought another but no fresh rice so was cold this was one was not cooked never ate it also a full tray of drinks was dropped and went everywhere all over my brothers -law jacket any way not much more to say at this point won't be returning !!

My partner and I visited the restaurant for a meal, the service and time we waited for our order was diabolical, the restaurant manger had no idea of how to run the business and didn't care that ourselves and several customers both in the restaurant and on the phone made complaints about the time and service they received. The food was very good when it finally arrived and the waiting staff where great, but this is not enough to make us return or recommend the restaurant to family or friends

I've visited here many times however will not be returning the service is disgusting and the manager is rude and far from ideal in fact rude and far from the point 2.5 hours to get our mains and the restaurant was not even full. A place to avoid with great caution. It's a real shame as the setting is perfect.

Was looking forward to a nice Indian meal after to reviews on here.Ordered a takeaway but they never turned up.We were absolutely starving and they never had the decency to phone us and tell us why.My 13 year old son was gutted,hope this restaurant goes bust.Had to leave 1 star what a joke.
