The food was amazing. Fresh flavours all around. We were looking for a different place and we found it. Aubergine & potato flatbread was amazing! Try also tomato with grilled feta!!

A week later I am still thinking about this food, specifically the cheesy chips. Absolutely delicious! The oat milk cappuccino was also good and served in pretty mugs which always makes the difference to me when exploring a new place and trying new food/drinks. The waitresses and staff were so sweet and accommodating. We arrived before lunch was served so settled with a drink until 12 and the waitress remembered us and took our order bang on midday. It's the little things that make a difference!

Expensive coffee with a long wait, no saucer, just cup, no spoon or sugar etc. No biscuit? £3:60 a cup. Not great, considering a pretty upmarket establishment. You would get better in mcdonalds

Loved the food. Had tapas/small plates. Great. Toilets let it down though as they were grubby. Not a good advertisement especially for tourists

An amazing find, tucked out of the way in the harbour with seating inside and out. The staff were very friendly and service efficient. I had maple and apple cake and a coffee, both delicious. I'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner, as the menus change daily based on local and seasonal availability. Plus another customer told me the chocolate brownie was the best he'd every had, so I'll have to go back to see if he's right!!

We had such a fantastic evening here after visiting Watchet for the day! We came for the live music and bbq evening and enjoyed a mezze platter- the food was really good quality, lovely flavours. Cake and hot chocolates also delicious. Particularly impressed by the commitment to accessibility and neurodiversity- there was signage saying something like: ‘Let us know if you need ear defenders or a large print menu.’ It had a lovely family feel with a stone painting workshop for families earlier in the day- cushions remained out for the first part of the evening so the children could have a good view of the musicians. Sparkling tap water was free, as was kids squash. As a big fan of soda streaming, it’s the first time I have seen that offered at a venue. I wish more places could be inspired by these simple gestures of humanity! What a great place, I hope you continue to thrive.

Beautiful setting; a quintessential English garden. We have visited Kitnors over the past few years whilst holidaying in Devon but our last visit was very disappointing. Ordered cheese on toast and cheese scones. Thin sliced loaf with thinly processed cheese. Scones were tiny with thinly sliced processed cheese. Small portions of chutney. All served on small tea plates. We’ve always promoted Kitnors to others but sadly not anymore. Staff were friendly but food was poor.

I reviewed the White Horse on the 18 April 24 when it re-opened after a period of failure. It was wonderful then just to have the pub open for drinks but now Lisa and Tim have a limited menu serving meals from Thursdays to Saturdays evenings and Sunday lunches. Some friends dropped into stay the other night and treated us to a Sunday lunch at the pub, the first since re-opening, which was not just good but exceptional. The beef was first rate with five vegetables beautifully cooked. The place was booked out and all by locals enjoying great hospitality filling the room with animated conversation. We shall be going again as soon as we can! On Mondays our 1759 Guinness Club is now able to regain our home in Stogumber’s White Horse. Last night we met to enjoy Irelands greatest stout and gained a fair few members. Word is spreading!

First and foremost the waiting staff and kitchen staff are a credit to the company. I cannot fault them at all. They were polite and helpful, the food was outstanding. If you requested anything they were happy to help. Every single guest commented on they portion sizes being generous and the food quality being amazing. We had an intimate wedding reception with a weekend stay. There were no pre warnings to other guests that a wedding was being held, no signage from the hotel. We felt quite uncomfortable with the disapproving looks some of the guests gave us. No special greeting for the bride/groom. Our bridal suite wasn't dressed for a wedding, there was no nice special touches, the bridal vanity station could do with updating or at least a bigger mirror and more comfortable chair. the manager who met with us was quite rude and very rough while handling my home made wedding cake, I heard after the fact that the cake had been damaged and had to be repaired by the groom. Communication lacked throughout the booking process, things we were offered and asked for weren't present on the day. It's an extremely lovely hotel, perfect for a standard weekend away. Bathrooms could do with updating they felt quite cheap. Floorboards are extremely loud but it does make it feel more rustic. i wouldnt recommend it to people for a wedding unless they privately hire their own wedding coordinator for their big day. The location and food really were amazing if it wasn't for that and the waiting staff my review would have been 2 stars. Management needs to shake up a bit, of the 3 managers we met 2 were rude.
