Just another generic Asian restaurant in Belfast, I feel it's way over-hyped for the food that I had, Macau on the Ormeau is much better and more authentic IMO

I came on a Friday for lunch the waiter who had a lovely personality and was smiling sat me at a table which had a lovely view I then picked out what I wanted to eat, another waiter came to take my order, he was also was smiling and was very happy, I ordered my food and waited and a short time later my food came out which was steak dumplings they came out in a traditional steamer and a dipping sauce, the dumplings were filled with sauce and steak bits, best food I have ever had in my life, if you don’t know if you should go, just go and experience the best time of your life. Lots of variety, everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is geared towards an instagram/tiktok crowd. The food looks the part but it really lacked flavour in pretty much everything we ordered. We started off with 4 dishes with the intention of ordering more but when we tasted everything, we bailed. There are so many better places in Belfast for quality food - zen is a similar menu but much better in flavour. Wouldn’t return I’m afraid. Ps. What’s with the weird photographer?

Good quality. Portions are not big, but filling. The price seemed more convenient on the paper, but still ok.

Absolutely amazing. I’m obsessed with all things dumplings, and these are easily the best I’ve ever had (I’ve tried them in Australia and USA). Lovely place to sit in and eat, staff were super friendly and the food was well worth the price. Would definitely go back. The sweet and sour pork strips, along with the pork dumplings (pictured), were AMAZING.

Decided to attend the dumpling library to get the six course tasting menu. We were really excited to try dumpling library after hearing good reviews from friends and family. It’s safe to say we were let down. The service was top tier from some staff, however some staff clearly did not want to be there. We had to ask on three separate occasions for chop sticks, which we did not receive until our third course. The food was lacking substance and flavour. Even salt and pepper would have been appreciated. Bland bland bland. The beef was as chewy as an old boot. They served what tasted like shredded wheat with a slither of chicken hidden amongst it. To top it all off, we reviewed the menu on the way home to realise they completely missed our first course out. Avoid, go to your local take away.

Visited here during my stay in Belfast and absolutely loved it!! The food was incredible, we all ordered a variety of dishes and we loved all of them! We got the deal which came with a few sides and a cocktail, it was plenty of food and the cocktail was delicious. The staff were really friendly and great ambience in there! There is so much choice on the menu and great vegetarian options too - I thoroughly recommend this place!

Having been at this restaurant on our previous trip to Belfast and really enjoyed it, we had to revisit. We weren't disappointed. Busy Sunday lunchtime but service was still friendly and efficient. We had a selection of small plates, all of which were tasty. Particular praise must go to the Bao Buns and the pork ribs - both were excellent.

It is a lovely spot, modern and always busy . Staff members constantly checking is everything OK or if we need more drinks etc. Food is tasty too, good choice of cocktails . Definitely must visit place in Belfast.

Food was deep fried and rubbery. It resembled food that had been plated up earlier and reheated. We were hoping for a fresh variety of flavours. Sadly we were not happy. We left and went and got a bowl of soup to warm us up . Not for us sorry

This place has dropped its standards massively, since I last visited in 2022. The spinach wontons summed it up: barely a trace of any filling in them at all. The crab salad consisted of mostly batter with only a tiny shred of crab meat. It’s as though the owners want to maximise profit at the expense of quality. It was sad because I was really looking forward to visiting again. I definitely won’t be going back. There are plenty of alternative places to eat in Belfast which are really good.

They told us we could have the table for an hour. Which was no problem. But then they take your order but they forget about you and leave you sitting and you don't get your food till 55mins later. Won't be back.

Had a great meal here the other night. Attentive (but not intrusive) service, great food, nice cocktails. Particularly nice that the waiter alerted us to their deal where we could order an extra dish and side between two of us for less.

An absolute must if you are in Belfast. Excellent food. We were spoilt for choic as the menu is quite extensive. All food is cooked fresh and is delicious. Service is excellent. We could do with a Dumpling Library in Hertfordshire.

The service is good but a tiny bit slow for drinks - although they were super busy. Really like the food and the variety on the menu - there are so many options, it's difficult to decide! Our favourites were the takoyaki, seabass and aubergine. We shared the char siu bao which was delicious too. I personally didn't think the steamed dumplings were amazing but no big deal, there are so many options.

Very attentive and nice staff. Food was overall very good. Some REALLY nice things and some that were pretty nice. Lovely decor, music was a bit too loud. Cocktails were very generous and yummy.

Ordered the seafood tapas dish, was shocked when I started eating it and found most of the dish was tofu! Not even listed on the menu. Spoke with the team member who served us and was told that they cannot write everything on the menu…… Soyabean (tofu) is one of the 14 allergens!! I was horrified by the response I received .

A really dire experience from customer service…. Overcharged us for the two drinks (which should have been included in the offer). These were taken off the bill without any apology. When they came back with the revised bill they asked us to leave immediately and asked if we could ‘leave now, as quickly as possible, we have another table’, even though we were only 1hr into a 2hr reservation and we hadn’t finished our drinks. Yikes. All the food was deeply fried. It wasn’t inedible, but I wouldn’t recommend it with the really awful service.

Service was incredibly confusing, waitresses consistently bringing the dishes to the wrong side of the table. We were excited to catch up and share some plates, but it turns out the experience was pretty stressful and people got the wrong things even if they double-checked with the waitress if it’s the right item. Some people got an explanation for what the rainbow dumplings are, some didn’t, drinks were quietly put in front of the wrong person and so on. Just overall very inconsistent and not what we expected for the evening. Food was nice, but not nice enough to make it worth going again. The restaurant is extremely loud, if you struggle with super loud environments or want to catch up it’s not the place for it.

Fantastic spot for a tasty meal, we got 5 small dumpling portions and one portion of duck fried rice between us. Great service and 5 star food.

Went for the £16.95 business set menu lunch not including the £3 or £4 supplement so technically it's not £16.95 as advertised. Overall the food was nice, service was exceptional and would definitely go back and try other extensive dishes. As it was just two of us it also boldly states no service charge on the bill so that's a bonus.

Food was amazing! Ordered the wanton soup noodles, xiao long bao, and rainbow dumplings (fried). All dishes were so yummy and flavoursome. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Would definitely come back!

A bowel of chicken came out on its own 10/15 mins later rice came out etc as I had to ask could our meal come out together if not looking at other tables food come out in drops and drabs. Was charged for a bottle of water at £4.55 did not request this. When bill came the waiter argued that we had to pay for the water. Had to call waiting staff over 2 / 3 times to to clean the table and get the bill etc. Waiting staff was suprise when I asked for service charge to be removed Overall poor service. I don't mind paying for a good meal but completely over charged for what I have had better food out of a Chinese carryout. Bill attached

Very good food. Service is amazing. Cocktails are really good as well. Highly recommend the Alice in wonderland. Dumplings and baos you can’t go wrong with whatever you order.

Great food and a wide selection of dishes. I had the char Siu pork baos, the Korean seafood tapas, and the pork and prawn Xiao Long Bao. As well as the orange chocolate torte for desert. Everything was excellent and so delicious. The staff were super nice and the restaurant is beautiful, and was well decorated for Christmas. The music was a tad loud at times though.

Our first time here tonight, just wish I had tried here sooner! Exceptional service, food and cocktails to die for! We will be back! Asap! The rainbow assortment of dumplings were outstanding, the green vegetable (spinach?) dumpling was our favourite. 11/10 all around, you should be so proud of your beautiful restaurant, One of Belfast's newest best.

Had dinner last night, and were lucky to be given a pod, everything staff , food & service was 100%

We did the mix n match for 33 pounds. We'll worth it for 3 dishes, a side and a cocktail. Food was amazing, they've got the Pan Asian fusion concept down exceptionally well. Recommend the takoyaki and the crisp duck pancake. Servers were also extremely polite and professional. Definitely ask for the pod tables outside if available, its a good experience and feels like private dining.

A lot of my younger life I was Living in Hollywood, California and working in Beverly Hills as a Registered Nurse. I have gone out to eat regularly in Little Tokyo, Korea-Town and China-Town and was so happy now living in Northern Ireland to find the Dumpling Library! Nick made our evening, we were served by Nick and he was the best waiter we’ve all ever had. Attention to detail was 2nd to none and he was brilliant. Food was fabulous too, would defo recommend and ask for Nick!

Booked a table for 5 for a few work friends. Seated in one of the pod things at the front so no worry about being too loud. Good gluten free menu. Servers could have explained portion sizes a bit better as we didn't have a clue. Food was good and something different. Only weird or annoying bit was that food just arrived randomly at different times. 1 got starters and main at the same time. I got 1 starter then nothing til most had finished. Definitely would go again.

I have eaten here twice now. The first visit was fantastic; good food, great service and good, if a little too loud, atmosphere. Originally I would've given this place 4 stars. However, on my second visit I had an undercooked pork dumpling served to me. The manager was very dismissive of this issue. Even though I had pointed out that it was pink and that pork, like chicken, should be fully cooked. I was rather shocked and disappointed by this reaction to something that is potentially a health risk to me. I doubt I'll be eating here again, unfortunately.

Had an excellent lunch here with a group of 4. Very nice restaurant and friendly staff. Excellent lunch offers and options for food. Would highly recommend for sharing options if wanted to try multiple items but also have larger dish options also. Very good value as well.

I have now visited the dumpling library a couple of times, Most recently we went and not only did we get overcharged for things we did not order but an hour after leaving the restaurant I was hit with the most horrendous food poisoning I’ve experienced. I had never dealt with this before from here but this time I did order different food which was the crispy duck pancakes and breaded chicken. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be a returning customer anymore

I order a curry but wait for 50 minutes without any explanation. Just ask me to wait and wait. Finally when it comes, the onions inside the curry sauce is very raw.

Really enjoyed, the menu is quite extensive, as lots of choices. We reserved a pod, of which has its own heater and privacy. The dinning experience was something different, but most enjoyable. Something to try if you are adventurous.

Overall I had a good experience, but I wish staff knew menu better and could help me navigate the wine menu. And also ordering squid I didn’t expect to get frozen ready to cook breaded squid rings.

I've been here multiple times now and always look forward to trying something new. The service and food has always been top class. I have tried so many items on the menu and still haven't found something I don't like. The most important thing is the costumer service. The staff here are so passionate about their work and are always professional and kind. On my last visit, I had gotten soaked in the rain after walking around the shops. The waitress noticed I was carrying a paper bag which was not holding up very well. After seating us, she returned after a few mins with a folded up plastic bag and explained it was for my belongings. I couldn't get over how kind this was, it really made my visit extra special and confirmed why I keep returning to the same place!

Food: Surprisingly good given this is a fusion, pan-Asian restaurant that is so adapt to the local dinning culture (styles of ordering, portioning, overall atmosphere, the drinks menu etc.). The Thai fish cake, marinated pork ribs, Korean cold noodles are all quite good. I did not mind if they are pre-made. Service & Atmosphere: Very fast services if you want it to be, which is the case for us. But I noticed other people who took their time to enjoy their food and range of drinks. I imagine this to be a good place for date nights and casual meet-ups, especially for the cute tapas style of ordering.

Really enjoyable dining experience. I went with a group of 5 girls and we were seated in the pods out front which was very unique. We each ordered as part of the menu which includes a cocktail. I ordered the soup dumplings, the ribs and the kimchi spring rolls with egg fried rice. Everything was absolutely delicious! My friends ordered the rainbow dumplings, duck samosa, duck bao, japanese chicken skewers, salt & chilli chips and friend noodles. They were all great too, especially the rainbow dumplings and duck samosa. Safe to say we were all so full by the end of the meal! The service was good, but a little slow at times as we weren't in the main restaurant. We would definitely return as it was a fantastic meal overall.

Hard to know how to rate Dumpling Library, the food and staff are 5/5 which is the most important thing. You are often placed very close to other tables though and the prices can get out of hand quickly. Still, I’d go back without a doubt.

Two of us had the offer of 3 mains, 1 side and 1 cocktail. We had the rainbow dumplings steamed, crab salad, crispy wontons, sweet chilli chicken bao bun, sweet crispy pork, Taiwanese chicken, katsu curry, fried rice and chips. We also got three cocktails all absolutely beautiful. The food was outstanding, probably wouldn't order the crab salad again but the rest was absolutely perfect and so filling! Can't wait to come back.

Delicious food! Big surprise, I’d definitely recommend. The Bao Buns and the Dumplings were our favourite!

Food was really tasty but whenever We asked the server any questions Regards menu etc the respond we’d hear was „I don’t know” I feel like if you’re working with customer service you should have some training and if you don’t know how to answer to question regards the taste of specific stuff on menu you should go by what you heard other clients said or try some of it so you can make recommendations especially if someone is there for the 1st time

As I’m a coeliac when I heard they offered gluten free food I was super excited. This was until I found the tiny section of gluten free food which consists of basic dumplings and noodles. It is very disappointing but I went anyways hoping the small selection would be good anyways but when the food arrived it was very bland and boring, I didn’t finish it and with the expensive prices I expected more.

Amazing dumpling,awesome unagi bun bao and super delicious wonton soup and do not forget to try dessert on the day as strawberry cheese cake we love so much. We can call fine dinning with reasonable prices . We came back twice and they regonized us :) High recommend this restaurant.

Staff lovely , had chilli chicken boa bun lovely , beef brisket was average , dumplings ok , edamame beans ok . Overall the food was average but reasonable price .

Sunday, lunchtime, 6 adults. 2 mains and 1 side each shared dishes in couples. First visit for me. Very tasty indeed.

Soup dumplings were great as were the filet steamed dumplings. Their chili oil is to die for!

It’s clearly very good as it just always seems busy. For me, it was good. Just good. Everything was nice, the service was okay and the food was grand. It didn’t jump out and make me love it so while I enjoyed it all, I wouldn’t rush back.

Terrible service at the restaurant, they forced us to pay a service charge despite it being discretionary on the menu. The food was cold, and unflavoured, a very disappointing experience.

Service was fine. The atmosphere was decent. Very surprised to see such a high number of low levelled reviews as our party of 3 loved it. The drinks were just fine but the food was fantastic. Definitely worth a try.
