Another little gem. This community pup seems to exemplify how a community managed pub should be run. Immediately welcoming on a busy night (we booked a table), the bustling bar offered a great selection of beers wines and spirits, including my old favourite Marstons Pedegree. Table service was prompt and very friendly. Local regulars keen to welcome us, easy to talk to. We had steak and ale pie and pan-fried pork with noodles. Both beautiful and very generous. Pudding was treacle sponge and chocolate brownies. Sponge was velvety and buttery with a delicious treacle and butter sauce. Really lovely time and will come again. Highly recommend for a great night out in a traditional British pub. I am a wheelchair user but went on crutches. There are steps at the entry but a ramp is available making it accessible throughout. I have no doubt that help would be forthcoming in spades if you needed it.

A very friendly community run pub, we stopped by on a Saturday evening and they fitted us in with no notice despite being busy. The food was excellent, very reasonably priced and friendly staff. I only wish we lived nearer. It makes me wonder why larger brewery owned pubs can't achieve quality and price like this. Excellent 👌

My first time in Lincoln with my husband for a overnight get away. Lovely hotel, lovely area and building. Bar was very busy as expected on a Saturday night but my husband was ignored a few times while waiting to check in at the bar. Bed was incredible. Room was clean and the cafeteria was the best facilities I’ve seen in a hotel- special little touch. Next morning looking forward to a lovely full English breakfast (that if not staying in the hotel would cost £9) it is served between 7:30-10:30am and in a nutshell I would hope that service is the same at whatever time you sit down in that period. However at 10am, you could tell we were getting the bits of what was left. Having to ask for clean coffee cups, things missing from the plate had to be brought out. We had seen other plates with racks of toast and plentiful plates and we were served whatever beans were left in the pan. Our table asked for some white toast but unfortunately there was none left, not a massive issue but enough to disappoint members of our party who had been to the hotel before and were disappointed it wasn’t to the standard they had before. I got the impression that customers walking in seemed to be looked after to a higher standard than their hotel guests.

Oh dear! New kitchen, old habits. When door has a window in it dont leave dirty washing up on the side, dirty full bucket of floor water and dirty empty foil food trays on counters especially when the kitchen has been shut since the night before. I won't be eating there again. What a shame had high hopes that it was going to be better less travelling for me. Ps wouldnt hurt the bloke behind the bar to crack a smile, you know create an ambiance. Oh well back to the Scotchman for me

This place was closed for a while. The town were trying to raise public funds to purchase the building so it wouldn’t be developed. As a result they raised the funds and many volunteers cleaned it up. They are serving drinks and in the process of getting the kitchen ready for food service. To find out more go in for a pint!

We placed an order last night at a cost of £45 having enjoyed the food from here many times before, it didn't taste quite the same this time & my goodness are we paying for it today, we've all got really bad stomachs so I imagine it's a touch of food poisoning. Lesson learned!!!
