Absolute belter of a gaff, I was here a few weeks ago to watch the women's rugby. As a bunch of non-locals we were surprised to be greeted with such warmth, the pool area attached to the side of the building allows smoking and has a huge television and a well-kept pool table. Would move to Twickenham from Sheffield just for this pub!

Always go here pre rugby. Rather pay pub prices than in the ground well that's turned on it's heels. last time for me. No problem with a price hike on match days. But £8.50 for Guinness and £8 for beer. Your pub your prices . Good luck.

Went to the pub on England rugby match days as we had in years gone by. Charging £9.50 a pint for most beers (food prices were also extortionate). No bar tariff to that effect on display which I believe is illegal. Also, spoke to a couple of locals who had only been charged normal cost so they were dual pricing (also illegal), they advised that all beers had been increased by £3 to £4 just for match day. The staff themselves were embarrassed & blaming a recently appointed manager. Beers were actually cheaper in the ground. DO NOT GO THERE & PAY THESE PRICES!!!

I have always used this pub whenever in the area and love it. Groups of us travel down for the rugby regularly. However, just arrived to find a pint of Moretti is £8 in a plastic cup! Was told it was “rugby prices”! Disgrace. Asked why the prices were not being displayed in any of their five bars - “they were ripped down”! All rugby fans should now boycott this place because they are taking us all for mugs. It’s not enough to have a full pub with food being snapped up - greed drives them to squeeze every last penny out of previously loyal customers. Won’t be back but let’s hope trading standards are!

New owners have ploughed a lot of money into getting this pub up-to-date, clean and refreshed and it shows. Little things like clean windows and rid of the ancient noticeboard. Big things like more (bigger/better) TV screens, artificial grass and heaters for one of the undercover bars etc, I could go on but please come and visit for yourself! Locals might bark a bit but don't bite, and the staff are welcoming and friendly 😊

Really trying to rinse the rugby crowd now. Used to come here because it was cheaper than the stadium for a few pints beforehand. Last time I was here it was £8 a pint (in a plastic cup), £1.50 more than the stadium so what's the point? It was £6 less than 6 months ago, so up by 33%. Clearly just trying to take the punters for a ride, no price increases by a third in less than 6 months. Atmosphere is normally good but now just leaves a bad taste in your mouth knowing they are trying to get every last penny out of you.

EVERYONE WAS SMOKING , in the garden and left room. Manager , big bloke, seems OK, but obviously seems very close to regs . The pub has put up it the prices to match the Twickenham Stadium and will provide only 1 plastic cup £6:50 a pint. This pub used to be our stop of point before Twickenham and the beer prices were pretty decent. They are now treating the Twickenham crowd as a cash cow, even posting that you cannot return your cup until 4:30, this was taken down quickly, as I expect people didn’t take kindly to it. Making it difficult to return you cup, milking even more money out of the punters. We visit Twickenham regularly and this will be our last visit to this pub, I’d rather go to the stadium as least you get a clean cup each time.

I ordered a takeaway from here for the first time in a while, and sadly it was a disappointing experience overall. The most positive thing was the prawn toast as these tasted great and were cheaper than other takeaways in the area. They came with a pot of sweet chilli sauce too which was nice. I also ordered salt & pepper ribs which didn’t taste too bad, but there was very little meat on the bones and far more vegetables than ribs in the whole dish overall. The whole experience was completely ruined however when I discovered a long black hair which had been cooked into the special fried rice. This was really disappointing and absolutely puts me off ordering from here again. One other negative was the pot of satay sauce which I ordered as a side that didn’t look or taste like any satay sauce i’ve ever had before and was gloopy and pretty tasteless. Sadly the whole experience felt like a waste of £21.50.
