Great, really fast service. A nice lunch in the sunshine sat looking out to sea.

Proper English breakfast, lovely pot of tea and loved loved loved the beach huts❤️ cash only but I can understand why the way the card companies wreck small businesses! Lovely staff too. Chuffed to find this place ❤️

One of the best cafes in Devon with beautiful views , delicious food and outstanding service and all at really reasonable prices.

Cash only, old non digital till just left open, no financial records being kept, certainly seems rather suspect!!!! Surely HMRC should be crawling over this place. Amazing location on Beer beach, sadly let down by mediocre food, basic service and owners who have a complete arrogance. Points of note, dry bread, not cheap prices for basic food. No customer appreciation. Minimal service. This comes from a local who has visited many times in the past, who vowed to never go back, but a visiting family member wanted to go. Certainly back to the give it a miss category. There are many venues around that do value your custom.

Great breakfast on Sunday morning, food was lovely and hot and freshly cooked, happy staff.

We only had ice creams, tea and coffee here, all really nice. Service was friendly and we did not find it expensive.

Great location and friendly staff. However they only take cash and expensive. 3 crab and 1 sausage sandwich plus 2 soft drinks. £30? No £54…excessive for a beach cafe. Generous filling of crab but dry wholemeal sliced loaf bread. Won’t go again as I don’t like being ripped off!!

Good tasty food served hot and super location at Beer

What a lovely find. We had ploughman's and it was very filling. The bread was fresh and warmed. Tea came with hot water for topping up. The young lads serving couldn't have been more helpful, offering a menu and water bowl for our dog. Five stars for everything

A lovely friendly beach cafe,ideal for breakfast ,teas and coffees etc,friendly service and good food,be very aware ,there are no toilets and it's cash only,so pee at the top of the hill before you walk down the hill,and take CASH ,we will return,in fact we have..

My wife and I have been down to Beer Beach for the last two days. Visited Ducky's for coffees, cakes and sandwiches (plus deck chair's) fab service, fab food. Well impressed 👏 PB

Great place. Had deckchairs . Braised up all the sun. Nice atmosphere. Until 16.39. Locals started to have bbqs. Think the beach should be separated. As not everyone likes the smell or smoked out by bbqs.

A fantastic little place to eat. The food is all made to order. A good menu range. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Other huts serving food on the beach accept cards. Well done! Disappointing in this day and age that Duckies don't accept cards and its cash only. Is there a reason? Three of us turned up for breakfast as the other huts were closed yesterday. Went to the Anchor instead and had a superb breakfast and drinks for three adults and toddler costing £30.00. Well worth it and the convenience of having the option of paying with a card.

Have not been to beer since I was a kid, even though I don't live very far from it, now we are retired the wife & I took a trip there,it was great sat on the beach drinking tea and a piece of cake at Ducky's with the sun shining what more do you want, give them a tryout.

5 star food and service, reasonably priced, very clean

Every time I visit beer for holidays we go to ducky’s for at least 1 breakfast. There’s usually at least 8 of us there and they have relatively quick service for such a big amount of people. Nice food too, I have a breakfast and usually ask for certain things removed from my plate which can be a hassle but they do it perfectly. I would recommend to go for a breakfast if in beer, probably one of the best places to eat there.

We always love to come here. Yheir food is good. Especially the crab sandwich.. It's super! The view is one nicest among south west and there is free parking too. N.B. It's cash only!!!

Politeness is lost when it's tinged with venom. No own flasks. Now, I appreciate that they're running a business but the man could have had more tact in asking me to not consume my own small cup of coffee at their table. He may have said please but was aggressively rude and unfriendly. Despite being with a colleague who had just supported them by purchasing a breakfast sandwich & coffee...

Super friendly cafe, good service and the perfect location! Very happy to recommend it as nice place for an oat milk latte and toasted tea cake. Got chatting to the lady who’d worked there 30+ years and it was interesting to hear how the beach and Beer have changed over the years.

Have been using Ducky's for 40 + years and it's always excellent value for money. Great variety of food on offer and good value for money. But only except 's so go prepared.

Brilliant food, great place on beach and very friendly staff. Unfortunately cash only, which is a problem these days. Proprietor explained they couldn't get a signal, but another establishment further along the beach was offering card and contactless. Don't want to take away from a positive time, but Duckys could do with addressing this.

Excellent cream tea.. scones were fresh and plenty of clotted cream, always a winner. Sat on the beach it was a awesome location too

Lovely location and quick service. Breakfast seemed to be a bit pre-prepared, with hard eggs and tinned tomatoes. Wasn't terrible, though not as nice as some I've had.

We always come here for fresh crab sandwiches, generously filled, lovely beach venue and great service.

Very poor veggie English breakfast, just sausage, eggs and beans, no mushrooms no hash browns no imagination. The toast had been waved at the toaster and the marmalade for the toast cost another 80p on top of the £9 it cost for this disappointment on a plate. The location was splendid hence the 2 stars.

Very expensive crab sandwich. Not worth the money

Pictures here show £8 fish & chips. We paid £11. Wouldn't have minded if it was proper fish straight from the sea (we were in Beer after all, and right by the sea), but it was textureless and obviously not fresh, let alone local. Try the nearest supermarket cheapest option where the fish is no longer flaked and you'll be close. Biggest rip off. I am local and bought my family there for lunch. Lesson learned. Won't be giving them a second try, regardless of location.

What a find. Who thought you could be drinking tea out of bone china on the sea front? The food is served in generous portions, beautifully cooked. The staff are friendly and helpful. While we were there a cheeky gull stole someone's cake from the plate. This was immediately replaced by a member of staff. We hired a beach hut for the day from here also. What value for money that was too. All in all a fabulous asset to Beer. Well done!

Massive hike in prices probably due to Covid makes this place less attractive. £12 for a crab sandwich is too much. Raised from £8 9 mths ago was a big shock. Less visits for us now I'm afraid.

Lovely view, lovely staff, helpful and kind. Ordered a veggie english breakfast.. the tomatoes were'nt the best combo for this dish... Cash only!, nearest toilet and ATM is up hill.

Nice friendly place for a cup of coffee. Cash only...lucky we had enough...there was a big sign, and if you haven't got cash, hey , there are other places nearby that take cards/contactless.

Called into Duck's on my dirt bike with a group of friends what a fantastic find the weather was amazing what a cool cool place the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful the world is full of miserable grumpy people but there was none of this there happy happy place it was a delight to be in the company of Ducky's had a cheese and tomato sandwich and a cup of tea absolute fantastic brilliant place and what a beautiful setting will definitely be visiting there again cheers Vince👍❤️

Beautiful cakes, beautiful setting & beautiful views. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The guy that used to work in Beer Caves who now works there was exceptional. He interacted with my 2 boys & made it feel like it was a family friendly environment. Will definitely be back & will definitely be recommending it to everyone else at our caravan 🚐

Cash only because the owner hasn't worked out how he could run a signal booster from his boundary on the beach (which has a reception). Cash point in town closed at lunchtime. Beautiful setting but backward. Owner pretty quick to run out and move us on when we sat on a bench at the far end of his seating (outside the main seating area) to eat a sandwich in his very empty beach restaurant. No understanding that we has tried to buy his food. So we just left Beer. Which I'm sure doesn't phase him.

Nice burger and sandwich lunch. Loved the delicious Farmer Tom's ice cream and China tea cups.

Great location. Beautiful mug of tea just simple hot tea in a mug. Just what you need after a long windy walk. Cream tea best I've had in Devon this summer. Top staff well run clean and tidy kitchen. Top spot in a beautiful village

Lovely full english, super attentive staff and a view to die for....all that added together gave us the best breakfast we have had in years. Cannot recommend enough.

If you are going for the view and a sandwich in a right by the sea setting this is your spot. Good price value and quick enough. If you are coming for a coffee break than I would look further. Instant coffee was maybe good to serve a couple of years ago. I don't mind coffee from a drip I don't want an espresso everywhere, but keep the nescafe at home. Next time around I will come in for cream tea. Overall lovely place to visit and friendly staff.

Heard good things about the crab sandwiches but opted for the scampi and chips instead. Eaten on the pebble beach with the calls of the gulls and the slap of the waves as backdrop. Just what the Dr ordered.

Great location right on the beach with lots of seating. Coffee was disappointingly instant and not great. From looking at those reading around us, the cooked breakfasts looked proper. As others have mentioned, it's a cash only café.

Delicious fish finger sandwich in a lovely location

Unfortunately l never like to give a negative view, but the breakfast was very below what you would expect, all day breakfast had cold beans, tin tomatoes were cold right through, the scrambled eggs sadly was done in a microwave which left so much water on the breakfast plate, such a shame such lovely setting but This beach cafe needs to up its game to get returning visitors 😕

Don't be fooled by the rather rustic look to this place. The food is incredible - the famous fresh crab sandwiches are to die for - and the service was so very warm and friendly. They're very COVID-aware (without it spoiling the experience), and everything was spotless - I even saw the owner scrubbing table legs! If you're in Beer, avoid the pubs and head to the beach - you'll be thankful you did.

We walked down to beer especially for a cream tea. Duckys had exactly what we needed at a very reasonable price. It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend but the service was still quick and efficient with friendly staff and clean facilities on the beach. The tea was generous with plenty of milk and hot water for several cups. The scones were warm and delicious with plenty of cream and strawberry jam. The sandwiches were fine for the price the husbands had just plain sausage sandwich and bacon and egg sandwich on sliced white. Cheap and cheerful, would definitely revisit.

Always a pleasure to visit, it really is a lesson in how it should be done.......very friendly owners and staff, excellent food, sensible prices, great hygiene, all very efficient and most enjoyable.
