Ducksoup in City of London, Westminster

The restaurant is a non fancy, wooden table affair which is absolutely fine. We had a very cosy table at the back of the restaurant. Wonderful. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. So why only 3 stars? We were shown a board displaying all of the wines and a very knowledgable member of staff asked what we might like and explained very expertly what options might suit, guiding us to his first suggestion at a cost of £90...yes £90!!!!. Bearing in mind this is not a fine dining restaurant I was astounded. But dont worry, the cheapest bottle of red was a mere £45. Again , what the hell is going on here?? Coupled with this, my husband had a large bottle of beer (shared) at a snip at £36. WHAT? A glass of dessert wine a mere £16!! I appreciate costs have risen dramatically lately but this was beyond belief . The food was small and large plates such as braised beetroot or mozzerella with lentils around £14. Large plates eg Red wine risotto £20 or chicken with mushrooms £27. All the dishes were nice and not too expensive in comparison with other restaurants. So yes, for me the absolutely extortionate alcohol pricing means I would definitely not return. Such a shame. If you dont drink alcohol I would say give it a go.

Lovely unique spot in soho for food and wine. Really chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and good quality food. Menu changes frequently and every dish we had was great- we shared 5 small dishes between 2 and was perfect amount. Wine list is extensive! On the pricier side but lovely for a special occasion and worth it for the relaxed vibe

Great intimate setting in the heart of soho - cool cuisine ( get the pickles, bread & deep fried pumpkin) great wine (try the sparkling red). Would ducksoup again. Also sitting at the bar for dinner was really awesome!!

Slightly disappointed by the food - very pricey and nothing that blows you away. We ordered the chargrilled plaice as a ‘large’ plate but it was very small; not much meat / mostly bone. Ambience and service were very good though.

Super nice ambience, lovely waitress, fresh and yummy meal! Lots of nice natural wines. Went here with my family and sat in the bigger table in the back!

Came here as heard about their wine selection. Agree with feedback that this place is on the pricey side, ~£15 per small dish and wine very expensive however high quality. Overall food was tasty however didn’t blow us away. Service was fantastic.

I went with my sister today and we loved it. Friendly small restaurant with lovely staff on Dean St. We had the small plates all excellent especially the leek and mussel fritters and the wine was delicious. We also squeezed in a dessert between us - a choux bun with chocolate and orange marmalade which was like a decadent Jaffa cake! It’s not cheap but we thought fair considering the quality and service.

Buzzing on a Friday night with Prince playing on the turntable. Plenty of little dishes to chose from for a perfect light meal before the theatre. With four waiting staff and a bar tender we were served quickly and efficiently as a walk in couple. Granted the prices are at the higher end... but if you want something not run of the Mill and with a good vibe... well you have to pay for it in Soho.

Very uncomfortable environment and bad service. I had to go without my main meal because the waitress completely forgot my order. My friend ordered the poussin which arrived undercook, Chef claimed it was just blood vessels but the meat was clearly raw and bleeding. The Chef couldn’t even manage to fry doughnuts properly, which also arrived undercook and raw inside. Several of our group had really bad stomachs the next day. I will never eat here again, not even for free!!!

Very uncomfortable - effectively sitting back to back with another person behind me. I requested to sit somewhere else and they said it was the best sitting area in the restaurant but actually by the front door which was opening and closing regularly for the duration we were sat there. The drinks were overpriced even for London central. Overall the food was delicious and the menu was different and original but the dining experience was a real let down. They’re cramming too many people into a small space to maximise revenue but at the expense of the dining experience for the customer.

Very uncomfortable dining experience at the bar. No leg room, hard bar stools. Wine by the glass v expensive (£12.80) for only 125ml. Peasant food v nice, but £22.50 for a main course. Nice vibe (they've obviously nicked a parent's vinyl collection). Good service. They need to find new premises ASAP.

Visited during what can only be described as a rain storm simply added to the romantic quality this jewel of a restaurant holds. It’s small but perfectly formulated. Wine lists are carefully curated, small dishes of food fuse unlikely flavours into unexpected joy, and the service is friendly is the most familiar sense possible. Vinyl records provide the gentle, warm tones to make the occasion even more endearing and valuable. We loved it.

The waiters were very nice and accommodating although it was a busy Friday night. We got so much food and it was all good value. Th eplates are made for sharing and we didn't have to stick to the set menu. The waitress recommended we get 2 large plates 4 small plates between the three of us. It was plenty of food. The green beans were especially nice. The food was good value but I found their wine selection over priced and the fact they only had cocktails or wine. They didn't stock tonic when my friend asked for a gin a tonic...

Our daughter booked this intimate quirky restaurant and checked out their menu as 2 of our daughters are vegan. All their food is locally produced and changes every week. Our waitress Bertie was so friendly and accommodating. They were able to adjust most of the dishes to suit our requirements. There is a great choice of dishes. My favourite was Pappardelle Trombetta Courgette, although it was difficult to choose as all their dishes are delicious. Highly recommend eating there.

We had read reviews which said the portions were small and the food was overpriced and were a bit apprehensive - but we actually found it to be exactly the opposite. If anything some of the portions were too large as we were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal (having ordered one small and one large plate each between 2 of us). The fritters were absolutely delicious as was the gnudi. Some of the food was a bit too oily for our liking (which is saying something as we like rich food) or just altogether not that yummy (the pork and the Bavette) and the service was a bit patchy but it seemed like we were just there on a night where the restaurant was understaffed. The waiters were still very friendly and helpful but just seemed rushed off their feet.

Loved the fried romanesco and the lamb, the natural wine was lovely and interesting (we thought we didn’t like natural wine, turns out we love it!) - nice and chatty staff, one of our favourite spots in soho

Myself and mate went for dinner in the week. Excellent food, great atmosphere and fantastic wine. We’d recommend you stop by.

Cold mushrooms and lackluster service. The food in genuinely not good. Don’t waste your money. So many good food places in London.

I unfortunately had to cancel a booking here for a friend’s birthday which is on Valentine’s Day . I had been warned about a 20£ cancellation fee which I understood. Unfortunately, it turned out it was a 20pp fee and I had to pay 140£ for a meal I didn’t have. When I called to ask about any kind of refund I was rudely told there was no chance as they hadn’t been able to fill our table..on a Friday night in soho... on Valentine’s Day. I appreciate I made a mistake but I was disappointed by the rude and unemphathetic response. Lesson is always read the T&Cs!

My friends and I were looking for something different for a lunchtime get together when Duck Soup came up. The menu looked enticing. Sadly it didn't live up to the promise. You are told these are sharing plates but how can that be when there is very little food on the plate - only a couple of anorexic fashion models would consider this adequate. As for the flavours, the food is under seasoned, beige and bland. Definitely NOT worth the price. Don't get me started on the wine list.

Had a great time here last night, turning up and squeezing in on valentine's night when a booking didn't show.Lovely intimate atmosphere sitting at the bar.Really delicious food - my favourite being the turnips with crab, mint and pink pepper.Very friendly service.Marvin Gaye on vinyl.I'm so glad we ended up in here and hope to return.

Great little place to discover, looks nothing from the outside but go through the door and you are welcomed by friendly staff, this is a must place to come, but book as very small.The food is stunning, loved the flavours and the smells from the kitchen are devinego enjoy you will love

Not a good dining experience .. there are so many better restaurants in London do not waste your money ... it’s not cheap ,weird food , service dreadful ,and it’s grubby ! Sorry ..the chefs all look like need a good wash !

Nos recibió Peter, quien nos preguntó si nos sentaríamos en el bar. Fue una experiencia agradable. Hay una amplia gama de vinos de varios lugares, y los platos son originales y sabrosos también. He estado en Duck Soup varias veces y siempre estoy realmente impresionado con la creatividad y la frescura de sus platos. Very over price manager was rude when I complained the food was cold. My beer was warm not cold. I was waiting for 15 min to order other drinks as the staff was more focus in chatting and on the phone

The wine list is scattered around several blackboards and the prices, whether you buy a small glass or a carafe, are all ridiculous.

I adore Duck Soup. Intimate cosy romantic vibes with candles, a tailored bespoke daily menu and delicious range of both veggie and meat dishes. My go-to dinner restaurant in Soho - perfect for a date or dinner with friends.

Llevé a cenar a un amigo de Manchester y a los dos nos encantó. La comida era excelente, y los platos pequeños significaban que podíamos probar muchas cosas. This was one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. Interesting food, lovely natural wine, cute cosy atmosphere. We will be back and I’m buying the cook book too.

The food had some pleasant surprises ... the celeriac fritters and gnudi were delicious. We weren't given a wine list, you had to order from a blackboard. We ordered one of the least expensive options at £38. My friend tried it and approved, but unfortunately on tasting it I found it completely undrinkable. Having persevered with a few sips and still finding it disgusting we asked if we could change the wine. There must have been less than 100ml drunk from the bottle which they also served by the glass. To their credit and after an exclamation from the waitress "now you don't like the wine" (from which you'd have expected we'd have drunk more than a few token sips) they agreed to exchange for something else. Besides the dishes mentioned above the rest was mediocre at extortionate prices ... We could have put it down to a restaurant that just wasn't to our taste and forgotten all about it but the final straw that led me to write this review was the appalling service. Two of our dishes were forgotten by the kitchen and we had to ask twice for the bill after desperately trying to get someone's attention. The waitress seemed incapable of smiling and when the card machine didn't work downstairs we were simply told "you're going to need to come upstairs with me" despite still finishing off our drinks... no "I'm sorry, would you mind ..." at which point we just left. It's a pity as I'd heard good things but I certainly won't be recommending or coming back.

Mixed experience. it was a Friday lunchtime. It’s v small and has a good relaxed vibe with friendly staff. Basically a bar + 5 tables. Drank by the glass. Not a huge selection but the orange emilia romagna wine was very interesting (£11.80 per 125ml glass) though my friend did not like it. Expensive Italian sauv (over £13 from memory) prob not worth it (and I/he drink lots of Italian). Cab franc mix nice. Food: labneh and dukka ok. Pickles nice but only one sort, for some reason i expected more. Stars were mains: Gurnard and leeks great. Gnudi (like gnocchi) v good and sauce excellent. Hazelnut galette and pears sounded lovely but was heavy and no taste of nuts at all. Choc cheesecake just a bit odd. Historically puds not worth it, looks like no change there. No coffee apart filter. Odd, this is Soho. Lots of teas, kombucha etc. £120 for two including 3 glasses wine. So not cheap. Nice vibe would bring me back one more time to see.... but won’t bother with puds.

The service was terrible. I normally get annoyed when dishes are forgotten but I was incredibly polite but received no apology having waited 45 mins for our food. Life's too short. The food was ok but nothing really special and very poorly presented. And the staff looked miserable apart from one chap who directed me to the loo.

Good selection of natural wines but nothing special about the food. Plates quite small but tasty. Price is ok.

It's so hipster and rustic that is actually just pretentious and snobby.

My girlfriend and I first visited the place a couple of years ago when the cookbook also came out. Bought the book which intuitively matched our own principles of cooking; consequently, we spent the last few seasons trying out many a recipe (or rather reading it page-by-page as one would peruse through a photobook and then cooking along the same lines), exploring the thrilling world of natural wines and – without really being aware of it – honing our home collection of cutlery, glasses and interior design with rather ducksoupish elements.

Went here on my daughter's recommendation - she had a great meal a few weeks ago, when someone incredibly famous was also in!

Duck Soup is a very nice restaurant in Soho, London. It's quite small - there are not many tables (and they seem to be for two people only) but you can eat at the bar. The food is quite eclectic but it was very nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Also enjoyed the music being played!

We really enjoyed interacting with the staff, they were intelligent and funny! Lovely atmosphere and feel to the place ,the only downside was there was no duck soup on the menu ha ha! 🦆 Ruairi Kennedy London x

I took my wife for early dinner.

Esta es una joya absoluta de Soho, un maravilloso y delicioso menú. Compré el libro de cocina y lo he estado cocinando toda la semana. El labneh es hermoso: el collar de cerdo, los buñuelos de samphire, la lengua, el calamar, el risotto, todo simplemente delicioso. Altamente recomendado. El personal es amable y eficiente.

Order everything on the menu and share it around. We were 7 diners at 21.30 and the glorious food kept coming. The most exciting flavour combinations and textures. The menu changes constantly - perhaps their delicious labneh and dukkah is always there - it’s a must if it is. You have to try the beautiful drinking vinegars - they are refreshing and delicious. All my guest just thought it was delicious. A must! A culinary experience like no other. Delicious. Wonderful service too from well informed friendly staff.

This belongs with Brat/ Laughing Heart/ Bright/ Noble Rot brigade. Delicious little plates, great natural wine selection and super, friendly, knowledgable service from Marta and Benedict.

This has the capacity to be a rustic gem in the heart of bustling soho but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. The service wasn’t amazing or particularly welcoming and the wine selection is great but very expensive. You’re looking at £11.50 for a glass of wine if you’re not going for the house. The food was really tasty but considering it’s ‘sharing’ food it’s not very shareable. Food is also expensive, it’s not somewhere I would say to avoid but I feel like they haven’t quite worked out their niche and how to do what they’re doing well. It’s a bit hap hazard in my opinion.

Went here on a recommendation. Service was fine but nothing fantastic (do note, they add a 12.5% service charge to the bill). It’s a small space, with small tables. Feels more like a little cafe/ wine bar you might find in Paris than in London, which I didn’t mind. The haddock and chickpea fritters were very good, but the fettuccine was underwhelming. Can’t say I had an exceptional experience here, but wasn’t bad either. So, for me, just an average spot that I may or may not return to.

The food is is very fresh and tasty. Staff are very attentive. Atmosphere is somewhat organic. My only complaint is the 12.5% “optional” charge they added to the bill. A practice in London I’ve come to frown on. Most places now only add with a party of six or more. Adds another cost to an already expensive experience. You can request to have it removed. I chose not to this time.

The food was ok. Interesting even. Nothing special though, small plates were something swimming in juice. Difficult to serve to a number of eaters. While the menu had descriptions and prices, no wine list. They would suggest something suitable for your food selection. My mistake. When the bill arrived I found a 500 ml carafe of Chenin blanc 33 quid, equivalent to 50 quid a bottle. When you order by the carafe that is not what you expect. I got the waitress to check, but it was not a mistake, although that was her first reaction. So 127 quid for three people for some average food and wine. No thank you.

The food here is certainly different and it is well cooked and delicious. There were unusual items such as fish bones which were good fun to try. The place is small and mostly bar sitting but it was definitely worth the visit

Medio tropecé, me recomendaron este lugar hace aproximadamente un año. Quiero decir, caminando por delante de él el nombre era tan familiar. Me di cuenta de que tenía un grupo de amigos que continuamente me decían que este era el lugar para ir cuando estoy en Londres. Ambiente encantador y acogedor, ideal para reunirse con amigos o una cita. Necesito otra visita para comentar sobre la comida: el pato que pedí no comí (el sabor era malo y sorprendentemente, el personal, aunque no me vio comer, no propuso cambiarlo). Me gustó el hecho de que el menú estaba escrito a mano.

Das Restaurant ist einfach nichts besonderes.

I booked ducksoup for dinner on the recommendation of a colleague, and I’m very glad I did. The menu is not huge, but everything on it was delicious. As there were four of us, we had four small plates and two large which was plenty. Each plate was delicious, the aubergine amazing, the taramasalata excellent and the pork and lamb mains tender and plentiful.

På anbefaling fra en ven besøgte vi Ducksoup og endte med at komme igen 2 dage efter da maden, vinen og atmosfæren var skøn:-) Der er mange gode bud på spisesteder i Soho og vi har spist på mange af dem, men det her må blive en favorit.

We went last night for a quick dinner before comedy.

Tried out the lunch special which was a sardine/fennel salad plus glass of wine for £10. Great flavours and excellent value for this part of town.

Me pasó por aquí para algo como el menú parecía muy interesante, vale la pena al menos una prueba. Me senté en un banco viejo fuera, y pedimos una copa de vino, que he olvidado ya, pero era un rojo de Italia. Su lista es genial, aunque un poco convencional. Para comer; el cerdo confitado con alcaparras - un método clásico de cerdo salado grasos tierna y afilados; capers sencilla y sabrosa, aunque un poco pequeña. Y corazones de pato en una salsa rica (rábanos creo). Estos estaban bien ricos y bien sazonada, aunque un poco demasiado suavemente en la cocina (no puedo quejar ya que son un fastidio para llegar Justo - que van desde el crudo a bang en duras en un instante). El servicio era agradable y bien establecido, pero un poco de falta de conocimiento. El vino de postre pedí era fenomenal, aunque, por desgracia, también el nombre se ha perdido. Lo más destacado fue un desierto de pannacotta con pistachos y fresa - era mejor ejecutado que casi ninguno de los que he comido en el último año y hace que valga la pena volver algún día.

We visited for lunch having been intrigued by the notice board advertising the 'daily special'. In the event we chose from the menu; delicious risotto with slivers of ... with peas, mint and shallots and a pasta dish with a lamb ragout accompanied with a delicious braised cabbage side dish.

Este es nuestro lugar de visita obligada cada vez que estemos en la ciudad! Sencillamente magnífico. Intentamos conseguir la noche antes, pero estaba tan ocupado que falló! Era un martes por la noche, pero coincidió con la Feria de Vino de Londres en la ciudad así que cada Wino deben tener la misma idea. Lo hizo la noche siguiente y trabajó por los vinos por copa. Como siempre un montón de opciones, incluyendo un excelente vino peculiar de Granada y naranja Alsacia Sylvaner. La comida era excelente como siempre: chick pea azucarados con ajo silvestre, cordero y patata aoli buñuelos y salami. Pete y su equipo eran una delicia y nos recibieron como si fuéramos viejos amigos, aunque había sido 8 meses desde nuestra última visita. ! Trataremos de no dejar tanto tiempo la próxima vez. . . .

Vino y comida encantadora, pero el personal necesita una mejor capacitación alérgenos. Me dijeron que la camarera lo sobre mi intolerancia al gluten - entonces ella volvió y paquete un plato de cebada en frente de mí. Por suerte había hecho daño pero necesitan revisar esto. Todo lo demás estaba bien.

Sopa de pato es un íntimo bar de vinos, restaurante/diminuta en el corazón del Soho. Ofrece una gran selección de vinos tintos, junto con un delicioso menú de platos pequeños. Este lugar es muy "Londres" y es agobiante, la comida es para compartir, mantiene con los precios del centro de Londres y ordenar lleva tiempo. Es soho, así que lo que se puede esperar. El servicio es fantástico, amable y conocedor de vinos y platos. El menú cambia a menudo y siempre he encontrado interesante y variada. Anoche tuvimos un plato de espárragos, orzo collar de cerdo, garbanzos y jamón crujiente. El menú está construido para agradar a los seguidores de una gran variedad de dietas y siempre consta de múltiples vegetariano, varios peces y 3 platos de carne 5 basado. La mejor parte de la sopa de pato es si consigue una mesa para tomar el fuera en una noche de primavera. Hace que para gente fantástica de ballenas. Yo siempre regresaré aquí, ideal para un fin de semana "capricho" o para un viernes sesh, me encanta!

La mejor parte de este restaurante es el ambiente - es un enano, luz tenue, un bar de vinos viby. La comida es buena, aunque nada realmente destacó como excelente. De la nota, si no te gusta el vino tinto o vinagre platos basados (que a mi novio no, este no es el lugar para ti. Hay también un montón de cordero en el menú, que no es mi favorito. No tienen un bar completo y sus cócteles especiales son inventivo, pero no muy bien. Si os gusta el vino tinto, vale la pena echarle un vistazo a:).

A small and atmospheric wine bar and restaurant in Soho, serving creative dishes alongside a decent selection of wine. Small and cosy, with small tables and music from a collection of vinyl records. Can get cramped but otherwise nice atmosphere. May not be to everyone's taste and it's definitely not a place for any business related meal. A tad pricy given the décor and style.

No estoy seguro de por qué se llama Ducksoup. No soy consciente de que sirve comida china caldos o es propiedad de los Hermanos Marx. Es un pequeño bar con taburetes de bar como muchos asientos de mesa algunas de las últimas casi escondido en una alcoba. Los vinos son entintadas a un rectángulo grande de azulejos; la única cerveza de barril, posiblemente el único período de cerveza belga Vedett vendidos por la pinta media o con zumo de melocotón o granadina. No hay máquina de café espresso café es necesariamente sirve así filtrada. Me miraba en un enorme tarta de chocolate y nuez, uno de los únicos tres postres, siendo los otros sillones natillas con fresas y helados. Para mí la comida en el menú compacto era la cosa. Piezas de cerdo sobre una cama de aceite resultó ser un aperitivo sabroso, pero lo que me fascinó fue el plato del día, piezas de merluza en círculos minúsculos de fregola (pasta) con tomates bajo algunos aioli. Una delicia sensorial en términos de su explosión de colores y texturas satisfactorio no me decepcionó. Estrecho oscuro y básico, lleno de gente apretada. La comida es excelente, si te gusta la animación. Platos con inventiva eran realmente deliciosos. El bistec hanger picadas maravilloso, apareciendo púrpura brócoli, tienes que probar el garbanzo buñuelos. Postres y quesos todo bien. Un montón de vinos por copa. Amable y agitado

It’s hard to say exactly why this place is so good, and it might not be to everyone’s taste in terms of it’s laid-back not decorated since the 1960’s decor, but the food is absolutely delicious.

Pasado este lugar primera vez, gracias a su vez anónimo de escaparate. Dentro, la habitación de la planta baja (estoy suponiendo que hay un bien arriba, una, porque de lo contrario no tiene idea donde todas aquellas personas iban) es pequeña, un bar, una única fila de pequeñas mesas con espacio suficiente para pasar entre. Sin embargo, en la parte de atrás de la habitación es un poco receso con una mesa que es prácticamente una experiencia de comedor privado. Tuvimos la suerte de que les presten como cuatro amigos después de tres años, así que era el lugar perfecto para los chismes y recogida en unos platos de compartir. Platos de risotto de ajo silvestre impresionante, Tienen unos tomates verdes fritos. Magnífica y dukka sourdough. labneh y mercado en escabeche, además de unos cuantos otros. Todas absolutamente delicioso. El personal era encantador y el servicio aunque desacelerado durante un rato cuando recuperó bien. ocupado La lista de vinos es inusual y también bastante caro. Joya de un restaurante, relajado y bastante. Con tantas opciones en y alrededor de Soho es fácil elegir el lugar equivocado, demasiado turística, también en autobús, demasiada prisa donde el amor de la comida ha sido obviados en nombre de comercio. Me fue tomada por un amigo que había sido antes (siempre es bueno tener a alguien la conoce!

I went here on a date recently (which Ducksoup is perfect for) and had an amazing meal.

Food was much better than expected. Ate at the bar which turned out to be a lot of fun as we ended up meeting and drinking with our next door neighbours (So to speak)... If I need finding a but, I can only say it was a little difficult to choose among one of the biological wines, as the waiter seemed a bit lost (more than we were), but when it arrived it was really nice. The two Spanish waitresses were excellent at recommending fantastic dishes.. The final bill was a little higher than anticipated but not too bad considering it is central Soho...+It is always easy to spend when having fun! Would definitely be back!

Sopa de pato tiene un menú muy agradable. Teníamos un grupo variado y todo el mundo era capaz de encontrar algo bueno a la orden. Es un lugar pequeño, pero tiene un buen ambiente. El servicio no era el mejor, de lo contrario me hubiera dado un 5*. Pero aún así, recomiendo.

Si estás buscando un lugar estupendo para una fecha o pequeños grupos de amigos, no busques más! Ducksoup es, sin duda, un lugar donde sé que volveré. El restaurante ofrece un ambiente intimiste para disfrutar de algunos platos muy sabrosos. Toda la noche fue como una sorpresa interminable. Que se miraban por el descubrimiento de este pequeño restaurante, que el interior es bastante acogedor y le invita a relajarse y disfrutar el momento presente. Los platos eran exquisitos (el cordero era un sueño). Todos los camareros tenían una sonrisa sincera y personalidad. El "viaje" fue estupenda, el vino era de inundaciones, y los platos eran probado una después de la otra. Espléndido. Nos lo pasamos genial, se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que venga y pruebe!

First of all, the food here is vey good and creative without being cooked just for the chefs ego, we had two really outstanding dishes on our visit, the grilled ox heart and Lamb & cockels, on the down side a very ignoring and close to rude waitress, the rest of the staff were very accommodating but she kind of managed to spoil the good feeling for us.

I cannot recall the last time I had such an awful meal. And then to add insult to injury the bill was totally out of proportion to the quality and amount of food that we were served.

La queja principal es el vino - todo muy caro y el más barato cuesta 20 libras por una jarra de 500 ml, un truco barato para conseguir personas efectivamente a pagar 40 libras por vino suficiente para una comida decente. Un cóctel y un plato habría sido mucho mejor. No volvería otra vez, y no suelo escribir comentarios. . . . .

A small and narrow, but cosy restaurant, with a great atmosphere. For your wine, a lovely young sommelière will sidle between customers, to recommend you the best wine to go with your food (or simply for your evening). Unusual and healthy food, you will love the dishes without even realising 3/4 of them are vegetarian!

I had dinner here last week on a spontaneous night in Soho. Very cozy with lots of warm lighting and candles, a record player and lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was brilliant. We had about 5-6 small plates enjoyed with a bottle of red, yet regret not ordering a main as the pasta and the rabbit looked incredible. The fried pork belly with shaved fennel and the mussels starter were great.

Aunque me mudé fuera de la ciudad hace un par de años soy gob.golpear que nunca he encontrado Ducksoup antes (ha sido abierto desde 2011 creo). Reconozco que es un espacio bastante pequeña, pero la calidad de la comida definitivamente debería ponerlo en el mapa (quizás ha y yo estoy demasiado viejo y provincial estos días para oír el zumbido). Deliciosos platos pequeños que estaban llenos de profundidad y sabor. Hizo comer emocionante - comparando notas y placas - cómo te espero se comidas. No es ni barato ni caro, pero la personificación de la relación calidad-precio.

The food and service and value were remarkable. This is a very small place with a bar and a few tables. With very fresh ingredients, the chef delivered a meal worthy of the best restaurants in London.

Tonight I had the best risotto I have ever eaten. Better than any I've had in Italy, better than I've ever made at home. It was creamy and cheesy and soft and topped with perfectly roasted veg and toasted nuts. duscksoup is small and crowded, but sitting in the back alcove with his risotto made for a meal I'll not forget. Not sure I'll go back here, but I certainly will not forge that risotto.

Refreshingly different. Small unpushy but very tasty and a good vibe. Charred potato, spiced red lentils, spinach and buttermilk.

This place is almost impossible to describe. The menu is ever-changing & most dishes have just a small number of ingredients, expertly prepared, in genius combinations you never would have thought of.

I recently visited this restaurant with a group of friends and we sat downstairs.

We were attracted to this restaurant by the curtained entrance and absence of signage. It looks like a bar but it is in fact a tapas restaurant with a twist. Portion sizes are small for the price but they contain quality ingredients and interesting flavours. Service was friendly although they practically kicked us out despite earlier refusing to tell what time they would close. I was inclined to give it 3 stars but as I intend to return to try the main dishes I had to give it 4 stars.

What a brilliant find. We went in for a drink and tried a delicious cocktail made with one of their home made fruit vinegars and thyme. I was suffering with a cold and the lovely man behind the bar whipped me up a tequila and white currant vinegar short to make me feel better. It worked a treat. Lovely friendly place.

This is not going to be for everybody. You have to be willing to give into their concept. You know the cliche, "We do things a little differently here."? Well, they really do. It's tiny. It's dark. You get a tiny oil lamp by which to read the menu. The menu has but a very few items on it, and one senses they change it all up very regularly, which may also explain why they don't print up many menus. Some of the dishes may require some explaining as well. Want a glass of wine? Describe what you're looking for to the waitress. The service is very imperfect. I got my main dish way before my companion got hers, although hers showed signs of having sat in the kitchen for a few minutes. Having said all that, there's something exciting going on here. We were very glad to have rolled with the punches, so to speak.

Me encontré en Ducksoup mientras viajaba por mi propia en Londres. Me sentí muy cómoda para sentarse en la barra, bebiendo vino, y tener dos placas fabuloso pequeño. I went with my girlfriend and a friend. We seat in the bar. The service is excelente. The food is tasty, good. Overprice for me. I would recommend the place. Is cozy and the ambient is ok.

The service was very good, and the food was relatively tasty on the whole. But the food is very expensive for what it is, and the portions are ridiculously small. The lamb breast was overcooked and our food all came at rather odd times. They need to sort out portion sizes to change these prices!

Great food and wine, however disappointing service. We were seated downstairs which was a nice cozy area. When we first arrived the waitress put 1 menu down on the table and walked away not explaining that it was share plates, nor that the wine list was on a black board. Had to ask the waiter several times for service to understand the menu, wine and then actually ordering took another two times of asking for service. As I said, great food but most probably wouldn't return.

This is my favourite restaurant in London - hands down. Simple dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Yet to try something here that I have been disappointed by! Great value for money as well, and the staff are fab! If you're in London, you're doing yourself a great disservice if you don't pay the lovely people at Duck Soup a visit in my opinion.
