We talked about food FOMO before and this place has it in abundance! Crikey O'reilly but this place is incredible! We are truly blessed to have a restaurant selling high quality authentic Chinese food here in Norwich City! A little braised beef and mooli, or the face-numbing sensation of real szechaun peppercorns in a spicy sauce with delicious chicken! Piles of rice, delicious teas and noodles for days! Whilst this may not be for everyone's toast, it's well, well worth a visit for those that seek adventure and can push their boundaries. That being said there are enough classics present to keep most people happy and, given the quality of the food we had when we were here, I'm sure that anything you choose will be astonishingky good.

To begin with, if you are all about aesthetics, this place is not for you. However, if you are more traditional or homely just looking to get good food, then this place might be for you. That aside, from my own experience, the food was not very flattery for my taste based on my own order of Roast duck with rice. It is possible to find what you want from the robust menu. As for the service, very homely and refreshing. There was nothing undesired about the service. The atmosphere is just okay, not very spacious, dull lights, not picture worthy for social media enthusiasts. In summary, it is a good experience with my friends, in my opinion it is better to have the food delivered than to eat in, hence my 3 star rating

I ordered braised beef and roast duck combo with rice. Duck Sifu served the beef that's made up of 60%fat; the duck was likely stored for a few days. The price of a can of soft drinks was GBP 3.50! The service was quick but the staff needs to learn to avoid holding the parts of cutlery or can of drinks that gets into the lips or mouth of the customers.

We looked forward to our visit but were disappointed with the food quality. The service was great and friendly from the moment we arrived. We ordered pork/duck noodles and sweet/sour ribs with rice. The duck slices we were served were full of large and tiny bones, with hardly any meat left. The pork slices however were nice and well cooked. The ribs were mostly steam cooked so the meat was soft and fatty. We also felt the beer was overpriced, around £6.50 for a 330ml bottle of tiger.

Order a trio of rice dishes, roasted duck, barbecued pork and Hainanese chicken. The meat didn't feel very fresh, at least it wasn't baked on the same day. If it was baked on the same day, then their preservation methods need to be improved. The taste is a bit weird, with a slightly spoiled feeling, and the color of the meat can also be seen as a spoiled color. The meat and rice are heated in the microwave and there is no good heat preservation equipment. Not recommended

We visited there recently but it was bad. I ordered the Curry Chicken but the chicken were only little pieces with bones. Is the price of chicken so expensive in Norwich? How can they serve their customers with such terrible dishes! What a restaurant! No more interest to visit anymore.

Maaaan. Always wanted to try Mapo Tofu. So found Duck Sifu. Very clean inside, and service was quick and friendly. The mapo tofu, spot on. Spicy enough to get my nose running, but not just SPICY. Good rice too. A touch expensive, but I enjoyed it. Think my beef, mapo, rice, came out to £22 ish? Will have to visit again next time.

We ordered roast duck. It was cold and very fatty. Skin is wet and soaked, not crispy at all. The tofu hotpot tasted like pre-cooked dish from the factory. What even worse is that they don't have baby chair or baby changing facility despite their google map "about" info shows "good for kids". We have a 1.5 years old little one who barely ate anything as the table is too high. We had to rush out to change the soil nappy in the middle of our meal on a rainy day and guessed what the Greggs next door offered us the baby changing station and saved our life. Yes, even a bakery knows how to respect all people's needs. I can't believe a proper restaurant is such baby-unfriendly. When i was paying the bill, I was asked to contribute to the service charge and I refused because of our horrible experience and poor quality food. The owner gave a dirty bad look. I will not come back anymore. Not recommended.

Second time here and it didn't disappoint! If local Asians come to eat here then you can be assured that it's tasty and authentic! They are very helpful if you are unsure what to have as there's a lot to choose from and it can be overwhelming! We ordered a few dishes to share and the salted fish chicken and aubergine is so delicious (not a fishy taste) a that it became our favourite dish to order whenever we come back! Highly recommended! 🫰🏽

Authentic Chinese/Malaysian/Cantonese/Hong Kong style food. Not typical Anglo style "Sweet and Sour Chicken and spare ribs". (Those places can be good too ofcourse.) Especially good for roast meats or (Siu Mei). Extremely delicious traditional Crispy roast pork belly (Siu Yuk) with rice. Scallion sauce and chilli oil is available. Apparently yellow mustard is traditional with roast pork belly just like Worcester sauce for fried spring rolls. I expect they are also available if you ask. Delightful staff, delightful decor and crockery, multiple choices of Chinese tea, 5 stars.

As a Hong Konger who has lived in the UK many years... this is good value and actual Cantonese food in Norwich! I've decided that Duck Sifu is as close to a Hong Kong diner you can get here, but don't expect it to taste exactly like in HK. Really good service too! 三拼飯 (three-roasts rice) portion was £15. Roast duck is nice, crispy roast pork a bit overdone at the bottom but still tastes good. The braised intestines and poached chicken were the real stars. Bubble tea - £4.50 for a large cup, so it was good value (I know.. I remember moaning about how bubble tea in this country cost £3 a decade ago).

Felt like home made. I was gobsmacked with the poor quality of the duck. Well you call yourself Duck Sifu... please don't. Pork intestine was poor, very stinky smell, please wash it properly. Well my milk tea was delivered upside down and it wasn’t sealed properly so it completely spilled in the bag. The crispy pork belly was incredibly soggy and really shouldn’t have been packed with the noodles. The noodles might have come with a sauce? Couldn’t tell because it has also spilled in the bag. Rice noodles were also definitely not fresh. Cumin lamb was weirdly shredded meat. Popcorn chicken was remarkably soggy even though it was packed on its own. Altogether disappointing and some of the worst Chinese I’ve had.

Hong Kong canteen dining as it should be. Simple, fast and tasty food. The staff where very friendly on arrival, even though they were closing in half-an-hour (8.30pm). We kept it simple with two bowls of roast duck soup and some seasonal greens. Five minutes later, it was like a trip down memory lane. Tastes of home for my wife, taste from real Cantonese restaurants in London china town for me. 😉 A very pleasant, happy, family run cafe. You can't go wrong here. What a little hidden gem in a city I didnt expect to find something so authentic. I'm visiting this weekend from Liverpool and wanted to see what Norwich has to offer food wise and I wasn't disappointed when I stumbled upon this place. First of all the staff are so friendly and accommodating, they helped us order and was so chatty and polite which already is a massive factor when eating out. But not only was the service great and the atmosphere very open and cosy but the food was incredible. I consider myself a foodie and I'm also a chef, so I'm always in search of good places to eat and Duck sifu didn't dissappoint. We ordered the hainanese chicken which was amazing, very fresh and the chicken was very juicy. It came with Boiled rice, pak choi and a really fresh and tasty ginger, scallion oil which was so addictive and nice to mix into the rice. We also had the Malaysian beef brisket which was full of so much flavour and had the perfect balance of spice, it was really tasty. Last of all we had the Okra salad which was something really different especially for the western pallet but again it was delicious and went well with the Boiled rice! The menu had some really out there things which I'd also like to try at some point when I return, such as a jelly fish salad and also frogs legs! I also seen the mix meat plate which I think I'll order next time with crispy belly pork, duck and char sui which looked spot on as well 🤌 Thanks guys

Delicious Cantonese cuisine. Not the very grand style yet friendly with great flavor and portion is generous. You could sit comfortably to enjoy the food. Setting looks tidy. You actually can order items that do not come with noodles or steam rice, and order steam rice separately. That separate order of steam rice is actually pretty huge in portion which is good for sharing. Mine was perfectly made, quite aromatic. Their drinks are quite unique as well, e.g. iced fruit tea which you can have the amount of ice / sugar adjusted for you.

You know, I liked to visit these Chinese restaurants, because especially if you are a new client, special attention is paid to you, so that you can understand that you order, they tell you everything, of course. Yes, it’s a pity that there are not so many such establishments and they don’t have very premises, because people kept coming. Sometimes it happens that everyone in the room can not accommodate some people have to wait outside to come to eat very pleased that a lot of young people come. I can say one thing, that I wish you success and God grant that everything turns out the way you do it, because I know many Chinese restaurants and in fact. As far as I know, now many people are switching to Chinese cuisine.

Not sure where to start but it was a very disappointing experience. The food took ages to arrive , and when it did the chicken schnitzel had to be sent back because it was RAW! Mistakes can happen sure, but this level of mistake for a professional kitchen is difficult to forgive. Although we were partially compensated with a free round of drinks, overall the food was disappointing. The burgers were dry, the meat platter utterly tasteless and lacking in imagination, the tartiflett the least authentic I've ever seen, and mussels swimming in an ocean of wishy washy liquid.
