The tandoori dishes were exceptional, especially the Kala Bhuna which was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spices. The flavors were authentic, and the presentation was beautiful. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, helping me choose the best dishes. If you’re looking for incredible tandoori food with top-notch service, The Drummond is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

A repeat visit to this delightful wee restaurant on Drummond Street, a destination renowned for authentic South Asian cuisine. Drummond Villa never fails to delight, and – despite desperate attempts to try something different – I simply can’t resist their exquisite Chicken Shaslick Masalla, washed down with perfectly chilled draught Cobra! Next visit (November) already planned, and we’ll be returning in December, as well!

Highly recommend this spot for great food and sincere, friendly service. Riz and his colleagues made us very welcome and the food was delicious.

Came here while visiting the UK with my family. All 6 of us agreed the meal was phenomenal! Flavorful, affordable, and overall delicious.

Possibly one of the best value for money quality Indian restaurant in London. Somewhat family atmosphere, due to the small size, nevertheless great quality and the tandoori prawns were fantastic!

I had a late dinner here on my first night in London and found it very enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, the place had a nice layout and my meal was tasty and filling.

The food wasn’t very impressive and the portions wasn’t generous either. The staff were rude. When we were seated down they didnt offer us any water to drink or any of the chutneys to try. They even took away a chair from our table. There are nicer Indian restaurant across the street which are vegetarian which might be worth the visit. But overall, it was not a nice experience.

Friendly yet understated service and, most importantly, excellent food. I’ve returned here a few times over the years with colleagues and friends. They have even made a curry to my specific request ie not on the menu.

Another flawless example of how to entirely satisfy diners (this was a return visit, decided upon immediately after our first, a month ago). Fabulous food, Cobra (and Kingfisher) on draught, and impeccable service: we have found our go-to venue for when my old school buddy and I meet up, and Drummond Villa is it…why would we go anywhere else‽ Very much looking forward to our next visit!

Was very average. We had to ask for the pappadams to be changed, they didn't taste nice . The toilets were a bit grubby.

I picked this restaurant based on reviews posted and was disappointed. The food was very bland.

place is small and cosy but the food is quite crass, we ordered a wide assortment... chicken, lamb, vegetarian starters plus mains... samosas were clearly from a supermarket, salads were semi-stale, paneer tikka was flavourless, mains were badly marinated and lacked richness and flavour. Unfortunately had to waste a lot of food as a result.

Five star very attentive staff, clean and lovely little view to the street. The internal design is not very appealing but just get a seat next to the window and it’s great. Big portions as well.

Overall, this was a not a bad dining experience. Although an Open Table reservation was made, the staff (very amiable) didn't recognise the booking. Luckily, it was an early weekday evening and the dining area was fairly quiet. There seemed to be a lot of peripheral traffic - takeaway deliveries, friends/family visits and a table of 'lads' who brought in their pints from the pub across the road to have with their meal. Amusing if anything! The service was generally good, although the adjacent table with the same number of diners (two) who came in after us their food served much before us. That said, the food was very good and, despite the above, we would probably make a return visit but having first checked out the numerous other Indian restaurants in Drummond Street.

Very popular with good prices and a huge range of dishes. Service was good and friendly. It does serve meat dishes as many other restaurants nearby are vegetarian.

Tried a number of restaurants along Drummond Street and this a solid option with great tasting food and fantastic service. Wait staff are kind and accommodating and the food is prepared well and quick out of the kitchen. The decor is a little dated but clean and well maintained. The menu here is also not overwhelming but holds a good variety of dishes which will still tempt you to visit again to try something new. Prices are competitive although portion sizes are a little on the small side. I would suggest getting the same number of curries and sides as you have diners if you intend to share everything with nan/roti/paratha at the number of diners plus 1 or 2. The nan breads in particular are spectacular.

We booked to meet with friends the day before Xmas Eve. We turned up too early and were welcomed in warmly. A no pressures meal and no queries when I chose two starters instead of a main. The mixed tandoori went well with the salmon. Our friends loved their vegetarian thali too It was just lovely to have such a relaxing meal with our friends. Thank you

We enjoy our meals at Drummond Villa. We find the service friendly and not rushed and though my chicken dish was chewy on this occasion we generally find the food to be good to very good. Portions are generous and prices fair with our meal for 2 including 2 beers starters and mains came to £56 including service. We look forward to going again.

Pleasant Indian meal. Staff were nice if a little slow, as very busy including take away orders.

Enjoyed this dinner. Food was very good, service was above average, certainly for the UK, and for central London a decent bargain. We had the Papadom with some lovely chutneys to start, Chicken Chili starter, Onion Bahjee, and a Chicken kabob. For mains we had the Tandoori Mixed grill, (Chicken, Lamb and Sheek Kabob) and a Chicken Curry. Everything was excellent, for me the Chicken Chili dish was outstanding but how can you go wrong with Chicken, Tumeric and other curry spices and hot peppers all seared together. Well done guys!

Delicious food & good service! But a bit cheeky that they put papadums & dips on the table without you ordering them, then charge you for them. Maybe our fault for assuming they were on the house. Aside from that, the food was very good and the staff were nice.

My friends and i went to dinner there tonight and we had the most fantastic experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, hygienic and customer service prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and not pricey at all. They offered student discount too!

Oscar prize for the best restaurant in Uk. Had a gala time there. Paid for the set menu and had the best yummy and fantastic meal with 8 of my friends and family. Definitely going to visit again when I am in london. To finish off we all were treated with Amabala sweets by the manager at the end. Perfect end to a fantastic trip to london. Excellent meal and service - would recommend...............

We sat outside on a warm summer night. The food was delicious and varied, the service attentive but now overwhelming. This was the first night of our holiday and we couldn't have spent it more happily. It was like being in Southern India. Highly recommended.

I brought a group of co-workers to this restaurant. The owner was so thoughtful and kind to organise a table outside with shading. They brought us popadums, which was great because some of us were starving. The waiters and owner (?) were super attentive and always there to help and serve. They were well presented, polite and caring. The food arrived quickly and we had very generous portions of food - I overate, but could not finish my plate! I was happy we did not get starters because I'd be unable to eat half of my main meal. Overall, this was amazing experience - the best one we had with our group so far in London. Very recommended!

Faizal frente a la casa era absolutamente encantador, el servicio fue genial.Compartimos dos entrantes mixtos entre cuatro: el cordero tikka era suave y tierno, el samosa y los bhajis eran ligeros y crujientes.Naan fue genial, todos los curry estaban deliciosos e incluso trajeron un postre de cumpleaños para nuestro pariente.Realmente una gran noche y la comida fue genial ¡muchas gracias!

The food was tasty and they made me garlic rice on request, even though it wasn't on the menu! I had two pints of Cobra which were refreshing and cool. Would recommend.

Orderd takeaway I would not order from here again. Terrible tasting food. The dall was like water. The lamb was tough and dry. To be honest i cant review the other dishes as they can only be summarized as unedable.

We ordered butter chicken which was surprisingly light yellow in color with butter on the top floating separately and we also ordered murgha masala which had gravy filled with thick eggs in it.. if u call this authentic Indian then I am sorry as murgha masala never has big eggs floating in it. we called the waiter to inform him and ask him about the same very politely so he replied by saying "this is for the whites" and not for you and this is not an indian restraunt and i was so surprised to here this from the waiter himself. i asked him back for the racist remark that he made plus also asked about the board outside that states authentic indian cuisine. how can u use authentic indian cuisines and indian food and run a business but pass these cheap remarks to fellow indians themseleves. what a waste of money, wasted my 50 pounds. please avoid this restraunt as they have no manners and trust me the food was awful. i want the owner to get in touch with me and apologize and make their staff understand otherwise you wont be able to survive in the market for long after such a pathetic staff attitude and foodshame ownershame staffworst foodwasted my night here

Traditonal curry house in traditional curry area (Drummond street), only 5 mins from Euston station.On a cold wet December night it looked inviting - light, bright and bustling. The aroma was really appealing. Inside it was warm and comfortable with the traditional white tablecloths, plain plates, and silver serving dishes. The restaurant was nearly full, with a selection of customer ages and nationalities.We were given a cheerful and courteous welcome and served speedily and efficiently. Our choices arrived piping hot and were just what we had in mind - we just wanted an ordinary, tasty, old-fashioned curry each, with standard side dishes. This is exactly what we got, and we were very pleased with our choices. (Chicken methi/butter chicken/chilli and peshwari naans/tarka daal/mushroom biriyani, with wine and a beer).Good size portions and good value for money. Excellent. Will return.

Push waiter, hounding you to pick tjr most expensive thing, and when you get it home, it’s terrible!!!I’m pretty sure it was just a microwave dinner heated up for me. This is what you get for £13.45.

Had 4 non veg and 3 veg dishes with rice and nan bread.. Unfortunately, the food come out luke warm. All the veg dishes tasted very similar and very bland, as did the non veg dishes. Unfortunately, not a great place to eat. Shame as the pictures on the website look great.. don't be fooled.

This place deserves the very best accolade.

It's a typical Indian spot chosen more or less randomly of those nearby. But we thoroughly enjoyed that lunch with kids: the food was great (garlic nan bordering on unforgettable), service very friendly, the bill reasonable. Quite unexpectedly that turned out to be our most enjoyable Indian meal over a few hectic days in London.

We meet up every few months as a group of friends and its becoming a habit to pop in here to eat.

My daughter declared her dinner as the 'best butter chicken ever'. Friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable prices. Super close to Euston station too. We'd definitely go there again if we were local to this area (and country). Thanks again.
