Dr.Noodle 珍美捞 in Lewisham

I have ordered from Dr Noodle dinner and spent £80. I received 3 noodles dishes only tasting like soya sauce. Extremely salty and with no other flavour. The 2 meats and rice meal contained duck and the duck was full of bones. It was a meal for a kid and he could not eat it as it was extremely dangerous. The crepe was practically empty and dry and the spring rolls soggy. £80 for a meal that went all straight in the bin. I ordered from this place as i saw the glorious reviews. Obviously fake and fabricated.

Popped in today for some lunch both of us opted for the crispy pork and rice to eat in the man behind the counter couldn’t charge us both fast enough but then the other table of middle aged people paid after there meals? So in my opinion felt a little discriminated against considering we’re both in our 20s. When the food arrived upon appearance looked really good and fair size portion but when you tuck in is when all what seems is not what you hope for the rice was crispy as if was over cooked and cold pork could hear microwave pinging off so clearly all reheated! No toilet facilities in a dine in restaurant which was a bit of a shock so no hand wash facilities available either. The server behind the counter a man with glasses disappeared leaving another customer stood there for about 5 minutes waiting to be served. Really gone down hill from previous times both food and service was not great all so with that won’t be returning place needs some serious work and quality brought to it.

Beef noodle soup and a pork mince sandwich were delish

Maybe I went on a bad day, but it the food and atmosphere was really not good. When we arrived (quite late around 9pm) there was no one at the counter so we had to wait quite a while to get someone’s attention. Despite being almost empty, three of the tables were covered in dirty dishes. It says online that it closes at 11 but I got a sense that they wanted us out, they also turned away a few people who came before 10pm so maybe the opening times need updating. No one came to wipe the dirty food on our table so I eventually had to ask someone to come and do it. The food was also really bad, I got biang biang noodles that were still raw and hard, and didn’t really have much taste. The condiment trays were almost empty so I couldn’t add much to improve it either. I also got the fried prawns with wasabi mayo, the batter was still raw and they let out loads of water when you bit into them? I asked the to take these off the bill which they did . I think a lot could be done to improve the atmosphere. The strip lighting makes it quite an uncomfortable place to sit, and the door swinging open means it gets quite cold. I think having clean tables and someone present at the desk would massively improve the general experience. I hope this was just a one off bad experience, I’d heard good things so was quite disappointed.

3 stars for the food - 1 ⭐ because it doesn't come with a spoon for noodles and no toilet -1 ⭐ they charged me the wrong amount and thank god I rectified as soon as I noticed because I only have £20 cash

I’m Chinese and this is my to go place - the only place like really makes me feel home . I have ever ordered take away and the food never disappoints me . Just very authentic Chinese food .

soup was good but not good on my guts the next day, delivery drivers in and out whole time leaving the door open so it was freezing cold.

I can't vouch for eating in as I've only ordered takeaway so far, but Dr. Noodle is so good that I'm considering employing them as my medical doctor

Dr. Noodle is in dire need of life support. I’m honestly struggling to find a place to begin with this review. Picture this: a white-tiled hospital waiting room, where we sat anticipating five dishes, that arrived in 10-minute intervals, each more disappointing than the last. The noodles were as thick as cardboard and undercooked, the beef soup noodle was flavourless with just three sad chunks of fat, and the vegetable noodles were drenched in salt with little to no vegetables. Adding insult to injury, the atmosphere was far from inviting. Uber Eats drivers streamed in and out, leaving the non-closing door wide open, while we shivered in what felt like a below-temperature padded cell. All of this ‘pleasure’ came with a £50 bill. Eating here felt less like dining and more like sitting in A&E. Which on second thought, would have been better. Avoid.

Really delicious spot! The portion sizes were great and cheaper than average London prices. I got my order to takeaway and love that they package the noodles separately from the broth so they don’t become soggy.

I cannot quite describe to you how yummy this was. Please go there right now and eat the pork egg tomato noodles. It will make you live longer

The staff were all Indian. The upgrade I was recommend was not good value for money at all. Better off at The noodle house towards new cross gate.

Fantastic food! Very authentic Chinese flavours which can be difficult to find in London, especially with this price point. Very casual spot, great to visit on a weekday. Very warm inside and decor is basic. I opted for the pork noodles whilst my partner opted for the beef soup noodles. Both great. If in the New Cross area I recommend.

It can be hit or miss, I get the same thing as I have the vegan option. The first few times it was so flavoursome and delicious, the last few times it has been very watery and not much flavour at all. The sides are delicious but the portions very small for the price

Such a hidden gem randomly on Lewisham Way with made to order noodles. Very spicy Mala flavoured rice noodles in spicy soup. It is a very casual, no fuss place with a focus on the dishes.

Continually thrilled this is down my road - some of the best food I’ve eaten in and around London and every time I order something different. The mapo tofu is brilliant if you’re not in a noodle mood!

I was always a good fan of this shopbut today this noodle came when I ordered the normal one. I like their taste as always, but I wanted to make a review so that this mistake doesn’t happen again.

Disgusting food, poorly cooked and seasoned. They use a lot of meat cuts that need to be served hot, but come cold. They even short changed us. This being at 4.6 at time of writing with 74 reviews just shows the problem with brought bot reviews. There's not a worse place to eat I imagine around SE4.

Good staff/manager and food, reasonable price in London. They will be a little bit slow during peak time but I don’t mind as the food are fresh😆 Beef rice is a must-try

When I went, staff seemed too busy in the kitchen to be attentive. Had to ring the bell on the counter. Food is pretty epic though. The side dishes, just for for a selection it's hard to be disappointed. Not much to report about atmosphere as it's a tiny place.

As a foodie who saw this place mentioned by various food bloggers online (including Infatuation London) and realised it was local to me, I knew I had to go immediately. When I went for lunch last Friday, the windows were steamed up so I was unsure whether there was space inside. Luckily as soon as I opened the door I spotted an empty table. It’s a small and unassuming place - it’s clean and decorated somewhat, but don’t go here for the atmosphere expecting to spend hours here. They know what they’re good at; serving delicious flavours with large portion sizes at a reasonable price point. It did take a while for them to serve our food, but I chalk that down to the 2-man band running the entire restaurant on the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the beef soup and struggled to finish it. The flavours were rich and the spice level could be increased to your liking with the complimentary chilli oil. The beef tasted almost buttery and I was surprised how generous they were with the meat. Next time I look forward to trying out some of their rice dishes but until then - if you’re in the area and need a quick bite, look no further!

Delicious food for excellent value - a nice small menu cooked well. The strange atmosphere almost adds to the experience . Only thing that lets it down is no toilet in the restaurant

An ancient practice, known only to those who truly love to chomp, the "Bang-Bang" is conceptually straightforward; eat a complete meal at two separate restaurants, one immediately after the other. For purists such as I, a BB is only a BB if one approaches each meal as though the other has not/will not happen, making all of the usual short sighted decisions at both meals; one too many starters, filling up on bread, ordering a pizza as a side, etc. Practically though, this is hard to achieve, choosing a starter when you are already full is not fun. It's also wasteful, which is bad, and greedy, which I am told is also bad. Hence, I have recently given rise to the Dirty Double, the less wasteful more enjoyable little brother to the Bang-Bang, whereby one is required to consume two mains - with different carbohydrate bases - from the same restaurant. Dr Noodle is perfectly suited to this challenge, primarily because the food is so delicious a revelation that I can't imagine finishing one dish here and not immediately, genuinely, wanting another. I did the ground pork and egg sauce noodles followed by stewed beef over rice and I urge you to do something similar. Come alone the first time if you can - there will be a repeat offence - enjoy the anonymity and the company of good chilli oil. Note also that the spicy cucumber is a mandatory side.

This place has been super hyped recently, featured in time out etc... does it deserve the praise? Somewhat yes. We tried all the signature dishes for takeout, the place is quite small with only about 5 tables. We had high hopes for the pork belly rice but it was sadly lacking depth. With all the rice dishes we felt the ratios were poor, too much rice and not enough of the actual dish. The beef noodles didn't have this issue though. This dish was easily the best dish from them. Creamy meaty meat chunks and delicious broth. The wraps are ok, but perhaps lost something when ordered for takeout.

The three-in-one noodles I ordered were only two-in-one, without minced meat. The amount of topping is also very small. The Spicy Rice Noodles are really vegetarian, and there are no other side dishes except soup. I don’t understand why there is 4.9

Exceptional authentic Chinese food. Make sure you order some of the amazing vegetable sides. Can’t decide between the cucumber and yuba for my favourite.

A real authentic chinese restaurant, from their signature dish the beef soup noodles to the chili oil and vinegar on the table. The smell of the restaurant brought me back home the moment I stepped in the door. It was so familiar and warm. I’d say the food was really good and particularly comforting to me and my friend, also very affordable. Definitely will come back. Have already made the plans for trying all other dishes on the menu.

Very happy to have a new local go-to spot for delicious authentic Szechuan cooking at affordable prices. We had pork aubergine with rice, prawn stir fry noodles and seaweed - all perfectly cooked and very tasty. Lovely couple who run it and a nice buzz eating in on a Sunday evening - glad others have noticed the food quality too. Thanks Dr Noodle, will be back soon!

The chicken feat go unbelievably hard. The spicy pork mince noodle soup is also great, it's not called that it's a Chinese name but goes hard. And the beef side is pretty delicious too. Great atmosphere but maby not for a date night but very well lit and comfortable. Very polite staff working very hard.

The best Chinese noodles you will get in South East London. Service can be slow, but 100% worth it for such tasty tasty food. Go and eat here!

amazing first visit here. Had initially been unsure because there are no vegan mains on the menu, but they put something together just for me! delicious, reasonably priced noodles - the best Chinese food I've ever had!

This is the most genuine chinese restaurant in south London with really affordable price. The boss lady is such a genuine person who is passionate about food. Everything homemade, fresh and delicious. Definitely worth a try, will come back with friends.

Amazing little new gem in Southeast London! I'm just sad I only discovered it the day before moving house, but at least I'm not moving far! Ran by a lovely Sichuanese couple, super friendly and food is just as it should be. Do yourself a favour and get a bowl of Noods, it's good for your soul.

Really great noodles. The dry noodles were superb. No additional charge for dining in to. The condiments and chilli oil were nice.

Dr. Noodle was *packed* on what must've been its opening night/week three weeks ago and immediately put it on The List. Bolstered by a thorough recommendation by @caffs_not_cafes in his review for the new section of @vittlesmagazine I stopped faffing and got in there. Speciality beef soup noodles with a broth as brawny as it is light on its feet. The tian jin crepe sticky with sweet soy bean paste and complete with a weiner. Spicy braised pork with tomato and egg salad all aiding the limelight for those brilliantly taut but tender noodles. A chilled plate of pickled white cabbage and shredded potato with vinegar and chilli offering sweet, acerbic relief. The thin slices of beef shin that, although a bit knackered, were accompanied with a Xinjiang spice blend that immediately reminded me of the fried chicken at Bristol's maligned Chilli Daddy (inb4 "that's a Szechuan place too, you dummy). Lastly, the 'red tea'- a potent blend of E numbers, fructose and real tea flavour that I would happily accept as a drip replacement. Final image is two of me reacting to anything remotely new that seldom is to others. Couldn't be run by a nicer family, who own a restaurant chain in China and have essentially imported that menu here. Working our way through this spread on a sunny eve watching Zhāocáimāo metronome keep rough time to 'Careless Whispers' — the romantic equivalent of getting Rick Rolled.

Noodles was nice and good price but I think the side dishes were clapped and too expensive . Will visit again but maybe will just go for the noodles. Noodles really nice tho and bossman really friendly
