if I could give it 6 stars I would

Enjoyed many a cooked breakfast and cup of tea here, especially on breaks from work as a Goldsmiths student. Bubble and squeak is a highlight!

Maybe the BEST fry up I've ever had at a cafe. Usually something is wrong but here everything was done perfectly. Good prices, strong coffee, good quality meat and ingredients. Highly recommended!!!

It is the classic old English breakfast. They'll give you water in miss matched pint glasses and food in dinner school plates. It's a great place for a hangover or a pick me up that won't cost an arm and a leg

The food was served quickly and the staff were polite. However, I was a bit disappointed that my kofta was cooked like a flattened mini burger. It also did not match with the photos shown on the wall. I will also say the meat portion is on the small side. However, the food tastes freshly cooked. I enjoyed it.

4 of us had different meals all well worth the money. presented good service friendly and quick.

Great Breakfast, good quality every time

attracted by awesome pics of dishes, road side tables with glass windows and awning, we decided to have 1 English b/f of standard portion and 1 veggie. They were great. Main ticks: good portion that we took away bread and bacons and didn't have lunch that day, good price, warm hospitality. Here is the reason I would visit again - the cha latte. I had this firstly in Taiwan 10 years ago and several thereafter. This one is the best, though I would ask for half sugar next time.

This was my local cafe when I was at university years ago and I have so many great memories here with all of my friends. Today I walked in after not having visited for about five years - I was instantly recognised and treated to the kindest, friendliest service ! It made my day ! Really well priced delicious food and great coffee - amazing outdoor seating area to enjoy the sun while you eat. I can’t recommend this place highly enough !

The BEST chai latte I've ever had, nowhere does it as nice as here and unfortunately I don't live in the area otherwise I would be here all the time. Breakfast is lovely too

My favourite cafe in the area. Coffee is always nice and pretty looking in the cup. and the food is always delicious lots of it n so tasty iwth salad. try the omelette. mmm. staff so nice. love this cafe :_)))

A proper greasy spoon, and I say that with the highest praise. This place is probably responsible for hundreds of bachelor's degrees and dozens of PhDs. Some stuff on the (huge) menu is better than others, but it's all good value.

Service is slow at this cafe, unfortunately. As it is right opposite the university it is often very busy so best time to visit during main lectures. The owner is a very nice man. The rest of the staff wax and wane dependant on their customer service experience. The food is very good especially as the prices are competitive for the area. Also you get a lot of food for your money.

staff is really nice, there's a good range of options here at affordable prices. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. The seating at the cafe is really nice, there's a lot of it and outside seating as well if you want to have a smoke. Would highly recommend this joint

I used to go here with my husband when he worked at Goldsmiths. Cheap and good traditional London greasy spoon.

Staff are always friendly and food price is very reasonable, and there is lots to choose from. Large amounts of indoor and outdoor seating, and you never feel rushed to leave.

Fantastically friendly cafe, providing an excellent service. A wide ranging menu of delicious food caters for all tastes. For those working/ learning locally, or just passing through the area, this cafe is a great place to stop and enjoy a really great meal.

Big portions, but nothing particularly special. Although I don't smoke the semi-indoor area seems like a pleasant chill out space for smokers.

Some of the friendliest staff in the New Cross area. Haven't had a single bad experience in three years now.

I am a local in New Cross and LOVE going to Goldsmiths Café. The staff are always friendly and so welcoming. The food is very good and the coffee is amazing! The place is always very clean. Would definitely recommend this place for a cheap and cheerful breakfast, lunch or supper! They now stay open until 9pm :D
