Close to the local petrol station where we re-filled, and decided that the van crew needed refuelling too! A welcoming and calm interior, with friendly service, very nice coffees and very tasty soup/panini and a panini only to enjoy. Recommended for those transmitting through Lochinver as I guess the local folk will already appreciate this very nice cafe.

Excellent coffee and friendly staff just what you need to start your day and if you want something more the bacon rolls are great too. And if you’re a vegetarian my wife loved the vegetarian sausage butty.

Great find. Easy parking in the area. A friendly welcome, & the menu was fine. We had panini with pesto & mozarella & panini with black pudding with a sweet chilli, both with coleslaw and salad. We had Kombucha with ice and sparkling water as well as a Diet Coke. After we had an amazing bischoff tiffin, an americano and an iced latte. Total cost £33. Nice toilet too.

The waitress could not be bothered making our cups of tea so she got a bottle of water and left to go behind a curtain. When she came out, we were eating our scones and no tea! I asked her where was our tea, and she said, “it’s busy just now”! She then went and made our tea. The scone was good, though!

Superb cafe for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Coffee was excellent. We were tempted by the range of sausage rolls, veggie pastries and cakes- but went instead for the tasty lunch menu. Burgers were excellent as were the panini and soup. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Lovely wee dog friendly Cafe. Lovely home baked cakes and a nice varied Lunchtime menu. We sampled the Soup of the Day, lovely spicy Tuscan Bean which was really good, ideal for the blustry weather. Matched with a Black Pudding Toasty and Tuna Melt toasty, washed down with 2 x Americanos. Excellent tasty food, great service from the two lovely Staff. Well worth a visit if you are over in this neck of the woods.

Quick summary: sun -filled casual cafe with delish toasties, sandwiches, and soups. (Maybe salads, too? I forget). Range of coffees, lovely desserts. Friendly, helpful staff. We stopped in for lunch while touring the area. The delish coup of the day was vegetable lentil — nice verges and not too heavy. We each got the soup and a half toastie for about 9 pounds. Items could be ordered as regular sandwiches or toasties. One was cheese and ham; the husband ordered cheese and chutney. Diners around us were also having a range of coffees. We were too full for dessert, but they looked wonderful. I regret that I did not purchase p the plum and ginger cake as a takeaway. There were other lovely pastries and cakes. There is also a nice range of cold drinks in the case, including flavored sparkling sodas. Friendly, professional staff. I would love to have such a charming shop in the town where I live, and would be a regular customer. The residents of Lochinver are fortunate.

We arrived at a very busy time on a very wet day, so we’re faced with a bit of a wait. It was worth it. Simple, quality food - so fresh and nicely prepared - hit the spot! Without doubt, the best breakfast roll this year, bar none.

We won a voucher at the Lochinver Highland Games raffle to spend at the Driftwood Cafe. We dropped by late in the day for drinks and cakes for 6 people. The staff were very helpful labelling up everything we purchased (we asked for take-out) Lemon drizzle, carrot cake, rocky road, a minty millionaires shortcake were all excellent and good sized. Coffees and hot chocolate’s were also great.

Fantastic selection of homemade cakes and treats to accompany a very good coffee. Managed to get a table ok and the staff were pleasant and took care of us throughout our visit. Never felt rushed despite it being quite busy. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Lochinver. Thanks and keep up the good work.

What a wonderful find on Lochinver front...a welcoming cafe with proper cups and saucers! We had Flat Whites which were very good, cooked to order bacon and egg roll each and would have had cake too but the roll had done it's job. Friendly staff, bright and clean. Would not hesitate to go back on another occasion...they deserve to do well, think they might be a new venture this year.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! We were driving by and found it by chance. The crispy chicken burger was really tasty. My kids loved the nachos and loaded fries. The food quality and taste were amazing, and the prices were very affordable. If you’re in the area, it's a must-try, and the view from the place is breathtaking.
