Feels more welcoming Ina funeral home then in here. They purposefully don’t have a working phone to force customers to order through these apps and their inflated rates. They didn’t even wrap my stuff up. Chucked it in a box and in a bag. So by time I was home it was barely warm. Absolutely abysmal. Might literally be the last time I ever order from any of the drakes. Been going all my life. Shame

Such a shame as delivery driver went to wrong address, rang me and then after directing him, he arrived and was very rude! He said the code was wrong despite me showing him it in the app! Fish & chips were clap cold in the end!

Even when there’s a specific option to add scraps they always miss them, it may seem small but it makes all the difference (this isn’t the first time scraps have been missed) very disappointing, also fish and chips incredibly oily and fish missing half the batter

Rip of at £30!!! Re-fried chips aren't acceptable given the prices they charge, fish was soggy. 'hand battered' scampi/mozzarella sticks are just frozen Breadcrumbed ones.

Always Drive past this place Never been here first Time today but won't be going back need alot of improvement . Chips Tasted old fish was very oily . Couldn't taste the fish Mushy Peas and Curry Sauce was like water. Spent £14.50 not worth the hassle. I think I'll stick to Doyals Fisheries Otley Road shipley

According to your site, the driver was waiting over an hour. I ordered at 16:40 and eventually go the order at 20 past six.

Placed order at 11am, dead simple F&C x 2 2 bags of chips. No scampi, battered sausage, pineapple rings etc. Dinnere time us 12.30 till 1pm. I asked for delivery to 12.20 giving 10 minutes for traffic and it came at 1.10pm. Wont be using again!

Just got fish and chips with a tub of curry sauce for my lunch today, OMG these are the worst fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was Certainly not fresh, the Chips tasted like they had been fried previously and refried. The curry sauce was that waterered down you could visibly see the water coming away from the sauce. Last but not least, service was at a snails pace, unable to cope with uber driver waiting for his order and one customer before me ordering for a family of 5. Never again, disgusting.

We ALWAYS only had fish and chips from here. Today the taste of the fish batter chips and peas were so unpleasant it ended in the bin. Never had such awful fish and chips ever. What has happened the taste of the oil was rancid

After buying fish and chips today here and then walking across to the park to eat with my elderly parents I was dismayed to find my car had been keyed all down the side. I take it the ‘patrons only’ didn’t extend to us walking around the park with our fish and chips. Luckily I have a dashcam and can see exactly who has done this and will be reporting it to the police as criminal damage AND I will never be buying fish and chips here ver again and will be spreading this information on every Facebook site/google site and every other site I can think off. Absolutely disgusting- it’s about £500 worth of damage. You should be ashamed of yourself

Muy caro, casi ningún pescado en el pastel de pescado y estaba goteando grasa, las patatas fritas estaban bien. Prefiero ponerme mi propia sal y vinagre como me gusta probarlo, el tipo se lo puso para nosotros y debe haber sido racionado, no se molestará de nuevo.

This place is horrible can not get the order right ... and I did check with gentleman who served me and he said yes its right ... got home got things I didn't even ask for ... hubby and kids threw these out beause it was cold and full of grease and not what they asked for like I said 😑

Very expensive for what you get. The staff are very good and there is an inside seating area. But it is more expensive than surrounding chippy's

The so called "Homemade" tartare sauce was actually a Heinz pob - very disappointing and certainly not worth £1.50

I work for a Lady that lives just over the Road from this Chippy, and I always look forward to working for her, mainly just so I can nip over the Road and get a fish butty from Drakes at lunchtime ! One of my favourite all time Chippys is Drakes; the staff are great, the fish and breadcakes are great….and the chips, wow, they are to die for. I hate underdone super-clean chips, they are just not proper Chippy chips in my opinion when they are done like that - Drakes are like old school fish and chips, where the chips are well done and not dry at all. I absolutely love this Chippy, when I was in today, a guy and his wife were eating in, and as they were leaving he said to the lady that worked there “they were the best fish and chips we have had in ages…” Having spoken to the Lady that works there - it sounds like the key to them being so damn good, is the Halal Beef Dripping they use, and the type of sweet potatoes that they use for the chips (they brown up easily) - hence the super taste, flavour and colour ❤️ I am mega impressed 🙏

The delivery driver left the food out in the cold garden - it was only because I telephoned and they told me he'd left the order on the chair in the garden. Was barely warm which affected the quality o f the food. Not impressed

Mate been a long time since I’ve had fish and chips and it did not disappoint, took it all the way from Shipley to swain house and it was still warm and delicious

Never in my life have I been served such a discraceful portion of fish and chips. The chips were completely burnt and end of the line, could pass as crisps. The management could barely lift an eye when I asked for a refund. When gosh and chips are £9.40 per portion with curry sauce they should be spot on and served to order every time. Drakes has defintely gone down hill. Hit and miss most times but this has been by far the worst.

Ordered for dinnertime at work, delivery time was pushed back 4 times. In the end could not eat it as dinner was finished at work. Called shop, guy said not his control all down to just eat driver. Aksed driver he said shop issue as food was not ready when he went to collect.

It's easy to see why traditional chippies are dying if establishments like this one think their offerings are acceptable. Called in mid afternoon for a late lunch. Was greeted by shabby signage in the car park to the rear, and that theme continued when I stepped inside. Staff not in any kind of uniform, strewn in jewellery, and without head coverings or hair nets. Whilst the girl that served me was actually quite pleasant, that's where the pleasantries end. Archaic menu with no choice of portion size, hot boxes full of stale items presumably from lunch time, which they were all too happy to sell at full price. Over £8 for sausage, chips, curry and a drink isn't unreasonable these days...providing its of a decent quality; sadly this wasn't. The sausage was shrivelled and dry, the chips were at least OK but nothing to write home about. Sadly, unless the tired, tatty shop is improved along with the quality of food is improved, I wouldn't go back.

I did not enjoy that at all, was really looking forward to good fish & chips and what I got was nowhere near. Plus some items were missing as well.

After driving round aimlessly trying to find a decent halal fish and chips, we decided to try Drakes for the 1st time. 2 fish and chips with gravy. Portion size was generous. Fish and chips cooked to perfection. Really tasty. Gravy good portion. Not too thick or too runny. Customer service was brilliant, 2 lads really attentive, all food cooked in halal beef dripping and all food halal. Good to know. Definitely recommend and will deffo be back.

Food was alright but they sent curry sauce instead of gravy which kind of ruined the meal for me. Only time I’ve ever had an issue though. Usually spot on.

Called in with My wife and my 2 children don't have fish and chips that often they don't agree with me , that said I ordered chicken nuggets and chips for my boy , chips the wife and a fish buttie for myself all the food was really nice the fish was spot on chips actually had taste and my small one ate all his food , not often you get such good food

Awful. Missed off parts of our order when delivered, then said “nothing I can do luv” repeatedly like a demented parrot and refused to bring the rest of the order that I paid for. This was apparently their ‘manager’.

Tried Drakes Fish and Chips in Idle, (Bradford) as the regular chippies we use were close, what a mistake! Ordered 2x Fish with scraps and a portion of chips. Fish was small/very thin, the portion of chips was also very small. Everything was over cooked and greasy. It looked like the fat it was fried in was very old, the batter on the fish looked like it had been fried in used motor oil. Poor quality food, small portions and poor value. This would be a zero star review if possible. Avoid even when all the other local chippes are closed!

I ordered fish and chips which arrived early. The food was lovely and hot. The batter on the fish was beautiful and the chips were divine!! Will definitely order again from Drakes

Fish n chips were great. Unfortunately, I ordered beans, but I got mushy peas, which I hate. Why do they allow you to order something on the menu that they don't have?

Yummy, on time, order exactly right, just a little greasier than normal, still very nice though.

Only complaint was paying £1.50 for the homemade tartare sauce which amounted to four teaspoons of mostly mayonnaise.

Staff and food were amazing under difficult circumstances and we were glad we went could not complain about anything we will certainly be back
