Totally disgusted Asked what I could eat without MSG - firstly the person serving said they didn’t know - when I asked if she could ask she said there was a language barrier!!!!!! Actually while it’s not a big deal for me this could be serious for someone with a life threatening allergy. Then to make matters worse the conversation was discussed with a delivery driver TUT. Won’t be back

Ive just received this order and the best description of my meal is sludge! This rating should be minus 5! I have never eaten anything quite as horrible as the congealed mix they described as this green chicken curry. Just crap thickened with cornflower. In all my years this stands out as one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. I will not order again! Totally revolting.

Food ordering was straightforward, ready in less than 10 minutes. My husbands chicken curry was bland, runny with mainly onion. He said he had never tasted such a bad chicken curry. Other meals were ok but very salty and bland. I will not be back and would not recommend to anyone.

After trying to tell him what chow mein I wanted he constantly butted in and sent the wrong one then just started shouting down phone no be going back

Horrible food , had to bin it, also had bad gut for 3 days, don’t know why this place has gone downhill, used to be best in Livingston when it opened , I’ll never chance another one from here ever,

My family and I were at first skeptical due to the bad reviews, but the food turned out to be perfectly heated and no dishes were missing! The portions were very well sized, and even though there were only three of us ordering, we could have fed five if we wanted. Excellent value, will definitely be ordering again. P.S: The best salt and pepper chicken and chips I’ve ever received from a Chinese Takeaway were included, I’d definitely recommend ordering them.

Rude staff waited over two hours never order again the girl that answered the phone was so common and very rude think she needs some customer service skills first time ordered from Scoffable never again she the owner was so nice shame he has such horrible order takers

POSSIBLY OUR WORST TAKE AWAY EVER !!! Over 2 hours to be delivered and when it arrived it was cold. Chicken fried rice dish was boiled rice with a few pieces of chicken in top, curry sauce was congealed and other dishes were quite simply awful. RIP OFF...

Order took almost 2 hours to be delivered, when it arrived one dish was missing. Everything else was freezing. Called about the missing dish, was advised it would be delivered asap. Waited a further 30 mins, new meal that was delivered was the wrong thing. Called again and asked for a refund to be told they would only refund £7 despite the whole £28 meal being ruined. Terrible service.

Back to it best, we used to order from here but stopped as it went downhill but I am glad to say it is back you being a 5 star takeaway

I have enjoyed this outlet for many a year and previously rated it a 4. Then was really disappointed with a 2 star with the new owners. Now ir seems to have improved and 3 may be less than generous but hopefully a sign of back to pass glories focussed on some fast food options the starters come in pizza boxes

Meal took an hour and a half to be delivered. For the second time. Unsurprisingly was cold on arrival. Restaurant refused refund unless food was returned and even made the poor delivery driver come back to the door to take the cold food back. Very poor show from what used to be a reliable local takeaway. Will not be back.

The title says it all. Waited 90 minutes for food that must have been sitting unheated for well over an hour. We probed all the dishes and they ranged from 40 to 52 degrees. Absolutely awful. They should be crippled for this.

Used to always get our takaway from here it was a little pricy but the food used to be worthbit. the last few times it's been terrible. The garlic chilli chicken used to be large pieces now it's watery and tastes of vinegar. BBQ sauce was so watery and tastless and they have stopped takjng card. Will not be going back.

Always been my go to place for Crispy Shredded Chicken, Chili and Garlic sauce. Not anymore if tonights offering is anything to go by. It nearly ended up in the bin! Oh and cash only now, no card payments.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS TAKEAWAY! First time visiting as our usual Chinese takeaway (China Palace in Deans) was closed and had heard good things about this place in the past. Got 3 portions of the most tasteless and peely-wally looking chow meins I’ve ever seen, I was however enjoying my chicken satay, flavour of sauce was great (chicken had a strange texture though) until I got halfway through it and found a long blonde hair.

Started using this takeaway service a couple of months ago. Best Chinese food in Livingston. Very tasty. Will use again.

Just ordered from here and it was disgusting!! BBQ sauce tastes like sweet and sour! Sweet and sour taste like lemons, the “chilli chips” were crap had no spice to them at all! And crispy beef was disgusting! Rice was over cooked and could tell it sat for ages will never be back and will not be recommending to anyone!!!!!!

I have tried most take aways In Livingston and got a menu in post for the dragon house so decided to give it a try. Ordered chicken curry fried rice. Sweet and sour chicken balls and honey chilli chips. Meal was inedible. Chicken curry no taste. Sweet and sour chicken balls were sauggy and big but couldn't eat them. Chips again only just cooked like eating chips that had just been defrosted. This is the worse Chinese I have ever had. The menu is in bucket already with the food. BEWARE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. A little more pricey than other chinese especially when it comes to getting meal deals, Hong is best for those. They do do their regular meals very well, like shredded beef, and I think you should give them a try at least once.

We love this takeaway as the food is delicious! Good size potions, slightly more expensive than other local takeaways but well worth it for the superb dishes you get. They offer a delivery service or you can pre order and collect. Give it a try!

This carry out iused to be excellent but I would sadly downgrade to average . On the plus side the delivery time was good and the food still warm when it arrived with olny minimal microwave reheat required.

I was told twice that the order is not with us & it's already left & was then cut off on both occasions. Used to use this restaurant a lot many years ago as it was always good food and speedy service. After tonight I'll never use them again.

Used to be one of the best in west Lothian Now the worst since new management took over on Monday 6th June Every dish we ordered was either loaded with salt or loaded with sugar and swimming in grease and absolutely tasteless avoid completely

They called to let me know delivery may be up to an hour. This was good customer service. However food was bland and all the sauces were extremely salty. This may have been down to a busy night though this is no excuse. Won't be going back

Haven't been here for a while and doubt will be back our soup which was meant to be chicken and sweetcorn also a chicken and noodle had so much black pepper I actually thought it was a black pepper soup, then our mains well where to start, everything was anaemic, bland, undercooked, soggy and the veg was on the verge of turning. Now finally prawn crackers, how hard are these to overcook - as we all know very easy. Unfortunately our chef didn't seem to know this as the two bags I paid for were dark brown and the bag you are meant to get free if spending over £15 was nowhere to be seen. Overall we could not eat this food and made beans on toast instead. I would avoid

Delivered the wrong amount of rice and phone ringing out. Ordered 2 only 1 delivered. Quality of food is fine and delivery was on time. Just wrong amount and I now can't get in touch.

Ridiculous ! Order came back 5 mins after being ordered as Cancelled. So we ordered from elsewhere. Then about an hour later then turn up to deliver the cancelled order. We'd just finished eating. Avoid .......

1 hour 45 to arrive not great! Food not hot but was good. Think I would avoid Sat night next time. I put a request for Bbq sauce - did not happen. I did pay for curry sauce as there was no option on the app. Not full menu on scoffable app.

Everything cooked freshly and you can tell by its fragrant taste. My only downside is the curry sauce but hey Chinese so not specialise in this so I guess I'm being to Westernised with that comment.

Ordered this as a special treat as we don't often order Chinese but we were left completely disappointed. Ordered the Kung Po Chicken and I can safely say that after a year of living in China and ordering Kung Po chicken pretty much every lunch that it was not Kung Po Chicken and in fact tasted a lot more like black bean sauce than Kung Po. It was neither spicy or sweet. I understand that Chinese in Scotland is not the same as Chinese in China but there were no similarities at all. The spare ribs were dry and had more fat than anything else on them and the special fried rice was bland as well. The Chow mein was also bland and the vegetables were hard. Overall very disappointed with this meal and the quality of the food. Very expensive food as well. Will not be ordering from here again.

Worst meal ever ordered from Dragon House. I ordered mainly as I usually enjoy their lemon chicken. Was a bit dismayed at the delivery fee of £4.05, but decided to go ahead and order. The lemon chicken tasted different, the rice was sticky, barbeque spare ribs were tough, dry & grisly with little meat & no barbeque sauce, only a pool of oil at the bottom of the box & even the chips were soggy. Poor show Dragon House

Phoned to change to delivery as the bint put collection this was no issue as was paying cash. Delivery took ages and when I phoned over an hour later was told it would take 5-10 minutes 20 minutes later phone to be told it would be 2 minutes it arrived 10 minutes later. Chow Mein was average but crispy shredded chicken was class.

Curry was cold, rice was cold and the chips were warm. Poor quality.

Food was pleasantly surprisingly completely different then what we've had before. The spring rolls were heavily packed with chicken and vegetables as if they had made them there and then not like the skinny ones you see all the time. Ribs were the best part, great amount of meat in each piece and it fell off the bone you needed to pull or tear at it just to get a bit. Well priced as well this takeaway has definitely got some new regular customers

Order from here regularly but just been delivered the worst excuse of a chicken maryland consisting of chicken chips and a pineapple fritter????? After the most dissapointing meal last Sunday at the Livingston Inn I am asking myself if it is catching.

We have used the Dragon House for a few years now, friendly service and generally prompt delivery. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food - good portions - we tend to stick to our favorites but, the menu is extensive.Always a hit if we have visitors and don't want to cook!! Often free prawn crackers with larger orders!Food arrives well packed and in microwaveable containers - great if anything is left over for lunch the next day!
