Food ordered today was poor compared to previous visits. Rice was overcooked, wrong sauce on ribs and crispy shredded chicken was unchewable. Very disappointed.

Visited here Friday 10/06/20 at about 8pm. Ordered salt n pepper squid and 2 x Singapore noodles. Hardly a demanding order to prepare for us.Starting with the squid, it was literally like salty rubber. No taste other than salt and, I guess, similar to chewing your old running shoes. Singapore noodles - dry, tough as the squid and unable to chew and swallow. A total waste of money, but I’m more cheesed off that the chef/staff think it was ok to serve it to people. Do your self a favour, drive on by.

I collected my order from a 20 minute drive away because they don’t deliver then when I got home I opened it up and they gave me the wrong food, nobody repeated my order to me at any point to confirm when I rang up or collected. They then told me I would get the meal free if I came back, so I drove back to get the right meal and my refund and he changed his mind and refused to give me a refund. Wasted an hour of my night and 40 minutes round trip of petrol all for there terrible customer service and incompetent staff.

Dragon City was the first Chinese take away in this part of Rhos on Sea. Initially it offered really excellent food but we noticed a drop in the standard of the chicken in particular a year or so ago. We tried it again recently to see if it was a blip but sadly that aspect hasn't changed. This is a great shame as they have a great choice and are not mean with the portion sizes. There is competition now from two other Chinese take aways very near by, so I hope they get this right. I have not yet given up on them and will try again - the staff are great and I want it to work for them. The quality of the meat is important and so cutting corners here is false economy imo.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

After a busy week, my wife and I decided to have a Chinese takeaway, and we both agreed that Rhos-on-Sea's Dragon City would suit us nicely. Having been hit and miss over the years, this visit was definitely a great big ruddy MISS!At 5.30pm MrsE rang through with our order: lemon chicken & a hot chicken curry. After repeating it three times over the phone, and asking the Dragon City worker to repeat the order back to her, she was still a little doubtful because the person she'd spoken to could barely speak English. Okay, so as the chap on the phone said our two meals would be ready in ten minutes, we popped in after ten minutes, and handed over £11 to the quiet ginger lad behind the till. Then we waited. After another 15 minutes an Asian woman from behind the kitchen came through with our food. MrsE tried to confirm with the lady our order, and received indifferent nodding. We think she didn't actually understand what was asked. We took our small plastic bag home and found it contained a carton of lemon chicken and... a carton of nothing like curry. For those of you who are food aficionados and already shaking your heads towards my neanderthal-like palate, I know "curry" is a disgustingly British term, but you had one the other day, so shush!I also rang Dragon City, complaining that my meal was wrong, and wanted it changing for what was actually ordered. When I reappeared at the takeout after 10 minutes, the ginger lad spoke to a small Asian boy who came out to the front, the latter who took my cooling bag of unknown contents away. I heard some shouting, then ginge popped out and asked "do you still want the chips?" YES!!! AND A CHICKEN CURRY!!!When I finally got home and tucked into the curry, it was bland and very poor. I presume it had been cooked up in readiness for my marching arrival, because another curry from the same place days earlier had been better. The sauce was watery, the chicken wasn't good quality, it was full of frozen peas which had barely defrosted, and a couple of blacking, broken mushrooms were chucked in. The chips, however, were adequate, but cool.Summing up then, a pretty dismal experience overall. My fairer half did tell me (whilst I was driving back to change my horrid orange-coloured "meal" for the rubbish "chicken" curry I eventually got) that her lemon chicken was yummy. So then, Dragon City gets a point for more than utterly, utterly terrible.

I thought that Dragon City had gone down in quality over the last year or so but we visited again two weeks ago and I must say their lemon chicken and chips is back to how it used to be. We visited Dragon City tonight as our 'usual' was closed. We won't be going back. We both had meals with 'chicken' in and can honestly say it did not resemble any texture of chicken we have had in the past. We decided to give it another try after our last meal which was supposed to contain 'beef' but was definitely NOT beef. It was very badly reconstituted something or other. Thought this time that we couldn't go wrong with chicken.....how wrong we were. When I walked in there was a woman screaming something in ?Chinese in the back and a young boy playing football behind the counter?? Dragon City you used to be our favourite you've obviously changed hands but it's not for the better. Wouldn't recommend anyone buy from here. Sorry

Go to another chinese! Ordered from here only because the duck pancakes were cheaper! What a mistake! Took an hour to be delivered! When it was delivered we were missing our seaweed so they brought that round in five minutes which I thought was great! Until we opened the bag, it was seaweed in a ready meal packet that we had to Cook for five minutes! And by the taste of the other food that was all ready made to, chicken balls were burnt and chow mein was not what it should have been... Barely ate any of it... And when we were on holiday in the town I grew up in, what a disappointment! Waste of money!

We recently ordered from Dragon City, not having read the Trip Advisor reviews, and thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ate.I was surprised, when I came to write this review, how many people had had a bad experience. As the last review was from 5 months ago, I can only assume that either Dragon city has changed owners or that the existing owners have taken steps to improve the quality of their food. Either way, give it a chance!

It was THE place to get a Chinese meal. However, a sharp decline in taste and quality and service has crept in this year.Either being too salty or excess thickener and msg content has seen meals especially curries being bought and thrown away. But great news we tried it again this week and Bingo it was back to the good old days again.Excellent Quality and taste.

If I could give this take away less than one star I would. Awful food and even worse customer service. There are plenty of Chinese take aways in and around Rhos and I would recommend you head to one of those instead. Got home and the pork didn't look like any form of pig product I'd ever seen anywhere before. Then on dishing up the noodles we find a disgustingly long black hair wrapped around the food. At first they refused to give us a refund. After arguing on the phone for 20-minutes they said we could have the refund, but that we'd have to go back to collect it. Not great when you've got a two-year-old in bed upstairs. We asked if the delivery driver could bring it round, but conveniently their driver had "just finished for the night". So we head round for the refund, and then they start another argument stating the hair (which we'd taken with us in the food we'd found it in) wasn't theirs! When the members of the household are either blonde or have very short hair to have a person with long, dark hair say that the single long dark hair in the food isn't theirs is an insult. We only got our money back because someone else had come in to the store. Stay away.
