Dower House Coffee in Dacorum

Pleasant coffee shop on the high street with a lovely range of home made cakes. Allergies and special diets including gluten free and vegan well catered for. We really liked the carrot cake! Friendly and prompt service from staff. Its also an interesting adaptation of an old building.

Nice coffee shop in Berkhamsted high street. Pleasant service, good coffee and delicious pastries. But heavy dog petting and food hygiene are not aligned!

A friendly and vibrant cafe, great staff and a clear attention to detail on the quality of the food, treats and coffee. We really enjoyed our brunch here, the staff were really inviting and the food really tasty. Will certainly visit again.

What a great surprise to find such great fresh food in this attractive cafe. The toasted sandwich was so tasty and full and the cookies unbelievably good - all made on the premises apparently. Excellent coffee - a great place on the high street in Berkhamsted.

First visit as had heard good things but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. Staff were excellent and courteous and the place is great inside but the tea served was virtually undrinkable. The cookie chosen was just stodgy and was more like an undercooked muffin than a cookie. Seemed on the expensive side - £20+ for 4 drinks and two cakes! Afraid I wont be going back as there are other better quality and better value coffee houses in Berko

Nice place to stop for a drink, good coffee and drink selection but the toilets were in a bad way and unusable, I always find myself judging the general hygine of a place on this basis + tap water bottles available to serve yourself was warm. Think these are easy fixes for the business but definitely key to making it better here!

Popped in with my wife, had a lovely coffee and Lemon and Elderflower fudge cake, both were amazing. Sat in the window seat with the sun coming in, very relaxing.

I came here as I’d heard about how good the cakes were so was pleasantly surprised when the coffee matched the quality of the cakes. Too many cafes serve average coffee which is unforgivable. Although I don’t live locally, will definitely visit next time I’m in Berkhamsted

My favourites Leek and Bacon Toastie and Lemon and Elderflower Fudge cake. Coffee is delicious and staff super friendly. Will be back again soon.

After passing this lovely welcoming cafe, I finally visited with a friend. Wow ! What beautiful decor and ambiance 😊 The owner and staff were so friendly We had really lovely tasty smooth hot Lattes and a roasted veg wrap. Absolutely delicious. The cakes looked delicious. It’s definitely a must to visit Nearly opposite the Rex Cinema. Thank you Dower house. I will be back soon

Fab addition to Berkhamstead - gorgeous building, great coffee and amazing homemade cakes. I had a brownie and it was one of the best I’ve tried! Staff super friendly too. Highly recommended.

I visited here recently with a few friends and our children for a catch up and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The chocolate brownie went down a treat with my son whilst I enjoyed a decaf tea. Service was quick and what I ordered was reasonably priced. I did take note of the huge pastries that were on offer, I will definitely be trying those in the future! The place was very spacious and we even managed to nab ourselves a room just off the main room which we had to ourselves which was great for the children to have a little play without bothering the rest of the clientele. Overall I would definitely recommend and I will be returning when I am next in the area!

A great place to meet for coffee with mummy friends as there is plenty of room for buggies including a little side room which we had all to ourselves!
