Had a fish and chips special. Fish was slightly smaller than I am used to but was good quality. Loads of nice chips but not orange!Mushy peas were nice and thick not watery 😊Kebab specials are good too 👍😀

Got to say the for the price freshness of the food 10/10 .I triple cheese burger couldn't finish it .Next time I'm in Wolverhampton I well be revisting.

Popped in today with a respectable £30 order..... something smelled fishy from the beggining (no pun intended) member of staff who i presume was the owner, immediately began asking me if I'm local, hasn't seen me before etc, and then without me mentioning anything regarding my order, proceeded a very long spiel regarding how fresh the food was, and has had amazing feedback and so on and so fourth. Long story short the food was obviously very old when I got home, chips were terrible and tasted like they had been fried the night before, asked for a mixed kebab and just got donner, yet still got the charge for a mixed, prices seemed a quite high also (£7.40 for a mini fish???) - maybe there's a particular time in the day that the food is acceptable here, but it certainly wasn't at the time I went - try at your own risk I say.

Tryed this chippy tonight for the first time. And I must admit its the best I've ever had . the large cod just melts in your mouth and cooked to perfection. The chips are perfect . (I had unbattered) they were fresh and very tasty. My parents both had donor meat and chips and both commented how tasty it was . this is a family run business and you can just tell these people take pride in what they do . and there not stingy with there portions like every other chippy these days. If you want a traditional chippy tea then I highly recommend dovedale chippy I'd give 10 stars if I could . thanks again guys I'll see you next Friday . dean ..

Driving past and thourt I'd pop in. Little dated decore with standard fish and chip menu. The kebab I had was tasty 😋 seemed to have a steady flow of customers

Best fish and chips around, a lovely family team serving great fish and chips. Fish is always perfectly cooked and flakes apart. Chips done to perfection and chicken in pitta is a household hit! Their chips don't leave that greasy feel that often is a lingering after taste by many other chip shops.

Good quality food and the owner is really friendly. Will be back.

I used to come here many years ago. Friendly staff and clean. Easy parking and simple access. One problem. The price of a large fish and chips came in at £9.30 inc a curry sauce. Not as great as before but hey some people pay it. Regards

Excellent service and fantastic food- all round 5 star chippy. I'm happy to admit I'm an 'orange chip' girl at heart but Andreas and the friendly team at DC are slowly starting to persuade me over to the traditional 'off yellow' side. We started using the chip shop in the first lock down after we'd been let down by the poor service at our local and now we won't have kebabs from anywhere else. No request is too big or small for this family run chippy and being able to pre order for a set pick up time without the faff of using just eat etc is a real plus point. I only ever used to have a kebab very occasionally but there's just something about these that keeps bringing us back! Proper greek style, nice fresh salad and seasoned chicken meat. Not to mention the Halloumi!!!! (battered or grilled it's amazing) They're always coming up with new ideas too..on the rare occasions we haven't had a kebab their homemade curry and battered pigs in blankets have been amazing. Even the best take aways can slip up sometimes but we honestly haven't had a bad meal yet and always recommend them to our friends. If you want honest, fair priced, well cooked food that doesn't leave you rolling around with grease cramps after you've over indulged (we've all been there) then Dovedale chippy is the one.

Great food and service. Thought we'd try something different this week, I don't like greasy battered chips so wow I was really impressed with these! Really good piping hot chips and the fish was good too. Good price for the quality, will be back again.

Well what can I say about this chippy absolutely bang on fresh food tried their new curry today amazing if your unsure about a chippy ( cleanliness) ( food) you've no need to every worry its amazing the owners ain't to bad either 🤣🤣😘

Sadly have to leave a 1 star today, food is great and I've always come here, the lady serving had a mask on and the boss doing his bit aswell in these Covid times, but today another person was behind the counter sitting on a chair next to where the chips are wrapped up, he seemed to be taking telephone orders, what was alarming was he was coughing and everytime he did he removed his mask to do so, he raised his arm to his mouth when coughing but you are sitting and coughing right next to the serving area and wearing a mask below your nose is pointless, got home and on reflection put the chips in the bin, won't be going back.

Always great food and a warm welcome when I go here, fast and efficient service even with large orders. Our go to place for great food even if we have to travel, it’s worth it!

Love this chippy use it at least twice a week food is always hot and the taste is fantastic the owners are brill and love a bit of banter the staff are friendly and polite won't go anywhere else

The food in this chippy is amazing. I had the Pigs in Blankets and my wife had some freshly cooked Chicken when we placed our order. First class food and the staff were excellent. May thanks to the staff and keep up the good work.

Food was terrible and cold the donner meat freazing cold from the day before tbh just was not very nice food atall my colleagues had fish and said it wasn’t very good either
