I ordered a last minute birthday cake for my husband and it was better than I expected. Rachel who took my call was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease knowing I would have the cake on time. The cake was gorgeous, everyone at my husbands party commented on it. If your needing a cake I would definitely recommend here 🙂

Delicious buns, cakes, and drinks

I wanted to do a cake table for my son's birthday party. Nicola looked after me in store and helped me pick a really good selection of cakes, french fancies and buns. The children loved the cake table and there wasn't a crumb left! Top class!

Best sausage rolls I've ever had in my life!

Amazing service today when I came for our pancakes for Pancake Tuesday Nicola couldn’t be anymore accommodating, she has such a great work ethic smiled the whole time and had a conversation while getting what I needed, some shops these days you can’t even get a convo out of the server so massive thank you to Nicola, the smile and a conversation really helped lift the mood today ❤️

great bakery, the jammy joeys and iced diamonds are hard to beat

We got served by the lovely Chelsea yesterday and she was so patient and explained what all the different buns were ❤️ the cakes are the best I have ever tasted in my whole life and the shop itself is so beautiful, I can't wait to come back! Definitely worth the drive from Comber 🍰

Went to Ballymena as I was completely influenced by ciaren bartlett description shop is bright absolutely spotless and girls are so friendly.. got a couple of boxes to take back to belfast oh my word every single bun was amazing 1 box never made it home lol please please come to belfast 🙏

Every time I go to Ballymena I always bring home a cake from Dougies their cakes etc.are soo gooooood

We had ordered a cake for an 18th birthday and realised on the morning we hadn't put the order through, we went to the shop at 9.30am and Nicola could not have been more helpful we explained the situation and she told us to come back in an hour and she would have a cake ready for us. We collected the cake and it was perfect, Nicola saved the day for us i could not recommend Dougies Goodies highly enough 5 stars doesn't even do it justice.

Service today was appalling, I was served by a lady age around 45-55 with black hair she was very rude and had zero food hygiene. She was coughing on her hand and using the same hand to pack my food without gloves. She had no knowledge about the cakes and whether they were suitable for vegetarians. Never seen such disgraceful service before.

Amazing food and great new location

Been wanting to come here ever since seeing comedian Ciaran Bartlett raving about the place, and it was everything I hoped for!! I had a lemon fancy and it was delicious. Bought some cake for friends too and everything was so reasonably priced. The shop itself is stunning too! Can't wait to come back next time in NI 😍🍰

Came into Dougies on the way home from the Galgorm and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m still dreaming about those cake pops! Will be making it a monthly treat now to come up from Bangor for some sweet treats, worth the drive.

Had never heard of this place until the wife suggested I try it out. OMG. Absolutely unbelievable. Best buns I’ve ever had and really well priced too. Can’t wait to go back.

Best home bakery around. Hands down. Extensive range in the new premises. I won't recom anything as my list would take too long. Whatever you choose, it will be amazing. Love the pineapple creams and also the strawberry creams. And the iced diamonds and ....

Place in unbelievable. So much to choose from and the staff couldnt do enough. Parking can be a nightmare but that's not the shops fault

Unreal as expected, got greeted at the door despite it being really busy. We were assured we'd get served quickly and he was right! Got a few buns, defo Dougies, didn't disappoint!

Called into order anniversary cake for my parents, was attended to by a lovely lady, (didn't catch her name but is due to go on maternity leave on Friday😁), she was so so helpful and patient helping us to use the online ordering service, look forward to picking up the cake. We also purchased some buns while we were there absolutely gorgeous......

Fantastic bakery made cake with the pic I wanted of my partner wearing a abortion rights NI some other places wouldn't have made the cake I've added a pic of the aftermath of a cake frenzy because it was so tasty so very very tasty don't hesitate to to use online service 😋

Called in today and was appalled at the hike in prices since the shop moved to Church Street. Cannot fault the quality of the food but the big increase in prices has now rendered an old age pensioner unable to buy their favourite items . All I wanted to purchase was 6 sausage rolls , 3 pastry and a small cake for my weekend treat but could not justify spending £16.95 . Another customer lost 😕

Fantastic bakery , great value, cakes are delicious

First time in the new shop and very disappointed. Went in for sausage rolls and an iced layer cake. Sausage rolls are now indivually prepacked like you expect to find at a hot food counter in a petrol station not a home bakery. Each sausage roll in its own plastic packaging. So much for reducing our plastic. Also at £1.20 each that is very expensive. I know they are lovely sausage rolls but between price and plastic I decided against them. I did buy the iced layer cake and price has gone up significantly since the move to the new shop and thats ok price of everything is going up but the cake is also so much smaller. Unfortunately it will be a rare occasion I will be back for the cake again.

Called in on our way up the coast for some chocolate on chocolate on chocolate lol. It did not disappoint. Cakes were delicious and the sausage rolls were the nicest we have tasted. Lots of different cakes, so defo something for everyone. Staff are friendly and helpful, just gutted you won't be open on sunday when we are heading back 😢 will defo be back though 😁😁

Love the slice cakes and sausage rolls from here! New shop looks amazing, only issue was a bit tricky knowing where exactly to go to order and a lot of back and forth looking for what I wanted to buy, maybe needs a better ordering system but just a small thing! Wouldn't stop me getting the sausage rolls!

Found buns to be extremely sweet. However a large queue so it may just have been personal taste.

This is by far the best bakery.. I travel to Ballymena from Newtownabbey for a treat. They also sell amazing cakes that you can put photos/Happy Birthday etc on.. always very helpful when I arrive to order!

I called into Dougies Goodies yesterday for the first time. I got some buns & a cake which were so fresh and lovely. I also ordered 2 sausage rolls & a coffee to take away , the nicest sausage rolls Iv tasted! The girl in the shop was very helpful and packed everything up nicely even ask if I would like salt and sauce on my sausage rolls 😀 If in Ballymena I recommend a trip to Dougies Goodies you won’t be disappointed , I will be back next week 😄

Been getting my kids birthday cakes here for 14 years. Very friendly staff nothing is to much bother, Christine and Dougie are lovely people.

Wow, what an amazing bakery. Bought birthday cake, half chocolate and half plain. What an amazing job they did on decorating it and the taste, one of the best ever. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended.

The best bakery ive seen for a while. I will only give 4 stars for i believe there should LOYALTY DEALS. 6 PASTERY FOR PRICE OF FIVE OR 3 FOR A FIVER.IF YOU SPEND £10.00 OR MORE 2 FREE Susage Rolls. Thats only an idea.

We get all our cakes for special occasions here and it is def the best bakery in town. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

For 17yrs Dougies have been making my sons birthday cake. Had heard a few negative reports lately that their cakes weren’t as good anymore, but as I’ve always loved their cakes I went ahead and ordered my sons cake. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The cake looked beautiful as always but tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a couple of days, it was hard and extremely dry. Gutted to say the least, unfortunately I won’t be buying another cake from Dougies again.

I’ve bought two birthday cakes out of here this month.The cake is brilliant! The sponge, icing and cream are lovely. The price very reasonable and they can print wee photos on the cake! I ordered one of the cakes at 10am and I picked it up at 2pm... Writing, Liverpool logo and all! I’m over the moon.

Ordered a photo cake from Dougie’s for my dad’s 75th birthday after being introduced to this great place by my work colleagues. The cake was a hit with everyone and my dad loved it. It looked great and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend Dougie’s for value and service based on this experience.

Love this bakery. Would not buy a cake anywhere else. But me 2day and my daughter a month ago got bad reception from staff. My daughter got older wowan mine was young girl so it wasn't just 1 staff. Mr goodie sort your girls out on the till. Not the 1st person 2 say it. Love u loads would never put your food down cose of it x
