We came to Colchester Dough & Co as we had been given a £60 gift voucher from Dough & Co headquarters for 3 absolutely disgusting takeaway meals from Maldon Dough & Co shop. Burgers not cooked properly, didn't get dirty fries we ordered, just cold chips. Maldon manager refused to deal with us, so went to headquarters instead, who were very helpful. Vowed never again to go to Dough & Co in Maldon and so we ventured to Colchester one instead. Wow, what a complete difference I am glad to say. Service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, the garlic bread was divine, soooo good. The rest of our meals were really good too. Would definitely recommend Colchester Dough & Co and will definitely go there again! But don't bother going to Maldon Dough & Co unless you want food poisoning!

We placed an order on the website for delivery. After waiting quite some time we tried calling the store 13 times to check on our order. On the 14th call, over 2 hours after we ordered, the phone was answered and I asked to cancel because we had by this point ordered from elsewhere as the wait had been so long and our calls were unanswered. When I eventually managed to speak to a staff member on the phone, they tried to use excuses about blaming third party delivery apps despite the fact I told her twice we had ordered directly from their own website. I was told that my refund had been processed and would be with me in a maximum of 2 days, and that I we would have to wait for the delivery to be attempted and then refuse it. The delivery driver called around 15 minutes later to ask for help finding the house and I explained to him the situation so he said he would return the pizza to the shop. 2 days later I have not received my refund.

Great food, really great service and staff! Great pizza, flatbreads and pasta, and great prices and deals. Karolina is lovely and always welcoming!!! :)

My first visit to this chain. On a chilly night the dining room was a little draughty. Pizzas were good without being epic. My very hot one denoted by 2 chillis on the menu was spicy without being really hot. Portions were good size, pasta or calzone. Dessert range was denuded, so we passed on them. Service was friendly throughout.

Worst customer service ever, waiting over 1hr 20min for food. When challenged they said “it’s on its way” Only to get a call back from the restaurant to say that they only just found the ticket. What a shambles of a company. Avoid like the plague. Main stream dominos/Pizza Hut are far better and actually deliver.

We had an excellent night at Dough and Co Colchester. The food was superb and arrived in really great time, our server Karolina was lovely to deal with and answered any questions we had, and overall we had a wonderful night. We’ll definitely be going back for dinner soon!

I am not a fan of pizza. I ended up eating at Dough & Co because a group of people I was out with were going there. I loved the place. It was interesting, clean and had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The young waitress was a delight; friendly, chatty and helpful. The dough of their pizza was so delicious I could have eaten it without any topping. Since then I have revisited them for lunch, and had the same first class experience of both the food and the service.

Usually love Dough & Co but after placing a delivery online it’s been the worst experience I’ve ever had. my delivery time has well and truly been missed, nobody is answering the phone despite numerous attempts. Absolutely disgusted.

To start off, I am AMAZED by this place’s service, food and atmosphere. Starting off with the service, our waitress was a lovely lady named ‘Karolina’. My partner and I had ordered the “couples night in” deal. Which consists of 2 pizzas/pasta, 2 dips, 2 soft drinks and 1 side. Karolina, our waitress, was amazing in the way she gave us time to order, allowed us to order cocktails instead of beer/wine and her general interaction with us. She is lovely and is full of joy and made the general experience really enjoyable and for that I have to go back there again! Now following this, the food was phenomenal. I personally never had DOUGH&co, but my partner did and he knew what was coming. I was mind blown by my buffalo chicken pizza and with how it wasn’t too greasy, to thick and sickly, but rather it was flavourful, light and didn’t make me feel sick after. My partner really enjoyed his Spanish pizza and the smokiness from the pizza was delightful. The overall atmosphere was enjoyable and something I’m looking forward to return to!!

Dough and co is my go to takeaway! The service is always impeccable, especially when you order over the phone. Carolina is the sweetest over the phone! She is polite, officiant and helpful. She always get my order out on time and when it arrives it’s as fresh as when it was when it came out the oven. Overall she is the key to this service. I’ve ordered from different addresses and she always ensures she’s got the correct address for the drivers. Very thoughtful and because of this great service I will continue to use it as my go to takeaway!

A great authentic feeling and smelling restaurant, with plenty of seating space. It was easy to find something on the menu for everyone, food was delicious and seeing it being made, and into the Woodfired oven was great. A pizza each and two garlic breads to share between four was way more than enough, plus we were able to take the left over pizza home. Service was polite and friendly, not rushed or harassed. Very enjoyable, and as the restaurant is on taste card & meerkat meals, there is no doubt that we will go again. 2 x garlic bread, 4x pizza, 2 x coke & large bottle of sparkling water £48.

Ordered family meal deal delivery it arrived on time, I didn't read the reviews before as its pizza what can go wrong i thought, turns out everything worst pizzas I've ever eaten in my life. arrived well undercooked so had to put them in the oven to finish them off. every pizza was too salty not just a bit but very very very salty, the garlic bread did not taste of garlic at all, pasta also overly salty. dips we ordered 2 blue cheese and 2 garlic but did not know what was what as neither tasted of garlic or blue cheese. salad was ok.

Ok so we ordered ! Delivery time was a tad over. The pizza was salty ! The dough itself wasn’t nice the toppings was sparse. We tried to contact them direct yet the phone wasn’t being picked up. Plus I didn’t want to wait around for it to be rectified it’s a pizza. Not a gourmet complex meal. I think it’s back to making our own. Great idea but not authentic in my opinion. We ordered the family deal this evening, it was the first time we had tried Dough & Co and I'm sure we will reorder. The order wasn't exactly what we asked for but we weren't too worried, I think this may have been an error on the Deliveroo app. The gluten free pizza was not identified in any way which I think would be helpful. Even writing GF on the box would avoid confusion. However in this case it was obvious which one was mine. The pizza itself was delicious, the gf base was one of the best I've tried, it was still obviously gf but still good. The toppings were delicious, fresh, tasty and plenty of them. The pizza was big enough to save some for tomorrow's lunch which was a bonus.

Pizza's were lovely! Very good quality and flavour. Came out quick and hot, no complaints. We ordered the garlic bread and the dough triangles too... Well the dough triangles I don't quite see the point of? There is no description on the menu so thought we would try them. I wouldn't bother again, just dried out triangles of dough with no flavouring or anything! Pretty pointless! The garlic bread did not taste of garlic whatsoever, just bread topped with cheese... No flavour and really oily. Even our 4 year old daughter who loves garlic bread took one bite and declined anymore. Apart from the starters which we wouldn't bother with next time, the rest was nice and we would come back for the pizza's.

Delicious food, truly authentic italian pizza. Excellent quality in food and the atmosphere is very welcoming with matching service. Pleasant discovery when visiting Colchester. Will come back again to discover more Dough&Co dishes.

Ordered a takeaway last night 25th November over the phone. The lady who answered the phone ( I didn’t catch her name) was very friendly and polite. She called us about 1 hour later just to let us know that the pizza was on the way and she was sorry about the delay.Pizzas looked, smelt and tasted amazing. Bruschetta was very well seasoned and happy with portion size for the price. The Spanish one is my personal favourite and last night did not disappoint! Overall a very happy customer who will be returning again.

The food was tasty and came to us hot and fresh. I’d highly recommend the risotto! We had a lovely waiter. He was friendly and chatted to us about the food on the menu. He recommended the tiramisu for desert and that did not disappoint! All in all I had a nice time and came out with a smile on my face. 5/5 stars. I will definitely come back.

We ordered our pizza online, to be collected at 18.30. We got a confirmation email to say the order would be ready at 19.30 instead, an hour later than expected, which wasn’t great but sometimes it can’t be helped. At 18.50 we received a call to say our pizzas were ready to be collected and have been ready for 20 minutes. I mentioned the email we received stated 19.30 and that we had a 20 minute drive to get to the restaurant, all that was then said was “oh, just come and collect it”. On arrival we showed the email, to which we were told that “the website doesn’t take the daylight saving time (change of clocks) into consideration”. But there is no warning of this online.Both of the pizza’s were stone cold, our sides hadn’t been shut properly so all of the contents, including a lot of olive oil spilt out and ruined the bag as well as everything else in it.We received no apology for the mix up or poor customer service. Awful service, will not be using again. Looking at all of the other reviews, I advise others to avoid it too.

Time and again, we keep coming back to Dough & Co! Without question, they offer the best pizza in the area. We went there again today with our two sons (aged 7 and 5) and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The staff were friendly and the pizzas were excellent as always. There are safety measures in places so we felt comfortable being there and there is a QR code where you can check in with the NHS app.

We ordered three pizzas, 2 were OK, but my 'Very Spicy One' with chicken was awful. There were literally three sorry looking pieces of chicken on the entire pizza and the cheese hadn't melted, meaning there were hard lumps of cheese sitting on top. It obviously hadn't been made with care or cooked long enough.

We ordered delivery through just eat... really impressed with the pizzas, delicious crust and fresh tasty toppings. The veggie was especially good. Excellent garlic bread too. Superfood salad was nice but small given the price, and the drinks we ordered didn't arrive. Would order again!

Like I said we have had 4/5 pizzas from here and normally great. Firstly it was 30 minutes later than said. Obviously they were under pressure or under staffed and knocking out the pizzas as soon as possible. As they were under done,doughy and tepid at best when we opened boxes. Ordered a blue cheese dip,ended up with mayonnaise dip, again basics ,piss poor!! So ended up turning on the oven to finish off the pizza to finish the job and mixing blue cheese with said mayo from my fridge to get what we’d ordered. Went with my boyfriend after debating between the Italians in town and glad we made the right choice. Vegan pasta was delicious and I asked for extra chilli and it was perfect! I placed an order using the website. This order included The White One, which was said on the website to include Italian Ham, Mixed Mushrooms, and Garlic. The pizza delivered had no Italian Ham or Mixed Mushrooms, and very little if any Garlic. Unfortunately my wife had started to eat the pizza before realising the toppings were missing, so there was no point in phoning the restaurant to complain.I took up the matter using facebook messenger, and was told "unfortunately this is a typo on our website the white one is meant to come as it was sent to you, with 4 different cheeses and white sauce base". I think this a serious problem: the webpage is representing a pizza that is not what is actually delivered.

Best pizza in town by far especially for delivery. Staff are always so nice when they take your order. Girls night in deal is great value for money. Cannot recommend this place enough if you like proper, flavoursome and authentic pizzas.

They offer anchovies which is my personal Pizza favourite and not seen in enough places in my opinion. Pizza aas fresh and had a decent amount of toppings. Service was excellent. I didn't catch out waitresses name but she was a very pretty lady with long dark hair and tattoos, I've never seen a waitresses work so hard. Everything was delivered to the table super speedy, but without us feeling like we were being rushed. Will most definitely be returning!

We went there this evening - 5th sept. Throughly enjoyed the evening. Couldnt fault the place on anything - service was excellent as waiter was enthusiastic. Food was incredible - pizza cooked to perfection and blue cheese dip was amazing.
