Food always good. Love their offers and staff efficient and helpful.

Amazing service! Our waitress aga couldn’t have been more helpful (all the other staff seem incredibly helpful too!) the food was excellent! (Can’t say I’ve gone here and had a bad meal it’s all been SUBERB) Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

What has happened??? …we have not visited for a while and we where really looking forward to our usual lunches but no menu is dreadful portions are now tiny service without a smile or smiles from anyone toilet out of order. We will never visit again and never go to one in another town or city either especially paying over £40 for the experience. ( I only had tap water) After leaving we went to Marks for a meal deal as so hungry. BAD SHOW

The very average food did not match the good service & venue. Disappointing....

Went for breakfast and was pretty quiet for around 10:00am. We each had a coffee and Eggs Royal and eggs florentine. Coffee was nice and strong the waiter quick to take our order. Food didn't take too long to arrive either and I was quite surprised by the size of the portions as I ordered a extra sausage just encase. Needless to say the food was very tasty and will definitely return to try some dinner as I heard the pasta dishes are supposed to be really nice.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with exceptional service, Carluccio's is the place to be. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Jorge, you're in for a treat! I highly recommend Carluccio's and extend my sincere thanks to Jorge for making our afternoon truly special. We will undoubtedly be returning for more culinary delights in the future. Grazie Mille

I visited this place many times. Recently, I had there dinner with dessert. The place is more expensive than average restaurant, but the food is good. I was in Italy many times and it's more british-italian style food, but it's okay. Service is great. Atmosphere 5+. Nice place for late dinner or brunch.

This restaurant is consistently good. Today my daughter and I visited for lunch. After having an aperitif at GreyFriars (which has improved) we went to Carluccio's and had Arancini to start followed by confit duck. We also had a bottle of house red. All spot on.

Had a great time! The servers where great, particularly the Spanish sever who helped us pick out the best food, the saltimboca was great.

I had a delightful lunch with my friend at Fenwick Carluccio's. Although we weren't very hungry, we still ordered plenty of food and a bottle of white wine. The waitress was polite and friendly, and the service was fast even during a busy lunchtime. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you, Roxana (I hope I'm spelling it correctly). X

Visited today for lunch. Nice environment however the food was mediocre with items on the menu sold our at 2pm in the afternoon ( again it would seem as also mentioned by another reviewer previously). When I mentioned that it was a shame that the calamari had run out I was told 'well food does run out you know, the delivery hasn't been on time and we have been busy!". I thought this was substandard customer service and not how I expect to be spoken to as a customer! I wasn't expecting an apology or wasn't complaining, merely making conversation but the waitress attitude and response was very unprofessional.

Lovely place to spend a while, be it breakfast, morning coffee, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea! It's a great place to go ! Comfortable seating, trained, enthusiastic staff, and a great menu. Some lovely take home Italian goodies too! I always enjoy the experience here!

A wonderful little restaurant that I would recommend to anyone, the piccante I ordered was simply delicious and took no time at all! The brownie with pistachio ice cream was perfect and I couldn't be happier with the experience I had. Thank you Andrea, Mike and Natalia for a fantastic stay and for being so friendly. Lovely staff and wonderful food. We were a party of 9 (5 adults and 4 children) without a booking and staff were accommodative. Also staff were very attentive with a dairy allergy.

Really only went there for the liver pate but they had sold out...at 2pm! Strangely located in a department store looking out onto a multi storey car park. Food was first class but ashame not everything on the menu was available.

A lovely relaxed lunch in very pleasant surroundings. Food was excellent freshly prepared good sized portions. Choice of 2 or 3 course set menu or a La carte. We'll definitely be back when shopping in Colchester City Centre.

Really enjoyed the Opera Evening. As usual, Keni and the team ensure you have a great time. Good place to visit when you are in Colchester or enjoying some shopping at Fenwicks.

I had a coffee. Reasonable price, plus waiter service. Served on a tray with iced water. Much better than some of the more popular outlets.

Slightly disappointed on this visit. Ordered bread to start and that was forgotten so came with rhe main. Wife's chicken was on the dry side.

During a girls shopping trip to Colchester we went for lunch. It was very busy so, very glad we had booked ahead. Table ready and waiting; waitress was excellent, friendly and efficient. Food and beverages were amazing and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant, but book ahead to ensure table.

Went here as we were in Fenwicks. Really good service, very relaxed and friendly. I had the toast and jam and it was a very light breakfast. Would definitely use again.

We really like this restaurant and go quite often.

Loved the service and it was very baby friendly. The food was delicious too, I was able to order something for my little one from the kids menu as well. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we went, which was also nice. Our food came out relatively quickly. Only downside is that they close at 5.30 (same time as Fenwick) which is a bit early.

Quality food and nice environment

We love shopping in Fenwick and stopping for lunch. The staff are friendly and the right level of attentive, the food is delicious and it's a lovely break in the middle of the shopping trip. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time for an Opera night at Carluccio’s. We were treated to canapés, a glass of Prosecco and a 3 course Italian dinner. Really enjoyed the arias and show songs performed by the opera singers. Service was as usual to a high standard, all staff were helpful and prompt for drinks and food orders. Kenny and the team deserve a lot of praise for their organisation and hard work in making it a fun evening for all. Would highly recommend Carluccio’s and hoping to attend the next Opera night too!

Situated at the top of Fenwick's with great views over Colchester especially if you get a window seat. Service is always prompt and polite. Food is good and reasonably priced. We had a traditional breakfast which was really nice. Coffees have shrunk a bit since our last visit. Great place to eat.

A nice Italian restaurant in Colchester. Not very good food (salty bread, dried chicken, tasteless spaghetti), but price is reasonable. Only recommend mushroom soup for starters!!!

Superb breakfast! I never normally have scrambled eggs out as they’re never normally as good at home, these were silky and gorgeous. Top quality herby sausages, crispy pancetta and delicious mixed mushrooms. One of the best breakfasts served in Colchester and in my top all time breakfast list. Also when you add a hot drink and juice for £11.50 it’s good value for money. I actually had an extra sausage and smashed avocado and was stuffed. Yum will definitely go back!!

Pleasantly surprised at how good carluccios is, friendly and welcoming reception from manager and staff very attentive and efficient. Food on the two occasions delicious hot and well presented as are the cocktails. I would happily eat here on my visits to Colchester and would probably even make a special trip to do so. Five stars well done you have a great team

Went for a cuppa with my partner and it was so relaxing the staff, was friendly and didn't rush you. I also went with my daughter for cuppa she enjoyed it as well. Well worth a visit. It was reasonable priced as well too.

The food was brilliant, but not enough of it. £15 for risotto, very small portion, it could of been doubled to make a proper meal. Staff excellent, surroundings good.

Pleasantly surprised! There are a number of places to eat in Colchester so making a choice of where to go for lunch isn't easy. We decided to try Carluccio's as we hadn't been there in such a long time and as it's in Fenwicks, a little mooch around afterwards wouldn't hurt. Ambiance is nice, modern and clean with a range of places to sit depending on your party - we sat right next to the big windows which overlook a small part of the town. Our server was great - attentive, genuinely nice and efficient. Overall, the menu is great. There's variety which is key, so choosing isn't always the easiest. My party decided to go for a variety of smaller plates with sides and salads. The picture below is of the focaccia with burrata and n'duja - stunning! Also, being a little fancy, we tried a few of their mocktails - a perfect lunchtime aperitif. Definitely will pop back as the breakfast menu and selection of sweet treats looked 👌🏻
