Ordered a kebab in Nan £12.65… so small and hardly any meat! Sorry but will not be ordering again.

twice now weve ordered and the food was poor, tasted like it was leftovers even though i ordered at 6.30 in the evening, dosthill food was amazing to this point now im just gutted cos there aint another chippy as good as them in tamworth so i guess its a break for a while until things go back to normal you all will be missed x

We use dosthill fish bar whenever we have a party or event for food. We order many pizzas annd sides and they are always so good. Such friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend them to anyone!

Chicken was not cooked blood can be seen in the photo and the beef and onion pasties had gone off smelt of fish. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

driver got lost the other side of amington in bolehall, instead of glascote. food was luke warm by the time it arrived.

Ordered via their app for collection. Ordered kebab with garlic mayo and lemon juice and these were missing but issue quickly snd kindly resolved. Tasty masala fish kebab in naan

food was perfect to be honest, only problem we had was we ordered a chinese curry sauce and a chippy curry sauce with our meals and they were that thin it was basically two glasses of water which was a shame cos it put a downer on two excellent meals

Food was amazing from Dosthill fish bar, however just eat completely let us down. There were apparently no drivers to bring our food and after 2 and a half hours of waiting, we had to go and collect it ourselves, even though we had paid for delivery and haven’t had this refunded. So disappointing.

When we first used this chip shop, everything was brilliant, but the last few visits, chips & scallops were under cooked or not cooked at all. Pizzas, though, 10/10 better than dominoes! Kebabs 9/10 as well.

Usually a great takeaway. I have ordered from there many times over the years however today I was not happy at all. The food was delivered half an hour late, it arrived stone cold and the food was burnt. The naan bread was so overcooked it was burnt in places and rock solid and in other places it was like rubber that you couldn't even cut through with a bread knife let alone with your teeth. The meat inside was also burnt to the point where the outer edges were almost like charcoal and all we could taste was burn. Usually we really enjoy this takeaway and order the same meal often but today it was just not up to quality so I have requested a refund. I will not be ordering on the weekend again and if that is going to be the quality of the food from now on I won't be ordering from there again.

Food was good but they forgot the curry sauce I paid for. Not really worth kicking off about £2 of sauce, but please keep an eye on the details in the future :)

Awful chippy, I understand the cost of living. But you don’t charge more money and get less food that’s not how it works… I ordered a large mixed meat and chips but asked for only donner meat and tikka. A sausage and a curry sauce. The chips were dry as a bone with no salt or vinegar. The donner meat had been hit by the cost of living with how thin it was. The tikka was okay but bland. The sausage was dry and tasteless. The curry sauce cost £1.95 and was tiny! I’m not stingey by any means but when I order and it comes to £15 including delivery so let’s say £12 for the actual food (look at the images) I could get more for my money at other chippys and more substance paying and getting an actual large price for my food. First time I’ve tried it and it’s the last. After reading another review from 4 weeks ago….I’ll be awaiting a dreaded toilet trip to regret my life decisions I’ve made tonight

This food is a joke, the portion size is tiny for a large. I ordered mixed meat and chips, curry sauce and a regular sausage. The donner meat is wafer thin to save money. The tikka is nice. The chips weren’t even salt or vinegared and were dry as a bone considering they’ve been deep fat fried, the curry sauce cost £1.95 and was tiny and was about 70% full. The sausage was also dry and tasteless. I’m never ordering from here again. What a waste of money

I love this chippy. Best one in Tamworth I would say.

Honestly one of the best chippys I’ve ever had the Masala fish kebab was out of this world I would highly recommend the masala fish. Chips were warm and seasoned with the right amount of salt and vinegar. Really friendly staff. The food here really makes my Saturday night epic.

This is the second time we have ordered from here and the food is always great, it’s still warm, good size portions and always tastes nice. I can’t fault it and would highly recommend anyone who hasn’t tried here yet to give it ago 👍🏻

Decided to try this place for the first time. What a mistake, ordered 2 small doner meat and chips for myself and my wife. We had excruciating stomach pains and diarrhea during the night and next day. Never again :(

My donner meat and chips was cold, my sons sausage and chips were cold, he didn’t receive his drink in his order, only amount that just eat could refund was £5.88 absolute joke

All the stuff felt like they had been air dried, probably yesterday's leftovers. The size of the chips compared with the price is not good.

Popped in just before closing, expecting to get whatever was left, but the food was great. The fish was cooked fresh and was very tasty, great chios too

Having had a lot of orders from this chip shop over the last few months, food as been excellent. But tonight was not good at all, the fish I had the batter was doughy was not cooked properly, chips were very dry and hard, also my husband had the kebab meat, that is usually tasty, but tonight it was dried up and no taste. Sorry but won't be using again, unfortunate because they used to be great.

Very expensive, over £13 for fish and chips, over an hour to deliver. Fish was nice but batter not cooked, very soggy, and chips were very greasy. Waste of money

Ordered 2x kebabs, one large & one small. Both were the same size. One of them had sauce missing. Very little meat, and barely warm. Very disappointed

Said on menu that healthy options came with chips and can of pop. Just a tub of chicken pieces came. Phoned up to be told no, only the wrap options come with chips & can. I suggested they may like to take it off their menu as misleading but they still haven't.

Saveloys tasted like water chips looked & tasted like yesterdays chips burger was horrid chicken kebab meat was the only ok food and the can of pop was good

Quality was as good as expected again... Unfortunately there was an issue this time... But... It was not the chippys fault, it was the incompetent justeat driver, our pizza had been stored sideways so once it arrived, it was all squashed up one side of the box... Not the restaurants fault though.

Just the best food and great people. Well here is an update, the food is better, the service is better and the overall experience is Great. The staff are so helpful, kind and considerate. Well done Dosthill Fish Bar. There's also a diverse menu, Pizzas are amazing value, Eastern menu is wonderful and of course the fish is simply delightful. Been Back today and the place is still fantastic, keep up the good work.

Visited this evening ordered three kebabs, portions were so small, hardly any meat in them at all and just a very small amount of salad, portion of chips again small more like a cone size. This used to be a good chippy with decent food. Wont use again, tasteless over priced, very small portions

SEP 2022 - The 3 Piece chicken and chips meal is amazing. It's like KFC chicken but better and with better chips. Well worth trying! An amazing Fish and Chip shop that does pizza, and Indian snacks but now is packaged, all made there fresh. I had large fish and chips and portion was massive, so good value for money. Pages of staff and good was cooked fresh. I'll add more when tried a week day too. Pizza looked amazing to work the dough on the side being made into pizza bases. Over all great local chip shop.

Amazing fish and chips. By far the very best I have ever eaten. Reminded me of seaside fresh fish and chips. The fish was perfect, I requested the batter to be crispy and it was. Chips tasted great straight out of the fryer. Lovely and hot. No way could I fault it. Delivery was fast , and a lovely gentleman delivered them. it was so refreshing to see a happy face even though it was raining. I paid £21.40 for lg fish and normal chips and one curry sauce. The fish was as small as a children's .meal and very dry?? The chips are like thay we're cooked dinner time and served on the night. See photos

Went in with a large order, expecting it to take a long time, it was done in around 5 minutes, great service and tasted amazing ! People in there are polite, really recommend!

Ordered three meals to take home, waited 12 minutes. The fish and regular chips with mushy peas was an absolute joke. I don’t know what the fish was, but it was tiny, sloppy and well over battered. The “mushy” peas were little hard bullets in a green sauce, a real joke. The chips were fine, but a lot less of them in a box. This place has got downhill since I first used it 5 years ago!! Nearly £25.00 for two mini meals and one regular, ripped off.

OMG I didn't think fish n chips could be improved but I was wrong. Meet Masala Cod! Fried in a spicy coating that is dry (not greasy like batter). Lovely homemade chips, cheerful friendly service and fresh crispy salad with mint yoghurt. Yum!
