I will get the "not so good" out of the way: there was no collection of names, etc, for contact tracing and the one member of staff we met never wore a mask.On the good side: the customers all put their face coverings on when not eating or drinking and were well spaced out. There was a small menu and some specials; we both had the chicken and bacon garlic wrap. They came with a side salad and coleslaw. The food was delicious and very filling. Good value at only £6 each.We will come again for the food , but not for the COVID-19 measures.

I really can’t fault Doras and have been going here for years. You are always greeted with a smile from the staff as soon as you enter and there is a real friendly family atmosphere. They are really adhering to the social distancing measures- loads of spaced out outdoor seating which is great and free parking which is even better because it’s such a nightmare venturing into the town centre! Food is always delicious and so fresh. I know Zoe bakes all her own stuff- from the scones to the traybakes. And you can definitely tell! Soooo good and a really good range. Hot food is also lovely and there are veggie options too! Big portions and great value for money. When I go elsewhere I always end up wishing I went to Doras. If you are looking for good quality, straight up home cooking this is your place!

Always loved visiting Dora’s with my mum and partner most weeks. Never had any problems with food or service, in fact it was always great - until our last visit. We had ordered our food at the counter and sat down at table. The floor was dirty. Our order must have been one of the last out before the kitchen closed as my panini was just about warm. It seemed as if they just wanted cleared up quickly. One member of staff made a statement to us about not wearing masks. Bearing in mind we were still drinking our cups of tea and still eating our buns. It made us feel very anxious sitting in Dora’s we had actually left because of that. Because of this i am unsure if/when we will return..it’s a real shame as Dora’s was one of my favourite places for a bite to eat.

I have been many times to Dora's, the penultimate time being last summer. This time, we sat outside which was nice. Previously, the menu choice for lunch has been great. They seemed to have changed the menu from last year with fewer, more basic choices. We all got the chilli chicken panini and toasties. The panini was mediocre, and not crispy as a panini should be. Disappointing food choice and taste.

Don’t like what they have done with the tea room. No longer a tea room feel about it. Very bare and horrible wallpaper. Service has also gone down hill and the food is not as good as it used to be. What has happened? I’m afraid Dora’s didn’t live up to usual standard. Have redecorated and new theme of palm leaf wallpaper and stark grey walls have removed cosy cottage ambience. Out of 5 crockery items, 3 had massive chips and the food was well below their normal standard, very greasy and burned ham and cheese toastie with no cheese, and burned tasting tea! How? Same for French toast, very thin, greasy, toasted bread.

Went here with friends for lunch through the week. It was absolutely packed and the car park was bunged also. The place was swarmed with wasps which during our lunch we had to get up from the table several times to get them away. There was also a misunderstanding with staff members over an incident which had nothing to do with us and i didnt like how they assumed it was to do with us. The food was ok and service was slow due to it being so busy. Wouldnt be in a rush back to be honest

This is a hidden gem. Such a quaint little place with such a great menu choice for both breakfast and lunch. Freshly baked cakes and tray bakes too. Staff are very friendly and because we couldn’t decide what to order at the counter from the menu we were asked if we would like to take a menu to the table and browse it first. We loved the traditional pink teapot and chunky teacups. This is definitely a great place and good for young children with the adjoining play area. Outdoor seating is also available if you’d like to bring your doggies. Water bowl awaits them and a sausage to order! We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you!

Have been here a number of times. Usually really busy and having to wait for a free table. This time something had changed. They have changed the beautiful decor! Gone is the beautiful wallpaper and pastel colours. Now it’s grey with a hideous leaf print wallpaper. It’s just so cold, dull, depressing and not homely anymore. Complete lost its personality! After 24 hours of travelling and another five from Dublin, and exhausted. As soon as we arrived, the owner took us over to Dora's, a warm, inviting very pretty place, and gave us a cup of tea and a cake each - what a wonderful welcome! Ugh!, God only knows where his hands had been as there is a children's play area outside. I ordered frys when I returned to my table I noticed they were more expensive than what the price was on the menu. On asking why I was told that is the price on the till !!. I had a chicken and avocado bagel and added brie which I would have expected to be melted instead of a big slap sitting to the side. We also had a bacon bagel which was completely black and had been cremated! Another member of the party had the tomato soup which was simply a tin of plum tomatoes heated and tasted of nothing else served with shop bought wheaten. Along with 2 coke this came to £21 which I thought was not close to reflecting the quality of the food. The place was also packed which I can only assume is to do with the quaint surroundings and not the food.

Called here as a recommendation and we weren't disappointed! Lovely home made cakes, tray bakes the only problem was what to choose!! We were late so scones had sold out!! I had lovely fruit tea and a chocolate tray bake, my husband had a rather large slice of fresh cream strawberry sponge!! All delicious! Will definitely call again. Loved the decor!

Visited recently. Loved the decor of this Quirky little coffee shop. All the mis match tables & chairs & coloured wood look tiled floor. Good coffee but selection of tray bakes poor, for mid afternoon on a bank holiday weekend. Maybe they had been busier than expected. Very friendly staff.

This little gem is perfect for a lovely treat. We had lunch which was delicious and very reasonably priced and then we succumbed to the tasty desserts that were on offer. Wow what a portion, and so delicious you don't want to share. Will definitely be back. Very soon

Excellent food which was reasonably priced and very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, our lunch was completely ruined by unsupervised, noisy children! Impossible to hold a conversation or eat our lovely food in comfort. Also, people were being served and having to stand while holding trays as there weren't enough seats.

Doras is always a pleasure to go to. We called down last week and had a beautiful lunch for a reasonable price. The staff are always very friendly and chatty. Theres not a lot of room in the cafe so go down early to avoid disappointment. Great Place.

This was our 1st visit here and boy did we enjoy it. I had a tartlet with chicken sundried tomatoes with a wonderful variety of salads on my place. Wow the fresh flavours were amazing. I told one of the ladies how wonderful it was. We finished with a lovely pot of tea and some fresh cream strawberry sponge beautiful. I wish we lived closer. A little hem just past the Magherabouy Hotel.

Quaint, clean & friendly with lots of homemade tray bakes & cakes that looked really nice. However, 2 of us tried the avocado breakfasts. The mashed avocado was brownie green in colour. But more brown. I expect the bad bits of an avocado to be cut out not mashed into the fresh part. Disgusting really. The poached eggs were nice but were barely warm. Disappointing.

From first opening the door to Dora's I loved the place! Such beautiful and unusual furniture - I loved the pastel and mis-matched theme! Already blown away by such an efficient use of a small space, I then saw the size of the cakes for sale and the mountain of buns and scones Dora's had on offer! The girl behind the counter was super-friendly, talked through the menu with me and took my order with a smile. I was surprised at how cheap the meal was, considering I had a coffee, chilli chicken wrap and a bun! Sat down with my friends and the food came shortly after, also served with a smile and a "Enjoy your meal". Overall a beautiful place which I would recommend to anyone and everyone who enjoys good coffee and great food.

Daily visitor to this establishment. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are wonderful as are the homemade treats on offer. The hot food is also remarkable and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend Dora's Tearoom to anyone in the area.

We have visited DORAS since it opened a year ago on at least a weekly basis. Just love the quirky decor, the wonderful friendly staff, and the food were do you start: a full lunch or just a coffee and a traybake or a slice of cake( so many to choose from) all homemade and heavenly. I can't rate DORAS too highly and am happy to wait if it's busy. There is seating outside in the good weather, with a great play area and ample parking.

Upon arriving the staff were quite abrupt and obnoxious, they definitely don't believe in 'service with a smile'. This to start with was off putting. However trying to put this aside, the selection of goods was not as i would have thought, having eaten in other tea rooms etc the selection was just not 'up there'. Also the service was slow, again with disgruntled staff who clearly would have preferred to have been else-where. The decor was tasteful but this did not excuse the tense atmosphere (from staff) whilst i was there. I suggest if coming to visit here certainly bring something warm as there wasn't a lot of heat going to waste (perhaps it was this that was affecting the staff!)The prices were most certainly not value for money, as our tea was cold upon serving, and my scone was certainly not baked freshly that morning! The lady with me was also far from impressed with hers but judging by the unpleasant lady serving, we did not dare to ask for a pot of tea that was actually warm enough to drink! The staff seem to have a great way of making you feel unwelcome as soon as you walk through the door, the look that we were given said it all. I feel Dora's is most certainly over-rated & after the experience i had i can assure anyone who asks that we will never be back again. It was disappointment at its' finest for sure.

I visited Dora's with my friends and it's just an absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful China and a glorious decor, not to mention the food.. It evidently specialises in sweet goods, amazing cakes and tray bakes to suit everyone. I was in the mood for something a little heavier so I choose a toasted sandwich, not expecting much, it was laid out on a beautiful platter and with an unexpected bowl of goodies on the side. The service was very pleasant, a highly underrated spot on the north coast!!

We're staying at Ashlea Cottages, so Dora's is a mere 20 yards from our door. What a lucky family we are! When we first arrived we popped in for a coffee and a cake, and the cake was so wonderful, we've been buying a couple of "takeaway" slices every day and bringing them back to our cottage, to enjoy at our leisure. Each day there are different cakes: so far we've enjoyed Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, lemon sponge, chocolate and orange, pure chocolate... Choosing is always a challenge! The cakes are always perfectly baked, soft and smooth, and the icing... mmmm!! We haven't eaten any of the breakfast or lunch options at Dora's, but we did see some meals being carried out of the kitchen on our first day, and they looked wonderful. If you include the friendly and attentive service, and the quirky decor, this really is a very special tearoom!
