A true east end staple and a proper hidden gem. Best breakfast sandwiches you'll find in London. Have been going regularly for 5+ years and hope to continue going for many more.

This is a very understated gem. The sandwiches live up to the name doorsteps. The staff are very welcoming. The customers are friendly.

Just around the corner from my office so, a great little cafe to grab breakfast or lunch....the roast beef sandwich is always beautifully done and the staff are just warm, lovely and good fun

The sandwiches are traditional (with the possible exception of the bacon, bubble and beetroot), tasty and cheap. There is a small seated area, which is clean and pleasant. The staff are friendly and helpful. A little gem.

£3.50 sausage egg bacon roll. Looked at sandwiches and understand why it's called doorsteps. Not sure about the bacon bubble beetroot combo. Worth a visit if passing. Ladies know their football too.

Such a wonderful place I’ve found. I am always looking for locally owned food spots run by good people. My first weekend in London and received the warmest welcome by the lovely ladies working here as well as the owner who stopped by on my way out. I will be back before I continue on my travels :)

Staff are fantastic, always a warm welcome. Food is prepared in front of you to order. And, very reasonably priced. Great bit of grub.

Banging. Had a sausage and bacon sarnie. White thick cut bread with poppy seeds was top notch. Fillings were decent quality. Don't pass up on the OJ in a glass bottle either. Class. Keep it up girls!

Just eaten at this place. It’s great! Thick crusty white bread with any breakfast filling you could want. Good quality ingredients that are well cooked. Thumbs up from me!
