Don Alberto's in Wigan

Lovely food, although not alot of vegetarian options, I would of liked to seen roast veg options like a nice risotto (not mushroom) or lasagne. I was impressed with the service very attentive but did feel more time between courses would of been nice. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

As this was our first visit, we decided to try the Early Bird Menu (5-6pm, Tue-Fri) of three courses for £26.85 per person and a bottle of house red wine £19.95. The food was absolutely delicious and good portion sizes. I initially thought the price for the house red wine was a little expensive. However, it was very good. The staff were very polite and attentive and we weren't rushed at all. We will definitely be going back.

Went there with work mates, had some medium rare Rib Eye steak which was simply beautiful, cooked perfectly how I like them, full of flavour! Definitely will come again! Restaurant itself was nice and clean, polite and helpful staff with nice atmosphere. Semplicemente Bellissimo!

First visit, lunchtime, very impressed very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed our meal just found my main a little salty but that's down to personal taste. A little quiet for a Friday I was surprised it wasn't a little busier. Nice ambience, music on but at a nice volume so you can have a conversation. I would recommend without hesitation. However, having family members who are vegetarian I noticed that there isn't much choice on the menu. Maybe worth checking if you plan a visit that there is something to suit your taste.

Very underwhelming experience. I can't judge the food as we didn't even get that far. Waited over 20 mins to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Staff sat us in a corner and ignored us. Restaurant wasn't busy and staff looked bored at times. Ended up leaving, hope this isn't the norm for this place. Apparently walking into a restaurant for food is asking for too much.

Really nice Italian. Food very good quality and service was great. We all enjoyed our meal here and will go again.

Very very lovely food! Amazing place near center of Leigh. Easy free parking As a local Italian it is really nice recommend the lasagna with the garlic bread starter (the size of the starter needs at least 2 more like 3). Lovely staff and authentic service. Wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. One of the best Italians outside of Italy

The atmosphere in here is lovely but the food and service was a complete miss for me. The lasagna was really thick and didn’t taste like anything and my pizza was soaking wet, the whole thing just flopped. As well as me and my partner asking for the bill serval times and being ignored 💀

Absolutely was a lovely date night dinner. We will be back regularly!

Food was excellent as always. Need more staff as the waitress was very busy, ordered a drink but it never turned up to the table, but was on the bill. Waited 20 minutes for the bill after asking. Ended up going to the bar to pay as the waitress was busy elsewhere.

Fabulous, friendly service from staff and owner. The food quality is outstanding and generous portion sizes. The restaurant itself is wonderfully decorated with an ambience that immediately puts you at ease. Feels strange to have this place in Leigh because you feel like you're a world away when you're there.

Called in for dinner with my little girl after visiting pennington flash. Don’t live local so never been before but can honestly say I’m glad we went here. Great food and the staff brilliant especially with my 9 year old daughter who said she wanted to go back even before the food came out. Will definitely be coming back next time we are anywhere near Leigh I would probably drive from Bury just for the garlic bread with cheese 👍

Went there for my wifes birthday last night the food was excellent couldn't fault the service but some restaurant's are a bit stuffy but the staff here are really warm and friendly would highly recommend and will definitely be back

We have been coming here for a few years and came tonight for a birthday meal. The service was shocking !! They sent out a meal wrong so we sent it back, could see the chef had made the new one and it was just on the side waiting to be brought out to us, All servers just ignored it and ignored the chef ringing the bell and telling them to take it to us. Told the waiter who just shrugged his shoulders and 15 mins later it finally got brought over when all other meals had gone cold waiting. They knew this yet didn’t apologise and still charged for it. Ruined the meal that was just under £100 for 2 adults 2 kids. Won’t return !!!!!

My 1st visit as I live in cleveleys. Mothers day meal with family that live near there. Food and service was fantastic. All being well will be another family meal there again soon

Absolutely 💯 the Managers and staff were fantastic 👏 the food my husband and myself had was the very best, cooked brilliantly, my husband had meatballs for his main course which he said were the best he'd ever had!,I had Seabass which was cooked superbly, everybody was so attentive but not over the top, we would definitely recommend this lovely place,and we will be back very soon! A great choice of food on the menu, very tasty and well-presented with very fresh ingredients. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived (6.30pm), but despite this we were very quickly seated and drinks order taken. We needed time to decide on food, but once we ordered we were very surprised how quickly it arrived. I decided on a couple of starters as a main course, plus a side order of Fried Courgette. Had I known how large the servings were I would have only opted for a side salad rather than the courgette (which was delicious!). I thoroughly enjoyed the Calamari Fritti, but had to share both the Bruschetta Pomodoro and the Courgette, although they were also excellent. The serving staff were very attentive and efficient despite the virtually full restaurant. We will be back again & my husband looks forward to trying more dishes on the menu.

Again great food and service, we like this italian as we keep trying different dishes and have not been disappointed yet.

Visited for dinner, we enjoyed starters, mains and desserts. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive. All in all we had a wonderful evening, I would recommend visiting the restaurant.

We had a beautiful dining experience with the most friendliest of staff. the food is delicious, highly recommend the goats cheese pastry with salad! the penne and linguine con gambas are also divine. I want to especially thank Pepe and Miguel for making us feel special and welcome and for accommodating our dietary needs. Amazing selection of desserts! If I ever find myself in Leigh again, I shall visit this restaurant again.

We often call here for a family meal, the pizza and garlic bread are exceptional, the kids love it. Last night however we went kiddie free. My other half had the lasagne, I had the spinich and ricotta cannelloni and we shared a garlic bread and a mixed salad. It was absolutely stunning! So tasty and just the right amount.The atmosphere was great, the service was great 👌 would highly recommend 👍

Really good restaurant. I had a three course meal around £30. Portion size was good, very filling! Staff are amazing and professional. Only criticism is that the room is dimly lit, kinda hard to see the menu and food.

The staff here a pretty amazing! They interact with the customers on a personal level like you've been mates for years. The fact that they serve amazing food as well makes it definitely worth a visit and many more return visits. Thank you so much for your hospitality on 4th November and for the candle lit profiteroles whilst singing happy birthday to myself and my twin sister which was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated. All of you keep being you because you're ace!!!!

We went for our grandsons 21st meal. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, some of our party had starters, we had a variety of dishes including pizzas and pastas, all very very good and tasty. I had one of the chicken dishes, the sauce was soooo good, as were the lovely veg and potatoes . They also provided gluten free for our other grandson and gave him ice cream as he couldn't have the cake They kindly provided plates and a knife for the cake, which some restaurants don't. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. We live too far away to go regularly but will return when visiting again.

Visited for Dinner at around 6:30pm. The place was not too busy. we were seated right in front of the open kitchen. I love watching the chefs putting meals together. Even while they were toiling away, there was a visible passion for the food they were preparing. Our order: Starters: BRUSCHETTA FUNGHI BRUSCHETTA DON ALBERTO’S CALAMARI FRITTI Mains: LINGUINE PESCATORE T-BONE STEAK - WIth Peppercorn sauce on the side, which I did not touch becaue the meat was so flavourful and cooked just the way I like it Medium-Rare. FILETTO ROSSINI Desert & Drinks: Cannoli Tiramisu Lemonade Valpolicella Classico 2021

I had the most amazing steak! I couldn’t believe the flavour it was cooked to perfection. Honestly 20 out of 10 ! The staff were all amazing and made sure that everything was ok and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you all so much will definitely be returning (Sorry the picture doesn’t justify the flavour)

We had Bruschetta pomodoro, Bruschetta Don Alberto's and Pate Don Alberto's which is homemade chicken liver pate with cranberry sauce as starters. They were all very refreshing and the liver pate was really good! I tried Risotto Frutti Di Mare, mixed seafood risotto last time, so this time I tried Ravioli Aragosta, ravioli stuffed with lobster in creamy tomato sauce with prawns, didn't taste much lobster, but the sauce with prawns is outstanding! Linguine Amatriciana, pasta with king prawns with white wine butter sauce, Risotto Frutti Di Mare are my favourite! Highly recommended! Deserts were all sold out, so next time!
