Domino's Pizza - Plymouth - City Centre in Plymouth

Not good. Awful service waited 2 hours

Ordered our pizzas at 2:23pm, it is now 3:51pm and pizzas have not even left their store yet. I've called twice and have been told this is due to a lack of delivery drivers. I am not blaming the people who I talked to on the phone as they were kind, gave me a straight answer and are only doing what they've been told to do. I'm blaming whoever thinks its a good idea to keep delivery services turned on when you have a busy store and only 3 drivers. Please rethink how you run this store as it's your poor employees that get the brunt of the complaints when they've done nothing wrong.

Rude to customers saying food delivered when hasn't been

GREAT STAFF!!!!! they were actually polite which is just nice sometimes. Definitely recommend the lasagna pizza!!! Wasn't waiting long either.

Delivery needs sorting turns up smashed to pieces or stone cold, same every time I order, takes the mick with the prices they charge then to add an extra insult they ask if you want to tip the delivery driver, surely these people are already on a wage.

Long wait, very cold, driver was too far away, very difficult to find out.

First time going into domino's pizza in about 3yrs as usally get delivered once every 6mnths. First time in this store. Walked in the staff were doing alot of nothing, and didn't seem bothered to welcome us in or even smile and the atmosphere was dire. Didn't feel welcomed at all! I asked what pizzas I could order and was given a menu. In the top right hand corner it said BOGOF any size pizza..ordered a large & was asked what crust I wanted. Didn't realise they charge nearly an extra £3 for a cheese stuffed, wasn't told this. Got home, pizza was terrible. Not much topping even though 4 toppings were ordered, although quite a bit of sausage was thrown on. Was very dry too.. looked at my online banking & had been charged £28.79..NEARLY £30 FOR A LARGE PIZZA? called them up and yes this is the right amount! The service I recieved was good hence the 5 🌟 but everything else? Hell no..would never go back there again..£30 for a pizza??

Awful service have been waiting over 2 hours for our order due to the delivery driver not knocking on the door and it being sent back to the shop rang and ask why this happened they said they try to call if no answer (which we did answer a Belfast number which they wasn’t speaking and putting the phone down) they return straight to store with out knocking on the door which isnt that the point in a delivery! Now have to wait a further 20 minutes for a freezing cold meal as they are refusing to refund us our money Will never order from here again

I like the thought of dominoes but the staff at this place ruins the business. The amount of disrespect. The staff needs to learn some manners. As for the food they have no customer care whatsoever.

My brother started as a delivery driver this week and had been on the job for the 1st day driving himself, having shadowed the day before. He comes home to tell me that another team leader shouted at him and launched a metal tray at his head calling him useless and not being “fast enough” give them something quicker than the electric chicken chasers you give them and the food might arrive warm! They send him on a delivery to Penrose street and he gets a knife held to his neck and the delivery taken. He arrives back and they send him back to the same area! Totally and utterly shocked, I guarantee I will never be ordering from any of your stores again.

Arrived cold, pretty tastless and bland. Not sure how the price can be justified for this lump of cold dough?

It was very expensive considering it was buy one get one free 20 99 for 2 pizzas they said that is a deal but its a rip off really

We ordered a pepperoni pizza and ended up with a sauceless margarita after waiting 40 mins. The staff were also watching tiktoks behind the counter while customers were in the store.

Ordered a ranch BBQ, garlic bread and a classic coke from dominos Exeter street, got charged delivery yet the guy walked to my house, showed up diet Coke and a pizza looking like it's been involved in a car crash, called to enquire about it and they hanged up on me twice. Pathetic service and customer service

Very bad service I ordered a delivery by phone and payment was taken by debit card after a very long time and still not receiving my delivery I called and spoke to a member of staff to ask about my orderand after being placed on hold for a long time to be then informed that there is no delivery order for my address which was bad to hear and then to be asked all over again to go through my whole order which was obviously given when I placed the order then member of staff responded by that yes she had found my order by the price I paid but was told it was not actioned or placed as an order on their side when I originally called I the asked her cancelled my order then to be told that my refund will take 3-5 days for my payment to be refunded without any pizza actually delivered the worst service I have received untrained staff taking orders by phone and taking a payment which resulted in no pizza delivery .

Friendly staff helped me when I had trouble accessing the app, the food.... excellent (pizza) not the nearest to me but they are my first choice.

Wow, my wife favourite place in Plymouth and it has a varieties of pizza and it’s has no match in the area. Get *** because it’s lack enough chair that could seat 5people waiting for their orders

I would either buy ready pizza from Sainsbury ,M&S , or Cooperative or buy the ingredients and make a high quality yet very cheap pizza in the oven . Worst place to order pizza from .

Rude staff that are very unhelpful, ignored in the shop then after enduring this they said our pizza was in the mutley branch. We had to take a taxi there to pick it up. The actual pizza was nice but most likely because it was made by the mutley shop not Exeter st. Never again.

Expensive, even with deals. Delivery claimed to have been when several were standing outside at that time. Eventually arrived around an hour late.

Well, I had ordered a large tomato based pizza with stuffed crust to be collected at 12:00pm, I got a barbecue base no stuffed crust and didn’t get my pizza until 20 mins past. Safe to say £23 not well spent, also I paid £5.99 for loaded wedges for them to have a bit of cheese sprinkled on, very disappointed going mutely plain next time xx

Firstly sent a pepperoni pizza instead of a veggie one. Called to tell them the problem, understanding mistakes can be made. They then promised they’d remake the veggie pizza and deliver it in 40 minutes. Called after an hour and was told there’s an issue with delivery and would take another hour. Hours of waiting and still didn’t receive my actual order

They make good pizza but additional seasoning would be nice.

Not had a domino's pizza for years but one of their fliers came through the door and we thought why the hell not and went to our local domino's in Exeter Street plymouth. They were absolutely bomb out with phone calls for deliveries but still managed my order and collection within the shop within 15mins and we thoroughly enjoyed both our pizzas, leaving a little for tomorrow's dinner lol. Thanks peeps ☺️.

2 hours late and potentially another hours wait poor excuse absolute hurrendious service

Wish I could give zero stars. Ordered food at 9.20 website said it was a 50 minute wait. Rang up at 10.30 to check on progress was told the pizza was out for delivery. Rang back at 11.05 to be told it wasn't out for delivery in fact they hadn't even baked it yet. Asked to cancel the order and was told it will take 3-5 days to return the money. Absolute joke of an establishment.

Order online, part of the order arrived incorrect. Call them to be told I can have that item refunded or wait over an hr for the item to be swapped. After refusing to wait over an hr and explaining I want my food to eat as one meal not two, a lot of two and fro with the Manager they finally agreed to swap the order completely as long as not more than two bits of pizza have been eaten, which they hadn't so they can take the food back. What a joke and what a waste. Going by all the other one star reviews, someone at Domino's needs to get their act together and sort this store out.

Ordered two large pizzas, chicken strips and vegan nuggets but the vegan nuggets didn't get sent called up they said they would send them two hours later still no nuggets 😳 absolute joke when and poor service

Awful quality of food and service. Gave the wrong order at collection and didn't own up to their mistake. The most insensitive and careless staff at the branch and the overall management who were very rude and didn't do anything to correct their mistake. I wish there was the option of giving a zero star as that's what they deserve. Please don't bother ordering and do yourself a favour by ordering from Papa John's instead. Better price, quality and just general attitude towards their customers

Order took over an hour to arrive, when it did arrive they had forgot my dip and side, I was told it would take 30 minutes to deliver the missing items, 60 minutes later I rang them and they didn’t know anything about it, they said it would be despatched soon with no apology for the inconvenience. Shambles of a company

Took over an hour when estimated time on ordering was 34-38mins. Used the tracker and it's showed the pizzas were made and ready for about half an hour before they even went out for delivery. Finally arrived by pedal cycle ( not even an ebike, but an actual pedal cycle!) Safe to say both pizzas were cold and we were unhappy customers. Won't order again in a hurry.

Absolutely awful experience, placed an order online , arrived to collect when told to only to be told after driving 20 mins to collect that they had messed one of the pizzas up, they they messed it up for a second time so after waiting for nearly an hour in the shop I was informed that I could have a refund as they had messed my order up again, or the would refund me only for the pizza that was not suitable and I could take and be billed for the cold soggy pizza cooked nearly and hour ago. Disgusting customer service as none of the managers had any care or concern over the issue and the fact that they had offered a refund was good enough.

The most polite branch I’ve ever ordered from. We don’t order much but whenever we do they’ve always been SO lovely & always helpful.

Meat found on veggie pizza, response from Domino's is that this happens so not their problem 🤦‍♀️. The ratios of toppings were also way off (cheese mostly all on one side) and the slices were really irregular. Cheesy garlic bread was really powdery on the bottom. Terrible, contaminated and a company that doesn't seem to care at all!

I still reminisce about how awful this branch is. Rude staff, and the pizzas are really poorly made. Lack of topping (hunt the cheese!) and just poor all round. Dominos are usually decent, but this branch is awful. Only writing this review because I'm hungry and waiting to order a pizza. Dominos can deliver now...but I'll wait until my usual decent pizza place opens. Avoid. Your money will be better spent elsewhere.

Usually really good quality but unfortunately this time pizza came with very little cheese (for a large pizza) we ordered 2 and for some reason both our pizzas had ingredients we didn't order. One was soggy too. Delivery was super fast!

One of the worst places to order food from. Always comes cold, never on time and staff are rude and don't give a toss if anything is wrong with your order. Abysmal service.

I had the same experience as Jonathons review. Pizza was over an hour before it was marked as dispatched. Then, despite the very clear delivery instructions, the delivery driver got lost. He calls me and I explain where I am, then I see him ride past on his moped and completely misses me waving him over, he does a U turn, misses me AGAIN and rides away! At that point I just wanted a refund only to be met by an extremely rude, unhealthy sounding woman trying to tell me to do her job for her. Absolute circus operated by inept clowns. Reported to HQ. Update: Got a refund off Paypal, unlucky you dutty pig

Ordered for delivery, had to collect the it 45 minutes later as no drivers. Wrong pizza received and food was cold, very disappointed on this occasion.

The rudest staff ever took so long it was nearly 4am when they arrived I called them up to ask for a refund and was verbally attacked by a woman on the phone. Will be contacting their HR department as the mutley plain store would never!!

Staff are super rude. Waited 2 hours before deciding to phone up and check how long it would be. Said another 1.5-2 hours! Never had to wait this long anywhere else! Ridiculous..

The worse dominos we’ve ever visited. Staff are absolutely hopeless. Slow, unresponsive, lack of knowledge and unhygienic. The guy making the pizzas left his station on multiple occasions to assist the female on the till (pressing buttons on the till each time). Each time he returned to the station without washing his hands. This breaches all H&S rules, but in a time when we are fighting against Covid, raises serious concerns. As for the pizzas, far too much sauce, toppings thrown on. I’ve seen more creativity from a four year old. Once ready, we waited ages for the pizzas to be given to us, despite waiting by the till! Sadly this branch appears to be owned by someone who doesn’t care as long as the money keeps coming in. No sign of anyone in charge and run by those who don’t really care. Avoid at all costs.

Pizza arrived quick hence the two stars, but apart from that it wasn't worth the 26£. It was pushed to one side of box, topping was very uneven and the slices ranged from large to tiny. Rushed and sloppy. I expected a lot better quality for the money.

Omg the rudest bunch of staff you'll ever encounter. They really ruined out dinner over just ONE SLICE of pizza. Ordered 2 pizza for 6 people made them double decadence, when it arrived every one took one slice then realised it not got the cheese layer in between, called the store said they will send a replacement but will need the pizzas we had back, said ok which in itself very weird, I've never heard of this happing ever with anyone. But still went along with it. Driver called me outside (who was by far the rudest of them all I mean a total nutcase) and said to bring the pizza with me , saw him waiting for me to see the pizza first so he could decide whether or not I was LYING. Then just looked at the pizza and send I can't replace it cz we've eaten Half the pizza(only the Slices of a large pizza were eaten). He could see it more then half, but his arguement was its only one more than half🤦🏻‍♂️. Called them back and they just chose violence that night. Just told me can't to anything, can't refund, told me to complaint. Said I was a liar, when in fact on the first call I told him I can send him a photo of the cheese missing and he also said that he had put "A LITTLE BIT IN THE MIDDLE"... ?? I mean why mate ?? Didnt pay for little bit in the midlde did I??? It also means he knew it wasnt enough so he was cheating intentionally!!! And I will attach some photos you will see even that little bit isn't there. So in the all this time pizza was ruined. Cz of waiting for the other one, and didnt even get the other one.

Took an hour and a half to get here, despite only being about a mile away. Pizza's were surprisingly still hot. However the quality of the pizza was shockingly bad. made with some really salty bright orange cheese like cheddar, all mottled like overcooked cheese on toast. maybe 10% mozzarella. The base was pale and paper thin. I've had better pizza from kebab shops. WTH? Now I feel sick.

Terrible service, Food was green. Got the delivery wrong. When I complained it took a whole month to get back to me just to say that they wouldn’t be dealing with my complaint any further. The customer service was awful, someone of their team was sending snarky emails saying ‘you can bring the one green/mouldy chip back for a refund for just that one’. Don’t use, not worth it. Better to support a smaller business that actually cares about its customers and the quality of the food. In my opinion the worst place ever. I wouldn’t bother complaining either nothing happens.

I was a store manager at Dominos in Surrey, never seen a Dominos store making poor pizzas like this one. Way to much sauce, and found 2 pieces of meat on a Veggie pizza.

Very poor and rude manager. I placed an order for collection. I live in Newton abbot but by mistake I selected Plymouth for collection ( location was saved in my mobile as I work in Plymouth). I receive a text message that order will be ready for collection in Plymouth. I straight away called the store for cancelling or transferring order to newton abbot but surprisingly store manager told me he can't cancel ot transfer as order is ready for collection.

Well, one pizza arrived completely squashed and under cooked. Called and sent a replacement, wow.. looks good from here right? Wrong, it arrived cold and basically raw, it obviously got shown the over but was not allowed in. Not disappointed we just won’t ever return.

Pizzas came out quick but on one of them the toppings looked like they were just thrown on and the cheese was nonexistent. Won't be going back there again!!

Great staff and good food, if you want fast pizza

Waited over an hour for in person collection. Told the order was messed up and I would have to wait from scratch. Asked for a refund and was refused a receipt that confirmed I was to be refunded. Have to wait in hope they keep to their word. Unless you like being messed about go anywhere but here. Second time I’ve been kept waiting, but as a few years passed I assumed their would be improvements.

One of the pizzas was wrong. And lots of the pieces dont have toppings, just chucked on. No love, had great service from here before but guess on busy nights that goes out of the window. Won't be getting again.

Was like watching pizza being made by headless chickens. They managed to: try to charge me double, get the same pizza wrong twice, leave another couple pizzas in the oven, have me wait 15mins before one of the delivery guys handed me my box. Luckily there was no risk of it burning my mouth when I finally tucked in.

3 hour wait on a pizza that I had ordered online very simple order 3 large pizzas only turns up with 2 order half6 it's now nearly 11pm

Ordered 2 pizzas one custom just onion and sweet corn one mighty meaty with chicken. Waited 1hour 48 mins... Delivered custom pizza no sweetcorn Mighty meaty no meat literally just chicken. . . Worst service I've ever had from a domino's waste of money and definitely not what I'd call fast food.

It's just Domino's isn't it. They do barely satisfactory pizza at an inflated price.

Had a pizza that I think got missed out with most ingredients. Even though I asked for extra cheese there was barely any . Dominos is going downhill I'm afraid.

Always get high quality pizza, been impressed that I always order online for collection and it is ready when I arrive. Always check online as there are some really good deals.

My order of a veggie supreme pizza had a piece of chicken on it. I didn't realise this at the time of delivery as I decided to eat this pizza the next morning. When I did realise in the morning I called Domino's. Jordan answered the phone, and told us that if he ordered the pizza, he would have eaten it immediately, so there is nothing he can do about it.

I've not long gave birth to my son. So I was eating pizza a lot thro out my pregnancy but I had dominos for the first time in 3 months and you guys still remembered my order and just how I like it😊 you made my evening guys thank you plus food is lovely/perfect😊

Says done on screen but takes about extra 5 mins after so not right from oven and was not under staffed as looked around 10 in there but also been longer after said done. Food tastes great tho

From 5* to 1* after this evenings experience. What an absolute shambles. Taking orders with no delivery drivers. Cold pizza delivered. Sitting on the warming shelf for an hour in store. Owen the shift managers response, that shelf keeps pizza warm for longer than an hour. Never again.
