Domino's Pizza in Rochford

I would just like to highlight the value of a member of your staff..’BARRY’. I attended the store today in Hockley on my way to work wearing my work uniform (paramedic) and a member of staff ‘BARRY’ insisted on paying for my pizzas, as a thank you for my service. This kind gesture touched me and really made my day…. and it will not be forgotten. What a wonder kind person you are THANK YOU BARRY… Rebecca

If you want to be ignored, collect from here. I walked in earlier, my name was on the board saying pizza was ready. 5 people behind the counter and they all ignored me. They didn’t even look up. I realise they probably don’t pay enough to get good staff but politeness should be something we all have. Also, they tend to get orders wrong.

Great service,pizzas topped up proper,on time,can't complain at s)l as all was in mint condition from food to service and everything

This must be the worst service of any domino. When you go to collect you never get acknowledged when you go in, just a hi or a smile but ideally they’d ask if they can help. I just went in to pick up, on the tv screen it said it was ready, I could see the pizza on the shelf but the two staff were too busy chatting to each other to get it. In fact, they totally ignored me and I had to ask for my pizza. Appalling service. Staff need training.

How can establishment has dominoes not accept cash unacceptable, come in with my two children to be refused to accept my English tender?

Order fairly regularly and know it will be reliable. Food is always as ordered, hot and on time. Also, very polite and respectful delivery staff. When ordering to collect, pizzas are always ready on time as stated on the tracker. No complaints at all 👍

Pizzas are not cheap, and it is best to go for a deal and collect. Best is the lunchtime 7" personal pizza for £3.99. Hot, tasty, and cheaper than a supermarket meal deal. Cheeky monkeys now charge you a couple of quid for delivery now, but don't tell you until you put in your card details.

Only took 1 hour 40 to get our pizza. It was OK.

15 miute wait turned into 45 minutes even though my puzzas were sitting on the shelf ready to takeaway. Plus no one spoke English. Not happy

The Pizza always seems to be dry and overcooked. Quite disappointing.

I am cursed by a regular stream of messages from these characters. Reading other reviews, I do see why they need to flood the inboxes of people who live hundreds of miles from them, their poor product and lack of service shine through the comments I have read, no wonder local people stay away.

What can i say its dominoes baby!

I always pick up. Dom tells me how long it's gonna take and i leave home 5 minutes before and I've never had a problem, it's always piping hot, fresh from the oven. Recently went their Friday evening July 29th and they had 9 or 10 staff all doing their jobs. Can't fault them.

Great pizzas served quickly at excellent prices with their special offers

Always delivered hot and good service, BUT recently it's become way to expensive and unaffordable. Sorry but we can't afford this anymore. Such a shame

I've ordered so many times online. Food is always correct, hot, delivered on time and delivery drivers are fab. I always know it's a reliable place to order from. No complaints at all, yummy pizza! Emma

Made an order. They went to the completely wrong address then made it to ours it was freezing cold. A colleague said we would get a full refund as we had children to feed and the manager refused ! And was very rude. The manger said dominos is a very large company and £20-£30 is nothing to them because our order was under £20!! Very patronising Would give them minus 1 if I could !!

Why is it that you order a pizza for delivery with 2 hours notice and the pizza turns up half and hour late..... Oh and if you want well done, actually burnt, then this is the place to go.

Granddaughters love the food here. Bit of a mix up when I went to collect, as the wedges were not ready. Offered a free drink for the inconvenience.

Please get your delivery driver to park his car properly whilst parked outside Hockey Cafe, my father in law is in his 80's, blind in 1 eye and could park better.

Awful service, dishonest staff working. It says buy one get one free. I ordered two pizzas staff never mentioned about the offer and took full payment for the two pizzas. Won't use them again.

The food is excellent - more so than some other Dominoes outlets. Staff dont seem particularly friendly or even interested though. Location is very good too, but for the same reason parking can be quite difficult

I am absolutely disgraced with the service I have received tonight . I ordered my pizza snd it arrived stone COLD may I add I live 2 minutes from Dominos so no excuse what so ever ! Certainly no excuse the weather being cold which is the excuse I was given from the So called Manager Elise . She was extremely unhelpful and extremely rude . She offered a refund which wasn’t guaranteed or a credit for next time . There was no apology or empathy in her voice quite frankly I think it’s alarming you have people like her in your management team to deal with customers . All she was doing was doing was arguing why the Pizza had arrived cold and attempting in her rude ridiculous way justifying it and blaming the weather which is laughable . As a unhappy customer who have been waiting over an hour for my food to arrive I don’t expect it to turn up late I certainly don’t expect to have to be spoken to the way she spoke to me . You should be doing everything to make it right not offering the pizza to come out over an hour wait and wouldn’t be classed as a PRIORITY she said . I cannot stress how rude she was and clearly not management material and clearly has no customer service skills actually sounded like a rude chav arguing with her friend referring to me as her ‘Mate ‘ I test my case that’s says it all . And at the end of the call refusing to take any responsibility and putting the phone down on me . I would seriously take a look at your staff let alone management . Absolutely disgraceful!!!

I called up to ask if they are accepting cash and before I even got to finish my sentence the RUDE lady on the phone shouts agressively...NO!! Think she needs some training in customer service!

Good food make sure you work the deals for yourself

Don't bother! Ordered a pizza for my daughter for a specific delivery time, it's now an hour and a half later and we're still waiting.... I appreciate that the take-aways are busy at the moment, but there's been no word from them & we can't get through in the phone.

Over priced under cooked very average pizza

Long wait at the shop after 20 minutes was asked what the order name was waited another 10 minutes for my order to be taken from the bottom of the pile

Great little shop with tasty and nice looking pizza, friendly staff and best drivers. The manager is always helpful and polite.

Ordered pizza on line which said the order would be delivered in 26 mins, 1 hour later after seeing on the online tracker it had been sitting in quality checking ready to be sent out for about 30 mins, I was told they were short on drivers and the pizza was not going to be cold as it was sitting under heat lamps, another 45mins later the pizza was delivered cold, we complained and was told we could get a free reorder when we want, which we've tried to cash in tonight to be told we cant get the reorder and will need to complain to head office...we had a call recording and still they refused to honour the agreement...poor show and yet another customer lost, you're doing well Domino's Hockley!

Very speedy delivery and lovely service. The pizzas were really tasty, great quality, and still hot. First time ordering but definitely will be again!

We ordered a pizza & sides, we was told it would be 35mins but took 1hr 40 mins turned up Luke warm but as we had 4 small children & time was running away we had to accept. when we complained we were met with total disregard & no professional conduct & were told we could have a free medium pizza as compensation. This was totally unacceptable for a ruined evening takeaway. We will never use this company again & will stick with papa johns in future

Totally useless, this time my order had the wrong topping. The time before that it looked as tho the pizza had be carried on its side. Delivery is always late and always cold! Papa John's have no trouble delivering to hockley while keeping a pizza warm. Dominos, I'm done with you!

One pizza totally missing from order then arrived 10 minutes later with another driver. Not the first time bad service has been received from Hockley Domino's but when you complain no one cares.

Great good helpful friendly staff and excellent delivery drivers

They don't care about customers or delivering pizza on time as promised on their website. We ordered 15 pizza's to be delivered at 8 'o' clock pizza turned up at 9:30, their excuse was that the driver was new. When I called in to complain they put the phone down on me, they sent one complimentary pizza which never turned up. The pizza's were ordered well in advance and they were aware about the event which the pizza's need to be delivered too. So disappointed some students left disappointed, those who stayed we had to get them Pizza's from Caspian.

Didn't get my pizza this time as someone else's was in my box after a 30 min wait and after being told sorry it was in the oven they started making it hoping I wouldn't notice. While in the shop I also heard that someone else's pizza was wrong but one of the staff just said send it anyway. The time before this I waited 1 1/2 hours for a burnt to a crisp pizza to turn up this was their last chance i wont be back.

Base undercooked. Cheese not melted and there’s less cheese than there used to be. I have given up going there. Have to drive to cuckoo corner instead.

Don’t bother ringing them they don’t answer!!

It's the worst service I have ever experienced, ordered 2 pizzas at 4:30 they turned up at 6:15 absolutely stone cold, I phoned the shop the up during that time and informed they were out then someone else came on the phone and told me they were leaving in a few minutes!! Told them if cold I want my money back, I was promised they wouldn't be cold but yet cold than a block of ice, phoned shop up and complained and got the most sarcastic person ever who immediately got my back up, said only have money back if pizza returned I promptly responded it's in the bin and he said can't have money then, argument then started between myself and him and he threatened to call the police on me, subsequently I have emailed there company and waiting to hear back. They're without doubt the worst pizza shop going and I'll never eat there again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Not worth 1 star out of 5 and if I could give a minus score it would be ridiculous how low it would be. Absolute disgrace.

Delivery was slow, took 25 minutes for my order to arrive from leaving the store, I live less than half a mile away. If they walked it down it would only take 12 minutes so my order has been on a magicial mystery tour. Food was cold and ingredients missing. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience. Would not recommend unless you go into the store and collect it!! Although apologies where given for taking so long, no replacement offered. Very disappointed.

Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered pizza and over two hours later still hasn't arrived, called several times to be told it was on its way!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM DOMINOS HOCKLEY

Ordered a deal with 2 pizzas, one pizza was wrong, address on the label wasn't even ours, phoned to advise and was told a new one would be sent out, told lady on the phone that I had the rocket but not chilli oil that was supposed to come with it, nearly an hour later the correct pizza was delivered but no chilli oil, the pizza is rubbish without it, not impressed at all.

Pizza is always good, hot and on time

Used to be okay but for second time order did not materialise after an hour and when rang told it was on its way. Half hour later still not arrived so rang back to be given excuse that driver had the go to another store to pick something up and order hadn't actually left yet and was still on the side. Obviously not going to want a pizza that was going to be 1.5 hours old and probably near cold. This is similar situation as to previous order. Shouldn't tell customers it's already left when it's still in the store, twice. I like Dominoes pizza but can't stand poor service so had enough of the Hockley branch.

Very rude staff. I went for collection and the girl (she had red hair and she says she is the manager ) was answering the phone in front of us and ignoring us completely. After that the was screaming in the shop and laughing like we were invisible. If Domino's wants this kind of people to be their imagine it's a shame cause we definetly won't go back as long as that girl is running the shop. We wouldn't feel comfortable. Also a guy left his job in his personal clothes on the main staff door with a can of drink in front of us. I had some friends working there and I know for sure you need to leave the shop on the back door if you don't wear an uniform. He was a very skinny blonde guy. Shame... we really like your Pizza but your staff stopped us going there!

Very slow delivery times. Almost 2 hours to deliver. Slow service and cold pizza. Best to avoid and choose a different takeaway. Ill fly to Italy next time to get a quicker pizza. Only reason they get one star is due to the fact that's the minimum I can rate.
