Dolphin Inn - The Lodge in City of London, Westminster

The hostel is basic and only suitable for sleeping. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. The mattresses are quite uncomfortable and the rooms are small for six people. The breakfast is good for the price, but the space is small and the variety is limited. The positive: they clean daily and the staff is very friendly. You can leave your luggage before and after your stay. However, the reception is in another building and the bathrooms could very well be improved (there are leaks and the cisterns work very poorly). Ideal only if you are looking for something "economical" and (very) simple.

Dolphin Inn is a bit inconvenient because you have to go to the Dolphin Hotel and check in. The location of the hotel is good as it is close to Pattingdon Station. However, like the older hotels in this area, there is no elevator. The bathroom is also small, so it's a bit inconvenient. You also have to go to the Dolphin Hotel to eat breakfast.

A hotel in a great location and at a very good price. The room with a bathroom was very small and modest, but it was only used for sleeping. The breakfast was fully sufficient, everything was always supplemented, nothing was missing. Daily cleaning and replenishment of hygiene needs.

The only good thing was the location

Super basic and near loud train. The fact that it had NO ELEVATOR really bugged us. Otherwise it was clean.

The shower doesn't drain, the toilets barely flush and the only surprise is what awful smell the worn carpets will emit each day.

Very good location but bare minimum in the rooms (no drinking water). Mold on the wall.

the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. we had COCKROACHES in our room and look at the bottom of the mattress. Please never go to this place if you want to sleep in a hygienic room

Standard hotel with bunk beds. Breakfast was included. Location near Paddington station was excellent. Check in was smooth. Toilets touching shower a bit uncomfortable. Steep steps

We left in two groups, so two different rooms. One was good, clean, renovated and comfortable but ours was really shabby. Same size for 6 as a room for 3, very poor condition, bathroom the size of a closet. Bordering on unsanitary. And 4th without elevator with not easy stairs. Despite everything, some positive points. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good value for money breakfast and excellent location for visiting London. No noise pollution from outside. Small square in front of the very pleasant hotel.

As basic accommodation for families it's very good. Like the fridge too.

The room wasn't great, but it was only good for sleeping. We stayed in the basement somewhere. You could hear the subway. The surroundings were great. The subway station was close by. Unfortunately there was no choice for breakfast, the same thing every morning. But overall it was sufficient. Top location

We were a group of 5 friends and we stayed two nights there. The room was pretty good for the price. The only bad thing was the shower, which flooded and you had to wait for it to empty. They changed our towels and cleaned the room. The day we left we were able to leave our suitcases at reception and pick them up at night. I really recommend this accommodation. It's cheap, clean, comfortable and very well located, close to Hyde Park and next to Paddington station. There are shops, restaurants and cafes nearby.

Friendly staff, top location, the rooms are nice and clean, the only flaw is the stairs. For us with a small child, giving us the room on the 4th floor wasn't a great idea.

A hotel adequate to the price. Advantages: cheap, well connected to the center, great location - pubs, restaurants, shops, metro stations; clean, comfortable in the basic dimension; nice service. Disadvantages: poorly soundproofed rooms, worn out. GREAT for undemanding guests.

The location of the hotel is excellent! But there is one minus, the stairs to the top floor are very steep, the steps are narrow, to get to the room you need to go through an obstacle quest...

Clean, very simple hostel. To sleep great. Heating in the rooms. Very nice views of both the roofs behind and the park in front.
