Brilliant place to visit. Food was tasty and hot. Very polite and helpful staff. Will certainly visit again. Welcomed by the staff and everything was explained on what to do as it was our first visit.

Served by the beautiful Holly , & an older lady (which was also fab) love this place had food which was great & pudding where the Chef (thankyou) gave me a huge smiley face aerosol cream & Holly did the sauce (thankyou) needed the sugar to bike it home 🏡 great service atmosphere & food love this place 😘

I took my parents for their 53rd wedding anniversary. We had the Sunday roast, 3 had beef, one veggie. My dad, the veggie kept repeating how fantastic the food was, and how it took him back to the days his mum made Sunday dinner (this lead to a few stories!), he said the only thing that could have beat his mums, was if there were a couple of Brussels on the plate 🤣 The beef was also delicious. Felicity and Kyra were fantastic hosts, and the chap who brought our food and collected the empty plates was friendly and helpful (sorry, didn't get his name). We booked for 2pm, as we hopes to avoid the lunchtime rush. Timed it perfectly. Comfortably busy, but certainly not packed. We will most definitely return. Thank you all! Keep up the great work.

Returned after many years and very impressed. We were welcomed by a gentleman who we presumed was the manager. Very friendly. He asked us to choose our table and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. We both decided on the burger special. Our choice, the ultimate southern fried chicken burger. One of the best burgers we'd ever had. We didn't have to wait long before it arrived. A feast for the eyes as well as the tummy. Our waitress, Judith, was friendly, helpful and very pleasant. All in all an absolutely lovely meal, friendly surroundings and it won't be too long before we're back.

Great friendly staff and the attention to detail was amazing. I have a tolerance and they made sure it was clearly noted on the ticket and when my food came out it had an allergy wooden stake on the plate so it didn’t get mixed up with another order. I would highly recommend to my friends and family. Great value for money and a lovely evening had by all

Ate out here last night with a another couple who haven't been out much since covid . We had reassured them both that the staff at the Dog and Duck are really on the ball when it comes to dealing with covid restrictions and that we felt very safe visiting . We had booked although I sadly feel this was probably not necessary as it was very quiet when we arrived . We were shown to our table , drinks ordered and promptly bought to our table. We all ordered something different, when the meals arrived we were all pleased with our various choices . I had the gammon , pineapple and egg , hubby opted for fish and chips and our friends had surf n turf and hunters chicken , all served with chunky chips , lots of chunky chips ..... hmmmmmAll the meals were lovely , there wasnt a bit of fat on my gammon, fish and chips quickly devoured, as were the other two meals . Ok , one of who shall be nameless , left a few chips . We had another couple of drinks and felt the staff were attentive whilst not being ' in your face ' All in all it was good night out , enjoyed by all . I've no doubt we shall hopefully be rebooking another meal shortly, covid restrictions permitting .
