Great first visit to Dishoom. Food was delicious hot and fresh. I had the special prawn pathia. The house chai was so nice too. All of the staff were so friendly and professional, especially our lady server. Can’t wait to return! Will recommend all family and friends !

Fabulous Indian street food restaurant like you've never had before. A great location, fabulous atmosphere and first class service coupled with different and sublime Indian street food makers this a place I can highly recommend.

Dishoom lives up to the hype. A great setting (a bit crowded and noisy,but part of the fun ambiance) and excellent food. The house chai is bottomless, and the waitstaff was very attentive in bringing over the next glass of chai, even before the first one was finished. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner if you're in Covent Garden or Theatre district.

What a lovely place to eat. So glad we found it. We had lunch after a long morning at BLS, so it was for a bit of a celebration of our retirement and moving to Spain. The atmosphere was so good, the service was brilliant. The food..... absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for making our day perfect.

The wow factor abd the great service has gone. Second vista in 5 months abs similar experience.. one starter cane after 6 minutes of reminding them. Plates weren't taken away without being asked. Then no plates with main. Naan swimming in oil in basket. Slippery slope

I was looking for something not spicy so I asked the waiter what are the spicy plates and he told me that the spicy ones are those with the letter S indicated. So I ordered something without the letter S (I ordered the chicken roll) and It was very spicy. I really dont like spicy food and It was disgusting. Be careful if you go in this places before you pay for something that you dont like and you dont eat. The other plates were good. In generale I would not go there as a First choice.

Love this place! Came in with my family on a holiday morning. Great food and outstanding vibe. Perfect service! Despite it is a large operation, everything is well orchestrated. We arrived around 11:30 and they seated us right away. Wow, the food is fresh made and full of favors. We ordered the big Bombay, the wrestler naan roll from the breakfast menu and the signature prawn dish from the lunch menu. I love they have naan and roti handmade and in such different texture and flavor. No wonder they are highly rated and everywhere in London. The waiter was the best I ever had when traveling in more than 10 countries. He explained that if we order a few for the breakfast we can wait for another 20 min and order from the completely different lunch menu. So glad we did as he suggested. It was a busy time with all tables were occupied but somehow he had magic and noticed and responded our needs immediately without ask. We had three round of chai, which is a must. He came to fill it up right away. We also tipped over two glasses and he came right away with paper towels to clean it up. It is a great value too!

Great service, our waiter was superb and very good at his profession! Food unfortunately for me was not as good as I had hoped, it is a watered down take on Indian cuisine. Perfectly acceptable to the majority, but definitely had better and more authentic versions of some dishes. Food isn't very spicy so it'll be great for all, I think it's a decent entry to Indian cuisine with dishes that are unique and welcoming. I'd avoid the house chaat, it's just a few chutneys with crisps you can find in the supermarket. Anyone who's familiar with such food will understand the quality is a bit subpar, rice was really poorly cooked and very bland for example. I'd recommend trying an authentic place if you enjoyed it here, it will be far superior in every dimension as this is only a fraction of the flavours and experience. Atmosphere visually was great, however it was very busy in the restaurant and unfortunately gets very loud. May be uncomfortable for some so try and go to a quieter location if it's a concern. Went well past the lunch rush but still had constant flow of customers. Overall it's fine, great for those not used to the cuisine but may not be suitable for those used to it as it can come off a little bland and lacking in spice. Pricey for what it is (small portions), although to be expected in such a location. Glad I tried it to see what the hype was about, but it's not somewhere I'd return.

Our waiter was hilarious and gave beyond top notch service. additionally we had a food allergy in the group and the kitchen and staff went above and beyond to make sure we could all have something. didn’t even get to take a pic of the food we just dove in!! amazing will hopefully be back!!!

Server was amazing, made us feel very welcome. She gave great insight into the menu and was very pleasant. The food was delicious, the lamb chops leave you gnawing on the bones to get every piece of it and the ruby chicken was perfect. Atmosphere was energizing, and the drinks were delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who like Indian food or wants to try it for the first time (warning - it will be hard to match this anywhere else).

Went to Dishoom Covent Garden with a group of friends and really enjoyed it. The vibe is warm and lively, and the food lived up to the hype. The House Black Daal was rich and comforting, and the Chicken Ruby was perfectly spiced. We also loved the Okra Fries and Garlic Naan. Service was friendly and relaxed—overall, a great spot for a flavorful, satisfying meal.

This is my first time trying Indian food. The place and service was excellent, Since the restaurant was crowded, the staff inform us politely about the condition of the kitchen, about the delay of our meal.

The Wrestlers naan was prolific for protein and non-dairy lovers alike.

Visited Sunday for lunch and had a good experience, however was hit with food poisoning several hours later with severe vomiting into the night with the next day written off. Culprit seemed to be the House Black Daal. Got this reason I cannot recommend.

Excellent! Expensive like everything in London but worth the experience

Our waiter was the most successful especially with the name Reagan. There was a bit of a queue. Stream fast .. served Indian islands real fun. Our recommended dishes ..broccoli salad enchants flavors and textures... The kebab is excellent, spicy and incredibly tasty. Okra is nice.

Amazing food. Mango lassi was a bit plain but the food was yummy. The black daal was flavorful while the paneer was smooth yet maintained its structure. Service was amazing too. But the service charge is a no no.

My recent visit to Dishoom was a disappointing experience that failed to live up to its reputation. Despite the perpetually long queue giving the impression of exceptional cuisine, the reality fell considerably short of expectations. We approached our ordering conservatively, mindful of portion sizes and costs. Among our selections were the Vaisakhi "special" Sarson Ka Saag—which I chose out of curiosity as a saag enthusiast—and the special Prawn Patia. Unfortunately, both dishes arrived noticeably undersized, insufficient for two diners. The makki roti accompanying the saag were particularly small, and both dishes suffered from excessive saltiness. What was especially disconcerting was the discrepancy between presentation and marketing. Upon checking Dishoom's website afterwards, I discovered that the Sarson Ka Saag we received bore little resemblance to the appetising image displayed online. Another perplexing aspect of the dining experience was their peculiar approach to water service. The steel water jugs are kept away from diners, requiring you to flag down staff whenever you need a refill, after which they promptly remove the jug from the table. This puzzling practice leaves one wondering what exactly they fear might happen if customers had continuous access to tap water. The food simply didn't justify either the wait or the premium pricing. This marks my second underwhelming experience across two different Dishoom locations, confirming a pattern rather than an isolated incident. I won't be returning to any Dishoom restaurant. The combination of high prices, small portions, inconsistent quality, misleading presentation, and strange service practices makes it difficult to recommend when there are better dining options available.

Best food we had in London thus far!

The food was fantastic. The tea was divine. The service left much to be desired. I don’t know if it was because the restaurant is super busy, but our waiter spoke very fast, and seemed frustrated when we asked more questions. It is very loud in the restaurant; therefore, very difficult to understand everything he said. This will not deter me from wanting to go again, because the food was amazing. Maybe I will try a different location.

Can highly recommend to not only go once but multiple times. Both breakfast and lunch/dinner are great! Cant wait till they open shop in Amsterdam/Rotterdam

We went for breakfast and got the naan roll, uttapam stack, and bottomless chai. It was the perfect amount of food, and the flavors were all incredible. The staff was so friendly and gave us some recommendations for things to sightsee in the area too. We'll definitely be going back before our trip ends!

A little too loud but the food was excellent.

Dishoom does not do reservations in advance for parties of under 6 people. So be prepared to queue outside, especially if you are a group of 4 or 5 people. Their seating plan is inefficient, since there is a limited number of large party seating. I prefer west Kensington, since they offer waiting in the bar before seating. They are very good with managing allergies, the staff there were extremely helpful. Also the food arrives promptly, since they do want a faster turnaround to maximise efficiency. The food itself is fine to good, but not great. The chaat is brilliant, but not as good as the Bombay Brassarie. I find the food to be too hot, the spice blend dies due to overwhelming taste of chillies or black pepper. Look out for Keema pao. In summary, Dishoom is not culinary excellence. It's simply street food, packaged in a posh-nosh. Once you know what to expect, it's good to visit once in a while.

Make sure to make a reservation. The servers are super friendly and cheerful! The atmosphere is great and the taste is just like Korean indie, Ganga. Since I was alone, I ordered a ruby ​​curry and rice, but I didn't have enough curry so I had some rice left. The mango lassi was also delicious.
