Dishoom Covent Garden in City of London, Westminster

Dishoom is always my go to place in London. There are many branches around London. I like the fact that their masala tea is bottomless and it is one of the best masala tea i had. Service is good and prompt. The menu has an extensive selection and so far everything that i tried was good quality and delicious.

The song selection and combination of beautiful Western and old Indian songs makes a perfect backdrop for your time! Saying the food is delicious would be an understatement, you cannot go wrong with the House Chaat, Chicken Biryani, Gunpowder Potatoes, Vegetable Samosas.. and the Malai Kulfi makes for an interesting end to this. The staff is very welcoming, I have come a couple of times to this particular branch and I loved how caring and attentive they all are, and especially Laura. I look forward to coming again in my next visit to London! 🇬🇧

Excellent food, great atmosphere.

Top of the line service experience, with incredible food. This is exactly what I needed and wanted in an Indian food experience and so much more. We got the chicken ruby and pepper mutton. We never wanted it to end. The fresh baked garlic naan was out of this world. The chai and chocolate pudding are additions I didn’t know I needed but are now a must have on each visit.

Great experience! We ordered multiple items and all were excellent except the House Black Daal. That was unfortunately very disappointing - bland, tasteless, not even salted well enough. But other than that, all the other curries, breads, bhel, keema, vada pav, and even dessert were outstanding!

This is hands down our favorite Indian restaurant in Edinburgh and London. Beautiful ambiance. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. We forgot to take pictures of food but the food was incredible! We loved all the dishes we tried, but their butter chicken (chicken ruby) is THE BEST and would recommend everyone to try it.

Andrew is an absolute legend, one might say, an icon. If you’re reading this, give him a raise as he excels at what he does.

We were really looking forward to this restaurant for our first night in London staying in Covent Garden. Lining up was freezing but staff were friendly. Restaurant was a bit overwhelming with number of staff and customers. Food was nice at the time but all 3 of my family came down with severe food poisoning within hours, vomiting, stomach cramps, severe nausea, diarrhoea and exhaustion for over 24 hours. The only thing that they ate that I didn’t eat was the Dishoom cheesy naan because I am gluten free. I would not recommend this place despite the hype if you don’t want to risk your London holiday being affected.

I arrived 15 mins before my table reservation in the morning for my company meeting. Their company policy is not to allow guests in the building before your table reservation. The building was empty and I was told to leave. Terrible service.

We visited dishoom on a busy Saturday evening and even though there were lots of customers our service was fantastic. Our waiter Tris was absolutely outstanding, always on hand with water or chai top ups. Okra fries, pav bhaji, chaat and spiced sweetcorn were all 10/10. Many thanks for a wonderful evening

Limited options for people with dairy allergy but, there were options available. The mutton curry and chicken tikka was very nice and well presented, great customer service and would come here again.

Kieran was the most hospitable and gracious waiter. We were having a difficult day and he made our afternoon better, absolutely!

They supported us when my mother suddenly fell ill during our visit. They stayed by my mother’s side until the very end. Thanks to their thoughtful assistance, we were able to get her safely to the hospital. The food you served was of course absolutely delicious. Thank you once again for everything.

I love Dishoom. But it was the first time I made it for breakfast service and the bombay breakfast was yum, yum! Couple woth morning cocktails, you cant go wrong! Service is always friendly, attentive and on point.

Fantastic Dining Experience! My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner at Dishoom today. The food was absolutely delicious, with the lamb chops and ruby chicken curry being the absolute highlights. The service was impeccable – our waitress was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent recommendations. While the price point might be a bit higher than usual, it was definitely worth it for the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. I highly recommend Dishoom for a special occasion or a treat for yourself. A small note: The chicken in the biryani was a bit dry.

Brilliant experience, amazing food. Staff was super attentive and lovely. Helped us decide when we weren't sure what to order. Cocktails were top notch and despite the very long queue of walk-ins we didn't ever feel rushed to vacate the table. Only thing maybe is the acoustics weren't great, it was incredibly noisy, wish I had brought my earplugs 😅

I don't understand how the food is so good

It was my wife’s birthday and we just walked by the doors and were invited in by one the Alex, who was wonderful, and went to the bar to wait for our table , there Sole , our bartender, was on point with his recommendations, and after we were served by Giorgio, who made us feel like family, and then the manager Piotr found out it was my wife’s birthday and gave her a free dessert. The whole experience was amazing and next time we are in London we are definitely going back. Thank you very much!!

Delicious food and even more delicious chai! I got mine with Oat be because I'm lactose intolerant and luckily it was still yummy. Service was quick even after we had missed our reservation by 30 minutes. Would def come back!

I have been to this place a number of times and it never fails. Staff is always on point, helpful and knowledgeable. The flavours here are bold, authentic and perfectly balanced. So we shared classic Dishoom chicken tikka, wow. I could eat this all day. And blackened butterflied prawns with tandoori roti. Flavour explosion in our souls. Highly recommend. Be back soon.

We had a really lovely time in the restaurant. Ambience was great, waiters were very attentive and helpful...the prawn was delicious as was the Tandoori chaat, very tasteful and different. The cardamom and rose lassi was forgettable and the chai, while it tasted very good, could come in a bigger pot or glass (if that's their thing). Roti and Raita were delicious!

Fabulous restaurant. Our second visit. Great menu, difficult to choose as so many lovely choices. Excellent staff and an offer to recommend dishes if we would like that. Great atmosphere. I would recommend booking in advance, as we did, as it was very busy. Staff's attitude was first rate. If you enjoy Indian food, this a restaurant you must try. Highly recommended.

We went to the Covent Garden location. Such a wonderful place. The food was excellent. The service was great. A shout out to Sid, our server. We went for a pre-theater dinner. The timing of the food being served was very well managed. The cocktails were interesting. We tried several different items on the menu and would have liked to try more. Best to go with at least four or more so that more dishes can be shared and tasted. The Ruby Chicken and Biryani were so tasty. If we had rented an apartment instead of being in an hotel, we could have tried more and taken doggie bags. The lamb samosas were so tasty and crisp, and the salad unusual with that tangy, slightly spicy dressing. Reservations are available until 6pm. After that I believe it's for bigger parties. Check on the website. The line waiting for tables was very long.

It’s the kind of place where you just want to soak in the atmosphere and linger!

Amazing food and friendly staff

This place has the service culture that often exceeds that of fine dining. Offering chai to those in the queue was a kind touch, especially in winter. Food was fabulous - keema on soft buns, chicken briyani we had were super delicious. Ahsan who attended to us made the meal a very pleasant experience.
