Excellent food, roast potato’s to die for, yummy puddings great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff will defo be back!

Was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent staff so friendly , genuine and attentive. Burger and mexican jacket potato excellent . Price excellent too.

My wife and I were keen to try the Sunday roast here yesterday. Upon arrival we were informed there was a rather long delay in food leaving the kitchen. We said we'd stay and try it. We both opted for Lamb, mine with the additional 'slow cooked' cauliflower cheese. After the expected delay, in which complimentary bread was brought to the table by way of apology, our meals arrived. We are sad to say the food was underwhelming. 'Seasonal vegetables' were half a carrot, half a parsnip and 3 small roast potatoes. A bowl of lukewarm peas were also brought out. A small, lukewarm Yorkshire pudding was also served. We spent a few minutes trying to get the attention of the waiting staff, (who looked flustered and overwhelmed) to ask for the 'unlimited red wine gravy' and some mint sauce. The cauliflower cheese was certainly not slow cooked. A little tepid and undercooked, sadly. Certainly not worth £2 extra. Regrettably the lamb was cold and chewey. We felt really sorry for the waiting staff, who were clearly let down by the kitchen on this occasion. Sad to say we will not return, but we'll try somewhere else next time.

Dirtee Feast provided a buffet for a 40th birthday celebration there was great communication during the planning stage and on the day the food was terrific everyone enjoyed it the staff were efficient and helpful

We have eaten here before on the first night they opened and food was good tonight my wife order a starter nachos this was served with tinned tomatoes and so salty could not eat it. I said it was not good and the server said I will get you someone to speak too you what was the point and they still charged full price we will not be coming back.

My friends and I attended today for a Sunday roast and were really disappointed. Service was slow, starters were cold, and the yorkie wraps were disappointing. No Stuffing available and just really poor overall. It took 2.5 hours to do 2 course. We spoke to the manager who was very pleasant and deducted money off our bill but none of us will be in a rush to return.

Absolutely the worst roast dinner ever. Overcooked vegetables, tasteless and the beef cut incorrectly, very tough,inedible.

Visited twice in one week whilst on holiday as a large group with small children. Staff were great and friendly and very accommodating of the children. Food was amazing especially the burgers! Would recommend!

Had a lovely meal here today and the staff was the cherry on top for us, the homemade brisket burger was perfectly cooked and juicy and you could tell also the batter for the fish was made fresh because of the colour and crispness of the batter, but as leaving met chefs (Gary & Dan) lovely guys and obviously have passion for what they do producing food that good !!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at the Seasides restaurant (inside the Churchill Tavern) last night. There's a new chef here with a new menu and it didn't disappoint. For mains I had chicken supreme and my husband had the brisket beefburger - both delicious. The service was excellent. There is always a relaxed atmosphere at Churchills and the staff friendly and welcoming.

We had booked a table for 10 for a family reunion well in advance. The staff seemed overwhelmed with this size of group and even though friendly enough, the whole experience was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. The vegetables were lukewarm not hot and worst of all, the gravy that was served in a separate jug was stone cold. Some people in our group decided to still have desert which they regretted once served. The sticky toffee pudding had the consistency of a bread and butter pudding, had ice crystals in the middle and was just not edible. The profiteroles had no cream inside and were basically some doughy bricks with cream squirted on the side. Complaining to the ‘manager’ was a pointless exercise as she was not focused on customer service and had no authority. We only got a ‘sincere’ apology and paid nearly £200 for the worst Sunday lunch. Not sure why the reviews are so positive. I certainly can’t recommend this place at all! I appreciate that times are tough for the service industry at the moment, but customer’s should still be able to expect a good level of service and edible food. Or turn the booking down if it’s too much to handle.

Ordered take out. Brisket Bugers plus sides, burger was excellent , pulled brisket on top was delicious, the best burger I've had for years. Can't wait to visit the restaurant , especially looking forward to their Mexican night.

We enjoyed the fresh mussels and king prawns to start. For main course, we both had the skate wing from the specials board, very fresh fish and good-sized portions, served with new potatoes and veg. Also the Crusader pale ale was excellent. For desert, we had a chocolate fudge cake, served with vanilla ice-cream and even a sliced strawberry added! Great venue with sea views. Glad to be back.
