Dine and Wine in Walsall

Went to Dine and Wine for my husband's birthday party. During our celebrations I belive manager said we should leave a restaurant because we've been over two hrs. (They didn't even serve a birthday cake).We've been shocked way she said this and pointed a watch. Nobody said anything when I've booked a table or when we showed up we have 2 hrs for dine. We spent extra money for cocktails, coffee and beers what was extra profit for a business (considering a fact in restaurant was only 4 tables max.). I won't recommend this place to anyone after I've been treated tonight!!!

I'll get to the point on this. There not reasonably priced, drinks are excluded but are bottomless. The food was ok, some dishes were bland and not to my liking but each to their own. Toilet facilities are upstairs, there is onsite parking but limited spaces. They mainly do Chinese and Indian food. They also do omelette, chips and fried fish. The main issue the price I could get better at zouq in star city.

We went at a lunch time, The food is lovely and well presented, both the Indian and Chinese food. But sadly none of the Chinese food was hot only luke warm.

Nice atmosphere, food is decent (the Chinese food, Indian food could taste better). Too bad didn’t have time to try sushi or anything else, they packed up the food at 9:30 and we weren’t informed nor asked if we want anything else so that was a bit disappointment.

They charge for babies. Who on earth charges a baby who is a year old for a buffet? Going back in there

slightly cautious on arrival as in Walsall and big signs on doors cash only , cash only everywhere you arrive at counter and old Chinese woman shouting "cash only" not "hello welcome", never mind. 1 child (under 150cm £7.50 ,2 adults £12.70 each on Sunday) shown to table and ordered bottomless drink (pops and including slush puppies) nice environment and large all you can eat Chinese and Indian fare including sushi bar , nice. lovely tasting food from starters to mains and plenty of full platters , food warm but fresh but that's buffets for you . good seating areas and plenty of fine cakes fruit and ice cream on tap for pudding just have little and often to try all dishes , daughter loved it . Will visit again.

Had really Good food and choices

Avoid this place if u actually want to fill your belly midway through my meal and they deside to unblock a blocked toilet as the resturante still running also paying more then what the foods worth and couldnt even eat 2 plates of food because of the smell of poo lingering all through the resturante

Went to Dine and Wine for mother's day it was great. We went today and they decided to unblock their pipes which left a horrendous smell so our party group stopped eating. The manager was so unprofessional and didn't deal with the situation instead gave us cheap beer and £3 vouchers to those who ordered soft drinks. Unfortunately because you have to pay cash before you can eat there was nothing we could do but definitely won't be returning.

Been here tonight with my partner Adrian Mosedale who is a massive regular of dine and wine he has been going in there since it opened He knows the staff And the staff know him Teriyaki bar Was the worst ever my partner complained It was sorted but it wasn’t sorted Because it was to late Worst experience spoilt our night My partner said they could have done something about it but didn’t don’t think will be going back and the staff know who we are cuz we regulars

Very nice excellent service and food good value

Used this place twice now not the best but ok for the money. They take cash only so be prepared and seem to be watching you all the while. Felt a bit rushed to finish but it was not packed or late in the day.

Good barely warm. Been to a couple of these all you can buffet restaurants and this would be our least favourite. Sushi had a hot dog sausages instead of fish 🤣

First time coming here, and it's been a while since I attended an 'all you can eat', so I was pretty excited. Paid around £24 for the 'bottomless', which included a drink, and there was a couple of quid on top with it being a bank holiday. There was a good choice of food including Indian, Asian, teppanyake and deserts. Beef in black bean sauce was the best I've ever had to be fair. Would go again, but I felt there are other all you can eats charging around the same price that have more choice.

I've been twice to this restaurant. First time was ok. Second time was great. I arrived fairly early in the service and all the dishes were very fresh. Very tasty. The staff a friendly and welcoming. Great selection of dishes and great music. They lost a point for being cash only.

I never write reviews but some bad ones I saw nearly put me and my partner off going, but we went on a whim anyway and didn’t regret it so needed to put it straight that the staff are actually so lovely and they do some of the best sushi i’ve ever had!!! Deffo be visiting again. Beautiful inside too.

Excellent buffet with plenty of choice and friendly staff. Unlimited refills on drinks which was great. Just be warned that it is cash only here. Would visit again.

Variety of foods and desserts to make your choice

Terrible experience on Mother’s Day, my mom choked on a piece of metal wire in her food. All the staff said was ‘oh sorry’ then offered to make her meal half price. Absolutely disgusting service and lack of food safety and hygiene standards. Food was low standard even for a buffet. Will not be returning and strongly advise against going here.

Food undercooked when approached manager he was very disrespectful and not helpful at all.

As you arrive the place doesn't look great from outside but don't let that fool you! And they only take cash. But the food it fantastic and the bottomless drinks are great.

When it first opened it was amazing I now find it very expensive and food quality is poor and the windows are awful with rotting food make up forks dirty serviettes needs a good clean

03/03/24 After reading some of the comments, I wasn't sure if I wanted to invite my friends here for my birthday, but I took the risk. Now I can say that it was great, the service was 100%, we really liked the food, everyone will find something for themselves, I highly recommend it. I don't know why the restaurant has so many unpleasant comments. They were very polite and helpful to me and my guests and the surprise was a happy birthday song 😃🙆 I'm satisfied. Thank you to all the staff for the warm welcome

Food is not fresh. Clearly from the day before. They refuse to restock the empty food trays. Very very rude staff. Woman come over screaming about drink refills when there is not option to refill with water! The combination of unfresh food mixed with that very rude chinese female staff member. We will not be going back & recommend much better options like Buffet Island, Cosmos, Ming Moon or Happy Lamb.

They made a loss of good amount with their rude and unprofessional behavior specially that idiot chef who has no manners at all. Thank God I didn't book a table there. Better go somewhere else where you'll be treated with respect.

Food and choice were good, but some of it could have been hotter. Kept very clean and tidy.

I went to take my boyfriend and I to have a date. We got there at 8:30pm and was told it closed at 10ish which tbh was enough time for us both to enjoy and eat The chocolate fountain was out but other than that food was wonderful However I get there will be families who have children but why the hell are you letting them scream and run around the restaurant It was stressful to hear and see and I wasn’t able to enjoy my meal as much Other than that 4/5

Very warm, pleasant atmosphere. Food for everyone's taste. There is definitely something to eat. You can order a birthday song or even a piece of cake with a candle... she brings her own cake, they bring the cake while singing 🤩😍 I really liked it. I can't eat very much, but I think everyone's taste can be satisfied here 😍😍😍 I recommend it 🤩 😍

Fantastic meal, loads of choice.

Senior staff were rude and not very considerate. Couldn’t grab your money off you quickly enough. I have been to other buffet restaurants where they treated us a lot better. Maybe the senior staff from this restaurant should go to others and see how to treat customers. Me and my family will not be going there again.

Went there tonight for my son’s 16th, booked it for 7pm didn’t get seated till about 20 past wasn’t really a big deal. My dad got spoken to very rudely, half way through our food I got approached by a member of staff it see if anymore of our party was coming I said 3 people hadn’t shown up. There was meant to be 29 of us but ended up been 26, for that member of staff to then moan about the seats not been used and said to one of my family members that whey was loosing money because there was 8 seats not been used, even tho they showed us to our seats. So it was their mistake, in the end we had to stop eating to pull our table up, so they could seat others. My husband had been spoken to rudely aswell when he asked if there was anymore pilau rice and got told there was other rice around so had to pick egg fried rice or chicken fried rice. Don’t think we will be going again

It's like a smaller version of cosmos any much better service and staff with good manners the foods fresh and tasty and I think it's worth every penny the beers nice in there and not over priced and they have a great selection of puddings it is cash only so make sure you've got some on you

Food good,choice good, bar prices high. Cash only which can be a pain if you hardly ever carry any. Atmosphere depends where you sit and who by. Can be very noisy. Good for celebrations.

Well suited eating establishment for allsorts, particularly families,, reasonably priced for eat as much as you like,,, my tip is to have small portions of everything from a range of Chinese, Japanese and Indian,,, the deserts a good too, cheaper and better value for money than anywhere else I've been to in Walsall and arguably the best all you can eat buffet I've eaten at.

Disappointing Experience: Poor Quality and Lack of Freshness "I recently visited Dine & Wine Buffet with my family on the 27th of December, hoping for a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, our visit was anything but satisfactory. Despite arriving just after 8 pm, well within their operating hours until 10 pm, we were met with a lackluster spread and stale offerings. The £70 we paid for three people and drinks felt exorbitant given the subpar quality of the food. The dishes were dry, barely replenished, and some items appeared far from fresh. The curry had unwelcome skins, and the teppanyaki meats had lost their appeal, showing signs of discoloration and unappetizing greyness. Even after addressing our concerns with the manager, the explanation that they reduce food towards the later hours didn't justify the noticeable drop in quality. As a regular guest, witnessing such a decline was incredibly disappointing. While I appreciate adjustments in quantity, compromising on quality is unacceptable, especially at a fixed price throughout the evening. Regrettably, I cannot recommend dining at Dine & Wine Buffet after 8 pm based on this disheartening experience. It's a shame to witness such a decline in a place that once held promise for enjoyable meals."

It’s not a bad buffet this one! There’s is a lot of options, all your usuals, Chinese, Indian, Sushi, even steaks on the evening, and some things are actually pretty good! The crispy seaweed, chicken tikka and salad bar are my go-tos and I thoroughly enjoy them every time. It’s priced well and you really can have a blast, £15 pp at lunch! (Adults) The staff are kind and will look after you, and the dessert section is large too, great because there’s always room haha. They only take cash so be warned, but there’s usually space so no need to book (don’t take my word for it lol). No doubt we will return once again, and recommend you do too!

Absolutely disgusting service. The lady come over shouting at an autistic child for using the wrong glass despite the fact he paid for a refillable. I paid £83 to be disrespected and embarrassed. They also wanted to charge £4 for a one year old child. Never again, don’t waste your money or time. The food was ok but the service ruined it.

I come here regularly with family as most other buffet restaurants don't have as good selection for the desserts & the choice of bottomless drinks with the slush machines included! Friendly welcomes & good byes every visit, Great food at great price 👌🏾 plus I like that I never need to reserve a table for small family visits. Love coming to eat at dine & wine

Went to Dine & Wine to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday. Unfortunately the customer service needs improvement. We were at the restaurant for a surprise meal so asked front of house if we can sit at the table that we pre booked, as we got there early for the surprise. The restaurant wouldn’t let us do this as they want you to pay before you sit at the table - which is fine. But the way this was communicated to us wasn’t great and we were being constantly watched by the lady in front of house like we were about to steal a chip. We continued to wait in the foyer area for the rest of our family to arrive and then was told that they only accept cash. No card machines are on site. This was a little surprising, we’re in 2023 and businesses still do cash only. We then had to walk to Asda to go to the cash machine. There are signs throughout the restaurant stating that if they think you are wasting food then they are allowed to charge you up to £50 for waste costs. That was also surprising to see. If you’re a buffet restaurant waste costs should be factored into the paying price per person. The food was ok, lots of options to choose from.

Have been here a few times now, great selection of good, got and tasty food (not so much at lunchtime) on an evening. Really big dining area that I've never seen too busy. Staff are so on the ball, clearing finished plates away and refreshing the food when it runs low. Definitely our favourite buffet place to go to

Not the best buffet I have ever visited, lots of different dishes to try- many were either warm or cold. Nicely decorated, and the place seemed clean enough. Not much for the signs saying if you waste food, you will be charged between £10 and £50.

Amazing amount of choice for food and drink! Slushy drinks included in the refillable drinks price, which was a nice surprise on a rare hot day this year. And great to have a chocolate fountain for dessert. Will definitely visit again!

Walsall Food!!! Visited Dine and Wine Buffet restaurant again, I can honestly say this is one of the food ones. Food seemed fresh, tasty, and plenty of it. Various sections, Chinese, seem to be the more prominent one, but they have British, Indian, Italian, and Japanese options!!! I am not a desert person, but there seemed to be a lot of options, including a refill soft drink and slush machine 🧋 Highly recommended the Salt and Pepper Prawns they are huge and super tasty. The hot plate options ranged from meat and fish, including steak, lamb, salmon, prawn, and beef strips. These also include vegetables and noodles, but I just had the lamb and salmon with onions and mushrooms. Service overall was good, I visited on a Monday, and it was busy. from the outside the building doesnt look nice but when you get in its looks good like chinese style . it is a good price for the food £10 for a kid and £20 pound for a adult its good because there is so many options of food it is a buffet it has chinese food , indian food and japanese food .

It's whatever you make it to be. I attended with my family ( brother, sister and her husband plus our mother and fathe) no kids for the evening we was able to fill our plates and stuff our faces with a variety of vegetarian food options. Only Downside is the lake of vegan food options and d vegan desserts. Overall it's an ok place to meet up and eat. Just wish the drinks were free.

We love this place and evertime we visit Walsall, we make sure not to miss it. Food is delicious, plenty of dishes to choose from, the chocolate fountain being the kids' favourite of course. 😁

We went for lunch around 1pm, there was a small variety of everyday food, nuggets, chips, mushrooms,pastas and sauces, a few different Indian currys with rice, also a mix of Chinese, Japanese food tastes..

Have never experienced such rude customer service. I was charged for 3 yr old child and politely asked the male by the counter do they charge for 3 yr old child. I received a response that yes, they do. I told him the website stated different information where it's said children below 150cm or the age 12 don't pay. I received a very aggressive response “THEN GO READ IT AGAIN!” Thank you for your professionalism, keep up the great job 👍🏻

Took my daughter here to lunch for her 30th, prices are really reasonable. We all enjoyed the variety of food, there was Indian, Chinese, the hot and sour soup was beautiful, as was the crispy shredded chicken and the Indian starters. My daughter loved the sushi and noodles, something for all of us, couldn't fault it My son who is picky, had chicken nuggets and chips. For dessert The blueberry cheesecake and lemon meringue pie was so light and fluffy. We certainly had quite a bit to eat. Staff were friendly and plates were cleared quickly. Will definitely be going again.

Refill drinks and no water . Ice cube is made from tap water and stink chlorine. Cake and all sweets in low standard. You can taste monosodium glutamate in many dishes .

Came here last Saturday 13th May 23 food was great as usual very friendly and great value for money highly recommend

Sadly the quality has gone down the hill, I use to go every other weekend, however I was disappointed for my last two visits, the sweet and sour chicken was from the day before ( if not from 2 days ago) it was very hard with more than one coating, the same for the beef sweet chilli. Not to mention they are accepting cash only now, unfortunately I’m not going to be returning back.

What's not to like, lunch Sunday prior to cinema lunch £12.50. Drinks extra. Buffet Chinese and Indian and deserts. Loads of food. Great value for money. Great company of friends.

We went to tace place to celebrate and is was 20 people they can’t even put tables in one place that 20 people can be together they gave 2 tables separate, customer service not bad, food not enought choise you can eat once and after that is nothing to try because that less choice of food. Didn’t like because for everythink you need to pay cash when every one use now card machines.
