Didcot Kebab in South Oxfordshire

Poor customer service by being unfriendly. Got my delivery order completely wrong by giving me something not even close to what I asked for. As it late they did not answer so i couldn’t change what i received (i appreciate they have a closing time and that I should of checked my order before paying on my doorstep but didn’t want to make the delivery man wait in the rain, still my fault if want to make sure you have what i’d paid for i know ). Honestly the most greasy food i’d ever received in my life, like next level awful even my portable food destroying hound who’d eat almost his own rotten bad droppings would only pick at after smothered in my mayo. I’m sure I’ll pay for that as well in the long run if you get me. Also i don’t understand why they can’t provide “fried” onions when have a flat top grill 4ft long?? I’ve also heard other customers asking the same with no give to make the customer happy. Just unfriendly atmosphere with no banter or seemingly happiness to deal with customers. So disappointed and i’ve been numerous times being a lazy kebab lover and being closest to my pit. Only myself to blame when obvious the service and quality of food I’ll receive. Pull your finger out and travel an extra 5 mins to get a meal your be happy with. Avoid this place if at all possible even if starvation is a serious possibility, your be happier wasting away from malnutrition then eating here i foresee . 👎🏻

Ordered food here plenty of times. normally a last resort kind of thing. Tonight was awful. the cans of drink smelt like cat sick so plonked right back on the front desk. put us off our dinner so thrown away. talked to the manager and they dont even check the stuff when it comes in. will definitely not be recommended from me.

The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. We even received a complimentary drink bottle. The kebab, both doner and shish, needed a bit more seasoning and a lot more sauce. However, the chips and the burger were great

Excellent food absolutely loved it. We had 22 people staying overnight and we fed them all with the food from the shop. It was brilliant.

Taste is good and that quantity was perfect for the prize

One of the better Kebab shops in the area on lower Broadway. I'd avoid the one on upper Broadway IK!

Awful, delivery website got my order wrong and the food turned up cold and unpleasant! Manager refused to do anything about it. Don't order from here if you want a decent kebab, go to instanbul kebab.

Depending on the day & time you: can get tasty fresh food here, with nice staff, OR not so good, hard to chew, cold chicken kebab & chips, with less kind staff. Warming it up in a frying pan is not only time consuming, but will make the meat even harder. Disappointed!

Serving old and smelly doner had to argue with the worker to make me a fresh doner or give me a refund and told me it’s not old doner it’s just how it’s ment to be so I told him just give me my money back. Would rather have a Tesco meal deal than go to this place

How did they make the website even more egregious. First it's the insane price hike, then it's the "free bottle of drink if you spend over £60 on cheap kebab and boned chicken", now it's flashing images and multiple confirm boxes to try and get you to spend at least 60 for a bottle of soft drink. It's shameful

Ordered a mixed doner last night, it had loads of meat and was really good value for money. The fried chicken was very tasty too, I will definitely be ordering from here again! 😋

Absolute joke! Ordered online for collection and when I arrived at the time told it was closed, absolute waste of money ! Whilst stood outside I called them to ask if I was still able to collect my food and saw the lady pick up the phone then immediately decline my call, waste of time and money !!

Ordered, and accidentally put wrong number on address so called back up to rectify. Once food was delivered they missed items off the order, one of the meals (donner meat and chips) were freezing cold. When phoned to explain the issue staff were appauling and rude. And refused to sort it out. Waste of money will not be ordering from them again.

Very good never had a bad take away yet. Very friendly very busy efficient service.

This place really has gone downhill, burgers are awful, tiny portions, kebab meat full of fat and grease the staff are rude and don’t what ever you do eat the chicken Puts raw chicken on the grill with tongs then picks up cooked chicken with the same tongs and puts in the pita bread !!!!!!! Shocking !!!!!!!

I had Didcot kebab last night with my partner and my mum I have been ill since I ate there chicken I have been throwing up all morning I will definitely not recommend this takeaway at all

I ordered last night and the food didn't arrive but the money was taken from my account, when I called today and asked for a refund they were very rude and refused to give my money back. Also the last time I ordered the food was cold and stale. 100% wouldn't recommend

Chicken wings full of oil and smells rancid oil. Chips were good. Pizza was thick and not good. Disappointed

average kebab shop extremely expensive had a mixed gill kebab £18 2 chicken 2 koftas, Shisha and a small handful of donner meat . Don’t get me wrong the food is average , but , the portions are tiny for what you pay for. Food 3/5 price 1/5 portions 1/5 .

Best kebab in didcot. My favourite is the combination lamb donor / lamb shish. The chicken wings aren't bad either

man... this was a good mix kebab. also the garlic sauce you make is perfect; its rare to actually find this in the UK

Ordered food and took money (on thier own website). No food and was shut for a week!

Used to be good but has gone downhill, the last time I ate chicken from there I was ill for 3 days. Edit: its open till 1am which is an improvement, haven't been ill from them in a while which maybe means they have got better.

Tried to charge me £25 for donner kebab and 2 chips, when challenged price dropped by more than £5. This was Friday night and thought I was drunk. They take advantage of vulnerable people and the food is rubbish! Only reason to go there is because the superior kebab shop is shut. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!

The chicken wings were extremely hard and very dry, and the chips were pretty solid too. That said, I did go in and order at around midnight, shortly before closing, so perhaps the food I received was just the remaining batch of wings/chips of the night, and thus not fresh and up to the better standard usually served. I also can't speak for any of their other food offerings, but the staff were pleasant and the takeaway was clean and tidy.

Amazing chicken shish this evening. We have relatives in Cyprus so we may have had our fair share of chicken kebab, and this was as good as anything you would get on the island! After a week of isolation this was just what we needed!!!! Awesome!!

I go to Didcot Kebab about once a week to get donners for the family. I like the place, there donners are spicier than the other alternatives in Didcot.

Place the order at 3.30 pm for 5pm and at 6pm still waiting for.

Excellent kebabs, not had a pizza or chicken yet but they all look very tasty. Proper homemade chilli / garlic sauces. House special kebab easily feeds a family of 4 but does require you to buy another portion of chips as it only comes with one.

The food is OK. You can get far better quality & better tasting food further up the street but ofcourse the price goes up. If you have had a few drinks and just need a quick fix then opt for Didcot Kebab as it's cheaper and your taste buds won't be bothered much anyway. But if you want to enjoy some good quality kebab brunch and savour it whilst enjoying a night in then pay a few extra quid and go up the street to Istanbul!

Great kebabs. Friendly staff. I left a 5 star review in 2018. I have just ordered 3 kebabs for delivery (lamb doner, chicken kebab and lamb shish kebab) at 5:30pm on a Friday night during lockdown 2. They arrived within 30 minutes and were all spot on. 5 star still 😁

Messed are order up, when contacting they didn't care. This was a poor outfit!

Normally the food is OK, a 3.5 or 4 maybe, but tonight the food was superb. Ordered the Mix Grill kebab which has all the grilled meats on it, and each one was cooked to absolute perfection. Would recommend.

Poor! Overpriced for hardly any food... Watching a guy behind the counter scrimping with the donor meat like he's saving up. Yet he plasters my food with sauce Embarrassing

Proper Döner and Köfte with heaps of fresh salad and pickled chilies. Flatbread toasted on the grill, all smokey BBQ deliciousness. And the crispiest and therefore best chips for miles. Just beautiful!

Typical late night takeaway open until midnight, selling a range of kebabs, burgers, chips jacket potatoes, pizza. Reasonable price large lamb donnor for £6.90 at time of writing.

Never accept orders on Just Eat. Have tried four times within a month and they always cancel after a while. Should remove themselves off the app if that is the case, instead of wasting my time.

Unfriendly very offence staff!!! Short tempered staff! I asked for more viniger he tipped half of bottle of salt and vinegar and ruined my food on purpose

Can't take a simple order. Terrible service the last 6 times ordering here(don't have take outs often, family have wanted to oder from here) Requested that all food be in paper rather than in the none eco friendly polystyrene containers and that was completely ignored. Asked for a plain pitta with lettice and mayo no meat (to add my own veggie mix as all they offer is a horrible veggie burger with no taste) and chips again Completely ignored the request. When phoned about the matter they verbally apologised and offered no further action Incredibly disappointing

Usually ok but last order was awful. The chips were reheated and the diner meat with chicken sish combo had 2 bits of chicken. No point telling them what salad to put on or not as they'll load it with everything anyway Delivered within 25 minutes, and obvious how on a Friday night

Took payment over the phone before telling me i had to wait 20mins for my collection ! As they had no wings ready ?

Day by day worst and worst I do not recommend this place to anyone ,better to wait until closing down and someone new will take it over with hope for fresh and tasty food not as now;-(

I would not recommend this place. They mixed up our order and refused to change but then demand back what they had mixed up still refusing to change our order so we was stuck eating what we didn't want nor like. They was also extremely rude not only just over the phone but at my own door. If I could rate this no star I would.

Customer service of a low standard only bought some chips so I can't judge the food that much.

Not helpful what so ever, do not like when you ask for extra sauce, will charge you for anything they do for you, they cook raw meat next to their cooked meat, will never use this place again, the manager got a problem and is very arrogant

Guys always happy to see you, nothing you ask for is a problem, I recommend the pizza!

Like David said, you pay cheap you get cheap. I have eaten here and cant really fault their kebabs but you get what you pay for. as for the rats, it will destroy business!

I'm a regular here - the Chicken Shish is knockout. Always fresh, cooked while you wait. No hesitation in recommending this place.

My experience with this Take away is TERRIBLE! Very arrogant on the phone , food not always fresh specially CHIPS ! All salads are different depending person and understanding.... never order again never !

Ignore the soggy kebab picture. Never had anything like this so doesn't represent my experience. Chicken kebabs are the best around. Only recently moved to the area and already a regular purchase. Lovely guys as well.

Wrong pizza, only gave 2 bits of chicken instead of 5 like the meal says! And the kebab was like plastic and really rubbery, very poor food will not be eating from there again
