tomato salad at 6.50, unripe nearly frozen look like lidl tomatoes with a handful of rocket and a ton ( I mean a TON ) of Balsamic. Amateur crap. Not what you expect when you order a tomato salad from somewhere supposedly italian. Tomatoes are better room temp?. Stick to the pizza which is fine. Last thing, your toilets need sprucing up, I wouldn't say dirty, no actually I would.. off putting. Dissapointed in the lack of general effort.. No love here.

Amazing traditionally made breads with a beautiful mosaic covered forno. Delicious calzone and tiramisu. The meatballs are popular and go quickly! Go as soon as you are able to!

Absolute rip off £60 for 2 pizzas and 2 small portions of pasta and a few Olives will never return to this establishment again the food was ok nothing special and they never even sliced the pizzas RIP OFF !!!!!!!

people try to like what they do, the establishment is clean and the staff is friendly, there is a tip not to pour too much sauce on the pizza, I say this as someone who lived in Italy for 20 years and worked in a pizzeria 😀 and another Napoletana pizza is a good marketing move yes as there are no Italians there 😀

Really good pizza, large size. I definitely recommend. Very nice service. We were with a dog, they let us sit outside without any problem. The dog even got water that we didn't ask for, so thank you very much for that.

Love love love this place. The best pizzas I've ever eaten. The service is second to none, so friendly yet professional. I really enjoy an Aperol spritz from time to time and often bars and restaurants get the mix so wrong. Not Di Scala they do a totally delicious Aperol spritz. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and we were really impressed. The quality and freshness of the food was excellent and everything we ate was delicious. We were particularly impressed with the meatballs although everything was gorgeous. The service was also great. We will definitely be back.

The meatballs in tomato sauce are the nicest I’ve ever tasted, I can’t stop thinking about them! The pizza and breads were top notch too. It has that family feel and the service is warm and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place and I’ll be back there soon!

Went with my family for dinner tonight. They both got pizza and I got the pasta meatballs and honestly it was the best thing I've ever eaten. The sauce was unreal and the meatballs were such good quality. Everyone was so lovely as well...will definitely return soon and recommend to friends.

Absolutely the best pizza take out ever! I am very very picky about my pizzas, this isn’t your average take out, it’s restaurant quality with delicious ingredients and cooked to perfection. We usually take out but I would not think twice about eating in or taking out here whilst supporting a lovely family local business.

Friendly, superb quality food and drinks.

A group of about 8 of us visited here at around tea time on a Thursday. The staff were so friendly and all the food was delicious, lovingly prepared by Anna. The meatballs were amazing as were the pizzas and pasta dishes. Great choice of drinks - a variety of Peroni beers and imported Italian wines. We all had a great time and would definitely go again.

This is an absolute hidden gem. This small restaurant in maghull could honestly be in the running forvthe best pizza in liverpool. We got a margherita and napoletana pizza and both were excellent and were very authentic and high quality pizzas. Staff were lovely and there is a nice and informal atmosphere. This is a genuine hidden gem.

Phenomenal job. I'm visiting from London and was desperate for good-quality pizza. The space was very welcoming and the food did not disappoint at all. I ordered a 14" margarita, meatballs and a tiramisu which fed my dad and my grandfather! Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive and we're very satisfied. Well done to the Di Scala's.

We visited here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, made fresh to order and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend it to others and we would also return in the future.

Just got the polpetta for £13.50. Sounds great on the menu but when you recieve the pizza and (only 4) meatballs separately, you have to put them on the pizza yourself, aswell as cut your own pizza. Its really hard to give this place even a single star. Pizza didnt taste great either and for £13.50 i wont be back but at least the dog has now had a good dinner.

Really nice fresh pizza dough which is a rarity in most restaurants. You can tell it they don’t freeze it here. Highly recommend number 4 on the menu.

Been coming to Di Scala for some time now with my partner both to pick up for take away and to eat in. I'm a bit of an authentic pizza buff and very picky when it comes to supposed authentic neapolitan pizza but I can honestly say this place never ever dissapoints. One of my favourites by far! Staff are always lovely and friendly. And the food has always been delicious. Deffinately a hidden gem in the Maghull area!!

Best pizza I've tasted in the country

Went here tonight for a quiet meal with a couple of the family to celebrate new year, the food was absolutely beautiful. I loved watching the lady preparing our food, she was absolutely lovely. The gent who served us was amazing, so attentive, polite and really cared. Beautiful little gem and the best Italian food I have had locally and surrounding. We had a mixture of different things but I have to say the pasta dishes were amazing! X

Truly authentic Italian cuisine in the napoletan tradition. A friendly welcome, menu with pasta, pizza, starters, side dishes and delicious desserts with occasional specials such as lasagne. Last time I tasted Italian food of this quality was in a top restaurant in Milan. And they're really nice and interesting people. Highly recommended!

Always great food, great service and great value! Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten and delighted to have it so close to home. We get a lot of pizza to go and love doing this on a Friday or Saturday night but if you haven't eaten in the restaurant you HAVE to try the pizza as it leaves the oven!

Food was absolutely delicious and couldn't ask for better service. They even made my 1 year old a pasta not on their menu. Eight of us in total and every single one of us loved this restaurant, their food and the staff. So welcoming and accommodating. We visited DiScala right before the 2nd lockdown and it was really nice. The pizzas were amazing (we had the DiScala pizza and the special calzone) and the service was excellent and very helpful. Definitely going back!

Love this place so much, I prefer it to other Neapolitan places nearby (e.g., Il Capitanos). I typically order pizzas, but I've always been extremely happy with everthing else that I've ordered. I've tried lots of pizzas in the local area, and further afield, but this is still my favourite by some distance. If I'm being honest, it has ruined me for pizza anywhere else. Every time I go elsewhere, I can't help but be disappointed that they're not as good as Di Scala, even other Neapolitan places. I can honestly say that Di Scala is one of the best pizza places anywhere I've ever visited. Can't wait until my next visit!

Di Scala serves up the best pizzas in Liverpool by far. Fresh ingredients, put together with amazing care and attention make up the finest pizzas I’ve tasted outside of Italy and New York. The owners are friendly, the staff welcoming and attentive, you simply cannot fault this place. If you want authentic Italian pizza without having to get on a plane, Di Scala is the place to go!

Ate here with my boyfriend and it was excellent. We had the antipasto board which is such good value and then had the prosciutto crudo pizza and the salami pizza. The tables were all spaced out and it felt very safe with the covid restrictions....

Very tasty pizzas, very light pizza dough and the topping tasty. Ready in 30 mins. Cheesy garlic bread very cheesy. Had them as takeaway. The only downside is parking is a bit difficult around the shop.

Tasty. Table for 6 and 5 pizzas and all cooked to perfection. . So so tasty. The oven is built and you can watch pizza enter the burning oven. Service super. Clean tidy and will visit again soon. Prices for eating in are pretty good and affordable. Range of beers and drinks too.
