Lovely golf course with friendly golfers and staff. No idea about the rooms

Reason for trip. Golf break. Arden course 10/10. A stunning experience. Aylesford course 5/10. Rooms are dated, no A/C. Beds are comfy. Service was appalling. Bar staff were inept, untrained, unable to pour certain drinks. Zero customer service skills. Buffet was average at best. Again the staff are untrained, lacking in service skills, disinterested. Put in a room with other large groups sharing. Breakfast was excellent. Overall - hugely disappointed with the venue and the extremely poor service and attention to detail. However, if you are a golfer the Arden is a must play course.

We booked a spa break at the hotel. First time trying any spa break and it was very good. The hotel was at a good location. The grounds were well maintained with lots of pretty flowers. The check in was easy and we managed to check in earlier than expected which meant we didn't have leave things in our car to rush to spa treatment. The spa treatment place was quiet, seemed we were the only customers at the time. We had the full body massage and it was as expected. We then made use of the leisure facilities which included the gyms, swimming pool, sauna. The steam room was out of order. The changing room only had 1 space for people to get changed in private. They did have conditioner which most places wouldn't have. We then went for our dinner which was included in the package. It was busy but the service was below standard. We had to wait for so long for the waiting staff to take orders, and for the food to come out. It seemed they were short staffed considering the staff to table ratios. The food was delicious though. Really loved the salmon and the broccoli polonaise. The pastry pudding was also very nice. Finding the room and places were a bit difficult. The lifts were not working when we were there so had to walk 2 flights of stairs and then through long windy corridors to get from reception to our room and vice versa. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. Full English buffet and full continental. Lots of different choices of tea and coffee, juices. Check out was easy again. We wanted to walk around before we left but it looked like it was mainly for the golfers...so we left. We had a lovely stay and will consider coming back.

Attended step sons wedding. Only 2 blue badge parking.bays. 2nd lift wasn't working, this is not acceptable when you have disabled guest. Rooms were all mixed up!!!! Due to lack of lift we had to be rellocated to ground floor.This meant no walk in shower so couldn't use!!!@. I have reported to disability guys as having a working lift should be a priority.

Lovely hotel set in the countryside, with golf course. Rooms are slightly dated, however fit for purpose. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast is amazing.

2 rounds , one night break in 30 degree heat! The staff were amazing in the restaurant, and the course was in superb condition.

Dropped in for a bite to eat on a Saturday evening. Restaurant full so ended up in the bar area. Insufficient bar staff with some obviously having almost no experience making for a very slow and muddled bar service. Fortunately I was taken under tge wing of a gentleman by the name of something Thomas, who expedited my order. He seemed to have an eagle eye on the bar service activity, directing waiting staff to correct tables and generally smoothing over the rough edges of service. The speed of food arriving, once ordered, was exemplary and the waiting staff polite and friendly. The quality of food and flavour was top notch, it exceptional value for money. Although a satisfactory experience with very helpful staff, I doubt I will return as it was a rowdy crowd in the venue with voices becoming louder and louder. Which is a pity as the location and layout would indicate a calmer environment.

Honestly, I could not fault the stay I had here at the Forest Of Arden Hotel & Country Club. The breakfast and dinner buffets were plentiful and delicious and the golf was amazing. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were large. Loved it and will go back for sure. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a romantic night away here last weekend and we had such a wonderful experience.  I have never had such a warm welcome and seen staff smile so much, from reception to the restaurant to the cleaners, nothing was too much trouble.  There was a wedding on that day and the restaurant was full for dinner but you wouldn’t have known as this didn’t affect the customer service we received, and the sound proofing must have been good as we didn’t hear anything of the wedding.  I was particularly impressed by breakfast as usually with a full restaurant staff would struggle to keep on top of replenishing food and other items but this was not the case at all, there was plenty of everything that we needed, and, as always, service with a smile.  We were really happy with the food for both dinner and breakfast.  Cocktails in the bar after dinner were delicious.  The room was great, very clean quiet and well furnished.  I liked that we could open the windows as I hate air con (very drying / noisy). I also liked that there was a mini soap and mini toiletries as so many hotels have moved onto larger dispensers now, and biscuits on the tea tray, another tradition that seems to be dying out.  This is a traditional hotel doing it properly and doing it well.  We were delighted with our stay.

Super golf course, very nice location A+++++

Let's be honest as I' don't know who writes those reviews.... Excuse me ...but for that price of food!!! I was expecting at least some standard Even weatherspoon does better Steaks ffs... highly not recommended the restaurant....in my opinion it's dramatic

We paid 209 for a one night stay and upgraded our room. The room was clean but very tired with ripped furniture and a very dated bathroom. Check in was non existent, simply given a key card. No explanation of where the room was and where bars spa and restaurant was located or the times of service or checkout time. This led to a maze of corridors to try and find our room but the worst aspect of our stay was the food. The starter was absolutely appalling, it wasn’t what we ordered and arrived with three lumps of unidentified battered blobs with a cup of chilli water. We ordered salmon for the main and unfortunately had to spell salmon to the staff member as they didn’t know what we meant. That arrived with the obligatory little basket of overcooked fries. Just really awful. We ordered a bottle of white wine, two glasses of rose arrived It is an extremely busy hotel to the detriment of service and quality. The bar was overflowing so struggled to find a seat and the staff were doing their best to cope but queues all the time. The spa area was nice and the staff in there friendly and helpful. This is nowhere near deserving of being a four star hotel. It appears the ethos is cram them in and charge them high. No attention to detail no nice touches no personal service and appalling food.

We were staying for a convention at the NEC and the location was really convenient. The hotel was lovely and clean. The room was a good size with everything we needed. We were not there much but we did have breakfast and that was very nice.

Hotel very well located a few kilometers from Birmingham Airport. The rooms are very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms are very spacious. It has a Health club. Recommendable.

Evening meal in restaurant was not very good, food was average but service very slow and orders often incorrect. The room was alright, and breakfast was good.

Went on a package which included a stay overnight, 18 holes on both courses and breakfast and dinner. The Arden course was really excellent in everyway, worth the trip alone. The Aylesford course was ok, but I wouldn't be in a rush to play it again. The hotel was nice and breakfast/dinner buffet both hit the spot. The bar area is ok, though they could do with more outside space I think. I would be keen to go again.

Stayed for 2 nights, played two rounds of golf and had breakfast / dinner included. Rooms - very clean. Seemed quite old, could do with some upgrades. The shower pressure was very poor, was almost dripping at times. Golf - The Arden course was super and in great condition as well, the Aylesbury was an ok course. In good condition but as it’s right next to the motorway, it’s very loud. The Arden is significantly longer and more enjoyable. Food - buffet lunch and breakfast, both very tasty

Nice estate and swimming pool with restarting/lounge attached. Food excellent 👌. Room looks a bit dated and chair looked well past it. No bedding automatically provided for the sofa bed which we were going to use for our little boy.

Generally decent hotel, staff all lovely, rooms are a little tired but parts of the hotel are very old, we stayed Easter weekend and it was busy but never felt crowded. Breakfast was OK had all the usuals. No different options though like pancakes or omelette. Would stay here again if visiting NEC

A really warm friendly hotel with plenty to do, I ate so much while I was here! The restaurant food was great anytime of day. And the staff were so attentive. I stayed 3 nights and used everything! Sauna, steam, an empty pool! Loved it for the price.

The rooms are very tired & need an overall. The bathroom for sure was so unpredictable from the shower not working well to the toilet, not having the most powerful of flushes. They could do with more choices on the bar menu as very limited. The breakfast was not the best, especially the coffee. I get better flavours of caffeine from Aldi

My business made a booking through Marriot for 2 rooms for a conference. The hotel was being taken over at the same time so when I arrived, I was told that the hotel had no booking for us. After a lot of time, the hotel said that they could book us in but we would have pay for rooms up front. I said that this was a business booking and Marriot had taken the business card details. The hotel said that this info was not transferred across. I asked if I could pay when I leave, I was refused this and I made to pay for the room upfront. My colleague joined me and the same thing happened to him. Neither of us we told anything about the facilities, dining or even pointed to our rooms. The room itself was very outdated and so was the whole hotel, i could see why this was no longer a Marriot hotel. At dinner, we were asked our room numbers but were then asked to pay for the meals at the end of the meal. I have never been to a hotel and asked to pay for everything up front and at no time did I feel that the hotel wanted to treat me as a guest. Will not be staying here again.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful. We went to look at joining the fitness spa. Had a lovely coffee and cheesy chips after in the bar. An wonderful experience all round.

Hotel rooms are comfortable, spacious and reasonably priced. Lots to offer on site such as golf, spa, restaurant, bar, gym etc. staff are friendly and accommodating with any needs.

Such a poor planning and customer service. Stated 3pm check-in. And it’s a group booking. We travelled 5hrs all the way and waited another hour on the top at reception to check in. Check in started 4pm. It clearly shows your negligence and the attention you’re paying to your customers.

This was our first visit to this beautiful hotel. Its in a little rural area away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Its around 15min drive away from Birmingham City centre. The staff are really lovely, I rang for a bucket of ice to be delivered to our room, and the connection on the phone cut off, a few minutes later one of the front desk receptionist knocked on our door to see if everything was ok, and if we needed anything. I have never experienced this in other hotels, they are very hospitable. The breakfast was lovely and really enjoyed it, the swimming pool is a bonus, it's just the right depth for adults to swim in and for kids also, just be aware they do have swimming lessons in the same pool also so there is a division. Overall can't fault this hotel. Would recommend for your getaway to Coventry or Birmingham 😊

Looks dated but very clean and staff are friendly and very helpful

Fantastic experience / stay. We got upgraded, the staff were super friendly and caring. Breakfast was very abundant. Parking is free. Spa has the whirlpool, sauna and steam room: all were working. 5 stars will deserved. 👍🏻

Some of the bedrooms are a bit tired, but it's a great hotel location, with excellent food options and service, and the meeting facilities are good too.

At first glance this hotel was a dream, until I actually got there with a friend. To start off the hotel is exactly in the middle of nowhere, if you don't drive its at least a 10 minute Uber to leave the country club and get anywhere near civilisation. Our stay was particularly cold, it was -7°c outside, the old building (which felt like it was used to film The Shining movie) does not have air con and the single radiator was not enough to heat the room on the rare occasion it was actually working. The swimming pool is weirdly awkward to get to, and when we did eventually make our way in we were met with off-coloured water with a lovely touch of mucus film floating on top. Room service was equally as tragic and topped of the rest of the stay, disregarding the rude and cold attitude of the front desk staff, our drinks were forgotten for over an hour and when requested for a second time, took another 20 minutes to arrive to our room. (2 soft drinks.) Overall, overpriced and undermanaged.

Stayed for works Xmas do, the best meal we have had, food hot and fresh, very tasty. Lovely staff, started with warm welcome, but all staff friendly! Grate breakfast, loads of choice and they have a chef just doing omelets. We had ground floor room overlooking 1st tee, quiet, large comfortable room.

The hotel looks very tired (tatty old carpets) and in my opinion old fashioned. It was all OK but nothing special. From what I saw of the grounds, they looked nice but unfortunately, my bedroom overlooked the car park!

This hotel is in a lovely rural location but only approximately 20 minutes from centre of Birmingham. There is a lovely golf course and nice spa facilities. We had a lovely comfortable, clean room and this included breakfast which was amazing. There was everything you could think of available at breakfast and it all looked of good quality. We tried most items over the couple of days we were there and it was lovely, especially the freshly made omelettes. We had a snack in the bar restaurant called zest and this was good value for money and tasty. There is a cast iron grill restaurant too but we didn't use that facility. The pool, steam room and sauna were great and the changing rooms were clean. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was unavailable at the time we visited. This is a quality hotel and we will definitely be back. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Highly recommended.

Company Christmas party at this hotel. Good venue some restrictions which were a little strange.. Waiters were not great. Took drinks away that were not finished and not the quickest bar staff. Breakfast was really good.

Stayed one night and the hotel hosted our work Christmas party Couldn't really fault it. Amazing big comfy, clean beds. Clean bathroom, plenty of refreshments. Only small negative was that the shower didn't have much pressure. Other than that, absolutely top banana. Thank you

I have stayed here many times over the last 30years. Staff are wonderful and breakfast is great.

Spent a really nice night here. The hotel is a bit dated and need of a face lift. The staff were great, really friendly and attentive. Dinner was good but confusing, I think we had four different menus to choose from 🤪 the bar prices were way too high... £30 for two G&T and you couldn't even get peanuts! However the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've seen in the UK 👍🏼 The leisure facilities were good - pool, sauna & steam room but again showing signs of wear & tear (locker doors falling off their hinges, paint peeling etc). Overall, a really nice stay, we would go back but in Feb 24 it will no longer be in the Marriott chain 🙄😏 shame.

Very quite environment, not bad

Set in beautiful woodlands next to a golf course, a very impressive long drive to the hotel.Only 2 disabled parking spaces near reception.

Had a lovely 5 night stay here in a family room with my wife & 2 kids. Room was spacious and well equipped. Reception, bar & restaurant staff were friendly and attentive- the standout was a guy called Rio. Kids loved the pool my minor quibble was the hot tub found have been a few degrees warmer. We’re not golfers but the course was stunning & most morning we witnessed 20 or so deer gathering there. Lots of things nearby & easy route in to Birmingham city centre. Felt all in all it was great value and I’d happily stay here again.

A great venue for golf group's. The bars were occasionally short staffed but always friendly and helpful. A great 3 night break with amazing golf courses. The cast iron grill was great value for a big group.

Great fun! Elvis really looked after us all. We were a group of 9 ladies celebrating a 60th birthday. We played 3 days and had 3 nights dinner bed and breakfast. Well done to all the staff in the restaurant. Thank you Matthew and Chanini. The Arden course was better than the Aylesbury course. The Aylesbury being pretty noisy next to the road. Would definately go back there again.

Lift wasn't working but otherwise fine. Did not realise there was no Aircon in the room at time of booking otherwise would have booked another room.

Amazing golf with an amazing venue

Great place for a golf holiday drinks a bit expensive but it's only a one off

We have just spent the weekend at this Hotel for my wifes Birthday. The hotel is beautiful with a good pool and sauna facility but what made it was the staff. They were truly outstanding with so many personal touches for her, including towels in the shape of a cake to get things started. Special mention to Sogand and Matthew who were superb and their teams, Avani, Aslam, Ajith, Ajay, Sachin, Megham, Kally and Lawrena. We will certainly be revisiting. Thank you.

We chose Delta Hotel by Marriott Forest of Arden Country Club to spend a very pleasant weekend. It was an excellent decision. The journey through a small forest was very interesting. We reached the reception around 1 am and confirmed the pre-reserved room. We received a warm welcome and support from there. The room we got was quite good. It was an old style constructed bedroom. Breakfast was included in the package.What needs to be mentioned is the behavior of the restaurant (Cast Iron Bar&Grill) manager Mathew and assistant manager Aslam towards the customers. They were so humble and ready to help the customers to get a comfortable environment. And their team members are also to be commended.The food was fresh and delocious. The buffet option is also available from 6pm on every Saturdays. Plenty of facilities like spa treatment, swimming pool, steam bath, hot bath, jacuzzi, golf course site seeing etc is available here for those who want to enjoy their holidays. We had a wonderful time here. We really enjoyed our stay. A must visit place for families and couples.

A really depressing, tired hotel that is clearly trading on its grounds and golf course. I had the unfortunate displeasure of staying here for one evening and it was one night too long. Whilst the grounds are lovely and I am sure the golf course is a big draw the actual hotel accommodation is tired, depressing and falling apart (see photos). If you weren’t depressed before you arrived you will be when you see the rooms. The communal areas have seen better days with rustic (rough) internally rendered walls, threadbare carpets, peeling wallpaper, a broken lift and PVC leather look chairs that are worn out or knocked about. The staff were very pleasant but you can see that they look dead behind the eyes having to work in an environment that would knock the enthusiasm out of the most optimistic of team members….I hope the Marriott Group take a long hard look at this review and take action….just make sure you’re not staying on the third floor as I was with luggage, as the lift doesn’t work and you’ll have to do the walk of shame to your 80s artexed room! Shame on you Marriott Group, maybe your aptly named hotel “Delta” is directly related to the best and worst of your hotels…this one firmly in the latter of the two…

Grounds of the hotel are really lovely but that's about all the positive words I have. Hotel needs a complete refurbishment. It's dated and dirty and will definitely not return.

A nice hotel, very good breakfast, it was a buffet but food was fresh both mornings we ate there, only downside was that the AC wasn’t working, it was fine for our stay because it wasn’t that hot but could be uncomfortable in the peak of summer, the room did have two fans on standby, overall would stay there again

Friendly staff, good rooms, good food and good golf, but beer £6.50 a pint and Malbec £36 a bottle. Perhaps I'm living in the past, but that is expensive to me.

I stayed overnight and attended a conference. Staff were very polite and provided good service. The room is standard rooms cleaned and with essentials (not very modern). There is leisure facilities and golf ground. There is also bars and restaurants and a golf shop.

Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate birthdays for my wife and parents which are all around the same time. I've dropped 2 stars for the following reasons: 1 Lack of recognition for elite members: As a Titanium Elite member (recently demoted from Ambassador), I have high expectations on how I'm treated and perks (based on stays at other Bonvoy hotels). A big reason I choose to book Marriott Bonvoy hotels is that I leave the hotel feeling special. Sadly my expectations were not met on this occasion due to: - no free drinks or snacks offered in lieu of no lounge. Other hotels have offered these and one even offered a free dinner for my wife and me. - although the hotel made some efforts to leave nice treats in rooms for the birthdays, they were addressed incorrectly to me (rather than others) and some gifts were forgotten about. - no food/drink discounts offered for elite members. - I was advised my rooms were upgraded but noticed one had a fridge and the other didn't. - Inconsistency from staff on free room water. Some were happy to give others told me they couldn't. Not great during the heatwave. - I felt I had to ask for some of my perks which was a bit uncomfortable. - With the above said, I would like to thank Matthew and William in the restaurant who did try their best in looking after me and my family during our stay. 2 Facilities and service could be better: - No AC in the rooms which was really uncomfortable this week due to high temperatures. - Water fountain in the pool area didn't work, not great if you enjoy the sauna and steam room and need water. - Rooms and the hallway look a little tired compared to other Delta hotels I've stayed at. - I found at least 2 spiders in my room upon entry. - I found the food menu overpriced with an optional service charge added by default, I would prefer the option of adding this on myself. - No lounge

WoW, what a venue golf was, excellent course in great condition. Mens locker rooms were very n8ce and great hot showers. Food was excellent for a golf day.

Nice hotel, really good service from pleasant staff who seemed genuinely to like their jobs for a change. Excellent Carvery and breakfast. Best Golf venue for a long time, 2 good and demanding courses !

A bucket list course for all golfers

Stayed here for five days. Rooms were clean but bathrooms were very tired looking and need of updating. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Drinks on expensive side. Course was in great condition.

Booked a package for myself and my dad. The package included lunch, a treatment, and use of the spa facilities. The location is beautiful, and the venue is huge. Staff were all really pleasant and helpful. We had a neck, back, and shoulder massage, which was brilliant. We had a sandwich and chips for lunch in the Zest restaurant. Food was nice and portions were generous. There were a lot of stairs to get to the treatment rooms, but that would be the only complaint!

Wonderful hotel. The rooms are looking old fashioned and limited facilities.

We have just come back from Forest of Arden after spending 2 nights and playing 3 rounds of golf on the 2 fantastic courses. The Arden course was by far the better of the 2 courses but both setups were a great test. The hotel was fantastic, the food was excellent and a wide variety of dishes were available at all meal times. The staff were all very polite and professional in their different roles and couldn't do enough for you. With 25 golfers in our party everybody had a wonderful time and we have already started planning our next trip.

This hotel is set in a gorgeous location, forestside, with a golf course. The outside looks impressive. Inside, the staff is attentive and the amenities are most accommodating. The long hallways that must be walked like a labyrinth in order to reach your room, however, are tired and worn, with old carpets that have become permanently soiled and threadbare. The rooms themselves are fine and offer picturesque views of the grounds, but some attention to the corridors would honestly go a long way to spruce up this otherwise luxurious feeling wedding venue and relatively inexpensive, high quality hotel.

Attended a friend's wedding, absolutely stunning grounds, reception room, the food was delicious and plenty 😋

The staff were exceptional, especially when looking after my son. They made him feel very welcome, saluting him as he walked the corridors. The interior was showing its age. The rooms, while functional were a little run down with some very minor defects (slow draining plug, can’t get CBeebies on the tv). If cost is a factor, probably go elsewhere for your evening meal. Overall a nice place to stay.

Stayed 2 nights for a golf break. The staff were amazing. We were so impressed with every single member. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening food was good. We did not use the leisure facilities so cannot comment. Loved the golf. Would definitely visit again.

Me and my family stayed 2 weeks at the hotel and we were sad to leave. The best staff I’ve ever encountered in hotels. They really care to help and make the guests to feel welcomed and taken care of. Very attentive and friendly. From the reception, to the cleaners and waiters. All people we interacted were genuine very nice! Breakfast is a must, the best spinach omelette! Very good selection and quality. The staff at breakfast made us feel so welcomed and special. Room is spacious and the amenities includes a well equipped gym and indoor pool. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. There’s a nature trail that is a must! Many lakes and birds. Dears are an attraction apart! Catch them around 5pm! Love experience! We’ll for sure be back!!!

We booked a golf stay & play package. The Arden course was incredible but that nights dinner was spoilt somewhat by being herded into a golf only dining room. Pre ordered food was average & atmosphere decidedly low rent with chanting & football singing. The Aylesford on Sunday was disappointing & a bit dangerous with golfers hitting shots towards you. Greens were rough. The course also messed up our buggy booking so some of our party had to walk. Could have been memorable but was just ok instead.

Great place for golf , expensive!

Great hotel with excellent rooms, main bar area and bar serving food with outside dining and eating area. Breakfast was buffet but fantastic, lots of choice and all hot. Also had evening Sunday roast which was good quality. Golf was great a well and we played both the Championship course and the Aylesbury course. Look forward to a return visit to Forest of Arden.

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. There is a golf club here too. About 15 minutes from the NEC and airport, nice easy run. Rooms were pleasant and a good size. Check in was easy and the staff lovely, special mention to housekeeping who were amazing over and above their jobs!! Didn't really get to sample all that was on offer as this was just a base but think it would be great for a weekend get away and they probably hold fantastic weddings here ! Only note of discord was using room service, the tray charge is posted as £5 however it is apparently now £10 - this is not updated on the room service menu... To be fair I wasn't charged after querying this... Overall enjoyed my stay.

very poorly run hotel, would never stay again. After a long flight from the US. no US plugs and very limited ability to recharge devices. services in general bad. I am a 20 year+ Marriott customer (lifetime platinum). only the second time I've written a bad review, that is how much this property's service sucked. Not a "full service" hotel. Would not recommend for business travel. If I could rated it a ZERO I would have.

Hi, I wanted to share my experience with the hotel in the hopes that it might help fellow travelers make informed decisions when considering their services. I believe it's important to be aware of certain aspects that could potentially affect your stay. My journey began with a prepayment made by my company for the reservation. Strangely, the hotel's system failed to recognize this payment, resulting in confusion and delays in confirming my reservation. To ensure the payment was secure, the receptionist assured me that she would place a temporary hold on my credit card. This incident set off a frustrating chain of events that took over a month and it's still not resolved. Throughout this process, I found myself in discussions with the hotel's management to secure a refund. While a significant portion of the total amount was eventually returned, it's important to note that certain charges were not. These included fees related to currency conversion, exchange rate fluctuations, and the cost of an international transfer. In light of my experience, I'd like to offer some advice for anyone planning to stay here Keep Detailed Records: Maintain thorough records of all your interactions, payments, and reservation details. This documentation could be invaluable if any discrepancies arise. Stay vigilant: regularly monitor your credit card statements to ensure accurate billing. Report any unauthorized or unexpected charges promptly. Clarify payment procedures and keep in mind that employees may have very limited knowledge about the hotel's system and payment procedures. Some of the staff members have limited English proficiency. Be patient but persistent: If you encounter payment issues, remain patient while actively pursuing a solution. Don't hesitate to escalate your concerns if necessary to Marriott headquarter. I want to emphasize that my intention is not to discourage anyone from staying here. Rather, I hope my experience helps you navigate any potential challenges with awareness and preparation.

Good overall. Some of the rooms are a bit dated for a nicer hotel. No fridge in room but one was provided on request (dietry need) Shower waaaay too low and not adjustable... I just fit under it at 5'6"...Tall Hubby no chance.

Went their with family and friends to help celebrate my 40th Birthday and it was amazing every staff member there was so welcoming there great atmosphere so gave me little treats .good menu and drink selection rooms are great and spacious and good size bathroom with all toiletries also kettle mugs or plastic cups coffee and tea options sugars aswell cans of water good size TV beds made lovely and comfortable spa treatment are fantastic makes you feel relax and recharge also lovely outdoor seating looking over the golf ⛳ also lovely walks plenty of car parking spaces swimming pool clean and jazzuo is great too also a steam room with sauna and children pool changed are spacious and also shower cubicle great gym area and also can exercise equipment also available.

Very outdated hotel with incredibly inflated prices. Staff were unhelpful at best. Food and drinks service was slow, incompetent and ridiculously overpriced for the quality. Has been impossible to get anything out of the hotel regarding the poor stay. Avoid.

Amazing property with great customer service and staff working throughout. We were a large group of about 20 people, we were always accommodated for breakfast, dinner, pool facilities. Staff was welcoming and looked happy. We had kids with us and there were always sweets at the front desk/lobby, for them to enjoy. The restaurant manager, I believe came out where our children were playing, as it was a hot weather and gave everyone an ice-cream. When the sprinklers went off in the back of the hotel, caught our children by surprise and they got wet. A minute after someone from the staff came out with towel fro everyone. Now this, is what anticipating the guest needs is all about. Praise you all and thank you for taking care of us. We will definitely visit again. Thank you a million. THE GM should be the proudest man/woman on earth, having such gems in his/hers team.

Pros: 1. Great location for a quiet break. 2. spa services which was great, we had a massage. 3. Jacuzzi and Sauna were nice. 4. Great breakfast selection. 5. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Cons: 1. Loud neighbours slamming doors continiously until 2am and shouting in the corridor. 2. Bed wasn't to our liking (you can't please everyone). 3. Steam Room was out of order.

Great venue for society golfers, Aylesford course relatively easy to play(34 points and 38 points from a mid handicapper), greens needed work with patches everywhere, bunkers were inconsistent. Arden course was the more challenging course and was in better condition overall, some amazing memorable holes requiring good carries over water and free roaming deer to look out for qhen looking for stray balls in the undergrowth (25 points reached although it was a very hot day, excuses coming out-lol). Hotel was ok, with some long windy corriders to get to rooms, no fridges in room and only one set of toiletries provided for 2 man stay in a room. Set dinner seemed slightly chaotic with a room with limited aircon, food was great although larger portions next time! Overall would love to come back to take on the Championship course with friends again

+ Breakfast buffet was good though and had a lot of options, also vegetarian, vegan and healthy. + Staff was very friendly and helpful + Quiet surroundings - There is not A/C in the rooms and the windows can only be opened a tiny bit so there is no way to get cool air into the room. It was unbearably hot which made it hard to sleep. Would not recommend staying here in summer. - The food is maximum average. Not at all worth the price, nothing exciting. - No sockets in the bathroom, no sockets near the bedroom. All in all it really seems like the hotel used to be "fancy" a long time ago and really could do with a remodel. Surrounding nature is nice though, but can only be enjoyed when golfing. No ways to take a walk since it is forbidden to walk the golf court ways. Overall it is not worth the money

I attended an event here last night that included a meal. I had tried to get in touch with the venue beforehand to discuss dietary requirements (gluten-free vegetarian) but had no joy in reaching the correct person . However once I arrived at the event I spoke to the chef and she had no problem in catering for my specific needs. The food was absolutely delicious, a melon and berry starter with a gluten free bread roll on the side . A fantastic vegetarian & gluten free main course, and a gluten free fruit tart for dessert. I was extremely impressed how my last minute request was dealt with and the quality of the food. Thank you!
