Was part of a bridal team that stayed there, and the service was great. Staff accommodated to everyone’s requests, and was overall very helpful.

The rooms are itself very good for stay. However corridors infrastructure needs improvement

Stayed for a work trip. Room and bathroom were huge! Staff were really helpful, had an issue with my room heating staying on, they did what they could to fix it and then moved me to a different room without any issue when it couldn't be fixed. Breakfast was really nice and a good selection.

Location is great, nearby restaurant are just 5 minutes away. Room is in good condition, only concern was first night, I was waking up due to banging sound from corridor doors at night. Room didn't have fridge, so spoke with reception (Hamza), sorted shortly. Staffs are helpful.

I had high expectations for my recent stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, it fell far below what I anticipated. From the moment I checked in, I encountered several issues that left me feeling quite dissatisfied. The room was dated and less clean than I expected, and noise from adjacent rooms made it hard to relax. Additionally, the amenities that were advertised did not match what I experienced during my stay, and the reception staff seemed overwhelmed, making it challenging to get assistance when needed. Overall, my experience at this Marriott hotel was very poor, and I genuinely expected more from a brand known for its hospitality. I left feeling unhappy and let down, and I can't say I would recommend this hotel based on my visit.

Worst experience ever. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel staff not willing to help and dirty rooms. Worst experience I had in the UK until now.

I had a disappointing experience during my recent stay at this Marriott location. My colleagues and I booked 2 rooms and a meeting room, and it turned out to be the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I never expected such issues from a well known brand like Marriott! And be careful when providing your credit card for a hold before your stay!! They ended up charging us for that hold after we checked out. Even after reaching out to their customer service to address the issue, they were unhelpful and unwilling to offer a solution. It seemed like they only cared about their own interests instead of their clients. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed!

The worst experience I’ve had in a long time.. dirty rooms and old furniture. Staff were totally unhelpful. whenever I asked for assistance, it felt like I was bothering them rather than getting support. Save your money and look for somewhere else

Hotel was good took me 3 attempts to get in my room keys wouldn't work felt like a yoyo up and down

Beautiful hotel with excellent amenities and right on the doorstep to explore the city centre. Spotless throughout. Fantastic range of both hot and cold breakfast selection which was delicious. Only fault was served undercooked chicken during evening meal but quickly rectified by staff.

Exactly what I wanted from my hotel. If you are not in a rush the 12 o'clock checkout is fabulous

The room card has some issues and keeps invalidated. Sparkling water dispenser is served which is amazing. Breakfast is like usual courtyard Springhill level. Location is fine a supermarket is very close.

Outside of the main City Centre but with good transport links into this city this hotel is a good choice for a business traveler. Public spaces are of a high standard rooms are a little dated and in need of a refurbishment but are adequate. Breakfast was good.

Used to have a spa when it was the Marriott and now it doesn’t

Absolutely perfect hotel, not one thing could have been improved on. We make the trip every year as a girls weekend and we usually stay at another hotel but it was fully booked and we specifically wanted a room where all 4 of us could stay together so thought we would try this hotel. We were a little worried about parking as a lot of reviews said limited parking but there was plenty of parking, we had no problem getting a space even when we kept going out. The hotel itself is gorgeous, well decorated and maintained giving a very luxurious feel. The room was extremely spacious and clean, the aircon/heating worked well and the pillows for the beds were comfortable - I usually bring my own pillow because I have issues sleeping on others but I didn’t even need to use my own. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, a large tv which got a lot of channels. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with all toiletries supplied. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, were happy to answer any questions we had - we couldn’t fault the hotel at all. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice (full English, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries) and a nice dining area. The location was perfect, close to the city centre but not noisy from the nightlife. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful.However the only letdown was the water pressure on the shower was poor. I would gladly return to this hotel in the future.

Everything was excellent from clean rooms and housekeeping to the reception and location BUT the breakfast selection and set up are poor - but for this service would show as 5 stars.

Very dusty room, wooden splinters found in room, very thin walls and customer service was really poor from the night staff, rude and asked me to go down to collect an item at midnight.

This was once the best hotel in Birmingham when it was the Swallow. Complete luxury. When Marriot took it over one of the reasons to continue using was the pool and spa area. The criminal decision was taken by Marriot to close these facilities last year. There are now far better hotels to stay at for the same price or indeed cheaper. How to ruin a once amazing hotel.
