Deli on the Green in Wealden

Stopped for tea/coffee and cake. What a delightful place. Coffee was excellent, cake delicious, nice and happy staff.

This place is adorable! Beautifully decorated so cosy, staff are super friendly and welcoming, big selection of baked goods, enjoyed the custard cruffin and almond thingy and nice iced mocha. Love the crockery too!

Tiny little place just on the other side of the village green from the car parks… make the effort to go there and enjoy a coffee looking across at what is possibly one of the prettiest views in the country. Had scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage sandwich and a couple of coffees… the eggs were perfect, the bacon just the right side of crispy and the perfect amount. Delicious way to start the day and great fuel for a walk to the coast.

What a wonderful place for coffee and a bite to eat. Very good coffee, nice service. A great idea for a nice stop. We would definitely recommend it! A little gem.

Very nice coffee shop in the middle of a village with very cool interior and feels like you’re in a small village with a nice atmosphere and they got so many different types of food and cakes. Coffee is great. Like the environment around the coffee shop. Will be a good quick stop on the way to birling gap and the best thing is this is the only cafe near birling gap. Very reasonable and best quality food and coffee.

Visited with a friend for the first time. Situated on the green in a beautiful setting, surrounded by the green and beautiful houses. Atmosphere and decor inside was delightful. There was a small section of food and drink for sale, something for all tastes. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu was small but plenty of variety. Portions size were just right and the food was fresh and delicious. The coffee was exceptional, hot and lots of flavour. Would definitely visit again and have recommended it to friends.

Perfectly located on the very quaint village green of East Dean, the cafe was the ideal coffee and sandwich stop on our walk along the South Downs Way. The staff are very friendly and full of local knowledge, and I even picked up some lovely deli items for a picnic. I can't wait to go back!

Great food, great vibe and great staff, very friendly outfit it has something for everyone. If you’re a visitor to the area I would definitely recommend, it’s location is stunning and a great start or end to a day exploring the South Downs National Park, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be going back again and again and again!

Love setting and very friendly, the bacon was extremely dry and over cooked like eating cardboard not sure how it was cooked but not pleasant 😕

I had a picnic on the green and The Beehive organised a lovely cake for my sister’s Birthday. All the staff were super helpful. It’s a great place.

fantastic delicatessen and café serving delicious snacks and light lunches and selling a great selection of gastronomic goodies. beautiful views of the picturesque village green with a backdrop of the stunning south downs. the staff are very friendly and helpful and my elderly father and I always feel very welcome.

My favourite place to eat, and buy special foods. They have a great range of very tasty gifts and the cheese is always excellent quality.

Picked up myself a cappuccino, a ham roll and a portuguese tart (my favourite) to take back to my desk after walk in the forest. I'm sat here thinking about how blimin lovely this coffee is and the portuguese tart is just a delicious added bonus. Lovely deli with lovely friendly staff. Thank you :-)

Super little lunch spot with awesome views accross the green and the Downs near Beachy Head. The Delicatessen has a good choice of local produce, wines and beers too.
