I popped in with my family for a coffee and lunch. We were seated fairly quickly as the cafe wasn't too busy. We ordered food and coffees, the menu looked quite good to be honest. We received our coffees after 10 minutes and I was hoping the food would follow shortly as I do prefer my coffee and food to be served at roughly the same time. Unfortunately we waited 1 1/2 hours and still no food. We eventually cancelled the food, paid for the coffees and left. During this wait, the "just eat" delivery driver was in and out so clearly phone ins were priority. As we were leaving we overheard staff telling new customers to expect an hour wait. If we had been told that we would have went elsewhere. It genuinely wasn't too busy, there were more empty tables than full ones. Very disappointing, I won't be back.

First time in Paisley in years and called in for lunch while nearby, after seeing a lot of 5 star reviews on g00gle maps. The deli was full but managed to get a table as someone was just leaving. We ordered lasagne and a club sandwich. Staff said it would take about 20 mins as they were very busy. The cafe is dog friendly and a couple of big dogs were in. Prices were very good value, obviously geared to the student population nearby. There is a good choice for vegans and vegetarians. The food came and looked nicely presented. Unfortunately the taste let both dishes down. The lasagne tasted like shop bought rather than home made and the club sandwich was bland. Can only rate as 3 stars.+ value for money, vegan/veggie options- taste of food, service a bit slow

We love Malatso. It was one of the first places in Paisley to allow dogs and create a dog menu. The human food is varied and always fresh. It has a very friendly atmosphere and caters for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free diets, etc. There are student discounts and wifi available. The staff do a brilliant job even under pressure and really show care towards every customer. PS I'm not getting anything for making this review - it's just that I find Malatso a very relaxibg place to be to eat nice food.

Went for lunch today about noon. The place was busy but not excessively. I arrived at the same time as two other customers who let the staff know that they were sitting outside. Why bother! These two customers turned into eight as more friends arrived. TWENTY minutes later and no member of staff, not even, God forbid to ask if we'd like to order a coffee, etc while we wait.Since the party of eight had not been served it was safe to assume that me and my Staffie, Little Archie would not eat for at least another twenty or so minutes. Needless to say we left. This is not the first time, or even the second time I've bailed. Trying to get service at Malatso is a bit like being placed on a NHS waiting list. By the time you get attended to you're dying of malnutrition or lost a leg to poor circulation But here's a novel idea. Employ more staff at the busiest times. The last time I was at 'Ma late so' I phoned their number from my table to remind them that there were customers outside.

Visited this cafe for lunch last week and was so delighted at the amount of vegan options. It was refreshing to be able to pick off of a menu that wasn't just the 'usual' vegan stuff but quite inventive, tasty snacks. I had a BBQ pepperoni passion toastie that was really delicious. The place has such a laid-back, relaxing vibe, they play great music but not so loud as to be intrusive. A great place to escape the world for an hour to have coffee, or lunch, and read a book or the papers. Great venue to meet up with friends for lunch in Paisley. Gracias chicos.

I've heard great things as to what has been done to provide vulnerable people with Christmas dinner here, so decided to visit for lunch with some colleagues. We were impressed with the choice of food available. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious and served quickly . Prices are very reasonable and portions generous. Decor is quirky and comfortable . The only gripe , if you could call it that, was the country & western music playing in the background was a bit miserable for a Wednesday lunchtime, but you can't please everyone!! Happy to have tried this place and will certainly add it to our repertoire of venues for a work day lunch. Keep up the good work Malatso. Paisley needs more places like you .

Visited for first time with intention of just grabbing a coffee, however the menu was so reasonable we had lunch! Soup & sandwich at £5 was a large, hot and very tasty bowl of soup with a generously filled panini (you can have toastie, sandwich or panini). Staff were friendly and food came very quickly despite it being busy. It would seem the owners are also very public spirited - a free festive lunch was being offered for anyone in need of company on Christmas Day, and there was also a 'doggy menu' meaning patrons could still grab a bite to eat even with their pets in tow.The cafe itself was nicely decorated and very welcoming, and although it is quite small inside, it didn't feel cramped as some places can do.Will certainly go back if I am ever in Paisley town centre and would definitely recommend this wee gem to friends.

Love this little haven. Paisley is sadly lacking in quality these days but deli Malatso is a diamond in the rough. Cute and clean, great staff (I think the owners work it) and the food is wonderful. Pancakes, French toast, amazing coffees, all deli style food at great prices. Another selling point being they care about their town and the people in it, donating regularly to food banks and stayed open on Xmas day giving FREE Xmas dinners to homeless people. It's quickly become one of my fav things about Paisley! Highly recommended!

Coming from the town and on such a nice day. I passed the cafe and thought it would be nice to pop in and sample their food. ( I'm a lover of toasties ) But on seeing their little menu card, I thought a fried breakfast would be on order.Sadly it wasn't to be as I asked for a breakfast with ingredients they didn't have ( so whats the point in offering this as a selection )I went for the toastie option...I Made sure I asked if their would be any dressing, pickles or mayo on or near my toastie...I was assured their wouldn't be.The salad was drenched in brown liquid and so was the 7 crisps that came with the toastie.Wish food servers would stop doing this to food and just offer up little accompanying dished on the side. The guy serving was pleasant enough.Sadly the decor is so dated and the general place was grotty, so bad I couldn't really tell if the light shades were cream or just filthy.A call to the local environment department is in order methinks.Sorry to any visitors to paisley...However if you do want something nice to eat. and eat it in a clean place. nip across the road to the Leasureland cafe. The fried breakfast is fantastic and it's cheaper than malatso. Plus they have all the ingredients for it! SO 10 / 10 to them from me.
