We used to love this place but recently it has changed for the worse. The new layout has ripped the soul out of the place. Staff are slow and disinterested. Used to have real characters working there. Pastries are either raw or far too sweet. Such a shame.

Changed a lot, some years ago used to be quiet different and different type of food, hopefully will be as in the beginning.

Very busy on a Subday morning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very tasty and fresh food. I know are Espresso drinkers but to be honest,my coffee was more burnt in taste and bitterybas usual.

I recently dined at this wonderful Italian place in Chiswick The Italians Chiswick, and I must say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had! The food was absolutely divine, with authentic Italian flavors and fresh ingredients that left me wanting more. Every dish was prepared to perfection, from the starters to the main course. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service. When my favorite green tea was out of stock, the team went above and beyond to ensure I still had a wonderful experience. They brought out two different cups of tea with different flavors, allowing me to enjoy a variety of choices. It was a small touch, but it made a huge difference and truly showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend this place enough—whether you’re in the mood for great Italian cuisine or simply want to experience outstanding service, this is the place to go in Chiswick. Amazing bread, foccacia is the best in london

had an amazing breakfast, however my experience was spoiled by random lady with her dog , dog kept jumping on the counter-touching the food, she kept beating her dog , i got involved-was told that is not my business- i answered that since we are eating that food it is,,, none of the members of staff done anything about that, i love dogs but treating them badly cos they lick paninis?! There is one solution - leave your dog outside, i am not eating anything from where the food been licked by dogs, sad as the place looks nice now

Had very nice customer service from Sarah, she made my day, with a nice smile and nice Italian coffee, haven't tried any food but will definitely.

Great coffee and have yet to try their savoury snacks. Friendly service and good for people watching in the sunshine.

Good looking sandwiches on display. I had a caprese sandwich which was very nice but the bread was a bit too hard. Cappuccino had too much milk. Customer service not very friendly. It’s a shame as I travelled very far to try out. Can provide payment transaction if you wish to verify that I spent money at your establishment. Not okay to delete my review as it is genuine.

Today I tried Too Good Too Go for the first time and I really couldn't believe it. I paid a pretty high price but I came across a couple of funny products in the package.

The new management has ruined this place. It’s obvious from the way the old staff who are still there (only a few left after they fired most) carry themselves. And the new manager and every new staff member has zero customer service skills and has no clue what they’re doing either. Since the changes went into place I’ve had multiple issues with my orders and before I never did, it’s a shame. We used to love this place and the people, and now it’s just all gone. Every bit of it.

Understaffed. Not friendly, got 2 focaccias labeled at a different price from what advertised. Tried to ask to a staff member if it was our order but completely ignored.

Food was fabulous - we had a couple of sandwiches and they were very tasty indeed. However service was slow even at the counter. We ordered two lattes to go with our food and had to leave without having had the coffee 25 minutes later. There seemed to be a lot of staff rushing about so not quite sure how making something as straightforward as a coffee can take so long. Told them that we were having to leave without having had a coffee we had paid for and got shrug at best!

Although there is a Selection; I found it Difficult to find something that I liked to eat! Staff were not very friendly! Inside Seating was Dark & Dinghy! Outside on the Street Seating available! Most of the tables inside were taken up by people working on Laptops! The Coffee was Okay; nothing to write home about!

Butter cones with a trace of cream are sold at an extremely high price.

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff with Luke warm coffee especially the lady who brought coffe to my table . Never going there again .

The Italian ham is delicious and at such a good fair price you cannot go wrong with this place. Came here for breakfast a few times and was never disappointed. Will definitely be coming here again in the future.

Great selection of authentic Italian ingredients,meats,cheeses, and pasta. Great sandwiches as well, including a good selection of premium Italian wines. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I blame this on inflation and brexit.

So, so place. Ambience lovely, food average (we had savoury) - quite a bland piece of pizza type savoury and the service nonchalant, quite disinterested overall. Would I return? To sit people watching yes but I wouldn't have lunch there again.

The price is becoming even ridiculous. For a very small (now the size is half than before) piece of pizza is charged £7.00

Young red haired girl was very rude forgot order. No apology.didnt even heat up pizza correctly. Pizza was extremely hard but topping was tasty. Extremely clean place. Good atmosphere otherwise. Menu for food should be extended.

Obscenely, obscenely overpriced. The ingredients and overall quality of the food is quite nice, but it's simply a dysfunctional proposition. We've been coming to this joint for 4 years and every year the prices are worse. Last time we paid almost £50 for 2 or 3 tiny tiny pieces of lasagna and some cuts of mortadella with a focaccia style mini bun next to it. I try to not complain about prices as this is London after all, but this was daylight robbery. I was quite frustrated and spoke with the person that served us and they agreed the prices are extremely high but said that they can't do anything about it, and that we should send an email with feedback. They didn't really care much to be honest. So, I won't send an email but will give my feedback here. We've spent a lot of money here over the years but this was the last time. If the prices become actually reasonable and the staff start caring about loyal customers we might reconsider. The sad truth - wholeheartedly recommend you to avoid!

Rude staff, no organisation with regards to table allocation, asked for menu they said did not have one, then there was one. Would not spend a penny even if food is good. Ordered food and two ladies behind us in the queue take the table and staff didn't care . We walked out !!! Not fair, No point when our service is not valued.

No consistency in cappuccinos! You also need to pay attention if they charge you correctly as they might charge a sit in charge for a take away! If you question it they will just give you coins back instead of refunding the money on your card and charging you the correct amount

Have been going to this place for years but never again. We came for lunch with my husband and our newborn baby. Waited for a table inside given it was busy as always and were lucky for one to free up quickly. Ordered a lot as we were super hungry and were enjoying our quiet time while the baby was sleeping on the bench at our table. When we were almost done with our meal a waitress came up to us asking if we could move to a smaller table as ‘it is only two of us’ and suggested we could put our baby in the stroller instead to free up space so she could sit another two people next to us. We were shocked by the lack of basic compassion, manners and respect towards paying customers and have never come across this rudeness before. There were single people with dogs and a cup of coffee and that was fine… we had the table covered with food and our baby was in the way… Needless to say we just stood up and left. Such a shame.

With all the ubiquitous chains around it’s good when you find an independent deli/bakery of this quality. A real asset to Chiswick and I highly recommend everyone in the area to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

5 STARS!! Magical, unique and sensational experience in this temple of Italian cuisine, fast and welcoming service. Fresh Italian products, well presented and served at excellent levels by highly qualified staff, in particular Angela who welcomed us as if we were in Italy, recommended focaccia from their oven, raw ham and Italian mozzarella, furthermore, she also recommended to visit magical places we didn't know about London. Big choice of cheese, italian 'charcuterie' , wine and other deli. Nice place. You can also eat-in . Unfortunately the place is very pricey.

Great for a quick lunch, but the pizza was too dry and the tables stay quite dirty when it is busy. But very affordable so good value lunch.

Didn’t like the experience at this coffee shop, I asked for two cappuccinos and the lady on the till was not friendly or welcoming at all, I was paying £3.80 for my coffee but it felt like I was begging for it and to top it up I ordered a slice of pizza which stayed 15 min on the toaster to warm it and apparently according to the lady it was ok to eat it, crazy crunchy overcooked pizza. Thank you for the lovely hospitality, just to let u know Chiswick has lots of lovely coffee options and I will take my business elsewhere 👎🏻

Had a delicious antipasti selection from the deli counter and a glass of white wine. Sunny outside and the window blocks the street noise whilst several people inside speak Italian. It's like being on holidays.

stopped in on a rainy afternoon for a pizza and a coffee , nice selection of products which seem to quite authentic, shame the staff are not Italian , the place looses some appeal, the waitresses were ok though , not the best , but not worst. pizza slices were average to good for London and iced latte coffee decent , place seemed to be decently busy and popular. Quieter part of chiswick high street ..its generally fine for a quick bit and a coffee ...

It used to be my favourite spot to grab a coffee. The newish team member that works in the cafe is rude and more interested in chatting to the waitress instead of serving customers. I don’t know the name but it’s a gentleman who wears glasses, very poor coffee making skills. Every time I pop in, he talks to the waitress instead of paying attention to work. Once he even raised his voice at me for not hearing that I asked for oat milk instead of normal milk…

Only came in because my friend wanted a pastry. Croissants looked good so I caved and bought one. Then of course I had to get a coffee. So utterly pleased with the quality of everything. As an Aussie, the coffee hit so many different spots 😁. Staff were also really friendly and the deli looked amazing.

This place is so cute and Italian ! Love the traditional music and food, and the best part was how friendly and happy the staff were. I was served by Alessandra who was super helpful and friendly, and explained all the different Italian sandwiches and pastries etc. Highly recommend !!

After a very positive first experience with The Italians when I last visited, I decided to go again with my family for lunch. As you can tell by my Google review history, I tend to not complain but I feel like given today's experience, I am obligated to write this review. When we entered, my family went for coffees and my sister in particular went for a slice of pizza. The coffee was fantastic, but the pizza was missing so I spoke with a member of staff who then brought the wrong pizza which was smaller. As I mentioned, we're not big complainers so we let this slide (despite paying a premium for the bigger pizza slice). I opted to do something different, and ordered a made to order sandwich from the other counter. The lady behind the counter was already working on a big order so I was told 15 minutes, which is absolutely fine and I was happy to wait. Made to order sandwiches also had a premium uplift in price, which made sense given that they were made fresh. After about 25 minutes, the sandwich then started to being assembled. I then paid for the sandwich and was asked if I'd like it toasted, which I agreed to. After waiting a bit, I was handed a brown paper bag and it was not until I was further down the road when I realised they had given me one of the premade sandwiches instead, likely by accident. The sandwich was nice enough, but it was not what I ordered and was disappointing given how positive my last experience was. Another family member went back to complain about the pretty atrocious service, and the man was very apologetic, offered to make it again but we didn't really want to wait any longer. I have worked in customer facing roles for over 8 years, and I get that the hospitality sector is facing staffing issues but today's experience has completely put me off The Italians. Which is a real shame, as the food gets very high marks even if it's a little pricey. I cannot see myself going back here again, and nor can my other family members. My recommendation here would be customer service training, especially when people are paying a premium price. Food gets a 4/5, service gets a 1/5.

Visited today. Lovely coffee and superb pizza. Ordered the Boscaiola pizza and it was one if the best I've eaten. The decor is tasteful and bathroom was spotless too. Quick and friendly service from Diana. Well worth visiting and already plan on returning.

What a lovely deli on Chiswick High Road. Stopped for a coffee and bought the most fantastic tomatoes and a loaf of the freshest sourdough. Pop in if you're passing, the cheese and meats look amazing.

Great lunch spot, love the portion size to cost - rare to find something that is good value and not huge! Nice environment too!

A really nice Deli. Coffee was really nice and I enjoyed my panini as well. My wife also enjoyed hers. Staff were nice too. The girl working there also made us feel welcome and kept our baby laughing and happy too. Hope to go back again some point soon.

My all time favourite spot whenever I am in Chiswick. Massimo and his team created the most authentic Italian spot with the best genuine service and kind service. Their selection of Italian products makes you feel that you are in Italy; everything is simply perfect including the atmosphere and last but not least their fantastic coffee!

Went to enjoy a spiritz but one store attendant was very unfriendly. We were trying to find a seat and make an order and he was looking at us in a very unwelcoming manner. He had a few piercings. The other staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Great deli with a huge selection of authentic Italian fair, also a nice selection of snacks and coffees. Service good, however a bit expensive.

My partner and I regularly come in here and we do love it, but find it rather expensive and customer service is inconsistent. The fresh bread is really good and reasonable, perfect cannoli every time and the pizza and panino very good. Anything packaged is prohibitively expensive, although good quality. Is it the best Italian deli in London? No. But it cures the homesickness from time to time.

As an Italian, I really cannot confirm most of the comments. Prices are outrageous and quality below average. The cooked food is not very good, notably lasagne are super heavy and dry whilst parmigiana is also below average in terms of quality/cooking, lack of taste, undercooked, etc..

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Their baked good are amazing, it is nice to see the bakers at work too! Nice selection of Italian products including charcuterie and wines.
