My recent experience of the food I ordered was terrible! After eating I felt somewhat uncomfortable in my stomach.Over the night I couldn’t sleep and early in the morning I had to rush to the loo. I had diarrhoea and all day I felt uncomfortable in the stomach so didn’t feel like to eat but I kept drinking water every now and then.I am sure this had to do with the food I ate from this restaurant. My wife was in similar state as she had the food too.Actually we were celebrating her birthday! What a disaster! It was my first time experience of the food from this restaurant and sure will be last! Please note that to publish this review I had to answer the questions regarding visiting the restaurant although I did not as I only ordered the food and consumed at home.

I have literally had very bad experience with Delhi wale southall. Yesterday i went to the shop to get something special for fasting as someone recommended me that they have the best special food for Navratri, and ive ordered aloo tiki and when i was eating it today i found a very sharp plastic thing in it.. WHAT IF I HAD SWOLLEN THAT?? It supposed to be extra careful to make fasting food. And when I’ve sent my friend there to show them they been soo rude and were asking ohh if you could bring it to us we could see it if it’s actually something bad in it, i was like im four hours away from you how could i come to show you?? I’ve a picture of that and I’ve the actual plastic thing with me aswell.. i must say don’t go to the shop they been very very rude even yesterday one of the staff was very rude when i was waiting for my food. I’ll never go to there for anything they have spoiled my Navratri fast, i don’t want this to happen with anyone else in the future save your lives..

Really bad dosa i have ever had here. Really bad sambar in UK just tasting tomato nothing like sambar. 100’s people COMPLAINING BUT THIS RESTAURANT OWNER DO NOT HAVE sh**e AND JUST WORRYING ABOUT their pockets than FEEDING people LOW QUALITY FOOD THE MONEY THEY CHARGE. HAVE SOME sharam AND BE COMPETENT AND SERVE WHAT YOU OR YOUR SO CALLED CHEFS CAN COOK. HAVING 100’s Dishes in MENU BUT NOT EVEN 10-15 got taste. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES BACK AROUND, WILL PAY BACK TO PEOPLE WHO have spent THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THEIR low FOOD.

Absolutely awful experience. Half the food never showed up. They refused to sort it out. And asked if we would like the bill and then tried to charge us for food that never came out. The food that did come was overly oily and bland. No apologies or anything. Terrible service, rotten food. Never again!

Came here yesterday for lunch .It Was around 1.45ish. It was busy . We ordered two channa bhatura . We were given 2 bhatura Each. Upon eating, I found that the chick peas were very spicy. It seemed like The ground spices hadn’t been cooked into the curry properly and the spice was hurting my throat. So I called the waiter over and told him the chick pea curry was very spicey. He just said they made it medium hot. All the time He didn’t seem that bothered. I asked for Some plain saag instead. So atleast I could eat the bhatura. The saag was very pale in colour . It was ok. But too much garlic in it . The bhatura were oily . We would have preferred Puri instead . The waiters were all busy. The food Was bought out quickly I noticed . It’s not cheap to eat here. Most dishes are £7 plus. We paid £25. Just for two channa and a saag And sadly I didn’t enjoy any of it. I won’t be back . The service was slow. Had to get the Attention of the waiters when we wanted anything . They didn’t seemed bothered .

Have ordered a couple of times on ubereats. The food is okish. Nothing special. The same restaurant has a branch at vicarage farm road. Near hounslow west. Their food is really good compared to this one. I must say the packaging of food is very good indeed. Chole bhature- the chole just boiled and watery no gravy sauce at all. Also the samosa was ok, actually tasted a lot better with the chutney. So overall ok food.

Popped into Delhi Wala Southall on Thursday 17 October 2019 to purchase a few snacks. First off, the service was not good, the girl behind the snacks counter was too busy doing her own thing to help me. I then walked over to the man on the till who took my order. Got home and found the food substandard and totally unacceptable. I bought some bread pakora which was full of chillies and tasteless. The Ondhwa was off and was rancid, it was also burnt and suspect had been sitting there for a few days. Tried phoning them and their phone is not accepting calls. They really need to check that their food is checked and deemed fit for selling on a daily basis. They are not cheap either, quite over priced compared to similar restaurants. Needless to say I will not be going there again, was empty at lunch, that speaks volumes.

On the recommendation of a friend decided to try the Paratha’s from this place to take away. The Paratha’s were excellent. They were made freshly whilst we waited, were very large in size and tasted great. The only thing that let the place down is service. We waited at the counter around 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Though the staff were busy, it’s always nice to be acknowledged and to be let know someone would be with us shortly. We will be going back to try some of the other specialties they have soon.

Purchased some snacks and indian sweets. Snacks were average - OK, but that’s the best that be said, the chick peas were full of too much water and the were under cooked. The Indian sweets were truly awful. Poor quality, cheaply made without enough milk, kalakand was dry and unedible and barfi tasted like flour .... they are clearly buying from very poor quality suppliers. note to owners - sort out the quality of your food or you won’t have a food business ... truly awful indian sweets...

Read an online Blogger, raving about this place, so sought it out this Sunday. The staff were less than interested in us - so much so that we left no tip. I never do this!My husband ordered the Samosa Chaat (£3.50) and I ordered the Gohi Chaat (it said puris stuffed with chana and tamarind, yogurt etc) £4.00. My husband's food was hot and well spiced, but basically such a small portion for the price paid. Mine was a total disappointment - what was delivered to me was effectively Gol gappa Chaat (NOT PURIS). It was cold and only five pieces for £4.00!I would not have ordered this is I had known I was going to get Gol guppa. I wanted hot food. We had no service, just paid at the till, and not ONE SMILE the whole time!We will not be going there again - we found a place opposite Quality Foods on South Road on our way back to the station - called Riddhi Sweets (74 South Road) and their food was excellent and HALF THE PRICE!

Called in today to get a take away, wish we had carried on walking!! Fact that every table was empty on a Saturday afternoon should have given us an inkling. Ordered veg curry and mushroom Korma both disgusting full of mostly green peppers and the Korma nearly blew our heads off the huge amount of spice was obviously to disguise the fact that it was decidedly off. We will never go there again and will encourage all our friends and family to avoid it, had the restaurant have been open when we ate they would have had it back all over their filthy tables and chairs.

This was a great restaurant when it opened a few years ago. It does Indian vegetarian food and to be honest quite nice. Unfortunately service levels have dropped and it is a bit of a 'hit and miss'.I have recently heard that they were done for an unclean kitchen and rodents by the local authority. Shame really but I wont be visiting again, there is plenty of choice in the area. I am sorry to say although the food is nice I cant think what goes on in the back kitchen.

After my Aunty said this was a nice place we all came here to Mother's Day we are 11 people and this was the worst experience ever. The food was cold the fact of came late some of the food had to be cancelled as half the people had to drink water so the full... The costumer service was horrible they wouldn't listen to what we were saying they would do what they like... I ordered a salted lassi it came 30 minutes late and I am to assume it takes 5-7 minutes to make because that's how long it takes me... The daal Makhni was actually wrong because it was a different kind of lentil which is not used to make daal makhni we order saag and maki Di roti that was 2 hrs late... Shahi paneer was too spicy when it's suppose to be mild and different kind of taste... We ordered 2 jugs of tap water which came 40 minutes late... And then I ordered SLICES of lemon the gave us huge chunks of lemon. The starters were horrible the food was nasty and the service was the cherry on top of the cake I would never recommend this place to anyone it's just so bad...

I went to this Delhi Wala restaurant yesterday with my family Monday 9th Nov 2015. The service was absolutely appalling, followed by the food. We ordered 3 paneer dosas, when they came out it had grated raw paneer,, with no masala flavour, I thought it was supposed to be an indian dish, obviously not!!! they argued with us. Then they said we will order you the masala dosa, when that came out, it was plain with nothing in it. They said the chef got it wrong. Hoping that third time lucky, the dosas tasting half decent, the mixture was raw inside, rushed job maybe. I took a few bites and left the rest. Cant believe it had taken 1 and a half hours to prepare a simple dish. When we came to paying he charged us full and argued again, saying we made you the dish regardless if you ate it. Once I got home, I told my daughter. She and her husband in fact had a similar experience last year at the same restaurant.I advise anyone wanting to go here, stay well away. There are in fact a lot of good restaurants in Southall, this is definitely not one of them.

I have ordered takeaway paneer samosas from Dehliwala Southall for many years because my dad loves them. But in the last few visits standards have dropped terribly. The last three times i have ordered paneer samosas i received veg samosas mixed in with the paneer ones (paneer ones actually cost more!) But even after going in and complaining that we were embarrassed infront of our guests that we offered paneer samosas that turned out to be potatos the man running the place didnt apologise or offer anything as compensation! Instead he says it happens dont worry. I am so appauled that a place i have used for so many years has dropped to such low standards. I could understand if it happens once but THREE times is not a mistake its just carelessness. Who knows what else happens in that kitchen!

Went with family. Seated to dirty tables. Dried food under the see through vinyl tablecloths. Stains on the tablecloths. Ordered starters first. They were fine albeit delayed. Then mains arrived in drips and drabs after a 30 min delay although they were only 3 other customers. Where do I start. Dosa with no filling. Chilli paneer with 5 cubes of paneer - dish filled with peppers and onions. Chow mein bitter and tangy - makes you cough. Daal makhani cold - sent it back twice. All lassi's were warm - which makes you question if they refrigerate their milk. When I complained to waiter he directed me to the manager. When I spoke with him, he started shouting. Other customers looked on in disgust. Waiting customers left without ordering. Manager is rude and abusive and clearly said we were nothing but complainers and he doesn't need customers like us and to leave. So we did but not before we gave him a piece of our mind to which he had no reply but further abusive swear words in Punjabi. Won't be visiting this place again and don't recommend it. Whilst shopping in Southall, we accidentally came across this restaurant in the older part of Southall. It was lunch time and we were peckish. We deided to stop here for lunch. As we went in, there was no word of greeting and no one showed us to a table. The menu appeared to be extensive and the dishes appeared interesting. However, we were disappointed overall. When we began to order one or two of the items on the menu were not available. So we opted for other stuff. Service was slack and the waiter not interested. He was on his mobile most of the time. The food arrived - it was just warm and did not appear to be freshly cooked. The food was bland and did nothing for our taste buds. We asked for water and it came straight from the tap with dripping glasses (we thought it would be filtered). We ordered ready made Indian tea to finish off the meals and it tasted of stale milk. As the name suggests "Delhiwala" meaning from Delhi we expected sumptuous North Indian meals. We came away from the restaurant still hungry and frankly quite annoyed.

Have been in Southall for 2 days with my partner who is Indian. Have just returned from our evening meal, first and last time at Delhiwala. We have eaten all over Southall and also India and I have to say I was shocked by the dirty table. We asked the waitress if she'd clean it and she apologised and got a cloth. Then she said it is clean on the main side of the plastic but just dirty on the side touching the table. Why put a plastic cloth over a proper table cloth (so you don't have to wash it of course) at least make sure the plastic is wiped! Not the best start. Next my partner got me a cup of tea first, cup a bit dirty but ok, we were then given plates, mine had a bit of vegetable on it so she quickly gave me another clean one, his was a bit grubby too! My partner said he'd pay and we could leave but didn't want to make a fuss and now I thought we may ad well stay put so that I could at least try somewhere that an Indian friend had raved about! Did we have the wrong restaurant? Anyway, we had Dahl makhani, mutter paneer, rotis and special parathas, tea and lassi. Bill was about 18.50. Food I have to say wasn't bad, Dahl particularly tasty and paneer good but could have had more paneer and peas tasted like tin rather than frozen or fresh. Breads good, didn't eat salad that was complimentary or pickles because the dirty table and chair cover put us off was worried about kitchen and hygiene standards. Just because they show they have a hygiene certificate on the wall does not truthfully reflect the day to day practice. The staff were prompt and pleasant polite, though their t shirts a little grubby. Such a shame when there are plush televisions and a pink light and windows around, looks good from outside but looks can be deceiving. We were thinking of eating at Himani's instead but it didn't look so plush from outside, so disappointed as it would have been better to go there. We have eaten some excellent meals in Southall, some aversge and this was by far the worst meal I have had in Southall or India! My partner was really unhappy about it and when we returned to our hotel he had a bad tummy. We spoke to the Reception at our hotel who also told us that she had not had good reports and we should have eaten elsewhere. This isn't like Rita's where they say thank you, or Mehfil where the tables are fine dining. I have been to better greasy spoons in UK and roadside in India. Anyway when exploring Southall maybe best thing to do is have a coffee somewhere then decide if its worth eating a meal there. We wasted 18.00 and it wasn't a great experience, maybe it was just a bad day for them. I really look forward to eating in Southall and one experience won't put us off eating elsewhere.

It's was ok, I wouldn't recommend this place for great food.We ordered the paneer sizzler to start, a couple of curries for main with chappatti's and Jalebi for dessert. Our paneer sizzler had a 5p peice in it which was really strange and when showing the water we didn't get much of a reaction. Suppose it isn't fine dining so wasn't expecting anything extravagant or even for him to take it off the bill but a sorry or "I'll let the kitchen know" would have gone a far way.

I’ve visited this place a number of times. The first time I went, I noticed the staff are all Goans, so I was nervous ordering Punjabi paranthas. But they definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff are polite, not overly welcoming but always polite. Service is speedy. Their sweets/mithai is always fresh and sometimes I only go to get mithai. I have also taken my own hot case to get the paranthas packed in and they’re always accommodating. I don’t like chai there and chaat is okay but you can’t go wrong with paranthas.
