Went on Sunday and was delighted to find out that on Saturdays and Sundays this restaurant offers a buffet. The variety of food was amazing. White rice, rice and peas, coleslaw, Mac N Cheese, curried mutton, Jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, fish, salt fish fritters, dumplings, steamed veg and a few more bits. (Too much foe me to remember) The food was beautifull, very tasty. The restaurant provided a warm welcome and had a great family feel. The selection of drinks available is of abundance and the option to add a dessert is also available. My husband enjoyed a homemade apple pie and custard while I enjoyed an a fabulous rum cake with ice cream. This restaurant really is a hidden. Gem, based a few minutes walk from Birmingham city centre.

This was our second time dining here, and we received great service and superb food. Thank you for helping to make our Mother's Day a special one.

I booked this restaurant to celebrate my son's 23rd birthday and I was not disappointed. The music was on point and it was a welcoming atmosphere upon entering. Staff were so so helpful and accommodated me and my walking frame. Cosy, nice and friendly, a really nice vibe for my family and friends but more importantly my son loved the food. Dessert was missing but the birthday boy's cake compensated for that. We all had an amazing time. And I might add it was comfortable on everyone's pocket, plus you could order separate dishes from the menu. Lovely place I most definitely will come again. My trip from Nottingham was well worth it.

Banging food. All you can eat, drinks are an absolute bargain and tastes Fiyah. Good customer service nice chill atmosphere to go with the family. Jerk chicken was some of the best I've had in my life time. Whoever made tha needs a raise. 10/10

What a find this was. Needed somewhere to eat before visiting the O2 academy that is on the opposite side of the road. Pre booked and was greeted by the owner using my name. The food........man, the curry goat was insanely good. Very reasonable prices too. Go, definitely go if you are in the area.

We were a group of 11 and we all had a fantastic time. Each of the dishes provided were well cooked, delicious and continually topped up when running low. I tried a little of all the dishes available and a particular favourite was the pumpkin, sweet potato and butter bean curry. The spices in this dish was on point!! There was one larger party there who were celebrating a birthday. The music and atmosphere added to a really great experience. The only thing possibly to add would be a dessert option to the buffet, but not vital as I probably ate enough at the buffet!

I can't praise Deep Experience enough. We came for my brothers 50th surprise birthday and they were fantastic! Excellent communication prior to arrival and second to none customer service from everyone on their team. The food was fantastic. Best curry goat I've ever had at a restaurant. Celebrated my 60th birthday with family and friends. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff amazing polite and professional. Big shout out to Pauline the chef and the bar staff. Would highly recommend. We travelled from London and was not disappointed.

From the warm welcome by the Owner & Head Chef , Pauline to the continued warmness and service shown by her support team you are guaranteed great service. What you do not realise is the fantastic food that is to come! From her own family recipes this lovely lady produces jerk chicken & curry goat where you can enjoy every herb & spice which cascades into an explosion of taste which is definitive of the food you can enjoy from Jamaica. Sounds over the top? No, not really. You need to visit this ‘ off the beaten track’ restaurant to see what I mean. Then add your plaudits !!

Loved my experience. Had the buffet menu with around 6 dishes to try . All good sized portions, the mutton was my fav. First time dining here and I will definitely come back. Lovely staff too.

Went here to take food away I ordered oxtail with rice and peas and a portion of salt fish fritters The fritters were very very greasy and bland I couldn't eat them. The oxtail was salty which was a shame because the rice and peas was nice. My husband ordered vegetarian curry with fried dumplings the dumplings were horrid very hard in the middle. I asked if the food was being warmed in the micro wave and told the server we don't eat food warmed in the microwave I was told the ox tail was still cooking and would be another 5 minutes. I can tell you the oxtail I brought was not just cooked. We won't be going back.

We hired this company for our wedding and we absolutely loved every minute of it. We heard not 1 complaint about the food and had 180+ guests. The staff were absolutely amazing and the mannerisms in which were used were so professional it was unreal. Would highly recommend

I was really looking forward to trying out different dishes from the buffet menu...sadly there is very little choice, if you are a vegetarian or pescatarian, don't bother. Not even a fried chicken on offer. Service was sadly disappointing. We ordered drinks on arrival and waited 25 minutes for a cider and a coctail. Wouldn't mind if it was busy, but the place was dead quiet? One staff member was extremely rude and came to argue about our booking time. When realising we were right and they were wrong, there was no apology, they just turned around and walked away. The food we were offered was delicious, but only luke warm. Don't expect deserts, there aren't any. No time to order a second drink before closing time as they take so long to arrive. Sadly, it's not worth the money we paid.

First time attending Deep Caribbean Ordered drinks, took a long time to the point we had to re-ask, then when the drinks came it wasn’t ours it for another table. I am a pescatarian, not much choice just hake and salt fish fritters. The food was warm not hot then I found a hair in my rice and peas I told a member of staff she took my plate and that was it. I said to a member of staff in passing, wow it’s hot in here and the response was, it’s only gonna get hotter. No Aircon. For £25 ahead, I don’t think it’s worth it needs more choice, especially for the non-meat eaters my bill was £37. Nothing was said about the hair that I found in my food.

We ate really well this evening with generous quantities and deliciously spicy dishes (jerk chicken and goat with curry). Mention for the best Virgin Mojito ever drunk and made with professionalism and good products!

I didn't even know this place existed prior to being invited for a business meeting/dinner! I enjoyed the variety of food on offer from the carribbean buffet felt as though there was a lot of choice. Food was tasty and had good flavours. I found that the guys serving were very polite, friendly, and professional, and I enjoyed the kind of clientele that were present and how calm the environment was.

We went for a buffet Meal on Father’s Day. There was a varied selection of food, which was hot tasty, plentiful and good value for money. Staff were efficient and welcoming. Cocktails were the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, I was taken ill and the staff handled this sensitively and called for an ambulance. Thank you to everyone staff and customers for your sensitivity and patience. Our party will definitely be going again - next time as we missed out on our rum cake.

It was our first time in Birmingham and we stumbled across this restaurant on google, reviews were all great so decided to get a takeaway order from there. Fantastic prices for the food you get! Staff were friendly and called when our food was ready. Delicious food and great size portions. One of our orders was for a coleslaw but instead came with steamed veg which was very tasty so didn’t really matter. We especially enjoyed the curry mutton and fried plantain! Would recommend.

Always a warm welcome from Pauline. First class caribbean food, drinks and service. The ambience and atmosphere reflects the caribbean with musical hits too. If you haven't visited then you are missing out! Take aways available which replicate the same quality food.

What a lovely, clean and happy place to eat! Extremely friendly staff who helped and advised with the menu. Gave us different options with either a set menu or a Buffett. Johnathon was a down to earth fella who had a laugh with us! Great choice in booze! I was happy to be able to drink New Zealand white wine! Tasty food and generous portions! My husband was looking for a place that serves yard food and although the food was tasty and the buffet box was excellent value for money and highly recommended if sharing or hosting, our only constructive Criticism is the jerk chicken would have been nice barbecued and wait time for takeaway was slow. But overall fish and mutton was my fav and presentation and quantity was fantastic

Have not been to Deep for some years. Last time was for a 60th. When we visited this time family were visiting from abroad. The decor had been upgraded in the intervening years. The food then as well as now was excellent, delicious, flavoursome Jamaican food. It was buffet style and there was a wonderful array of food and it was good value. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will be returning soon.

The food is lovely however I find some members of staff to be abrupt when speaking to them and they frequently run out if food which is highly frustrating.

I attended this restaurant for a birthday meal, (my 3rd visit), the chef and all the staff were excellent, polite, patient and welcoming. We had a vast selection on the buffet, the food was delicious, hot, well presented and met all needs (vegetarian and pescatarian). The fish and jerk chicken were my faves. Drinks were served quickly from a great range..soft fruity flavours and alcoholic. Compliments galore from all who attended, I can't thank you enough for making our evening so special.

I have been a lover of Carribbean food most of my life but struggled to find a restaurant that delivered the authentic flavours and delicious food. This restaurant does just that. The food is absolutely delicious cooked with love by Pauline and boy can you taste it. The staff are polite, professional and also amazing tending to everybody's needs. The establishment is warm, welcoming, friendly and spotlessly clean. The restaurant just has it all, so book yourself a table so that you too can have the same experience that Deep Experience has to offer, enjoy.

What an experience! First class food from a first class chef! We visited as a family of four from Derby and we were not disappointed at all. From the moment that we walked in, we were made to feel at home, there was a great atmosphere, a no hassle buffet with a great selection of tasty Caribbean dishes, nothing was too much for the hospitable, friendly staff. Paulette the chef was present in the restaurant to have a little chat and greet the guests. We will definitely be paying this little gem another visit in the not too distant future! Brought my family here today and i was so happy with the service ! The food was in a league of its own ! everything cooked to perfection i would of ate all day but was full lol ! and make sure you get the rum punch ! it’s the best i’ve had ! Attended a private party. Buffet style food. The food was one of the better Caribbean food from a restaurant. Service was fine, no problems, no delays. They catered very well for the large group.

As the bride, and on behalf of the groom and our guests we were delighted and impressed with the quality and quantity, of food and service from all the Deep Experience Staff. Went here with my wife and son, and being Indian, had never tried Jamaican food. I absolutely loved the food, the curried goat was bang on and i loved the jerk chicken too! Service is great, my little son even got a few hugs on the way out. Defo recommend!!

Just had a lovely afternoon at Deep Carribean Experience. The food was nice BUT the apples crumble was the business. Not overly sweet or the apples sour. Just right. Just like your grandmother would make.

Came here with high expectations as I dined for the buffet option but was disappointed. The variety of food wasn't much, the food was luke warm and not hot. I was expecting desserts as its a buffet but this came at an extra cost on top of the buffet price as well as the fried chicken. I didn't see the value for money. I won't be coming back.

I recently hosted a housewarming party for 50+ guests. I contacted Deep Caribbean following a google search and reading their reviews. Pauline immediately contacted me to discuss my requirements. The food (mutton curry, hake, jerk chicken, fried chicken, rice & peas, coleslaw) was prime quality and cooked to perfection. We collected the food which was prepared hot and in sealed foil containers, ready to put straight into our chafing dishes. Every single one of my guests commented on how great the food was. There was more than enough for guests to come back for second helpings. I cannot express how pleased I have been with the service particularly as I had several last minute changes to the menu and an increase in numbers. I will certainly be asking Deep Caribbean to cater for all my future parties (there will be many), they did not disappoint. Thanks you Pauline and team. Went in after falling to secure bookings for other ‘TOP’ restaurants in Birmingham. My family are on the loud side but we were well looked after, food & drinks were good, music turned up on request👌🏾 Could of stayed there all night. Perfect venue & highly recommend. Anthony & the lovely young girl, thank you so much for making the night perfect.

Attended birthday celebration yesterday 5th August. 14 in group. Food and Service 1st class!!! Staff went over and above to accommodate and made us feel welcomed. Music on point. Planned to go here but didn't check closing times. As I arrived the owners were just going home, but they opened up again especially for us. Not sure I've ever experienced that so 10/10 for customer focus. Added to that the food was great and the owners are really nice people. Will defo be going back.

I arrived with a vegetarian appetite and was graciously accommodated with a deliciously seasoned ackee and calloloo meal with steamed veg. Pauline was very helpful and the flavours were authentic, with a touch of hot pepper sauce. Food nice eeeeeei!

Great food, we go here a couple of times a year and are never disappointed with the food. It is delicious and the staff are lovely.

It was truly an experience that I look forward to trying again. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. I have eaten here before and it was good before but now it seems they have found another gear and really excelled. Food was great and well presented making you want more. Thank you to the staff for a very enjoyable experience and I will certainly return. Background music really set it off.

My Jamaican husband and I enjoyed an anniversary meal here to remember our wedding in Jamaica. The atmosphere and flavouring of the food was authentic. There was lots to choose from on the menu including a variety of dishes for vegans and vegetarians. We enjoyed genuine Jamaican drinks/cocktails. The service was warm and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking genuine Jamaican hospitality and cuisine.

Hi went looking for this restaurant we were able to book a table on that day. When arrived we was welcomed made to feel at home the service was excellent the interaction was wonderful. We had the buffet there was so much choices. Having already visited a few West Indian restaurants and take always. This was by far the best. The food was delicious the food well seasoned the meat dishes were lovely and tender Tasty. The interaction by the host was very welcoming.. the drinks were lovely. Overall experience amazing .
