hadn't been to this recently, so decided to give it a go. it was lunchtime and tried to order a baked potato. was told to wait an hour as they had just gone in the oven. at lunchtime ????? fortunately there are other places nearby that do it so much better and definitely will not be visiting here again

Visited with a couple of friends on Saturday afternoon. Although it was busy we were served with perfectly done toasted teacakes. Really good mugs of tea as well. Thank you

This cafe is dark. Very little choice, they announce their baked potatoes over the tannoy, but no matter what time they never have any. Toasties come without any side salad. All in all boring.

Not impressed at all. Not obvious you had to ring for service so stood for a while. The hot chocolate wasn’t hot, the staff looked untidy and didn’t use gloves when handling the food for us to hear one of the them so “oh I’ve cut myself”! Also spoke Welsh when we are English. Great! They did heat the chocolate up, which was then of an acceptable temperature, but to be honest wasn’t a great experience.

For such a small establishment they offer a wide range of meals including toasties and paninis (with curly fries!), soup, jacket potatoes and even pizza! I come here every couple of weeks to meet up with some friends and there seems to be a lot of new staff but they are very welcoming and attentive. With their value meal deals it is definitely worth a visit!

It was January, I had been in town early and needed a drink. Enjoyed a lovely mug of coffee complete with a creme. Was served by a lad who apologised for the delay he was new to the post but was friendly and polite. I will go back as they had an excellent array of cakes and drinks and it looked a lot less expensive than other coffee shops in the area.

We called into the Range Coffee shop today and wished we hadn't...... first impressions... very drab and grubby looking. The time was 12.45pm bang on lunchtime but only one young lady was dealing with the long queue of people, Eventually another girl did emerge from the kitchen area to help out by making a ham /salad sandwich, picking up any stray salad wich fell onto the work surface with her fingers and popping it back on to the sandwich, then holding the finished product in her bare hands she proceeded to carry it to the customers' plate, then wiped her hands on her trousers. . Having already seen the inside of the oven/grill that theyuse for their Toasties I had decided not to eat anything and bought hot drinks instead. Needless to say this was the last time we will visit this particular Coffee Shop

Needs a good scrub Food is hit n miss Expensive for ping meals and basically tired looking, crap food and surroundings are cold and uncomfortable

Have used the cafe several times when visiting the store and have always been pleased with both the service and quality of the snacks. Not a great deal of choice but good value for money.

Ordered jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw .....firstly told no coleslaw ok we will just have it with cheese ......jacket potato arrived .....cold and undercooked and black inside ! Asked for refund and will never eat there again!

Terrible visit to the café at The Range. The young girl serving on the till was useless, not a clue. My fiancée ordered a panini, that was basically a microwaved baguette, not a proper panini at all. When my jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw arrived, I was informed that they had run out of grated cheese, so they had put slices of cheese in instead (image attached). I tried a mouthful of the coleslaw and it was vile. Trying to get a refund was turned into a traumatic experience and I was even told, "to be fair, the menu doesn't state that the cheese is grated". Who puts sliced cheese in a jacket potato?! Was refunded a pound less than I paid, so had to sort that out too. Shocking café. Maybe train your staff in customer service, monitor your stock and serve some decent food.

We have always found this cafe to be a little "hit or miss". We were there to buy a few things and needed a break so we called into the cafe area which has had a move around again with the tables and chairs. The cappuccino and tea is always good so we went for a sausage baguette which was very nice. It was nice ti see a bit of order there as at times it can be a bit of a mess but this time it was a very decent cafe experience.

I received a free lunch voucher to visit the café after spending over £50 in the shop.I found the sandwiches quite tasteless with very little filling. Checking the prices they were also quite expensive. In the future I would not pay to eat there.

As others have indicated this is a coffee shop and NOT a cafe. The service is very good and you get very good value for money. While I have only given an average rating overall and for the food it is slightly better than that but just under very good. and will definitely use the facility when visiting the store. Some others have quoted lack of choice and while this is true it is worth remembering this is not a café.

Despite being in a busy store the place has a nice atmosphere and good seating. It would be good to see a slightly larger sandwich variety. I found some of the cutlery to be dirty and one of our mugs was. I think the dishwasher might need a good clean. The staff are very friendly and service is quick. As a disabled person I find the condiments hard to reach and although there is a disabled toilet the soap was left on top of the window sill and thus difficult to reach.

Handy when shopping around can go have a break in the cafe. Lovely hot drinks and nice cakes. Friendly and helpful staff.

This in store coffee shop is NOT a cafe, lets get that straight ! It is, as it says a coffee shop, once you accept that, it becomes a much better deal. They do have some hot food, jacket potatoes with a selection of fillings,...

While shopping at the Range we thought we would try the coffee shop as a friend had recommended it. It was good to see it had a 5 rating, it was very clean. Toilet was very clean and tables were cleared as soon as customers...
