First time at this pub. Really friendly staff and locals. Good beer at really good prices. Nipped in for one and stayed for several in this traditional English pub. Will be back next year.

Lovely traditional pub. Visited on a Thursday evening and it was just the right type of busy - good atmosphere without being overcrowded. They had some local Rude Giant beers on tap, which was good to see. They also have darts and boardgames available, and luckily the back room was quiet so our awful attempt at darts wasn't witnessed by anyone else!

So pleased we found this place. If you like great music and good quality, well priced drinks, plus friendly locals this is the place for you. Thanks so much to the lovely lady behind the bar who made our evening work so well. Great jukebox, you can find everything on there. Really good fun, and thanks for enjoying my music choices and toasting my wife on her birthday!

Deacons is an un-reconstructed pub; a pub lover's pub. No frills, good beer and a great atmosphere. Located on Fisherton Street, just down from Salisbury Train Station. It's not a huge place, but it does have a good sized back room that can be privately hired. There's a library of board games, darts and lots to do. They have regular live music, themed nights, and karaoke events. The Landlady, Caz, is high energy and caring and she brings a great vibe to the place. She runs a tight ship, and the beer is always in top condition. There are the usual lagers and cider and they serve good real ales from a very local brewer (4 miles away). Deacon's is a "must do" stop on the way into or out of Salisbury or just a great place to bring friends for a fun evening. You regularly hear the phrase "I only dropped in for 1 drink" coming from people who stayed the whole evening 😉

What a fantastic pub! It's decor is beautifully unique, with wonderful nods to local history, and an eclectic collection of furniture that is plentiful and comfortable. I celebrated my 40th birthday here and had a brilliant night. Caz and her team were really accommodating, friendly and helpful. I was able to hire out the back part of the pub, and then take in my own food to serve. Nowhere else in Salisbury even came close to being able to provide this kind of service. The night went without a hitch, with quick service, great value drinks and a wonderful friendly atmosphere. I would 100% recommend Deacons to anyone wanting to have a party, meet with friends or just have a quiet drink - there is no better pub in Salisbury and I encourage everyone to stop in to experience it!

I popped in for a pint as my train was delayed, and found I had discovered a lovely pub! There is a friendly atmosphere, and the bar person (who I think is the manager) was very hospitable and had a great rapport with the locals. Brecon Deacons I call it, known for its mountainous views, beers, ice, friendship, decor... anyway. Tottenham are about to smash 5 in, theres only one glen hoddle. Jk its 2k19. Enough of that gaff where was I. It should DEA-cants, I was promised gorgeous babes and champagne and all I got was a grazed knee and pink eye - to be fair I do like to wipe my eyes on toilet handles... call me crazy... I dare you I'm 6 foot 3 and stacked... I once punched a man and he shouted. Dark walls, hallowed halls my balls ache when I enter the threshold. What can I say about Deacons. Not much as the atmosphere speaks for itself. Hot, wet, glistening with raw energy, I cant help but squeal with glee. [Scene : Las Vegas strip club] [Dialogue] " man this place looks like Deacons"

201808 This is one of the few (only?) pubs where you can leave your luggage in Sailsbury, which is the starting point of the Stonehenge tour. During our preliminary research, we found that there was no place to store suitcases and other luggage at Salisbury Station, which was a big problem for us as we were planning to visit Stonehenge from Salisbury on a personal train trip. I couldn't figure it out even after researching, so I emailed the tourist office in Salisbury and was told that this pub called Deacons was the only place where I could leave my luggage. Can I leave my luggage at the pub? ? I was worried, but when I entered the store, a friendly and charming man took care of my luggage. It was £4 per piece of luggage. I don't speak much English, so I wasn't able to properly express my gratitude for carrying me on my way home, but I'm very grateful. When I visited in the afternoon, there were 3-4 regular customers, but when I went to collect my luggage around 7pm, the place was full and everyone was happily drinking. If I had time, I would have liked to have a drink. It wasn't big, but it was a nice pub in town. Next time, I would like to enjoy the food and drinks as well.

Since doing this place up it has become a pleasant boozer to enjoy a decent pint of beer at a very reasonable price. Guest ales rotate and the guys on the bar know their stuff as well as their customers. It would be too easy to become a regular to this little haunt. Unfortunately the rooms in the oldest part of the building are just awful. Very cramped, difficult to reach by very steep stairs, low head height and overcrowded with poor quality furniture. Not even cleaned properly and very cold. Difficult to recommend these rooms to anyone however the rest of the hotel ( newer rooms) such as the dining area was comfortable and pleasant. Food very good and staff very helpful and friendly. My advice would be to avoid the old rooms if you can.

Nice place to go out with or meet up with people. Unfortunately won't be returning due to their high prices £5.10 for a pint of Carling. REALLY???? No disrespect meant but I won't pay that. I'm aware that the owners are now moving onto the Courthouse around the corner. I said in my review of the Courthouse that if your prices is anything to go by, then the chance that I give the Courthouse will be short lived. £5.10 for a pint of Carling is far too much.

Friday night group of six, friendly welcome but the pub was almost empty. Only one draft ale was available and ran out after our first round. Ordered some starters which were meh, overcooked from frozen, main course came out stone cold so had to be sent back. I guess with such a large menu the quality is difficult to maintain when the place is so quiet.
