The worse and the most disgusting Nigeria Resturant in Romford .. very poor food quality , I mean extremely poor Very poor customer service and who do you think you are to serve such disgusting food and still raise your voice at a customer that is complaining over poor quality food you know did not meet the expectations, tells a lot about where you come from. You know you cook rubbish yet you have the nerves to be rude You don’t follow instructions Food portion is an eye saw, eyes away Food wasn’t fresh, tasted like its been made weeks back The food stinks and I can only imagine how it was prepared.. this is food poisoning and this Resturant needs to be reported and called to order Even without visiting the place I can smell the dirtiness. Just a lil taste of the food , my throat and mouth starting feeling itchy . I was so excited to have found a African restaurant that delivers to me, however I am extremely disappointed ☹️ I wish I could give less than one star! FIRSTLY the puff puff is hard and over cooked, the smell that came from the packaging was enough to put you off. As a Nigerian babe, THAT IS NOT WHAT EGUSI OR EFORIO TASTE LIKE I I REPEAT THAT IS NOT EGUSI OR EFORIRO - IT TASTES BURNT OVERCOOKED AND ABSOLUTELY STINKS.. the chicken in stew tastes awful. It will all go in the bin because I cannot even try and eat it because it tastes that bad.. never again!!! Get a new chef! I read reviews after ordering and was hoping since they was months ago things would have changed but nope

The reception was friendly and jovial. We were attended to promptly and even got a free side dish as well

Good we came to taste was really nice. Had yam and a Nigerian traditional soup made with lots of different fish. Also had jollof rice to takeaway.

There is no prawn or any seafood items inside the okro aside of fish with bone and this cost me to be swallowing bone with okro. Its not fair at all

There's a need to improve your food, the jollof rice wasn't okay plus there are fish bones in the fish pie I bought there. Never going there again

The food was good but the customer service is terrible, i felt as if i should not be a paying customer. The young lady gave me a lot of attitude, as a business this issue should most definitely be rectified and i’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the same thing but nothing is being changed?

Avoid ordering delivery if you want value for your money. What I ordered versus what I received with a touch of horrible customer service and verbal abuse. It is not enough that you are paying more for delivery, they will reduce your food portion to maximise gain, mix your soup with stew or give you whatever they feel like and when you call to complain, they are unreasonable and shouty. Serial cheats. Take a look at photos of 2 separate deliveries. One half portion of ila alasepo. The other, what they delivered in my soup as meat, when I ordered and paid for abula and assorted meat. I thought it was a joke. I called and they denied it. Never again.

I ordered plain okro soup with ewa aganyin and beef. There was a selection of plain, assorted, beef and fish. I selected plain but I received a spoonful of okro mixed with beef and fish. I called them but found a loud and aggressive person on the phone who was shouting that they could “return my money, it was nothing to them.” And that I should have elected that I was allergic to fish and that plain okro meant it would have both meat and fish for the price I paid. I was shocked at how they handled this. Terrible service

Do better with the portion sizes

I took a kid there for her birthday and I was served rice and ayamase, I could barely eat it because the taste was extremely horrible, it was as if the food was poisoned. I contacted the manager to tell him and little did I know that he had deleted my number, he was blabing and insulting me in the phone. No one should visit this restaurant if you do not want to be poisoned, it is horrible there. The manager is very proud and has no respect for human being, this business should not exist.

Ordered great egusi and ogbono and was really great, 10/10 would recommend.

They need to do better with their stews. I got a plate of stew and it wasn't good. It's watery and full of tomatoes without any taste. Their eforiro is very nice tho.

I've been a customer for over a year through uber eats and initially the jollof was the best!! Now the taste is like sharp tomato. I gave it a long break and ordered today but same thing. Also the puff puff is salty and the second piece of chicken tasted off so I spat it out. I am sure maybe other things on their menu tastes nice but jollof is standard and should be great. I can't order again after this experience because I love my Nigerian food and want to enjoy what I am eating. Please look into the caterer and improve how the food is made especially the ones I mentioned.

I am not happy with the order. I ordered kolaq alagbo and I got origin bitters. Above all, the rice, stew and plantain came without a single meat. £24.50.

This is the worst african restaurant I've ever been to. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the dark big guy gave us attitude, no smile or greeting. It was a terrible customer experience. We tried to ask him for help with our order, and when the food finally came, it was horrible, chicken was dry, dodo was unripe and when I called their attention to it, even the woman cooking won't do anything about it. Horrible meal all round with zero courtesy. No apology or attempt to remedy the horrible meal. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I’m very much familiar with this restaurant as I’ve ordered from there 3 times now, eaten in once. I decided to buy there Ayamashe on the 7.5.2023. Upon looking at the stew I just recall seeing plenty oil, I mentioned the oil to my friend that I was with as i collected it, she also said the samething, yet we let it pass. In reviewing the stew I saw bubbles, I’m a very picky eater so I observed my food as I normally do. I didn’t take too much notice as I assumed maybe cause they had warmed it and it was sitting for collection. Upon eating the food, the meat did not taste fresh at all, fat on the meat, meat being cut anyhow to say they have forgotten about presentation and they are just selling food for the sake of selling. I ate small maybe 5 spoons and told my friend I’ve had enough as it wasn’t tasting like ayamashe. I have been using the toilet and throwing up since 3am and I’m still going. I thought you know what I know the stew makes you use the toilet but it shouldn’t be this bad, I myself have cooked the stew in my house hold serval times it’s not new to an African house hold, especially when your mum cooks for parties. Anyways sha, I went back to the food in the morning, I told my sister who had also ordered her own and is going through what I am going through, that she should smell the food, that me I can’t eat it. I will be contacting the store to see how they will respond. And if this matter doesn’t get resolved I will be going straight to tribunal. A store should be able to cater to what you expect, no rodo, just big pepper. It’s terrible I would advice you not to go there. I’m highly disappointed and WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

The place is really good and recommended to everyone. I love the light skinned guy, I guess d owner of d place, very friendly but d dark guy I met yesterday was really rude to I and my girlfriend. I had to convince my girlfriend to forget him. He's proud and saucy and spoke to us rudely. I told myself next time I go there and see he's d one on shift, I'll just turn back and eat elsewhere. Pls d organization should call him to order and treat customers with utmost respect.

How can I spend £3.50 for extra beef and get exactly 1 piece extra? That's just disrespectful. The Okra Soup was tasty and a good portion, but if I could get a refund for the beef, I would. I typically like this place when I go in person, so this was a letdown.

Family decided to try out this restaurant yesterday. Generally good, took time to grant our request for heating to be put on due to two of our group feeling chilly in the place, but they made up by other aspects of service. Decent place for Nigerian food if you are in Romford. Staff is pleasant enough. Food mostly good but not freshly cooked. Its not bad.

The first time I got jellof rice there, it was delicious. The second and third time wasn't so good. I got salty rice. I'm really hoping they get back to the first.

Suya was wet and not grilled or like any other suya, it looked boiled with no seasonings. Order came 3hrs late

Delivery time: 2-3 hours. Money paid for delivery should be refunded, to be frank. The first day I ordered, I waited for eternity, the food never came; just-eat refunded me. On second attempt, delivery took well over 2 hours. Food quality: Poor. I ordered Asaro with beef, some Moi-moi, 2 plates of EWA Agoyin, and some Dodo. Only the Dodo tasted Ok, like fried plantain you order from an Afro-carribean place though, not like Dodo from a Nigerian restaurant. The rest of the food tasted really weird. Restaurant Service: I was able to reach the Restaurant on phone to chase delivery, and they picked up each time. Not sure I will try them again. But if ever I do, only because I like to encourage our African businesses, I will provide an update here.

Do not visit this restaurant, it is the worst customer service I have ever received! The young lady that works there is incredibly rude, the wait times for the food is ridiculous and it just wasn’t worth the entire ordeal. Don’t know their business is still standing with the way they operate. It would help if they treated their customers like human beings.

Real Nigerian delicacies are served here. Enjoyed my amala with abula and assorted meat. Nigerian Guiness stout and palm wine made my day. Definitely visiting next time I'm in town.

These thieves. I made an order after it being almost 30minutes past its delivery, I called the restaurant, these ridiculously rude woman answered the phone and said "I cancelled your order collect back your money from just eat" it has come up on my app as delivered which I told her, she has never cancelled it and just try to keep the money, I said can she cancel it her end she said she did and just hang up. Still now it's not been cancelled I've basically been robbed. I don't even know what to do from here.

It was a terrible experience last week, I ordered amala and Abula but on getting to my hotel I got amala, watery stew, tasteless, pepper tasted not properly cooked Smelling like uncooked pepper, and tasted uncooked, we went there the following day, complained to the lady at the reception, she apologised and we bought some jollof rice, meatpie and chickenpie, which is another story on getting back to our hotel, the jollof rice was tasteless, she gave us fishpie instead, my children don't eat fish so I had to throw them in the bin...I will not return to your restaurant and will not recommend.

Did not enjoy the food and the whole order did not come

First time eating Carribean/African food, we ordered Eba Eforiro soup with Fish + Jollof rice & chicken, good portion size, we have left overs but not sure if we'll eat it.....very carb heavy as Eba & rice......fish & chicken both had skin on & fish felt overcooked, sauces/soup was very tomatoiey but we kinda liked the taste but everything had a very strong & peculiar smell,which wasnt very appetising, Eforiro tasted like standard british spinach but I love spinach so finished it all....loved the plantain fry that came with Jollof rice, I definetly want to try more variety of food but wont be my first choice.

Best food by the head chef, the Ayamase is to die for.👌

I bought some vegetable, okra and stew about a week ago. I wanted to try it all before leaving a review. Although the sea okra didn’t have much assorted as I expected but I tell you everyone of it was Amaaaaazing!!!! I enjoyed every bit of it. People, please patronize! Ordered from here one evening, superb food - a really nice homemade dinner and huge portions. The menu may not be the easiest to understand if you are not Nigerian but well worth a try all the same. I particularly recommend the jollof rice.

Jollof With Beef, Chicken & Fish Nigerian Fanta Orange Presentation Yes my foodies went to visit my friend Micheal been meaning to pay him a visit for a while, always get caught up me. well what can I say situated not far from Romford station this spot is a vibeeeee they got good music and great hospitality.💯 Jollof Rice This was cooked perfect, robust taste, earthy and peppery just how I like it. well though it wasn’t basmati rice how I would enjoy it. But this is the original way of making it every grain was perfect 🔥 Chicken Drumstick This drumstick had lots of flavour,but was abit on the tough side went great with the rice nether-less. Beef Chunk Now was looking forward to this but just wasn’t it really. tough and rubbery not like I usually have it. Fried Fish This caught me off guard by far the best African fish I’ve had. Reminded me of my native country fish but way better and no bones!. This was the winner for me with the rice this was a heavy combo. The boiled Egg was a nice touch too really enjoyed my meal here💯 Nigerian Fanta Orange One of my fave fantas can’t beat that taste get the full African taste here! Overall I enjoyed my visit here not everyday fast food and not everyday the same cuisine. if you a real foodie you will try any palate without hesitation, long as it don’t go against your beliefs. The hospitality and atmosphere here will really have you bobbing your head to Afro beat and eating jollof!. I rarely give a bad review but I think I will make an exception in this case. Went to this restaurant expecting very good food, but I was disappointed with the food. What I ordered wasn't what was served. Even the Jollof rice tasted funny. I think they may need to hire a new cook. On the positive side the restaurant is clean and good ambience.

The lounge was surprisingly empty for a Friday night. We ordered traditional Nigerian dishes poundo and okro and tuwo and abula, for those in the know 🙂. It was great value for money, we couldn't finish our £10per dish meal and had to take most of it home. The food was delicious even the next day and service was good. Worth a visit if you are into Nigerian food.

The light skinned male staff with a funky hair style was polite and resourceful ,he helped us decide what to eat. The food here is simply divine. This restaurant was amazing, not one thing to fault!! You walk in to a really well set out restaurant with a beautiful colour scheme, the food was lovely, the portion sizes were even better, and the customer service was friendly and super helpful from beginning to end!
