I didn't receive what I ordered 😒 23 £ for 6 puff puff while I ordered the day before... the scammed me literally I need a refund and it was for a birthday party now I don't know what to do.........

Food is good, but service needs to improve. The last 2 occasions I placed a takeaway order, I arrived in the restaurant to find that my order was not ready that meant I had to wait longer than I had budgeted, for the order I placed 25 minutes before collection to be made.

The staff was very disrespectful, slow, and lacked customer service focus. I had ordered food online and went to the store to collect and pay. When I arrived at the restaurant, someone was present. She looked at me, then turned her back and walked away without asking what I wanted or if I was there to pick up an order. I waited for five minutes to see if she would return, but nothing happened. After calling out to her, the lady finally came back, looked at me, and then turned around. Feeling ignored, I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. Overall, the customer service was nonexistent, and the staff seemed disinterested.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars. I'll definitely be ordering with you again. I've not been feeling great and needed a spicy soup to lift me back to health and it was perfect! I'll recommend buying from this restaurant 😋.

Disgusting to charge £12 for warm tasteless jollof rice and sauce Nothing but white rice cooked in tomatoes - worst jollof rice and most expensive iv ever experienced at least with special fried rice Chinese you get prawns and loads meat and half the price There is economy problems so stop cheating people with your small portion of expensive rice ! You lost a customer now

I have ordered here via deliveroo and always enjoyed my food, the other day I was on my way coming from somewhere, I thought I could ring up and order via the phone for collection. A woman answered, i asked her if I could get crocker and tilapia, she proceeded to tell me, so many people been calling and not coming to get there foods, so tell me if you are coming, am thinking errm I don't know what you are talking about I just want to order some food, then she told me the price, I challenged the price I thought it was a bit much, she then told me she was just a worker and that I needed to hurry up she had other things to do, so soo rude! I was disgusted by he response I just hang up and to be honest I dont want to order here again, despite I have always enjoyed the food and the food is nice, I just found the customer service poor and whoever the woman was.

De Mama’s catered for my Mum’s 80th birthday party and they were really great! We worked on the menu together, their staff arrived at the venue on time, everything was set up before my 200 guests arrived and they gave excellent customer service. Everyone commented on the food, which was delicious! At the end of the party, any left over food was packaged in takeaway boxes for guests to take home. A lovely touch! Would highly recommend.

My regular spot with family and friends for delicious freshly made meals and excellent customer service. The vibe at De Mama’son Friday nights is gregarious and groovy with an in house DJ. Will go again and again. Keep up the good work De Mama.

Sooooo not happy! £32 for a croaker which I didn't receive. Got tilapia instead which I hate! The wait was over 2 hours, order of £85 and couldn't even fill the rice containers properly, Totally ruined my mother's day meal, but it's my fault as it's not the 1st time I have been disappointed with this restaurant but I promise IT WILL BE MY LAST TIME! NEVER AGAIN!

Small portions , food poorly seasoned, over priced

I ordered yam porridge, jollof rice, moi moi, eba, efo elegusi, pounded yam. I was given Hake fish instead of the fish I ordered, I don't like Hake fish, the efo was too watery, I wanted the real pounded yam not the flour one. Apart from that I was still impressed.

They should not accept delivery orders they can’t fulfil. Run out of rice & peas and curry goat 1 half hours after you order. Then put phone down when trying to organise a refund…

I like it here, but the wait time was excruciatingly painful, coupled with the fact that there was ONLY 3 of us in the restaurant. Over an hour wait is too long for anywhere. However, the food was very tasty, but my yam and ugu vegetable was well too small. My brothers enjoyed their food. The suya was very tasty, but had ran out when I wanted takeaway. It was a bitter sweet experience. The drawback for me was the waiting time to get out order.

Quality - there was more fat than Goat in my order at £7 I would expect better,. Okra /ogbono mix was mostly okra and did not have lots of flavour. First time ordering I may try another dish but it didn't hit the spot

Ordered a number of items including fried tan and fried plantains, which were supposed to come with stew. Food arrived and stew was missing along with the extra portion of ripe fried plantains ordered. Called the restaurant and they picked up but put the phone down without saying a word. They’ve now taken their phone off the hook. I have a plate of food I can’t really eat - I had ordered the food as I wanted a complete dinner. Have been a long standing customer and this has left a bad taste in my mouth - won’t be ordering from here again in a hurry!

Still no refund or or vouchers, dishonest in their assurances which is disrespectful to customers. Do not order from here but search for other good reviews from other places who are better value for money and ethical. We were disappointed the portions were so small. The curried goat is very tasty but too small and potatoes added. The jerk chicken is too small also. When ordered again after the small and messy portion, we recieved stewed goat and not curried goat, which is not what we ordered. I did not recieve my vouchers of £10. I paid £35.28 for the original order and £15.59 x 2 for the wrong order. So I think that needs to be reflected and reimbursed. We all love the jollof rice, plantain, jerk chicken and curried goat. I just think the portions are too small with regard to meat and when you request curried goat carribean style then you should not recieve goat stew Nigerian style as they are very different. The £15.59 got thrown away in the bin. I was a regular customer with one order of £35.28 and 2 orders of £15.59 that should be reflected in the vouchers you stated you would provide. We did not pay £13 but over £65! The owner never stuck to her word so beware of who you give your custom and maybe try deliveroo also.

This was my first time trying Nigerian food. The Pounded yam decent, however the Egusi soup didn't taste nice at all. But this was my first time and I don't know if it was just the Egusi soup in general or from this place. I'm not saying Nigerian food is bad at all, I still have lots to excitingly try, it's just this experience wasn't the best. But thank you anyway.

Ordered from here, a cooler of rice and 75 pieces of puff puff. Both were fresh and tasted very lovely. My father in law even commented that the puff puff tasted close to the one made in Nigeria. Great communication throughout from the owners about collection. All in all very pleased with the service and food, will be ordering again.

Very small amount of food for the price!! No juice to dip your swollow either and lacks flavour. Disappointing!

Very slow service wasn't happy with the quality and grade of food, it didn't seem fresh and the portion of meat was ridiculously small not even fit for a child's meal the meal was over priced and prices seem to be adjusted as they feel and not coinciding with the price board above the counter, unfortunately I will not be visiting this shop again disappointing. 😞

Tried to over charge and they seem to make up prices as they go along and blatantly the price board is clearly displayed above the counter, i didn’t get what I ordered and waiting for over 30mins near 45min and shop was empty, as I went into the shop and ordered the food I asked for jerk chicken and I got 3 drumsticks with sauce and when I asked the lady said the jerk chicken was finished… if she said before I would of changed my order completely… Don’t think I will go there again

Customer service is really good however I did not enjoy the puff puff as it was hard to bite into and chewy. I paid £2 for 5 portion.

I ordered beef suya and oha soup with pounded yam. I have used their services before and has always been good. Sometimes scattered but the portions and quality satisfactory. Today's order of Oha soup was shocking and when I spoke to the owner I was disappointed in her response. I received half a portion for the price I paid for Oha soup and asked for better customer services. It was a disaster speaking to Marilyn. I am so upset. Very little soup, that was not enough for one sitting. I will struggle to use them again.

Delighted to have this restaurant on my doorstop within easy reach for pick up or if im feeling lazy delivery. The food is really tasty and well seasonsed . My favourite the Edikaikong is 10/10 very nice!!!

Beef come in two containers one was soft tasty meat the 2nd was dry and tough. The jellof rice was disappointing had a soapy taste to it very disappointed on my first order.

Jollof on point and the fish moin moin was good too. The asun was well seasoned and spiced but more bone than meat. The assorted meat was tough and difficult to chew. Generally good but eating meat shouldn’t be this much hard work!

Ordered goat meat asun. It was delivered without any cutlery or toothpick or serviettes even though I'm staying in a hotel. More than half of it was bones! Took about 40 minutes to assign a driver. Portion was not value for money.

No meat or fish in any of the egusi or okra options as with all other African restaurants we have ordered from therefore cost is unjustified for blended vegetables & beans! Portion sizes did not even fill containers! Rice & peas was very dry. We were disappointed after waiting over an hour for delivery. Not worth the money & won’t be ordering from here again

Wow! De mama's kitchen is the place to eat. I wouldn't have it any other way. The authentic taste hits my taste buds as though I were in my own mama's kitchen. Cooking at it's best.

I was a disappointed with the De Mama’s Whole Grilled Fish, Large and fried yams. the fish was way to salt and way overcooked, they fried yams where put in together with fish and this made made soggy.

The Suya was more of fat hidden in suya season mix rather than actual meat. And you get more/bigger portions and cheaper form a few other restaurants.
