De Fresh in Leeds

We’d not been here for a take away for a while. It was fab, really good value, piping hot and tasty. The salt and pepper squid being very good. Also had nice chat with the lady at the counter during my brief wait.One thing to remember though - it’s cash only, but there’s a cash point nearby if you forget (like I did!).I can definitely recommend De Fresh.

Aunque nos gusta la comida, la entrega es impactante, esperamos casi 2 horas, los llamamos y les pedimos una reducción de precio debido al largo tiempo de espera, dejaron 1. 40) El chico que entregó nuestra comida discutía sobre la reducción de precios, de fresh no lo había contactado para avisarle. De fresh ha cambiado mucho para lo peor desde que se mudaron del restaurante Moor Allerton, no estoy seguro de si volveré a ordenar.

This is NOT a restaurant as described here at all. It’s a take-out, no seating at all. Wasted journey. Even more confusing is to let people think it’s their old restaurant in new premises.

OK well this Chinese us far above any other I've tried in Leeds at anormal price. Shocked by the quality 5*

The De Fresh take away se especializa en deliciosos platos de comida china y tailandesa deliciosos, todos cocinados en el entorno más limpio, por lo que el certificado de higiene de 5 estrellas se muestra claramente junto con el certificado de Excelencia de Trip Advisor.Ofrecen una amplia variedad de platos, incluidos muchos favoritos antiguos, y también ofrecen una amplia selección de nuevos.Todas las comidas se preparan a la perfección y se sirven calientes, luego se envasan en recipientes de buena calidad para su viaje de regreso a casa.El De Fresh es uno de los mejores platos chinos siempre en Yorkshire y es muy recomendable.

Very good, portions not the largest and food on the spicy side. Now have a take away near Scott Hall, have not tried this as yet

Went to the restaurant loads and always enjoyed. The takeaway wasn't a touch on before. Was edible but really didn't enjoy it. Ordered it thinking it was golden wok which obviously has now shut down

Después de haber comido en el restaurante regularmente y disfrutamos de toda la experiencia, queríamos seguir apoyando De Fresco cuando se trasladaron y se convirtieron en premisas llevar solamente. Un pedido sobre las 19:00h y nos aconsejaron una entrega de eta de 30 - 40 minutos. Persiguieron la orden a las 8 de la tarde y estaban muy ocupados, pero el conductor estaba en su camino. Finalmente llegamos a las 9 de la comida. 30 con posterioridad a otras llamadas donde nos acusó de mentir acerca de la ETA, de hecho las palabras recomienda "que eran su palabra contra la mía". Ninguna disculpa o explicación. No nos esta vez ha rechazado hambrientos nos habría la entrega. En general, la comida era buena, pero con que la entrega y actitud de servicio al cliente, no lo usaremos de Fresco de nuevo!

Nos hicimos un pedido por teléfono para colección. Fuimos a regresar a casa para encontrar completamente el orden equivocado. Llamó y me dijeron que mi pedido estaba todavía en el chino, pero podría mantener el orden que tenía en su lugar. Dijo que quisieras mi pedido. Volvimos a llegar mi pedido y en vez de una disculpa me dijeron que debia un extra de £2! Cuando finalmente se sentó a comer era muy normalito. No vamos allí.

Nos dijeron que cuando pedimos 45 minutos. Después de esperar una hora me persiguieron, 'ah, ya fuera". Otros 15 minutos y todavía no había comida. Llamé de nuevo. Yo inicié no debería tener que pagar el precio completo que nos han dicho que este largo no hubiera pedido. Ella me ofreció el cargo de entrega de golpear!!! £2 - wow! Cuando finalmente llegó la orden estaba equivocada. Después de un desastre Los desastres! Basura - no hay simpatía. No volveré.

El servicio de atención al cliente es de lo peor que he tenido desde una comida para llevar. No conseguimos la orden pedimos y pagamos casi 70 euros para 5 personas, lo cual no hubiera sido un problema que nos ha entregado la buena comida y la comida que habíamos pedido. Cuando llamamos para explicar un principal y un lado no nos trajeron el personal era grosero e irrespetuoso. Esta es la primera vez que he escrito una crítica y nunca se pide de nuevo aquí.

Gorgeous food, wide menu, exceptionally helpful staff. Anyone who likes Chinese cuisine would be well advised to eat here.

Creo que este se abre a las 11 hasta las 2 y 4/5 hasta tarde y creo que también hay una comida para llevar. Me dieron las costillas barbacoa, que era encantador y mi madre nos dieron un plato de arroz con pollo frito, el arroz llegó en un bowl que mi madre podría ayudar si ella misma quería más. Cuando termine mi costillas a la barbacoa me dieron un plato pequeño para lavar mis manos en que me pareció muy agradable. Me gusta este lugar, sin embargo he escuchado rumores de malas que no sé si creer o no.

Decidimos coger comida para llevar y lo llaman de fresco que acordaron entregar en 45 minutos, pero la comida llegó en 30 minutos, tan bien hecho sobre eso! Esperábamos la comida con calidad de restaurante, y nos decepcionó un poco. Sin duda, las comidas eran adecuadas y como se ha descrito, pero por alguna razón algo parecía faltarle. Las verduras eran pocos y lejos entre sí y no limpio y fresco. Los fideos estaban un poco gruesas para mi gusto y me sentí el bistec era no era el mejor del mundo cortada.

Called for lunch as we were collecting stuff from Laura Ashley nearby, and opted for the two course lunch menu at £6.95. Pancake rolls were hot, but quite bland. Chicken curry with fried rice (50p extra) was standard food with the cheap, disgusting, flavourless reconstituted chicken that I cannot believe anybody still uses & typical curry sauce. Lady M's starter of courgettes was also flavourless (& she left most of it) but her vegetarian curry was much better.We were the only diners in a cold restaurant very lacking in atmosphere. Maybe it would be better on a warmer day with more diners, but it was not inspiring today. Our waitress was lovely, the food hot, but that's about where the positives end.Doubt if we would return, sorry.

It's really difficult to find a Chinese restaurant that can cater for Gluten intolerant people, so De Fresh stands out. The staff are well-informed about food allergies so it makes eating out or ordering a takeaway simple for us with a Coeliac disease sufferer in the family. The food is always tasty and freshly cooked, recommended for eat in or take home.

Visited here recently with family for a meal. Food is beautiful and there is a wide range of options as well as a fully licensed bar. Food is good value for the quality and quantity. This is not the fanciest place but it is by no means shabby and has a lovely feel about it and staff are friendly

8 of us went to celebrate a birthday and decided upon the set menu at £25 per person. This got you - Prawn Crackers, Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup - a host of mixed appetisers - Shredded Duck Pancakes and a selection of Main Meals with Special Fried Rice. Well the food was top notch and we were all struggling after the duck but made room for the main course as it was so tasty. Been here a few times now and never had a bad dining experience. Would definitely recommend.

Atrocious service when taking orders in person. I had a small order of two starters, two mains and a soup on a weekly basis. Despite feedback that they were taking regular custom for granted, my order was repeatedly interrupted by a mature waitress taking several orders via phone (8 calls during the last visit) whilst taking my order and even serving customers as they walked in the door while serving me, even though two other waiting staff were available to take their orders or show them to a table. It was chaotic every Gig time. What should have taken 2 minutes, took 15+ minutes! The manager couldn't care less, either. Too expensive, too oily, flavour too inconsistent (apart from a couple of weeks) and no rice included with many dishes that already cost £2-4 more than other takeaways where rice is included to keep going back. Can't recommend.

great food..prefer taking the food out, as the decor inside could do some upgrading. But food is excellent!!

I was not sure what to expect as I had read conflicting reviews, but the welcome was very friendly and service was quick and they were so polite. the starters were delicious, the main courses were average. We had children in our group and it was most certainly a child friendly restaurant. Would I go back most definitely,it was value for money and the food on the whole was good.

Prawn Crackers and Singapore Chow MeinOrdered as a takeaway for collection, ready on arrival, no delay. Crackers were fresh and crisp, Chow Mein was spicy and well-seasoned. Not greasy either. It did have the hint of the taste of a Chinese curry, as opposed to Malaysian spices, otherwise it might have deserved the full 5 / 5!

I have visited this restaurant countless number of times over the years for mostly takeaways. The staffs are polite and quality of food is fabulous. On a few occasions over the years, quality dropped slightly and by that I mean things like over cooked rice, over fried spring rolls or one occasion I was given a completely different order which I couldn't return because they'd closed. I recommend their food and you'll certainly get a good atmosphere to go with your meal, if you decide to eat in the restaurant.

I have eaten here many times and the food has always been very good, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is more cafe style.

This is a Chinese restaurant, so I can't fathom why they chose this name!!Situated in a retail type park, the last place you would expect to find a restaurant, therefore I had no high hopes as we entered.The interior was pleasant, decorated traditionally with pretty lanterns, and although it was a bit empty for Mothers' day, it soon filled up with similar parties, which gave it some atmosphere.The staff were charming and attentive and the food tasty. I ordered a glass of piesporter and was pleasantly surprised. The only downside was when seated, a leaflet was on the table stating that if a table was booked for Mothers' day, there would be a discount (10%, I think); and free fortune cookies. I left it out for the waitress, as I was going to ask about it, but she hurriedly tucked it back into the menu holder!! As It was not me who had booked the table, I didn't bother to query it, but I do feel that this offer ought to have been honoured, as it was obvious that it had been noticed by us??!

My family and I have religiously used De Fresh for quite a few years and I was delighted to find out that they offered gluten free food! I wasn't expecting much choice but surprisingly they can adapt a large proportion of their menu to be gluten free! Our waiter was very helpful and I definitely felt in safe hands. The food tasted just as good gluten free as I remember it used to, which is more than can be said for other restaurants which offer gluten free food! They must be doing gluten free properly because I wasn't ill after the meal. I will definitely be returning - fantastic Chinese restaurant, definitely worth a visit.

haven't eaten in here or from here in a very long time but just out of hospital and hubby didn't want to leave me on my own for too long. The food was poor tasteless and cooked in old oil. My husband spent the night throwing up. How ever long it had been since I last patronised this place wasn't long enough. Sorry, De Fresh but you need to have a serious re think!

Really great food, great service and atmosphere absolutely will go back again portion size really good - large choice on menu

visited this Chinese restaurant for lunch today. The restaurant was cold. My mother and I wore our coats throughout our meal.My mother had chicken sweet and sour. When the meal came there was hardly any sauce, asked the waitress if we could have a little more sauce as the meal was too try. She brought a little more sauce.When we received the bill we cudnt believe that they had added £1.50 onto the bill. We was astonished and queried this with the waitress she said the manager said to charge for it. I complained but they were not bothered.This is the second time I have used this restaurant/takeaway and have been unhappy now on both occasions. Very disappointed, and can confirm that we will not be giving them any other chances.

Took my daughter back to Headingley to her student digs and she fancied a Chinese but none in that area. Found this place on trip advisor. Soup starters where tasty and filling. Mains where big standard Chinese what said on the tin. It's situated on a small shopping block next to Sainsburys and is a bit jaded but would I go back. Not for an important family occasion no but for a quick team time family meal yes.

So surprised at the other reviews. This is some of the best chinese and thai food you find in leeds in a relaxed little restaurant with some of the friendliest staff you hope for who go out of their way to make you feel special

Got takeaway sat night 10pm. Was awful. The meal was dry and completely tasteless. The rice was also realy dry as tho it had been cooked hours ago. went back to defresh. staff didnt seem bothered. Very very disappointed. Wont go again. Felt as tho it was a left over meal. Not impressed.

The food here is lovely, the choices are at a high. my only downfall? I felt asif i was getting watched when eating, after i got given a menu, i looked through the first page and the lady was back?. quick orders.when I finished , suddenly the salker waiter was gone.The drinks are tiny for the price. the dersert made me laugh - it was called funky supprise - it was tiny

We used to go to Defresh quite regularly. The staff were always very friendly and showed a genuine interest in their customers. It seems the place has been taken over and the staff are hardly bothered at all. We walked in to an empty restaurant except for one table of two. We ordered two drinks and 30 seconds later the waiter came to take our order-we hadn't even had chance to open to menus. I ordered a two starters as a main course and my friend had a main, chicken fried rice and a side sauce. One of my starters came and then 4 minutes later my second dish and friends main. I ordered prawn toast which was hot, fresh and quite nice, but slightly dry with no sauce. I asked for some sweet and sour sauce to use as a dip and was asked why I needed it when my friend had curry sauce! I was surprised for £4.80 it didn't come with anything. I was then charged £1.50 for the sauce. The main course was average, but served hot. We sat for 15 minutes whilst our table was not cleared and then had to grab the attention of somebody in the kitchen to have the bill as there wasn't one member of serving staff out the whole way through our meal, nor did they ask if everything was ok, they were too busy in the kitchen trying to fix one of the lights (which caused the lights to go out in the whole place about 5 times) in the end we paid our bill and left, which was expensive for what we had considering what we had (and we only had a coke and a lemonade to drink). Won't be going again, there are far better places around for the money for pay here for bad service and average food.

Best chinese food ive had. The staff are absolutely lovely, my mum goes every single week and me once a month because of the staff, they make you feel so at home and they give you the best service. The food is so so lovely and the yummiest prawn crackers! From the poor reviews I have read I disagree completely! You must all be used to dining at the ritz! Incredible, only chinese restaurant I go to.

This restaurant started off really bad with cheap deals which was obvious why it was cheap when you got the food. I usually got takeaways. I stopped for a while then started using them again. It slightly improved a bit for a short time, but unfortunately once again the food is dreadful, it's everything opposite to what it say, ifs not fresh what so ever, I am not convinced they are using beef and not horse meat it was that tough. I have now found a chinese that beats this one hands down far better quality far superior food and similar costs called GW-U at Chapel Allerton. Better by far.

This place is dire! A cross between God's waiting room and the Jeremy Kyle show. The decor is basically photographs of past diners or should I say a house of horrors! But let's get on to the food, bland, tasteless and gloopy! This place has no redeeming features whatsoever, avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Me and my friend have been here numerous times however on our last visit we found that one particular staff member was extremely rude as they made us feel rushed to finish, watched over our shoulder as we ate, was very judging on what we bought and generally made us feel very uncomfortable. Food was lovely but we couldn't enjoy because of the atmosphere. We are regular customers and we're very disappointed with this and hope this situation doesn't happen again.

As regular visitors to Hong Kong, we were curious how this restaurant would compare considering all the staff are from Hong Kong. On the night we were there, the restaurant was about half full, but seemed very busy with takeaway orders, because the phone rang almost constantly; this was clearly a good sign.We ordered a vegetarian mushroom soup, vegetarian fried rice and vegetarian noodles.The small but adequate bowl of soup arrived after about 10 minutes, and our main meals about 20 minutes later, giving us a reasonable break between courses.We found the main course serving sizes more than adequate, and the food tasty.We found all the staff very friendly; we were even given a bamboo calendar as a gift on leaving. If we return to Leeds we'll certainly visit here again.

I'm not the world's biggest Chinese food fan- I'm more into my curries- but were I to have one again, I would defintely come here again. The staff are so old-school sweet and attentive, but never once did we feel rushed or harried. We had dim sum and salt and pepper ribs to start followed by sezchuan chicken and king prawn in black bean sauce. The ingredients were fresh and evidently freshly cooked and you weren't bashed over the head with salt or seasoning, all the flavours were nicely balanced. I have only marked down on atmosphere as it was very quiet, it being a Sunday, but I am told booking is essential on a Friday/Saturday. The background music was mental- I heard Bonnie Tyler, Bette Midler and Simply Red but it made me smile nonetheless. Go, if you like Chinese. If you're not a fan, I'm not sure this would convert you.

First time we've ordered at De Fresh and I must say, the food is amazing. The lady on the phone gave helpful advice with the vegetarian meals. Will definitely return.

We ordered a take away to give them a second chance, yet again the food was luke warm & tasteless. Chicken dry, bbq spare ribs...couldn't tell if bbq or not, was tasteless in a greasy red residue of a sauce. Rang to complain but didn't get chance as she put the phone down. DeFresh...I think DeFrozen sums it up better. Stay away!

Second time we've been here. We travelled 7 miles to do so this time. Hot tasty food. Very nice staff. We will be back.

De Fresh is a lovely restaurant serving delicious food with an excellent service! I live about 15 miles away from the restaurant but will drive past many others to eat here. I'm half Chinese-Malaysian so eaten plenty of chinese food in my life - both authentic and westernised - and this is one of the best :) The service is always very friendly and smiley. And the Toffee Banana dessert....is to die for!! The best for miles around :)

Having lived in Leeds for a couple of years now, I had yet to find a half decent Chinese take away or restaurant. This place is fantastic, and they are not tight on the seafood like most places are.Fantastic salt and pepper squid. We went on a Monday night expecting the place to be deserted due to the location and it being a Monday night, but not at all the place was about 50% full which I thought spoke for itself...This place obviously gets by through word of mouth and I will be recommending it to others...Also.. delivery is very quick if you order a take away :)

I have had the misfortune of trying many iof the Chinese establishments in Leeds, most of which are sadly appalling. If you like the Leeds version of a Chinese experience then this is not for you!Healthy, authentic and superb quality. Wish I could afford to eat here more often. I don't mind paying the price when the food is so good.We as a family often use their take away delivery service.Food.Others have reported that the thai curries are not the best, I can't comment on that as I enjoy their crispy lemon chicken and their beef curry too much to try much else :)I did find their Sweet and Sour Fish far too fishy in flavour and couldn't eat it. Their duck is to die for and I can't recommend it enough!Our old favourite the Fortune River in Oakwood is sadly no more (having relocated) but De Fresh has taken over and is our new favourite Chinese. I dare to say it's possibly even better than Fortune River used to be.

My daughter and I regularly eat out & so I'd like to think we know good quality from bad. Being on a short schedule and a tight budget we decided on a simple main each with fried rice, Thai green curry and mixed veg curry. For drinks we opted for a pint of soda with lime cordial each, this usually being not only very refreshing but considerably cheaper than coke, lemonade etc. The food was delivered to our table in around 7 minutes, which raised my suspicions as it seemed far too quick. The normal veg curry looked "ok" but the Thai green was unlike any Thai green I've ever seen in my life. It was disgusting, it looked like wallpaper paste, it was most definitely out of a packet. We promptly sent it back and although we were assured it wasn't out of a packet I suspect this wasn't true! They did offer to replace it but we declined being in a rush and simply shared the one curry and rice which was adequate but not remarkable. When the bill came they had taken off the Thai curry but charged us £5.40 for 2 pints of soda water! I questioned this and told them that to buy the same thing over the road in the pub is 80p - it's water for gods sake! Ultimately I paid it however I strongly advise you to keep well clear of this restaurant, the staff seem nice but the food atmosphere and decor are diabolical!

Arrived about 1.15pm for a special lunch (2 courses 6.95) Good ingredients, fresh and a clean slightly regimented layout populated geriatrically. I felt young at 63. Portion size adequate.We asked for a coffee at 2.05pm and we were told firmly but not abruptly, that no coffees were served after 2pm which is, I suppose, fair enough, but the restaurant was still quite full. It took the edge off the experience but I will return.

Food very good dim sums are gorgeous but would love more variety. Service good polite. Mains are tasty and they always come and ask you if all is ok. Good price. Don't get loads of food you could finish a main if you didn't have a starter but I've just seen this place and have been going for some months now and really like it. Clean place. Friendly staff and tasty food.

Since Jade Dragon closed I have been looking for a another Chinese restaurant near Chapel Allerton and luckily found this one. Not like the pretentious city restaurants, this place is friendly relaxing and food is pretty good too. Yes you might be able to find slightly better food but the friendly atmosphere and staff more then make up the experience and I'm looking forward to many more nights out here.

I have food allergies to gluten, dairy and eggs which severly limits where I can eat out. The staff always remember me and recommend great meals that I can eat with my dietary restrictions. Service is always prompt, the food tasty, and the meals are always prepared right.

I'd give 4.5 stars if I could, only because the "Thai" food on the menu is not anything like the Thai food I'm used to-I think it's their own version.The Chinese food is outstanding, though, and not anywhere near as greasy as most places I've tried. Fresh, tasty, and no problem to add or change things-try the black bean dish with extra garlic! Very consistent every time-takeaway and eat-in.

Ignore the negative reviews on here, they must have gone somewhere else!I have been loads of times and although it isn't the cheapest around it's great. Food is freshly made and tastes much superior to "normal MSG food/buffet food". I had prawn special chow mein and the prawns were amazing. Friendly staff and good food in a clean place with free parking - dont travel into Leeds if you live in North Leeds, go here. A1 :)

Went in for the Ealy Bird menu. I should have known better. Hot and Sour soup was hot and looked and tasted like wallpaper paste (I'm assuming wallpaper paste tastes like this!). Closely followed by Thai curry that didn't have the slightest resemblance to Thai Curry. Again tasteless and like glue. Lumpy congealed rice. Flavourless tea.Perhaps it's true. The early bird catches the worm!

I always found Very friedly staff, fresh cooked food, open cooking area, no problem for parking at all, reasonable food price,clean and tidy area.

The De Fresh is located next to a video store in the Sainsburys shopping complex at Moor Allerton. This means there is tons of parking right outside making this a dead easy place to eat out and pop into Sainsburys for whatever you ran out of on the way home.The staff are what stand out in this restaurant. They are genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel truly welcome and "at home". They really care that you have a good time. The service is prompt but you never feel rushed. The restaurant is spacious and spotlessly clean.We have eaten at De Fresh a couple of times and also had takeaway. The food has always been good and the price is, I think for eating in with such good service, reasonable.

Eaten here quite a few times now and the food has been consistently good.Food is always freshly cooked and tasty with lots of fresh vegetables on show and good quality meat. I had given up on ordering beef dishes in Chinese restaurants in UK but I'm pleased to say they have many fillet steak dishes which are excellent although even the standard beef is of a decent standard and not the usual grey tenderized stuff you find in many restaurants and takeaways.The staff are very friendly and helpful and keep the restaurant spotlessly clean.The restaurant itself is in an old retail unit and as such suffers from a lack of warmth and character so maybe not the best place for a romantic dinner. However, for a quick bite or a night out with a group of friends or family it is ideal.

If you want friendly service and good food then this place is for you. The staff could not make you feel more at home. The service is friendly yet efficient and you are never left waiting too long or feel like your being rushed, The food is great, with a wide variety of dishes. Every dish is full of flavour and of a great standard. We will be going back time and time again!

I am quite frankly shocked to see this restaurant in the Leeds top 20 - it simply is not a fair rating, especially when you see the likes of Olive Tree (Headingley) much further down the list. The food tasted like it was completed soaked in MSG and the flavours were insipid and nondescript. The restaurant itself is far from cosy and could do with a bit of a make-over, it reminded me of a 1980s canteen!! I have had (far) better chinese/thai meals and will not be revisiting. I would also say that this restaurant is very expensive - the pricing is similar to the Sukothai and Chaophraya!!

We've been to this restaurant quite a few times. It's a surprising little gem, hidden away. The food is lovely and always fresh. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is good. They often recommend dishes based on what we've previously ordered. They have a completely seperate vegetarian menu with lots of choice, full og tasty dishes.

firstly the good points:- service excellent very friendly, very clean restaurant with the kitchens on show, good parking, large menu and reasonable prices.the bad points. the food was very bland and lacked any taste what-so-ever. started with (house specialty) minced pork wrapped in lettuce leaf. reminded us of left over weekend joint minced with carrots, onions. the only flavour came from the side dish of plum sauce. the mains:- cod pieces in ginger, spring onion and black bean sauce, cod very good, sauce clear white-ish sauce which had no flavour (don't know where the black bean was). chicken fillets in crab sauce again clear white-ish sauce with a few bits of broken up supermarket crab sticks in it, once again no flavour at all. thank goodness there was some soya sauce to pour over. maybe this is the way their customers prefer the food. however not for us we like true flavours to come through. surprised this is the trip advisors number one chinese in leeds. very dissapointed.

Easy to park, extremely clean, fresh ingredients and great friendly service- i unreservedly recommend!

Being gonig now for over 2 years and we have never had a bad meal. The food is fresh the people are friendly and the place is spotless. Told everybody i now and they all agree it is if not the best chinese in leeds.

This is a fab restaurant the food is always good. The staff are outstanding and as I have coeliac disease so I can't eat Gluten, however they will adapt most dishes so they are gluten free. I see some people have commented about the exterior but all I say is don't judge a book by it's cover! They will go out of there way to give you the best food and service. Not found a better chinese.

Excellent food, excellent service. The no MSG and low oil cooking made the food taste fab too.

Visited this restaurant recently - 2 families together with 5 kids.The food is fantastic - they strive to cut MSG in their cooking, and reduce salt and oil where possible, the waitress explained, resulting in fresher tasting food.Service was superb - no issue in recommending this to anyone.If I had to make a small criticism, the name of the restaurant sounded like a sanitary product and the exterior decor was garish - more family meal than romantic meal for two.

Although this restaurant has not had many reviews it certainly stood up to it's reputation for excellent food and service. This was my first visit.As a few other reviewers have mentioned, you could easily be put off by it's location...don't be - in fact I view this as a positive. Easy to find, ample (and safe) parking directly outside and I got the distinct impression, even from the time of booking, that they (the restaurant management and chefs) try harder than most restaurants tend to to make the whole experience worthwhile and enjoyable. The food was served promptly, but not rushed, and thought was given as to whether we'd like a short break between courses (nice touch, as we did!). Fresh and wonderfully tasty food throughout....We were hosted by a lady called Carol...nothing was too much trouble!In summary: - great food - outstanding customer service - fantastic value for moneyThank you to all at De Fresh for a lovely eating experience.Carl

Always within the bounds of a "reasonable price.O.K. so it is in an industrial park and the furnishings could be more luxurious but thats the only down side for me. I have been to this restaurant dozens of times and hopefully will be around to visit a lot more. Having visited all the other places mentioned in other reviews I would say, everyone is entitled to their opinion but I will stick to De Fresh. Having got back from a London visit this weekend and paid £90 for a chinese meal for 2 I would like to think anyone from out of town would be amazed how good the value is in this part of Leeds.

I don't like to write a bad review, which is why I'm not going to. All I am going to say it that it is nothing more than a bog standard chinese. Location isn't great, food is no different than you'd get in an average chinese restaurant and the price is roughly what you'd expect to pay in an average chinese restaurant. I've been here a lot as it is close to where I live, I always try something new and have yet to be wowwed by anything I've ordered. By the same token I've never had anything that I thought was particularly poor. The reason I leave this review is that it is currently ranked very highly in Leeds' best restaurants and if people were to visit Leeds not knowing where to go, and came here based on a Trip Advisor recommendation, they'd leave with a very dim opinion of what Leeds has to offer. If you want to try the best Chinese in Leeds try the Red Chilli.

We've been to this resaurant several times now and never been disapointed.From the outside it doesn't look much, but don't be fooled.We've always had a friendly welcome, the food is always good with reasonable potion sizes. As a take away it's a little pricey but worth it.

I went there with my friend on a Sunday night and it just so happens that De Fresh had a special dinner for Halloween.We ordered the special dinner for two and was greeted by some lovely smiles. The combination starter was absolutely amazing and not at all greasy. For the main we had sweet and sour chicken and fillet steak with Cantonese sauce. The sauces were lovely and sweet while the meat tender and not chewyThe overall experience was great and I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone who is looking for a good Chinese.

I have eaten at this Chinese Restaurant on many occasions and it truly deserves a recommendation here.The choice is excellent and the food is always fresh with the kitchen on view to the customers. The staff are friendly and courteous, which adds to the ambience of the visit.Don't be put off by the out of town location as a restaurant like De Fresh is always worth seeking out for friendliness and good value.

We have just visited the defresh for lunch , my parents come often and really love the food . The lunch time menu is a set 2 course meal for £6.95 and the choice and the food excellent. We had starters of sweetcorn soup and spring rolls and both were very good . For main we had the chicken curry an excellent and tasty dish , beef in black bean was equally good my parents had a Thai dish with noodles which they also said was excellent and one of their favourites and what they have off the lunchtime menu a lot. You can choose off the main menu but with the choice on the lunchtime menu I don't think you need to, extremely good value for money , tasty food and good service What more do you want ? Will definately be returning

The atmosphere is as cosy as home, clean and tidy. Tables setting is nicely arrange which is spacious. Warm welcoming and excellent services provided by all the staff which friendly and polite in all manners. Concept of open kitchen provides the scenery of live cooking by the chef. Taste, appearence and quality of the foods are up to the standard and carefully prepared. Highly recommend the Salt and Pepper Squid, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Shredded Duck Soup, Fillet Steak Cantonese Style and much much more. Variety of wines, alcohols and drinks are served at the bar. Don't miss out trying a coffee or a Malaysia style Teh Tarik, its the best. The charges are reasonable. Of course will come back for more.

I have tried at least 4 others Chinese restaurant in Leeds and they were all rather average. Just when I nearly gave up on the idea , I gave DE Fresh a tried since a lot of my friends recommended. It was outstanding !! I've been twice now and have not been disappointed. In fact the food quality has been first class. Everything is very fresh, service is brilliant and the price is reasonable. Well worth a visit.

De Fresh doesn't look great from the outside and being on a retail park you don't expect much, but wow the food is great.The best salt & pepper squid we've had, a great sizzling cod dish and the kids devoured all of the crispy duck (like the way they ask how many pancakes you'd like - there are never enough!).Normally eat Chinese at Red Chilli or Maxis, now we'll be heading out to the North of Leeds more often.
