It was one of the best Persian restaurants that I have ever gone to in the UK. Their food besides the hot bread were so delicious and the staff were so kind. I highly recommend it One of the best Iranian restaurants with delicious Iranian food and, of course, breads that are hot and fresh out of the oven, double the taste of the food. Be sure to go and experience it.

Amazing Persian food, the saffron rice and naan are so light and delicious, to go with home cooked kebabs and stews. The slow cooked lamb stew is a favourite, but lots of lovely dishes to choose from. The family owners are always friendly and very welcoming. A good range of soft drinks and teas, but you can also BYOB. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent takeaway experience from this Persian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and packaged with care. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh and crisp. Every element was cooked to perfection and retained its quality even as a takeaway meal. The attention to detail in both the preparation and presentation truly stood out. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic Persian dining experience, even from the comfort of your home! This is the best food that has ever touched my lips. The lamb and chicken is absolutely divine and tender too. Excellent service and food is very fresh. The salad is also very unique and nice along with their baklava and tea.

This unassuming place serves some of the best dishes. Ghorme Sabzi is a must try , truly amazing dish. You should also try the mirza ghasemi and the wonderful special tea.

Very friendly and intimate treatment of the staff. the management has changed new management are very polite and friendly, fresh food with good price. We will definitely come back .

Top notch Persian kebab. Also had some boneless chicken on a skewer which wasn't dry- they know what they're doing here. Also got some soup for starter and aubergine dip was good too. A touch on the pricey side but you get what you pay for

Went for lunch for a friend's birthday. Food was excellent service very good and the place was very clean. Well worth a visit. They even brought out a piece of chocolate cake with a candle and played happy birthday 🎂

Outstanding experience. The food quality is fresh, brilliant, authentic and exemplary. The menu is very well put together where there are variety of Persian dishes: starters, main, desserts and drinks. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. The dining area and is very clean and well maintained. We have visited in person and also ordered online, the food quality is very consistent. Highly recommend to visit.

Absolutely divine! My teenage son's favourite place which is a relief as portions are huge and he can put it away! Particularly recommend the mixed platter, gorgeous tea for after. Extremely well priced too.

First time there to celebrate birthday with family....food was amazing, starters and mains...loved the fresh flatbreads too...service was exceptional from all the staff members and nothing was too much trouble...Will definitely recommend this local restaurant.

Really tasty food, excellent value for money and friendly service. Would have liked to have seen more variety on the menu as at least 50% is lamb (and we don't eat lamb, preferring veggie-based dishes over anything).

Went there this evening. Food is delicious, nourishing and really comforting with generous portions. Great selection of veggie options too. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the trip out of town if you’re not local.

I ordered Chips and Kebab Koubideh via Uber eats. The order took 1:30 minutes to arrive. The order wasn’t the one I asked for, I received Makhsoos Kebab. I didn’t like it because it wasn’t juicy. I liked the rice and the chips.

Absolutely loved every minute of our visit the staff was so welcoming and went above and beyond, food was mouthwatering and portion sizes was fantastic. Can’t wait to visit again and bring my family too will definitely be spreading the word for this restaurant thank you again

Very tasty food and excellent service .. I can confidently say the mixed grill we tried in here is the best in leeds . Generous portions and lamb , kebab , steak and chicken shish were all very fresh and delicious . We had also “Doogh” as a drink which is a special sour version of Ayran !! Starters were very rich in taste as well. Staff are friendly ..👍 We also had Darvish tea for free . Would highly recommend and will visit again ! 😊

The food was by steps less than normal as well as the price is too high for the quality. We had Sultani kebab which was not that tasty in total. The paklava was hard to eat as it was difficult to cut or chew. Finally , there was no card payment option & this was only informed at the time of payment. No information is there on this matter. I would suggest other options before going to this one.

Food is not so good; took 35+ mins to serve the food and the hardest thing was to find out at the bill payment stage that they don’t accept card payments. Overall a really bad experience.

I’ve been wanting to try Persian food for a while and let me tell you that it didn’t disappoint, the food was amazing, the atmosphere really good and the staff was super nice. Food wise the portions are nice sizes, if you buy a starter and a main you’ll spend something like 16/17 pounds and you’re definitely feel full, and in terms of flavours let me tell you that you’ll feel like you’re having a party inside your mouth, wow I’m so impressed with the quality and all the tangy and rich flavours of their food, it’s a place that I’m definitely coming back.

We always go there to eat as the food is very healthy and budget friendly x

6th visit to this restaurant. Can't wait for the 7th. Easy parking off Rd at the front. Small but cosy. Clean and traditionally decorated. Staff very friendly. Open kitchen. Toilet is clean . My wife is Persian and her food is superb. So is this restaurants food. Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that they only accept cash. Not a massive inconvenience as there's a cash machine located 30 seconds away. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic and well presented. Reasonably priced. Unfortunately we were the only diners on that particular Saturday night, which we didn't mind because the service was marvellous but atmosphere was lacking. We will continue to come though - the food is very very good.

Got there at 8.30pm, had to leave by 9pm. Didn't get to enjoy the restaurant as much but the food was still soooo delicious. Been going here for years and it just keeps getting better and better. Staff are always so lovely and they got us out within our time frame, felt bad for putting on that demand. Had leftovers today and I didn't want the meal to end. Can't wait to go back with my family again. So many good memories here :( happy sad tears. Thanks you x

We just got a takeaway, which we had to collect. But wow it was so worth the journey. We ordered a mixed grill for 3 people which came with a lot of sides and extras, including rice, salad, sauces, grilled tomatoes etc. The meats were all absolutely delicious, a really good selection and VERY generous portion. Everything was perfectly flavoured and it was not overly salted or greasy, so it felt like a fresh and healthy meal. I would definitely order from there again and I’d like to try eating in next time. Very happy with my order.

We went as a family to enjoy some Persian food, unfortunately it did not meet the standards and reviews portrayed. The starters were very tiny portions and so bland, really didn’t taste nice. The main we ordered was meat kebab which was soo dry and thin. We were so disappointed with the quality of the food as it tasted nothing like Iranian food.

My son and I recently had the most amazing Persian food at Darvish Restaurant. From the friendly staff to the flavorful dishes like lamb shank, chicken, Zereshk Polu, and Barg Kebab, everything exceeded our expectations. The warm atmosphere and authentic flavors made it a truly memorable dining experience. We highly recommend Darvish Restaurant to all food lovers!

best Persian restaurant in town!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience for Persian food. I have tried several Persian restaurants before, this was the worst. I got mixed grill, the meat was not good at all, but the chicken and rice is a little bit better. There are two or three employees only, services were so poor. I am sorry to say that but I would never recommend it.

Amazing, authentic dishes. The chello morgh with barberry rice is outstanding as is the crispy seabass with rice. Portions are very generous. Everything is prepared to a high standard and the cleanliness is second to none. They do an incredible dessert called falloodeh (ice cream, sugary icy vermicelli and pomegranate molasses). I've been coming here for years and I know what I'm talking about!

Very expensive. Very small quantities for the price charged. The guy cheats by not taking cards. And tells you last minute we don’t take cards. Doesn’t say he has option of online transfer. He told us there was an atm machine next doors to withdraw and pay. Nice tax saving tactic !

My favorite restaurant. The food is incredible, and all the staff really nice. This is always my first choice when I want to go out, and I live in Huddersfield. Truly a gem in a hidden place.

Fantastic food. Everything is authentic. Highly recommend if you are looking for Iranian food. They cooked some of the best lamb and Currys I've ever had, which is saying something because I've had lots of lamb and curry throughout my life.

Kids were very excited to come and see what this Persian place is about. They enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm not so sure, I did try everything, kobeda was nice and juicy though ordered it twice just like any other Persian kebab.. Wanted to love it just didn't excite as much, neither did it fill me up.

Great food here at Darvish! Chicken Bhuna and naan was excellent. However the highlight was how attentive the staff were with Sanai being an excellent host! Lovely relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a great meal!

I may have reviewed this place years ago, we keep going back. BYOB is a big bonus, but the main attraction is the delicious food and friendly staff.

Authentic, delicious persian food, excellent atmosphere and good value.

We were a group of 4 and enjoyed a joyous meal together at Darvish restaurant, the kebabs cooked to perfection and the saffron rice was immaculate. To top everything off the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food served.

Food was very tasty Portion sizes were decent They dress the salad with this pinkish sauce, very tasty. Meat was well cooked and soft. A very homely feeling and a warm ambience. We had pistachio baklava and persian tea for desert. Highly recommended. Oh, and the naan breads were very soft and crispy.

An wonderful evening in a lovely setting. The food was a subtle blend of spices and flavours to die for. I will be going there regularly from now on and recommend whole heartedly.

Another great restaurant you could quite easily pass by without noticing. The location is slightly concealed as it is sat back from the main road. The restaurant itself felt cosy and homely, very simple decor. One of the benefits of it being away from the main road was, it was quiet (no noise from traffic) The staff are friendly and very helpful, allowing you the time required to browse the menu without constantly asking if you are ready to order. We visited as a group of four and all ordered a variety of foods from the menu. There were no complaints about the food. The food was cooked fresh and tasted really nice, great portions and real nice flavours. The desserts ordered were delicious and the teas were also fantastic . I highly recommend the "special darvish tea" Overall, this was a great find and I would definitely recommend this place. The only negative was, the pricing seemed a little expensive so, it wouldn't be a place I'd visit regularly but, I'd definitely visit again

The food was the best level that we could imagine. Although it took a bit longer for the food to be prepared but everything was great. We Will definitely be there the next time we are in Leeds

Darvish is a hidden gem! Here you will experience amazing flavours from Persia. Try the Merza Ghesemi with bread to start...and pretty much any main! The service is excellent too...friendly and warm welcome.

We wanted to order something different and after seing the reviews and ratings for Darvish decided to order. We were stunned by the amount of food we got and really enjoyed how fresh it was. It was a mixed kebab meal for two but their was enough for 3 of us. Lots of nice chunky meat and it was all nicely wrapped and packaged. It was all still hot and you could tell its all freshly cooked not re heated. We would order it atleast once a week or more.. can't wait to try other dishes off the menue. .
