Awful vindaloo or should I say vindasoup

My family and I visited here for dinner one night on our holiday. The food was outstanding and we love visiting Indian restaurants. The owners are lovely and a pleasure to meet. We loved the food so much we had to come back the next night to sample some more of the menu. Strongly recommend the samosas, Dhansak and Rogan Josh.

We visited after going to the cinema in Wareham. What a lovely meal we had the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble and The food was really good The owner and chef came out and chatted to us what a lovely family . We will definitely be going back.

Best Indian takeaway , recently moved to area .

Made a large order for a takeaway (13 people). Was informed of the waiting time which was very reasonable considering the amount of food, upon arriving I was greeted by very friendly staff who offered to help take it to my car. The food was still piping hot when we served it and absolutely lovely, all dishes were perfectly cooked with great flavours. We will definitely be back!

Came here for a date night and was not disappointed. Food was absolutely gorgeous, the waitress was lovely and it was a very nice restaurant. Will definitely come back here if we ever come back to Dorset, thank you!

An excellent meal, again, and a warm welcome. I had poppadoms and pickles as a starter, followed by Prawn Pasanda and mushroom rice. All was delicious, it never disappoints.

We went there last week and had the best Indian food after a long time. We ordered biriyani and mixed tandoori which both had the right amount of spices and tasted so nice. And the customer service was great as well even though the place was busy. A must try place.

I have visited this place twice. The food is really good and authentic. They customise according to the spice level you want. The owner family is lovely and they leave no stone unturned to provide the service. Good to visit with family and friends. Without doubt the best Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi I've ever had! Beautifully marinated, tender chicken and the perfect level of spice with plenty of fresh, green chillies. My partner was totally made up with her Korma too! Absolutely top quality, authentic Bangladeshi food and friendly service - the order was made up quickly and was still nice and hot when we got it home. Super impressed and very happy to have discovered this little local gem. I will certainly be back to try out more of the delicacies on the menu! Everything was exceptional. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, we never actually made it to this restaurant. I tried to book for a small party of seven people including one child and requested a high-chair. The lady I spoke to on the phone said they didn't have high-chairs. At a time when many catering businesses & restaurants are finding it difficult to survive in the current economic climate, I was surprised that they couldn't accommodate us. Perhaps they're not keen on children. Maybe they just don't like money! Whatever the reason, they missed out on business. I hope they review their policy. If they do, I'll try & book again in the future. I booked the Monsoon in Wareham instead & they were able to accommodate us with a high-chair.

Great food and service as we were the only people there. Shame about the restaurant looking tired, dated and ugly toilets . Great value.

The food, as always, is exceptional... The meal was even adapted to cater for our tastes. The father and daughters give a friendly and warm welcome. I just wish that my dad was still around, as he loved the food at Daruchini. Looking forward to our next visit...

I have tried their Chicken Biryani and Tandoori chicken, it was one of the best Tandoori I have tasted from the UK. Biriyani was in North Indian style, I'm from the south part and I usually didn't like North Indian Biriyani, but this one was very good. A must try restuarant in Wareham.

Great friendly service, got the tandoori mix, but the chicken tikka was very dry the lamb was tough as old boot's,bit disappointing, nice atmosphere.

Coming from the Luton area we have an array of top notch Indian eateries to choose from. So often we find we’re disappointed when eating Indian food elsewhere in the UK. But this place is superb, the food was sooo good. One of the best Chicken Baltis I’ve had, everything was hot, tasty and not in the slightest bit greasy. Good portion sizes too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious curry!! From the start, the poppadoms were fresh and crisp, there were accompanied by an amazing lime chutney, mango chutney and onion salad. The mains were rich and flavoursome, I had the balti, it didn't disappoint. I would definitely recommend eating here. 10 out of 10.

As the food hit my lips and ran down my taste buds my soul uplifted and left my body it was the best Indian curry I have ever had. The warmth of the kashmiri set a fire inside my stomach that had not seen light for eons. The rice hit a spot not touched by the hand of grace for many years. The popodoms crisp like a fresh winter morning on a mist submerged mountain. The sides where rich like a emporer from long ago bedazzled in gold. After I had finished my lips where flavoured from the excellent meal seconds ago. 9/10

Absolutely loved the food and Ambience here. Tried their Chef's special - Chicken Achori with Tandoori Naan. Chicken Biryani was perfectly cooked too. They served free pappodams and dips. The staff is really polite and friendly. The father-daughter duo runs the show!!! Will definitely visit again for sure.

Loved the ambiance and excellent service provided by the team. Devoured the delicious Jalfrezi, tikka masala, vegetable pilaf rice and mix shashlik in minutes. We were given complimentary papadum and chutney as well. Definitely a good experience!!

Have been here countless of times with my boyfriend for date night. Staff are amazing especially the owner who always comes down to say hello and his daughter. They know my partner by name as he comes with his work lot. Food is exceptional and always leave feeling full and well fed. Free poppadoms and dips. As well as fresh hot towels and chocolates after. Quick service and always service with a smile. Could not recommend this place more. Hats off to the staff.

Das Ambiente war nicht sehr einladend, aber der Wunsch nach indischem Essen war größer. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wir bestellten zwei vegetarische Beilagen (Aloo Gobi & Sag Paneer) als Starter. Als Hauptspeise Curries in verschiedenen Geschmacks- und Schärfestufen. Bei Vindaloo kam dann der Hinweis, dass dies doch sehr scharf sei. Also lieber eine Stufe weniger - Madras. Wir dachten in England wäre das doch etwas schärfer. War es dann wohl doch nicht. Als wir das dann anmerkten, gab es im Nachhinein dann doch das „Upgrade“. Damit waren dann alle vollständig zufrieden. Also Essen sehr gut und Service sehr gut. Einzigst bei den Getränken gibt es Abzüge – kein Mango Lassi!

Takeaway dhansak, shashlik, saag aloo and rice. Adequate shashlik, odd dhansak that seemed to contain no lentils and was very thin. Greasy saag aloo. Rice was fine.

Chicken Masala - Korma - Mango all in a cocos gloop with far to much suggar. Sorry, but can not recommend this.

Terrible food and if you are silly enough to order a takeaway then don`t leave your phone number because they will send you spam text for YEARS and will not remove your number from their "system" even when ask politely & then you tell them how disgusting their food is

Foul smelly food swimming in grease and weak tasteless sauces. Beware of leaving your mobile number as you will forever getting text messages from them desperate to get you to return...No Chance, Id rather starve

This has to be the worse food I have ever had the misfortune to order. Runny watery sauces and grease everywhere...Tried it on two occasions in case it was a "one off" but its truly awful and they simply did not care when I brought this to their attention

On holiday we fancied a curry. Wareham is a small town with one curry restaurant so it was our only choice. I read mixed reviews re this place so we went with an open mind. Staff very friendly. We were seated and served drinks. We had popadums & pickle tray which was lovely. The mains though, without exception , when they arrived, were very greasy, (ghee), floating on top. I had lamb biriyani. The lamb was lean, but the cubes of meat were hard, almost as if it was pre-cooked meat chopped up afterwards. The whole thing, meat and rice was very oily, like it was stir-fried together to heat the whole thing up. Altogether, all the dishes we ordered, were very disappointing. Would not return.

Really enjoyed the food and great service and value here... a little dated inside but well worth a visit ,recommended, we shall definately return .

We went to the restaurant after the Thai food down the street was overbooked. It looked closed at first but we tried our luck - and were not disappointed. The food is very authentic: papadum with mint joghurt, very good naan, rice and various curries. My kids were happy to be allowed to eat with their fingers (and naan ;) ) Service is very good - friendly and forthcoming. Will come again!

After using Daruchini on our last visit to Wareham we were very disappointed this time. Having ordered a meal for collection, by phone from the menu we were presented with the bill. The price for a mixed grill is clearly £13.95 on the menu. We had been charged £15.95. The reason given for this when challenged was it included a naan and salad and sauce. The menu stated it came with these anyway. We were further told if we'd checked the website the correct price was on there. When I asked about the 10% discount for collection, clearly stated on the front of the menu, we were told that was no longer available and hadn't been for about 3 years. We had 10% collection discount last time! Again, we were told if we'd ordered online we could have had a discount. So the meal ended up costing about £8 more than as per the current menu would have you believe. The food was tasty and portion size ok except the mixed grill which was very disappointing, consisting of a chicken wing, kofte and a few bits of chicken tikka. We were offered a poppadom each as recompense. I would rather have had the price as advertised and the 10% discount as clearly offered in the current menu.

First time ordering had lamb madras, lamb pathia and 3 keema naan collection order. Ordered online it said if made order up to another pound I would get free item so I ordered an onion salad. This was none existant. Both curries were exactly the same in colour and taste. In my view they were the most flavourless curries I've tasted very poor quality and small portion. Would not say this was authentic Indian food. The keema naans were overcooked and small. Not even given free dip or poppadoms. This place needs to close down scam calling this Indian food. Avoid.

The food is quite delicious. I love the curry and naan. The chickens in the curry are very soft. And the service is also really good. After dinner, they let me stay in the restaurant to wait for my train. Pretty nice and help me a lot. Have a really great time there. I hope I can come here again.

This restaurant doesn’t even deserve a star, yesterday we came to visit Durdle door. We thought of having some good indian food, when we had googled, it was showing you guys had the dine in. That’s the reason we drove from there to your restaurant. Colleagues said, they were understaffed so won’t be able to dine in service. That too a Saturday? How come a restaurant becomes understaffed ? We would like to know the actual reason behind this please?

Very poor service and staff does not even care about the customers time. Please don’t include this restaurant in your plans. The management needs to look in to this and it is so sad we had this experience from an Indian restaurant. Disappointing and hope they will improve.

We were recommended this restaurant as a family member often orders a takeaway from here. What stood out for us was the excellent service and warm welcome we were given. We needed help with our choice of food and the staff were really helpful explaining ingredients levels of heat etc. All our party were very happy with their tasty and enjoyable choices and would definitely eat here again.

Not a finest Indian restaurant as opposed to what they say. Curry are too sweet, not aromatic. No soft drink option but diet coke neither Raci. Cooking takes so long unless you have pre booked. Staffs were so kind though.

Have never been to this place before so asked some local people walking past,they said it was good so we went in first impression it looked cheap and very dirty anyway running out of options stayed after a few mouthfuls found a black six inch hair in my curry after that we stopped eating and left my strong advice is AVOID at all costs it's a filthy dump!!!!🫣 Thank you for your response email we did show the server the long black hair and she told us it was the cooks hair,perhaps you should insist on hair nets and if there wasn’t a hair why did she offer a free drink,regardless the place is not clean and our table was a old piece of chip board and very rocky .Perhaps the food hygiene people should inspect your establishment.

We were on holiday and booked very last minute after a quick trip advisor search of the local area. We were seated straight away and ordered drinks and popadoms while we looked at the menu. We ordered a range of food from chicken tikka through to chicken naga, nan beads, rice, sag aloo etc: each and every dish had the wow factor. This is some of the best Indian food We’ve ever had. Great service, amazing food, decent price in this strange world we live in where everything is going up on a daily basis. My only negative was the paper through away table cloths over the top of nice linen ones. This made the restaurant feel a bit cheap which does not reflect the food and great service. We will definitely be back next time we are in Wareham. Recommend this place to everyone.

The chap I’m assuming is the owner was very welcoming and a smile that was infectious. He got in the kitchen to make the food himself just how I wanted it with the perfect amount of spice. I said I would review the food if it was good and here I am.

Not amazing! Biryani sauce very bland and watery. This was by far the worst curry I have ever had. We didn’t eat the vegetable curry. The wait for a take away was around an hour even though I was told 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t busy. 3 of us had different Biriyani’s all with the same terrible vegetable curry sauce. We won’t return and I certainly advise not to visit if you love a good curry.

Me and a few mates came here a couple of weeks ago for a meal. Food was outstanding , just enough, not too much just the prefect adult Portion. The staff were friendly very welcoming and couldn’t have done enough to make our visit an enjoyable one! We enjoyed it so much we’ve booked to go back 😀 Thanks and see you again soon.

Came here over 2 years ago great food. We are back in this area and decided to try it again. Absolutely fabulous great service and excellent food nothing is to much trouble. Nicest Madras and Biriani I ever had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back again.
