Dartmouth House is the perfect venue for any event! We recently hired the venue for a wedding, it's a beautiful historical building with outdoor space and in an excellent location! The team at Dartmouth are amazing, special thanks to Charlotte & Camilla, from start to finish they went above and beyond, they were incredibly helpful and attentive and an absolute joy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate in booking Dartmouth House for future events.

We recently had our wedding at Dartmouth House, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The communication throughout the planning process was excellent. Camilla, Roman, and Melinda were all attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Camilla in particular worked closely with us to ensure every detail was exactly as we envisioned it, and her dedication truly showed. The venue itself is stunning, and even when we were faced with some unexpected rain, the team adapted seamlessly, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. The flexibility they showed, especially in allowing us to do a rehearsal beforehand, was greatly appreciated. The catering was also top-notch, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. There was a small misstep with truffle being served on the main dish, which we had requested not to have, but it was such a minor issue that it didn’t affect our overall experience in the slightest. A huge thank you to Camilla, Roman, Melinda, and the entire Dartmouth House team for making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more wonderful team to work with. Highly recommended!

A stunning venue with an incredibly attentive team. We were lucky enough to work at Dartmouth House for a recent wedding, and were blown away both by the venue and the incredible staff. From the moment we walked in we felt incredibly welcome, cared for and appreciated. Food was absolutely delicious, and the whole team were so friendly and helpful throughout the day.

Fabulous venue for The White Company Christmas party. It looks stunning from the outside and doesn't disappoint once through the grand entrance. The welcome was warm, and the staff were very friendly and attentive all evening. Two opulent staircases led us up to the first floor, where we partied until late evening. The bar staff were kept busy by our thirsty workforce whilst other staff kept us fed with a selection of food throughout the evening. Music played later on in another large room until it was finally time for us to claim our coats and head home. It's a fantastic venue for any special event. I look forward to going again next year.

I cannot sing enough praises about Dartmouth House and the team. I can’t believe what an incredible stroke of luck it was that an outcome of all the hours spent searching for a venue was the most lovely, memorable summer wedding we could have asked for. A special recognition needs to go to our coordinator Camilla Criswell. Our original coordinator left quite abruptly after we signed our contract, to no fault of the venue’s, and much to our dismay as a couple new to wedding planning in general. From the moment Camilla stepped in however, she took the time to understand us as a couple and our ideas for the wedding day, catch up on anything that had been discussed with our previous coordinator, and address any gaps that were the result of switching coordinators. Camilla was always extremely responsive on email, patient and meticulous with details. She took the time to give us unbiased opinions and suggestions, and very much gave us the sense all the way through our interactions that everything was under control which, for a couple getting married for the first time, is much needed. Her wealth of experience was extremely clear from our interactions as at no point did we feel like ‘just another couple’ getting married at Dartmouth House. The food at Dartmouth house is also nothing short of fantastic. The taste and presentation were equally matched in impressiveness. We were able to attend a tasting beforehand which in itself is an experience, and a very nice way for us as a couple to experience a part of the wedding that would fly by on the day. You would also not expect much from house wines typically, but the Dartmouth House house wine is lovely. To the point that we had tried other wines that could have been paired with the food and still preferred the house wine. Before our wedding we had visited Dartmouth house a few different times, that by the time the wedding rolled around, we felt a familiarity with it and all the lovely people who make up one of the most professional teams I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in action at any wedding. On the day of the wedding, Camilla and her colleague Roman took care of everything, needing minimal guidance, with not a single thing going wrong by the end of the day. The wider team at Dartmouth house is warm, ever present and there is a real sense of collaboration amongst everyone. The venue on the day of our wedding looked gorgeous and we had endless comments from our guests about it. Our suppliers also commented on how wonderful the team were to work with. All in all, I would strongly encourage every couple to consider Dartmouth House as their wedding venue. The team go above and beyond to make your day special, the location of the venue is so convenient for guests, and the venue and food together are spectacular. There was nowhere else we would have chosen anyway as from the moment we happened across it we knew it was perfect for us. However now on reflection there is nowhere else we can think of that is better for a wedding in general. Thank you to the team at Dartmouth House!!

Just because it’s a great place to eat and drink

WERDJS have had the pleasure to DJ at 3 weddings this year at Dartmouth house. Every event has been an major success. The staff team are incredible. We have used 2 different set ups so far and both have been ideal for the function room.

A new members club based in the heart of Mayfair. Great bar with extensive wine and cocktail menu, and excellent food. Varied events programme which offers a mix of educational and entertaining options. Very affordable and accessible compared to some of the neighbours.

My husband and I have picked the Dartmouth House for our wedding, and it was the best day of our lives. The whole Dartmouth House team was a pleasure to work with. Everything was perfectly organised, and they thought of every small detail. The food was very delicious, and of course the venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful. I still cannot stop thinking about the gorgeous staircase, long drawing room and courtyard. All of our guests have told us throughout the whole day how much they were in love with the venue. The team has perfectly prepared each room, and announced our entrance before entering each area. This made the experience even more magical. We will forever remember this day and would like to thank the incredible Dartmouth House Team.

And the gardens are simply stunning, with manicured lawns, blooming flowers, and charming walkways that make for amazing photo and video opportunities. Wonderful location and building.

Very responsible and flexible team, on the day they worked extremely hard to get last minute changes done and accommodate our needs. Only negative feedback is that when we contracted the venue we were assured, and shown images, of Darmouth House fully decorated for Christmas. This wasn't the case and it was disappointing. There was only ONE Christmas tree in the entire house and we had to ration other decorations. Finally, the starters were very small, which was also unexpected, and guests did leave hungry. But the staff lovely and gave great service.

Beautiful old country house type venue in the heart of London. Would recommend for functions or award ceremonies.

Dartmouth House was a perfect choice for our wedding. Not only was it absolutely stunning, but the people were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were incredible with all of our COVID delays - so flexible and understanding. Despite much hardship as we had to move our date several times from 2020, they stuck with us along the way. The Dartmouth House team was really easy to work with. I did not have a wedding planner, so having so much in-house was extremely helpful for me. They were also very accommodating for any site visits or walk-throughs I needed to do with our suppliers. They brought a sense of calm and confidence throughout the planning and execution. Much needed for a bride who is stressed about a lot of things! Thank you Dartmouth House!

Always an amazing time at Dartmouth House for ESU events!

A truly beautiful building with a very interesting history. It was redesigned at the end of the nineteenth century great interior design features well deserving of its Grade II Listed Building status.

Hannah and the team at Dartmouth House made planning the event so easy. They were super responsive to calls, emails and even last minute visits and had they had every detail covered.

We had a wedding at Dartmouth house recently and I can’t recommend this place if you have any disabled guests. There is basically no wheelchair accessible toilet. You will have to go to the neighbouring hotel into the hotel service lift and through the kitchen to the gent toilets which were found not to be accessible for disabled people. You will end in the ladies staff toilets to be then manhandled into the toilet and out again. Very concerning if there would be a fire as the wedding reception is on the first floor. There are no health and safety regulations and fire regulations for wheelchair users. It might be all too late by the time the fire brigade arrives. Very disappointed as it has spoiled the whole wedding experience.

My wife and I held our belated big wedding celebration at Dartmouth House in December 2021 (as, due to Covid we were only allowed about 20 guests when we got married in August 2021) and it was absolutely perfect! It's a truly stunning venue and all of the guests were very impressed. Hannah (the wedding coordinator) and the rest of the team at Dartmouth House were incredibly helpful and everything ran super smoothly on the day. Also, the wine and food were excellent and the standard of service was exceptionally high. Overall, we would really recommend Dartmouth House to anyone that is looking for a wedding venue!

This is a fantastic events venue with beautiful rooms, great staff and customer service, and absolutely delicious food with excellent options for vegans and vegetarians too.

Absolutely brilliant! Venue is beautiful and everyone pulled out the stops and we managed to organise (4th attempt) a stunning wedding. The food was great, staff a delight to work with and I really couldn’t fault anything. Biggest thank you to everyone.

We just had an event launch at Dartmouth House of How To Spend It Arabic in partnership with the FT's How To Spend It. I must recommend both the location and it's staff for their most amazing hospitality. Both Hannah and Victoria who are in charge of their Events were superbly helpful and always went the extra half mile in being so accommodating and making every effort to help. Thank you to all the support staff on the night as well who were all so excellent.

Dartmouth House es muy elegante, ya sea para eventos o para visitas personales. Pero se limita a los miembros de la Unión de habla inglesa y sus invitados. Pequeño bar agradable junto a la entrada. La ESU ahora utiliza un buen servicio de catering. El almuerzo es excelente, y su costo es modesto. Lo mismo con el té de la tarde. Selección limitada de platos para el almuerzo, pero al menos todos están recién hechos. El té ofrece una gran selección de sándwiches y pasteles. También hay un salón cómodo de buen tamaño, donde uno puede establecerse y descansar mientras está en la ciudad o leer un periódico o revistas. Pero no hablar o solo susurros para no molestar a los demás. Si uno es miembro de la ESU, hay un programa de oradores y eventos (por ejemplo, debates).

Acabo de regresar a casa de mis hijas en Dartmouth House recomendaría este lugar para una boda. El día fue maravilloso, el personal era extremadamente servicial, en general, una madre muy feliz de la novia.

We had our wedding at Dartmouth House in Sept 2017 and the day was absolutely perfect. Our wedding coordinator Rebecca worked hard to make sure the day ran smoothly and it couldn't have gone any better! The venue itself is stunning (especially the beautiful staircase) and the catering staff were very professional and accommodating. We would definitely recommend Dartmouth House to any couples looking to book a classy wedding. Thank you.

Was lucky enough to be invited for a wedding at this amazing venue in the heart of Mayfair. Everything was fabulous - apart from the food. Starter was uncooked puff pastry with a few vegetables sitting on it and the main curse was inedible lamb, tough to cut, impossible to chew and mostly gristle. The dessert! was some kind of strawberry and basil mousse, which was ok but was too small and light to make any difference. Good job there were fish finger sandwiches and sausage later! Staff and service couldn't be faulted. Amazing venue - such a shame about the food.

I have been a member of the English Speaking Union, whose headquarters are Dartmouth House in Mayfair, for over two years. The recent change of caterer has led to an immediate huge improvement in the food and service in the restaurant and bar and I encourage other members to book their table soon!

I'm getting married here next summer so have visited on several occasions to plan the wedding. The staff are super attentive, especially Rosie. The building is stunning and I get to have the whole house exclusively as my wedding is at the weekend! The grand staircase and courtyard are my favourite features. For such a stunning location in the heart of Mayfair, it really is amazing value! I just can't wait to get married here!

I was invited to a group meal at this restaurant by a member of the ESU, to whom the building belongs. Surrounded by sumptuous decoration, great food and friendly, efficient staff, I would definitely visit again. The food is of a very high standard, the wine is great, and what's more the price really does not reflect what you receive. I will admit to being slightly apprehensive about the cost, but a 3 course menu was just over £22.00! Add the wine and you have a great meal for a very good price, in a venue you wouldn't expect.

We held a wedding celebration party for 80 guests here. The whole property is beautiful (it is the English-Speaking Union), which wonderfully decorated rooms and plenty of history adorning the walls. The Spring / Summer 2013 menu which we selected from was very enticing, and the food was fresh and delicious with very reasonable portion size (according to all our guests I spoke to). The service was fantastic, with all guests at each table served at exactly the same time, and all tables served in a very short period of time. I really couldn't fault the place.

Food under the guidance of Pru Leith, staff who really care, set in Mayfair but reasonably priced, courtyard for al fresco dining in the summer and a menu that is innovative - a comprehensive and reasonable wine list. What is there not to like and why would you not return again and again.
