Darren and Sarah’s new kitchen, Thorney in Peterborough

Diabolical. El pan tostado cuando finalmente llegó era en realidad bastante agradable, aunque se habían quedado sin pan de granero. Pero tuvimos que esperar siglos. El té llegó muy rápido, pero habíamos terminado para cuando llegó la comida. El lugar no estaba muy limpio, el mantel necesitaba una toallita y los menús estaban sucios. No voy a volver.

With a second attempt on the day - we managed to get a table for 2. First time we called half an hour before we wanted to try this restaurant, with no surprise now it was all fully booked. Half year later we called early morning and there was a free table. Heard rumours how good and how tasty the food is at Cherry Tree. And I can’t recommend this places enough. The service was amazing - you walk in a little waiting area, they offer you a drink then introduce you to the menu and then you order. Once your drink is finished they take you to your table and food comes quite quickly. They come and check if you’re happy with everything and you don’t have to wait between courses, pretty much as soon as you are finished they come and offer you your next meal. We took our time and enjoyed every second of it and we spent nearly 2 hours in this lovely restaurant. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Definitely coming back! Thank you team Cherry Tree 🙏

It's a nice pub & lots of outdoor space, with coffee options & a proper coffee machine, service is quick and theres plenty of seating Very dog friendly Unfortunately there are no high chairs available despite advertising as child friendly, said there's baby change but theres no changing table They also don't serve pimms or guinness which seems like a bit of a miss roast dinner was nice

We waited over an hour for food and then when it came some meals were so over cooked it was almost impossible to eat and other meals were arriving 30 mins after other peoples and some people waited an hour for their desert and food was also coming up cold and then 30 mins later the hot chips appeared. Attitude of staff was also very poor. It is so disappointing because we used to enjoy going here but now food and service are well below standard. I appreciate that it can be difficult with large groups but if you have ineffective equipment t you need to take certain items off the menu so that customers are not frustrated and disappointed. In response to below: We have attended this pub for years and used to enjoy the meals and the service and atmosphere but sadly this is no longer the same. And in response to the comment no one complained about their food at the time I DID. I said the chips were very cold and asked for them to be replaced I had a very hostile response and was told they would be. Then two minutes later I was told that they were now in the que to be done and they finally came up 30 minutes after my fish had been eat. But I must admit they were lovely and hot that time. Also we have never been asked to pre order which would be easy to do. Anyway I hope the group do get a better service next time they go and I will ask them if they wish to go again to pre-order

Couldn't of enjoyed my stay anymore then I did. The hotel manager akhmed was such a lovely man who was more then helpful an enjoyable company. If the restaurant had been opened would of been perfect
