My daughter found this little Indian resteraunt on our doorstep, lovely food all very fresh, great service and it's a bring your own wine or drinks with you. Staff are very friendly very clean place to eat.

In all forty years of buying takeaways this one of worst I have ever experienced. Ok let’s start. (1) popadums should cooked fresh fir each orders our tastes like a week old and stale. (2) onion bahgis wet parted cooked the re cooked. As the first fat fry was allowed to be absorbed into the bahgis so when fried the second time the fat was sealed in (3) chicken Korma chicken was ok but the was gloopy with over use of ground coconut the boiled rice needs to washed through with boiling water as it was stuck together in a solid block. The order wasn’t anything a trainee chef could cook. You have to get your act together bc Adlai your website states you take card payment and was refuse as cash only. Does customs and excise know this.?

Just returned home from having a meal here with my Husband. Both our meals were absolutely gorgeous. Staff very welcoming and prices spot on. Cannot wait to return. Highly recommend.

Could not fault the food. Service was not so great. Took ages for them to take our order. We had to ask if we could please order the food. We booked for 8 o'clock. We only ordered a main course and it arrived at 9.20 food was lovely, but we had to ask for napkins and also when we first arrived we took our own drinks (as its bring your own bottle) and the waiter asked my wife if she would like a glass for her drink, she said yes please, she sat waiting for ages. He never came back! We had to ask a different guy for one. We didn't realise it was cash only, so had to go across the Rd to cash machine. The main problem seemed to be the delivery's for takeaways were busy. They were trying to get the deliveries done and answer the phone constantly, therefore not focusing on the customers who were actually in the building. I would not dine in there again, but as the food was tasty I would consider it for the takeaway option.

We had a really good meal most enjoyable, the downside it's CASH ONLY & a SURCHARGE CHARGE is added, not shown on menu.

Food was fantastic with amazing and welcoming staff. Take your own drink is a great feature here. Highly recommend.

We booked a table for my birthday. Arrived in good time. Waited for 5 minutes to be seated. Which is fine as it was a Saturday night. The staff split a table of 8 into a 6 and 2. We were right at the front of the restaurant. My partner sat down and within 30 seconds had drunk customers and staff barging past and making her leave her seat. Their response was “it’s a small restaurant, sorry” So we just got up and left. Utterly appalling way to treat loyal customers.

1st Time eating at the Darjeeling. The food was excellent and a good price. Wonderful service, what more can you ask for.

Beautiful food, was piping hot and the staff very efficient, has a lovely atmosphere in there and the cost of our meals was very good, definitely recommend, take your own alcohol as no bar.

Our go to place for a great and flavoursome meal! Everything comes out super hot and fresh. It is bring your own alcohol but as we don’t drink, it’s not a problem for us! Staff are polite too :)

Great Food and Service. Only negative is Cash Only.

Ordered meal online before 7pm and received confirmation both on website and via email. The earliest collection time was not until 8pm, which is pretty slow. Went to collect but apparently no order received. No apology!

Not a great experience went there for my birthday, started of poppadoms came pretty quick and then we sat and waited for nearly an hour for our food. I asked 2 waiters what's happening with our food it's been an hour and one waiter didn't come back to me and the other said its on its way. They made all the excuses under the sun that they had to cook the fish separately but when my friend eventually got her fish it was burnt. So not happy !!! 😕 I think it will be a long time before I go back

Food is good. But the last 2 takeaway meals have had missing items. We were asked to come and collect them. No other offer made or agreed to. Disappointed. Wont recommend on this basis.

You can bring your own booze here, which was welcome. We ordered poppadoms and the butter chicken and a chicken Buna with a side portion of onion bhajis. The food was excellent, very tasty, even the poppadoms were Crispy and the dips were brilliant. Will be going back to this lovely little restaurant.

Usually i come here for cheap and cheerful takeout, but tonight the standard of the chicken rogon josh made me ask if there was a new chef. Absolutely delicious moist chicken and fresh coriander on top. So I can highly recommend.

Good is good but they are always looking to do you over money wise, cash only. They tried to do it to a couple before us and then us after.

Food and service ok. Wasn't told it was cash only when we arrived and struggled to find out what desserts or be given a menu to see what desserts are available. After struggling to be understood by the waiter about what we wanted and being given a take away menu we got there in the end. It's an OK place but there are better places to goto

Food is decent but the restaurant is overbooked with takeaway. Service for eat in and takeaway is then too slow.

This curry was probably the worst curry I ever had, I ordered chicken tikka and it tasted like they got me a microwave dinner from Asda the worst thing about this was that it was wet and damp I do not recommend the best bit about my experience was when I left I do not recommend, also when I ordered my drink it took ages and when I finally got it there messed up my water was it wasn’t cold it was warm I certainly don’t trust this. PLEASE NEVER GO THERE.

We visited on new years day. Its bring your own alcohol. Starters was lovely came well presented and tasted lovely. Then there was a very long interval between starter and main (over 1 hour) as we was waiting we noticed cobwebs in the corner ceiling of the room near to wear I was eating and noticed they was prioritising the takeaway orders over the customers in there restaurant area. The main meal finally came out and 2 put of the 6 people's meal was stone cold. So had to send them back. When we went to pay they only excepted cash so we had to go and get cash out of a atm.

Food was nice came to far apart we got nan 10moms after food and waiters just on phones didn't care what was happening only us in there and still no cares given we felt like an inconvenience

I always judge an Indian restaurant by the quality of its chutney tray. This was....average.

Myself and my partner have been coming here since the very first day the restaurant opened. Raji, Tipo and the rest of the staff are friendly and create a fantastic environment. The food is always top class and great value for money when you consider there is also the option to bring your own booze if you want. Lovely guys, fantastic food, the very best ! 👌

We always love coming to this restaurant as there is an excellent choice of food on the menu and the food is always delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much for them. This is the best Indian restaurant and would highly recommend them.

Having paid £14.95 for a Special Balti Exotica with 'tandoori chicken, chicken tikka and TANDOORI KING PRAWN' to find NO king prawns is more than a disappointment! Presumably, the cost would have been considerably cheaper if I'd ordered just a chicken curry! My son-in-law, who ordered the same meal, was lucky, as he got ONE king prawn! No, cannot recommend.

Been going to the Darjeeling every wednesday for the last year or so, since our first visit. Always a pleasent welcome and the food in always and consistent. would and have and recommended this restaurant to many friends. you will not be disappointed.

Ordered through thier Web site, at least an hour plus to closing time, order was cancelled due having non items for our order ?, Darjeeling couldn't be bothered to ring us directly, they got Deliveroo to do thier dirty work for them, will we order again, Don't think so.

Extremely rude man on the phone who’s name I have tried to ask for and was spoken to again in a horrible manner. I have been in numerous times with my finance and had a korma it has no nuts on the menu and with a mild nut allergy it has always been amazing and the manager has catered for my needs. This man was horrible and has left me in tears ! I’m so disgusted after eating korma there all the time !

Initially walked in and the air con units were blasting out hot air and everyone around us were wafting themselves with menus to cool down. I suggest the staff should have been more aware of this and acted quicker. We asked if they could be turned to cool which they were promptly which gave a much better experience. From a service and food perspective everything was fantastic, perhaps a little slow but then it was very busy which was a good sign. The food was fantastic , the best Indian I've had in a long time. Visited this little gem for the first time last night. Not only has it all the old favourites but an excellent selection of fish dishes. My fish was cooked to perfection. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Added bonus, we are within walking distance. This may have been our first visit but it won’t be our last.

Not been here in a long time and to be honest it was really delicious food. There is a good choice of starters and mains plus accompaniments. The starters were fresh and hot, the mains were really tasty, I had a lamb dish and the lamb was not fatty and really tender and tasty. You take your own alcohol as it’s a dry restaurant and there was no corkage charge, they provided us with a wine cooler and bottle opener! There is a Co-op & a Sainsburys very close which is handy for the BYOB. Be warned they don’t do card payments, cash only. There is Wi-Fi. There is a childrens menu. Toilets clean & tidy. Would I recommend it, yes. Would I eat there again, yes.

Me, my mum and a family friend decided to eat here after not being out for so long since covid. It was our first time going to this restaurant and we really enjoyed the food. The service was fantastic and we felt at ease. I would highly recommend visiting ! =)

First time we are trying this restaurant and I was expecting to be pleased due to the star rating it had I was very disappointed. We ordered Lamb Dhal Gosht and Pepper Fry Lamb. Indian food should be correctly cooked. I am an Indian from Bangalore and I ha e eaten Lamb Pepper Fry many times. What we got was a travesty. Lamb Dhal Gosht is a Muslim dish and what we got was just not like a proper one. I am truly sorry that I have had to write such a critical review. Want real Indian food ... go to Asha's or Dishoom or even Rasassi Altrincham!!! Just to add... they have a dish on the menu called Rajasthani Chicken Masala... The restaurant describe it as a Chicken dish in a South Indian spicy sauce. Rajasthan is in the North East of India. At least be accurate in description if not recipe. @Darjeeling: Want to improve? Get a proper Indian chef who knows what the dishes are and how to make them. Take a little more time when cooking them and not be like a typical Bangladeshi take away. Otherwise, don't call yourself an Authentic Indian restaurant because that is not what you are.

Persuaded my parents to eat out at an Indian for a change, in the end my mum was looking forward to it, so I was hoping to convince her with great food & atmosphere. Neither were good, we had to pre order food from choice of 2 options off Xmas menu It was bring ur own alcohol, so we took few bottles of wine, there were no glasses on table, nor we were asked if we wanted any glasses. As soon as we Sat down they appeared with 2 plates between 5 of us which was sharing starter which didn't state that on menu. As soon as that went they brought main course without warning & cleared everyone's plates as they finished as others were still eating, then came the smallest unappealing dessert ever. Then made it clear we had to go as you could see people waiting to sit at out table in the small bar area. The whole experience was a disgrace, no atmosphere which you should have at Xmas at least.we Food way overpriced & not even nice. Wish we had never gone.

Been a few times to Darjeeling in Timperley Village, for both take-away and sit-in. For sit-in it is bring your own booze which can save you a bit on drinks. The food has been good overall, tasty and authentic. Will definitely be visiting again.

Just visited Darjeeling for the first time having been recommended by two goody friends .We had the garlic chilli masala and balti Jaipuri both were excellent as were the poppadums and garlic bread enough left for tomorrow 😂definitely go again very friendly staff too

Have been to the Darjeeling 4 times now. The food is excellent and very tasty. We’ve tried quite a few Indians in Manchester and this is by far the best. Bring your own beer too ! Definately worth a try if you’ve not been before.
